My husband took me to Via Triozzi for my birthday. It was our first time but we were so impressed! The atmosphere was fun and classy, and THE FOOD. OMG. So good! We tried the house made mozzarella and tomatoes, polpette, lasagna, and linguine and clams. The lasagna and linguine with the bread were definitely so yummy and authentic. The owner is also so sweet and even went through the dessert menu with us. We ll be back!

I have now been twice. The first time I did not enjoy my meal and I was pushed to go back a 2nd time just for the lasagna. First of all the atmosphere and service is 5 star. But....... the food is just not that good. I think the media in Dallas is so desperate for a good italian restaurant they tend to overlook the food ( or the pisitive reviews is paid for). The lasagna? Pasta was chewy and the bolognese was over-spiced and salty. I want this place to be good as the owner is wonderful and very attentive but the food just is another average to below average italian restaurant in Dallas

Thank the heavens! Dallas finally has a grown-up restaurant. Perfect small and delectable menu I mean we shared our dishes with the table next to us. So so good. I m ALWAYS going to order your version of arancini which did not disappoint! Delightful staff and ambiance is very beautiful and cozy. Best meal in a very long time in Dallas. Love that it is located in the eclectic lower Greenville Ave neighborhood. Just GO!

I loved that the restaurant wasn t very big so we felt like it was an intimate dining experience and the design and decor really made you feel like you could be in Italy. 10/10, A+ would absolutely come again!

Super disappointed with the food after reading so many wonderful reviews. Pasta was over cooked (a sin in italian cooking!), sauces were bland and lacking, the house made cheeses were just alright. The lasagna was the only thing I would be comfortable recommending to true italian lovers, and it was still just a hair over mediocre. Very sad to see that either so many dont know wonderful italian, or perhaps that quality has gone down hill since opening/past reviews. Hopefully Via is able to turn it around because it really does have a lot of potential, but right now, there are much better options in the Dallas area for this to even hit top five. In fairness, growing up in Manhattan with family off the boat of Italy has made me very picky, but if you are going to claim to be a little slice of Italy, you better deliver...

Simply the absolute best authentic italian fare with the ambience to match. Amazing. Lasagna was the best! The cocktails top notch and we really enjoyed the fluffy ricotta zucchini dish and the ravioli. The owner/chef Leigh was delightful as well as the bartenders and staff. Welcoming and friendly.

Mussels were not cleaned properly leaving the dish gritty. Pasta (agnolotti) was tough, undercooked, and served room temperature. The canolli tasted like it had been made and refrigerated for a day. The cookie wasnt crisp and filling not creamy. Its a pretty restaurant and the wine list was nice, but the food was very disappointing.

Our server Jordan was very good. We ordered several things and shared, all were fabulous. One criticism .workers other than our server kept asking multiple times to clear plates that still had food on them. Also, atleast 10 times different people asked how is everything? While it s so nice to have great service it got to be a bit annoying. We would go back for sure tho. And the decor is lovely. Can t wait for roof top bar to open.

If you are looking for a place to eat mediocre Italian food, this is it! The highly praised lasagna: it was way over-salted. I only had half and brought some home for leftovers - next day I reheated it and took a bite and yes, definitely too much sodium in that lasagna. I did like that the setting was small and felt intimate. The drinks I felt were just okay. My advice: if you want excellent Italian food, go to Il Bracco instead

Carbonara tasted like it was flavored with burnt bacon drippings. I took a bite or two and just thought my pallet needed to warm up to it, but I simply couldnt eat it, and thats rare for me to send a dish back to the kitchen. I usually like everything. Both desserts we had were simply bad and deeply unsatisfying. Had I not already sent back the spaghetti, I would have sent both of these back as well, and perhaps I should have. We had the chocolate tort which was exceptionally dry. The strawberry sauce was clearly a mistake. Somebody must have added too much sugar then added some vinegar to bring back the tartness, or whatever they did, it was just awful. I had tiramisu, and like others reviews here too, it was dry. Wheres the wet stuff - rum, cream, espresso? Even with poor assembly, tiramisu isnt hard to get the flavor right. Service was okay. A little inattentive but nothing major. I absolutely wont be back. Osteria 61 in Ft. Worth is worth a trip. Even Carbones would is much better, though its more flash and style, than Via.

What a great hidden gem in Dallas! Our 1st experience here. Went for a birthday dinner last night. We had the Coccoli for a starter, the stracchino cheese incredible. We had the Tagliatelle al Ragu and Nani Angies Chicken Cacciatore. We could have shared the chicken. Both were incredible. One of the best bolognese Ive ever had. Leigh, the owner, hand delivered dessert with a candle to end our meal. The service and atmosphere were great. Cant wait to go back and explore more of the menu. Make a reservation, you wont regret it. It immediately became our go-to for authentic Italian in Dallas.

Had some high expectations for this place based off its reputation, and from my opinion it didnt live up to the hype. We decided to go family style and ordered a ton of the sharing dishes and three pastas. A lot of the dishes were way to salty for my taste. It would be a lot better if they put less salt in many of the dishes. It may be an American palate thing? The romano beans tasted good but too salty, the meatballs were sort of dry (dont recommend), and lasagna was too salty. Dishes that were good were the mozzarella, ricotta montata, their mussels dish, and the bolegnese was probably my favorite. Overall, I cant complain about the meal, as it was very tasty, but just the salt levels were too much for some of the dishes. Also, plan to be VERY full at the end of your meal, as we all had carb over-load from the bread and pasta. Didnt feel too good afterwards due to the carb over-load as well as the other heavy dishes we ate. The one big plus was the tiramisu, as it was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Highly recommend the tiramisu. The service was decent but a bit slow at times. Dont plan to be back again as it was just too heavy for my taste.

This is our spot for everything- celebrations, guests in town, chill dinner on a Wednesday, solo dinner by myself at the bar, it s just perfection for everything and never fails. The owner has done a marvelous job at making sure it s not just for looks. How the food is even better than the already beautiful decor I m honestly not sure how that s possible but it s a fact. From the moment you walk in you immediately forget you re in the US. I cried eating the Arancini balls because it reminded me so much of Italy (I m European.) We ve tried every single item on the menu and there is truly no bar dish. If my body allowed, I would get one of each item every time I dine there. From the hostess to bartenders/servers and support, everyone does an incredible job and making things seem seamless. Truly an elevated dining experience. Cocktails are also absolutely delicious and the bar manager Izzy does a fabulous job at helping you pair the perfect wine or creative cocktail with your meal all the way to dessert with a digestive. I truly cannot say enough good things about this gem. The owner makes owning a restaurant look easy and that says a lot because it s quite possibly one of the hardest jobs. Top 3 favorite restaurants in Dallas. Cannot freaking wait for their rooftop to open!

Via Triozzi hits every point of service really well. The food and cocktails are curated with care and intention, and the staff is friendly without hovering too much, which can be a difficult balance for restaurants. The aesthetic is filled with charm and a sense of home, and the menu offers a wide spread of flavors. Everything is great and worth exploring, but the surprise is the lasagna. Even the most poor opinion of the dish will be converted after the experience here. It s worth it. Other notables are the eggplant parmesan, arugula salad, and the ricotta montata. Get a spread and let them course it out for you perfectly. Being located in Lower Greenville is also a win because the entire area is packed with character and loads of options across the board to entertain yourself with. Overall, this place is a must-visit. Just be sure to set a reservation.

Came here without a reservation to celebrate my anniversary, while there weren t any tables available, my girlfriend and I happily sat at the bar for our experience for a few hours. Izzy and Julia, the bartenders, were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on the menu, and Izzy made wonderful recommendations. While I do agree with some other reviews here about the meatballs being a tad rubbery or dry and the lasagna being a little salty, everything else was very appetizing. Our favorite dish was the house made ricotta with the grilled zucchini (don t remember the actual name). What really blew us away overall, was sitting at the bar was a blast and still felt like an elegant meal; being able to enjoy some incredible cocktails, some of which Izzy created himself. Our favorite from the menu was the Autunno. While it doesn t have a name yet, I strongly recommend his specialty after dinner drink with the fernet menta, it pairs PERFECTLY with the deconstructed cannoli. I know this isnt everyone s cup of tea but it took me back to my childhood with its flavor similar to mint chocolate chip ice cream (but WAY better). We will absolutely be back to enjoy the bar! The dining room and ambiance is also beautiful. Thank you for a great time Izzy !

Pretty restaurant, great ambiance but just average food. The lasagna was extremely over cooked pasta was just mush and all the fat had cooked out of the meat sauce, making it very dry. Polpette meatball appetizer, the meat mix was too dry which produced rubber balls, not tender meatballs. Linguine and clams were good, but its not a difficult dish to make and there wasnt anything unique to their rendition. It s a trendy, lively space but the food is mediocre at best. We were seated 25 minutes late on a Monday evening reservation with no comped beverage while we waited. The food was insanely salty resulting in a nearly inedible NY Strip. The pasta was good, but nothing out of this world (salty, too al dente). The worst was the service as it seemed as though our server was either stoned or drunk. Our waiter constantly forgot what we had ordered and circled back twice to clarify after he had already written it down (nothing was special or custom). Then, he came back and asked if we wanted to order drinks after we had just ordered a bottle of wine. We reminded him, after having a conversation with him specifically on the affordability of the wine list, that we wanted the Tuscan blend, one of the least expensive on the menu. We were floored when our check came and there was a charge for a $168 bottle of another Tuscan blend. After a few very polite back & forths with him, the solution from the manager was to split the cost of the bottle. I m sorry, but if there are two similar bottles of wine with a $90+ price difference and you are not certain which wine your table ordered, bring over the menu and confirm! Very poor experience after so much hype.

Went in with potentially too high of expectations given the hype around this place, so hoping they had a bad night tonight and this isn t the usual experience of customers: Fairly long strand of hair was baked into our focaccia bread. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, she apologized and offered to bring us more bread (which they ended up charging us for). Needless to say we weren t super eager to jump back into the bread. It s also fairly standard practice when there is hygienic issues with the food to not charge the customer for said food, let alone also charge again for the replacement food. Two (Cacio e pepe and lasagna) of our three ordered pastas arrived cold. They seemed premade and just reheated, albeit not thoroughly. Really wanted to like this place but definitely better, fresher Italian can be found in Dallas. Likely won t be returning or recommending.

Via Triozzi was amazing. This is not an easy reservation to get, but its worth the effort it takes to secure one. Lets start with the staff, David was our Server, or as I like to call him, our personal guide through all things Via Triozzi. He was fantastic. Had a very firm grasp on the cocktail menu and wine list. He was also very adept at explaining the dishes. We had shown up with some ideas about what to order, but David provided additional insights that steered in some different directions. I cant say enough great things about his attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and overall care that he gave our table. I also would like to compliment Leigh Hutchinson for actually making you feel like you were eating at her house. She made multiple trips by our table to see how we were doing, and she is such a genuinely kind and awesome person, that it just added something extra to the meal. With regards to the food, it was outstanding. Our table had the Polpette, bread, Whipped Ricotta, Cacio e Pepe, the Ravioli di Zucca, the Wagyu strip steak and the deconstructed Canoli. While it was all amazing, the dishes that stole the show last night were the Whipped Ricotta, the Ravioli, the steak and deconstructed Canoli. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we could not have asked for a better experience. They are doing their part to elevate the dining options on Lower Greenville. We are already planning our next trip to Via Triozzi. Thank you David and Leigh!

Via Triozzi is a breath of fresh air when it comes to Italian food in Dallas. Tried lots of places and they re all missing that it factor for me. Passion for the cuisine which I have to say Leigh definitely has. We ve dined here twice now and each experience has been great. The restaurant is beautiful with nice personal touches and the service is fantastic. We ve had the ricotta which is a must try, arugula and bresaola, lasagne, and the New York strip had a lot of flavor. Pastas are also great and made in house. Leigh spent a lot of her time stopping in to talk to our table which was so nice and she was fun and personable. Took me back to my experiences at different trattorias in Italy, and honestly with the amount of new restaurants that just keep popping up in Dallas, I appreciate the personal touch and care she has for her restaurant and customers. We came to celebrate both my brothers and my birthdays on a Saturday evening. Our server was wonderful and helped us pick a bottle of red wine from their curated wine menu. We enjoyed the lasagna, ricotta montata and arugula & bresaola. The bolognese was a little lackluster as was the cannolo dessert, although they did add birthday candles which was a special touch. What was strange was right after they brought us to our table and before we were seated, I quickly asked the hostess walking by if we could sit in a booth table instead which she said was no issue and she moved us. However, the man who had brought us to the table kept giving us funny looks as if we had just moved ourselves. Also, the female manager/owner (not sure which) came by every table in the restaurant to check in and chat except for ours. One of the tables was turned over while we were there and she came by that one twice. Not a big deal, just felt really odd having her skip our table over and started to wonder if it had to do with us asking to swap tables.

My friend and I made reservations for 5:40PM. We arrived at 6pm and were running a little late. Luckily it was one of the coldest days here in TX and they were very kind and considerate and seated us immediately. The first impression I got from the restaurant s aesthetic is cozy, elegant and homie. The table was set beautifully and the service was top tier. The servers were orchestrating a full on experience with the meal. We ordered the meatballs with bread and the anchovies on top of the bread were phenomenal with the marinara sauce. Once our entree came I was surprised with how beautifully the raviolis were plated. The first bite made me feel like the food critic in ratatouille. It was complex, exquisite and everything I needed in this cold weather. My friend enjoyed the lasagna and we finished off the course with a tiramisu that was very light and fluffy. It s not often that I am impressed to the point that I wanted to leave a review the moment we left. I m left so impressed that I have to say this was one of the best Italian meals I ve ever had. This new Italian on Greenville Avenue offers a relatively small menu of classics focused on pasta and steak. Some of the items are really outstanding Roman Beans, Arancini and Lasagna, but others are quite average. I d also like to see more protein mains as they currently only have two versions of Fiorentina and Chicken Cacciatore. Service was friendly and attentive. The bar area is beautiful, and they have a small, well-curated selection of Italian wines, although they were out of several BTG options. The restaurant has a rustic design that I think could be really intimate and enjoyable if they can get their lighting figured out. It was so bright on our visit, that it was distracting and uncomfortable. I think there is a lot of potential here if they can get the kinks worked out. I m eager to give it another shot in a few weeks.

We re sitting at dinner right now and couldn t help but to post as we sit here. This dinner has been incredible- and we re not even done! We ve had the arancini, whipped ricotta, the most delicious salad, and the lasagna and porterhouse just came out. This steak hands down beats anything we ve had from bob s, nick and Sam s, or pappas brothers. It s insane. Plus- our server is the sweetest and when our wine of choice was out, she made a fantastic suggestion that pairs great with both and we might have a new favorite. Do. Not. Miss.

For being called an authentic Italian (Tuscan) restaurant, I see many mistakes as not having bread and olive oil on the table. A couple of Tuscan dishes were missing on the menu as well such as crostini, a plate with assorted cheeses and salumi, something with black cabbage the list goes on. The menu is very limited, too limited. The place is beautiful, staff was very nice and the owner came by to check on us, which was appreciated. I ordered the bresaola and arugula salad, the ravioli and the tiramisu. (Bread as well which was charged for 12) and it came a total of almost 80. Too expensive. Both savory dishes were really good, wasn t expecting the ravioli to be that good. Perfectly cooked and amazing umami flavor. The tiramisu was not traditional. It wasn t made with ladyfingers therefore it was moister than it should ve been, but the mascarpone/cream was amazing.

Absolutely incredible dinner at a gem of a restaurant. Every bite we ate was delicious, elegant, comforting, unpretentious, and executed to perfection. Each bite brought me back to some of my favorite meals in Italy and the wine list was excellent. The service and hospitality were also outstanding. Not only was our waiter really nice, explained everything really well, and answered all our questions enthusiastically, but the whole staff was so welcoming given that we were there with our 5 month old daughter for our first nice dinner out since she was born. They found a spot for us to park our stroller and the owner came out to check on us and see if we wanted her to hold the baby so we could focus on the meal. It felt like we were being served by family.

Our waitress did a great job explaining the menu, recommending drinks, and not rushing us through our meal. The food was something out of this world and hard to believe it was a restaurant in Dallas and not something out of Europe. Drinks were excellent. Overall the meal was very reasonably priced for the 3 courses and 2 drinks we got but you will expect to spend a little over 100 dollars. If you want a great place to take a significant other. Service and atmosphere great, but quite frankly the steak for two was disappointing. For the price being charged, the steak shouldnt have unrendered streaks of fat, an inconsistent cook and huge patches of over seasoning. The sear/char wasnt even great. The rest of the food was good so 4 stars but do not order the steak. Leave that for a steakhouse.

Truly one of the best and most consistent experiences in the city and would rival those around the world. This place was recommended from a good friend of mine a true foodie and he couldnt stop raving about it so my wife treated me for my birthday. What an absolutely outstanding place from the moment you walk in your are swept away into elegance in Italy! Honestly the decor, details, layout are just exquisite. You immediately get a warm sensation as you enter and you are greeted by the wonderful host team they have upfront (pleasant and smiling all the time). Next you pass a gorgeous bar that is lead by a stellar team of Damon, Julia and David! Serving the best drinks in Dallas, they are a great team and it shows! I couldnt believe the excellent wine choices at a staggering low price ($36 bottle of Barbera) and honestly the other bottles are all around that price!!! In times like these someone serving bottles of wine at this price in this city is outstanding!! I applaud them for allowing everyone to afford a dining experience that competes with the absolute best. We have now gone 5 times in less than 2 weeks and I cant say enough about the amazing food that weve had the opportunity to experience. Each dish and each bite is the culmination of cultures, brilliance, love and expertise. We are so blessed to have this chef in our city and so lucky she chose here! She has put together an experience and home made pasta that will blow your mind! She literally makes the pasta in house and if you walk by at the right time you can see them in the window making the pasta, tell me who else is doing that? Ill wait. Back to the food, start with the Ricotta and your taste buds will thank you, then move to the salad (Arugula E Bresaola) I dont like salads and i absolutely loved loved loved this one! You have to try it and then the decisions get much much harder to make because you will want to eat everything but i suggest just revisiting over and over again....so here goes get the best damn lasagna you will ever have in your life, hands down and no competition (dont believe me go and try) then tell me. You will also need to get one of the best steaks in the city of Dallas....i know...I know...its Dallas and to have a steak here you have to be better than anywhere in the world....well...guess what it is!!! The New York Strip.....OMG!!!! Ive had it 4 times and every single time perfection! Its a Rosewood steak for steak lovers! There is nothing about this place that you will not love....including the prices. Its an experience that is affordable and wonderful people! You will never want to leave because it feels like home, if you lived in Italy. Go see Chef Leigh Hutchinson who trained in Italy. You will likely see me there because we go a lot!!! I will make sure to add photos next time I am in. Parking: The valet is free just get the code from your server or bar tender.

While we were waiting for a table, the head chef/owner just happened to be walking around, and we started talking about her inspiration for the restaurant. She is meticulous in recreating an authentic Italian experience, and I would say she delivered on all fronts. The food is incredible, and the cocktails are absolutely worth trying (we were introduced to an experimental cocktail that uses their house made mozzarella whey as an ingredient, and it was REALLY good - I hope they bring it onto their cocktail menu in the spring). TLDR - Go here if you want to travel to the Italian countryside without having to book an international flight

FINALLY!!! An authentic Italian restaurant in Dallas. After moving here from Boston, my fiancé and I have been on the hunt to find a place to get our Italian fix. Right in the heart of Lower Greenville, this new hot spot has checked ALL our boxes (and were already obsessed). First off, it goes without saying, but the food is incredible. I mean... just look at the photos. And while youre at it, please take a second to admire the aesthetic and ambiance. I believe all the decor in this restaurant are pieces the owner, Leigh, has collected over the years, and every photo displayed is of her loved ones. Shes created such an intimate, warm, cozy, romantic, chic atmosphere, that you forget youre in Dallas, TX and think youre in the heart of a little Italian town. I also need to give a nod to the super kind staff. They make you feel so welcomed. They want to take care of you and its obvious theyre there with the priority of providing stellar 11/10 service. We dined at the bar for about 1-2 hours and left feeling like we had made friends with everyone behind the bar. The owner has clearly put her heart and soul into this establishment and it shows. Her journey to live in Italy to master the art of Italian cooking first-hand adds a richness to the dining experience thats rare. I loved to see how friendly, caring, and involved she was with her guests in making sure everyone was having such a pleasant experience. I cant say it enough; the vibes at Via Triozzi are unmatched. The perfect spot for a date night, girls night out, celebratory dinner, or just an excuse to indulge in some insane Italian. I think I can speak for all of Dallas when I say thank you, Leigh for creating such an amazing, memorable experience that tastes just like home and beyond to Italy.

This is a small, lovely place with a feel-good atmosphere. The one atmospheric deterrent is that it faces west and the late afternoon sun was hard on the eyes and I had to wear my sunglasses at least the first half hour I was there. There are semi-transparent shades over these windows, but they are not sufficient. Advice: sit in the back if you are in one of the booths facing west and the sun is up. The food was hit or miss. Our starter, fried squash blossoms (love the texture, love squash blossoms), was painfully salty. We let our server and the gentleman who asked us how our meal was know about this problem and we sent the remainder away. They seemed very open to the feedback which was refreshing. It was later removed from our bill. The pane bianco (bread) was really good. We elected to have the anchovies in it which definitely gave it more flavor. I think I would have been bored with it sans anchovies. My pesto fusilli was very good and I will try that again, but my companions tagliatelle was dry. When I specifically asked if there was chocolate on the dessert, deconstructed cannoli, I was told there was not. I ordered it and she was embarrassed that it showed up with chocolate sprinkled on the top of it. She did offer to switch it out for something else, but my companion was fine with the chocolate, so I let it be and my companion ate the dessert. Just a note here that the menu is difficult for a vegetarian. I would hope in time when the kinks are worked out they will expand the menu to include more non-meat (as well as non-cream) items. Our server had a great personality and that always is beneficial to the overall experience. I look forward to having my fusilli again and maybe even giving the squash blossoms another try, but without salt.

And boy did she deliver! The lasagna was delicious and the drinks were stellar. The bartenders were especially impressive. Their excitement to explain all the complexities of mixology was infectious, and they knew their stuff! The seating situation was difficult. We did not have a reservation (which is on us), but we were placed to the side to wait for bar seating. My wife and I waited for 45 minutes, and when a seat opened up, someone else took it before we could get there (once again, on us). I say this so you know to make a reservation. If you cant, then be ready to fight for a seat at the bar. Once youre there, everythings great, but it was hard not to let that bother us. Parking: Parking in Lower Greenville is always difficult. Oh we wanted to love this place! And if this review were just on atmosphere, it would be glowing. It is a gorgeous interior and it will do so well just because of how it looks and where it is. But weve lived in Italy, and a restaurant that calls itself Italian and does not offer bread to the table, is not Italian. The food was ok. Pesto and potatoes is a very unique dish and I was so excited about it - and it was fair but my gosh was it over salted and very sparing on the pesto. The service is very nice - clearly working out the kinks of being the new kid on the block. But the menu is another issue - it is SO limited. Just a few options. The mozzarella appetizer was very odd and nothing weve ever seen anywhere in Italy - one huge chunk of rubbery mozzarella with grapes and roasted tomatoes - not stellar by any stretch and very hard to eat. Hopefully they enlarge their menu as they grow and remember to add the bread. I dont think Ive even been to an Italian restaurant in NYC that doesnt bring bread. This is a signature to Italian eating.

I have been tougher in the past few years on judging restaurants on where I am seated relative to what is available when I am seated. And who are given better seats than I am given after I am seated that were open when I was seated. With half the restaurant available the manager decided we should sit next to the expo window and the restroom corridor. What will I remember? The great food or being judged not worthy of a decent table? These days I remember the intangibles.

We walked in here on a whim while waiting for a table next door. We asked to sit at the bar as we only wanted a quick cocktail, and the bar was full. Without hesitation, they cleared a dinner table for us, offered us a delicious appetizer on the house even though their kitchen was closed. They brought us our cocktails (that were second to none) and provided excellent service. My only complaint is that we were too late to make dinner. Definitely will be coming back for dinner!

This place is a gem!! Beautiful space that s inviting, not pretentious, and incredible chef and service. It s the real deal - authentic Italian dishes and flavor. We had an amazing night sitting at the bar drinking wine and enjoying the delicious lasagna - can t wait to be back!
