I only came here a couple of time but food is always good and Elli is such a amazing server. Shes very tentative and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the 3 meat pizza and it was very delicious. She always made sure we are good and she is fast will everything we order. I highly recommend coming here and asking for Elli for your server.

Best pizzas in town! Im now a regular because I live so close. They have some of the best pool tables too. My only con is sometimes my order is wrong and if the bar is full theres basically no one serving you at the tables in the slow hours, which is understandable. The food portions are perfect size ans they pour a good drink. Great view of downtown too. 90% off the staff is super friendly and good at their job! Overall Ill be spending hundreds here over the years! Great neighborhood sports bar!

Went there to order a couple burgers for me and my wife and got the complete sloppy opposite! The food was very bland with no taste whatsoever. The portions were enough to fill a premature baby. And on top of that had the nerve to get my order wrong after waiting for hella long. Then try and bring it to the dopefiend manager there( some lady) she gets rude and almost got what she was looking for over my $$$ I m spending in the lousy, drug induced environment. It s in a nice area, but the workers are smokers and addicts it looks to be. Very unprofessional place by far and would advise against going there ever. Too high for the Burger King taste and too loud for anyone to enjoy anything other than people who can t sing the entire time! Total waste of time and $$$! Parking: Maybe a few spots dependent on the time and occupancy of the patrons.

Ive been going to the tavern for 2 years now and have had nothing but great experiences and the food is actually super good but they have hired someone new and warning IF YOU ARE BLACK HE WILL BE RUDE!!! He was deliberately ignoring me while speaking about nothing to another patron and when i approached him he stepped back as is i had cooties or something then continued to be rude to the point that i just walked out. He also seemed to be drunk himself.

I given this place 18 months to get my food edible. Last time ever. I ordered a Caesar salad extra dressing with grilled chicken to go. I asked for the chicken to be in a separate box to keep salad cold. 35 minutes later I asked about my salad. Bartender returned with salad and plopped the styrofoam container on the bar. I ve been a cook for 180 restaurants. I could tell it sat in the hot window for at least 20 minutes. So I got a hot overdressed Caesar with dry chicken chunks. By this time the salad and chicken are the same temp. Note to kitchen staff: Togo salads always have dressing on the side with the hot meat in a second container. I had to ask him for a Togo bag. I got home and took 4 bites of it because I was starving, put it in the refrigerator to try and salvage the $18 spent. It just decomposed. I threw it away. Confronting inept people with their failings is a waste. It my fault for having hope that they could execute the simplest of entrees just because I want it and they are close. At this point I m taking it personal and will never spend another dime there. Sorry John.

Prices are decent and thats one of the few things its got going on. Outside of the ravs food leaves something to be desired and service is slow and not particularly nice. It has potential but its just not living up to it yet. The struggle was real on a night with big local games.

For a bar/tavern they have a huge selection of food. I didn t have high expectations for the food but was impressed with the cheesesteak I ordered. It was tasty, meat was very tender, and the fries had some type of Cajun seasoning on them that was really good. Service was great considering it was several tables and only one server. They also have a small balcony that s covered with a slight view of downtown!

12/9 i came in and had some really great wings, 12/10 i came again and had the same wings. This time they seemed a bit old or over cooked. Regardless, i ate the wings. Did not want to waste food. I mentioned this to my Bar Tender Jonathan. He took it upon himself to correct this and offered me another order of wings and gave me a complimentary drink. I appreciate the dedication to customer service. Because of Jonathan i will surely comeback knowing the level customer satisfactory is his top priority. Need more guys like him.

Food was excellent and had a nice variety of entertainment. Customer service was poor after having a night of feeling ignored and looked over by our server. Price was fair for the food quality but felt small portions for the starters. Tried ordering alcohol but they were out of nearly everything and the one drink I did have tasted of nothing but alcohol. A score of about 4/10 for me, would not recommend or be coming again.

We are visiting Dallas from out of town and saw they had trivia on Sunday nights. We had a great time with trivia, but our pizza was pretty disappointing. We ordered a big salad to share, weren t given individual plates or bowls from our waitress. The wings were good but we had ordered a veggie pizza add chicken. It arrived, via the manager delivering it, with no chicken and raw veggies not even a bit charred. She did return to bring us plates so we asked about the chicken to ensure we weren t charged. After then eating some of the pizza, we were 100% convinced the pizza had bbq sauce on it - it was more of a maroon color and extremely sweet. So we asked the waitress who then took the pizza back into the kitchen with the manager. They come back out and said that s their house marinara sauce. It s awful. She asked if she could remake the pizza and add the chicken, but we declined because the sauce and veggies were still going to be the same. So we enjoyed the salad and wings and picked at the pizza. To our surprise, the manager comped the pizza and prepared us a new one with a garlic pesto sauce and the chicken we had originally ordered. Excellent service by the manager and we tipped 60% for the consideration.

I come here most Fridays nights for the karaoke but my experience on 8/4/23 after 10 pm was bad. Our server was a young girl with dark roots and blonde hair. She took my order when we first came in. The restaurant was busy so I waited for her to come back and check on us but she didn t. She served the rest of the bar, attended to new guests, and talked to her friends at another table. This went on about an hour before I was finally able to get her attention to order again. After that for another 30+ mins she serves the rest of the bar, checked on other tables, took a video of her friend and sat at their table. At this point my friend went to go ask her about the drink I ordered and a few minutes later she comes back with waters. I asked about the drink I ordered and she responded you didn t say that before. I said yes I did and she walked off and mumbled no you didn t. My boyfriend across the table heard me order the drink. She comes back with the drink and says that my tab has been transferred to the bar and that I can go up there if I want to order anything else. I let her know I was ready to close out. A bartender with dark hair comes back with my check and my friend asks to speak to a manager. The bartender said yes at first but when my friend asked again the bartender let us know there was no manager in right then but she could relay the message. My friend explains the situation and the bartender apologizes. I love coming here for karaoke but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Excellent service! Our server was so friendly, attentive and knew the menu well. We had brunch on a Sunday around noon and sat outside on the gorgeous second floor patio. I think it was an easy mistake for any patron to make given the way their website is set up so I would hope they get their website menu redesigned ASAP. I ve been coming here for a whole now (in person) but today I decided to order online instead. Most days I have no complaints besides the NIGHT Shift Chef is TOP TIER!! They deserve a big raise, day shift not so much prepare for your stuff to come back burnt or overcooked. NOW today, I ordered an ENTREE & a side soup = No soup - the restaurant refused to compensate in any way or refund me. They also refused to provide any assistance besides telling me to reach back out through the ordering website. This is completely ridiculous. I thought based off what I was told it would be great but this place was absolutely terrible. Now really the food wasn t that bad, the the biggest issue I had was my waitress. She was playing on her phone while putting in someone s order, she ignored her other tables and only stayed at one of them, she forgot to give me my silverware so we waited to for her to get some but we ended up having to ask the bartender. This is a good location but theres nothing in the way of atmosphere inside and really nothing to differentiate it from other places, except the price, which is way too much for what you get. The burgers are $15+ and the beers are pretty much all $6-$8 so youre not getting out with a meal and a drink for less than about $25. They also add 3.5% for using a credit card. Theres a statement to that effect on the bill but its not itemized.

A 1 was too generous. We sat outside for the game and the waitress out there ignored us the entire time with several attempts of service. She did serve all the other tables outside but not once did she even speak or look at us. When I caught her inside she said I am not your waitress. We spoke to the manager after having to catch a waitress inside who, bless her heart, tried her best to help but was overworked inside. The manager did nothing. The waitress who helped us was so discombobulated she accidently ordered us 3 orders of fries versus the 1 we ordered. It was not a good experience.

This girl bartender was very rude. She didn t acknowledge me what so ever. When I asked her if she was accepting orders she rolled her eyes and said yeah I m busy I ll be with you when I can but with a nasty tone. She quickly dismissed me then went on to have a personal conversation with some other guest. She never greeted me at all. Another waiter greeted me after 15 minutes to check to see if I needed help. Its a five star with a caveat. We ate the St Louis style pizza. Its 5 stars for being an authentic St Louis style pizza. However, be warned, the provel cheese giving the authenticity must, Must, be made from Elmers glue. So take some home for the kiddos, I remember liking glue quite a bit. Stumbled upon this place by accident. This place was packed. The Soccer game ENG/USA was on tv and the crowd was LIVE. Our server Chantelle was fantastic! She was hustling! We ordered the meatball sub, turkey sandwich and black and blue burger, everything was great. The manager was fantastic! To see him hustle at the bar, serving food, taking time to speak to patrons. It was a great experience and I would definitely come back when we are back in Dallas.

I ve ordered at this place multiple times online and I definitely enjoyed the food. However the experience today was nothing short of disgusting. I entered the establishment today around 1:30pm to place a bulk order for myself and staff members. After waiting for a few minutes a gentleman from the kitchen finally comes to take my order due to a guest from the bar having to inform him that I-was there waiting, As he walked to the register he didn t make a formal greeting or welcome but immediately asked what would you like to order. So i prepared to give my order by reviewing the sticky note I had in my hand, while my eyes were down on the sticky note I casually informed the bartender that this will be a big order, and seconds after began to voice my order by stating that I wanted 6 of the lunch burgers. With immediate interjection the waiter told me that they the lunch burgers are for dine in only amd that I would have to pay the full price for the burgers if it s takeout. While I was shocked I kindly responded and stated that I ve ordered the burgers online before and I ve paid that the lunch price. But John I believe his name was didn t provide detail on how I was able to get that price nor attempt to challenge What I was saying. Therefore led me to believe I was being discriminated against for my personal appearance. After he told me that I would have to pay full price I told him to hold off on order as I needed a second to confirm with my co-workers whether or not if they still wanted to order although we were not getting the lunch price. And they did not. So I walked out. On my way out and down the stairs with one hand hold my phone to my ear and the other hand free, I hear the waiters voice calling for my attention.. so I stopped to listen and he responded and said he s not trying to run away business but there another place called country burger that will give you the price you re looking for(not verbatim). Which was even more demeaning, he insinuated the issue was solely about the price. While price played a piece it wasn t the entire reason why. The fact was that I ve ordered the lunch burger twice before online and I was granted that price. But I never personally picked it up. Both times I paid for it but had co-workers go pick it up instead. Both co-workers are female. Which made me feel since I was a black male entering this place that circumstantial rules were applied. I WILL never spend a dollar at this place again, nor will my co-workers for that matter. And I want to encourage any other person to speak up if this has happened to you before as well. It s sad some businesses allow individuals to be in these sort of positions. All it does is create a bad reputation and damper business.

I never leave reviews unless a place blows it out of the water or is an absolute dumpster fire. Sylvans was an absolute DUMPSTER FIRE. Here are the reasons in a concise manner: 1) Never got a server. 2) Ordered using QR website (the only option) and was forced to pre pay and pre-tip. Again never had a server 3) Order the alabama smash cocktail off the menu. It was 15 dollars and they were out of the liquor, the berries and liqor. So what I got was watered down bottom shelf Whiskey. 4) Ordered the lettuce wrap, which I have never been wronged with anywhere else. It came on a limp piece of Walmart quality lettuce (think wet napkin) with store bought Pico de Gallo and Tai sauce. 5) The staff left the order sitting out until hour past and we had to go physically ask for it. This was apparently due to not knowing what table the order was for. However we used a table linked QR code, so not sure how that makes sense. 6) Lastly, we had no chance to ask for a refund or reduce tip for poor service because we paid up front :( Ill take the blame here and in the future I will always request a server or move on to different restaurant. Automating a restaurant is clearly a mistake. Hopefully they build off this review and use it to improve somethings. However, I doubt I will ever come back :/

The app for the table menu is a waste of time. They charge tip when the order is placed. Next our chicken wings come out near raw, not hot nor crispy. Then to top it off we sat for 20min before I had to remind them of our drinks. My Long Island was just lemonade with vodka. I would recommend when hungry or thirsty; you look somewhere else unless you saddle up to the bar and order beers, then I m sure you re fine. Is this establishment joined with Sylvan Learning Inst. for special needs?

The only good thing there was the service from our waitress. The pizza is not good at all. It is like it comes frozen and they just stick in an oven. No flavor and the crust is burnt...we got two pizzas and they were both meh. Definitely feel like I wasted my money especially because of how pricey the pizza is. Maybe they had a bad night because I don t know how other reviews can say the pizza is good after tasting it last night.

I love TEN ramen down stairs from here and always wanted to try this place out and finally did and ended up loving this place as well. I had the Wake And Bake Burger with fries and it was one of the best burgers Ive ever had. The meat was juicy and flavorful and combined with the other condiments on it like the fried egg, the sauce and the fried jalapenos really made for the perfect recipe! After I ate I enjoyed the free pool tables they have and the pinball machines as well, it was a nice vibe and Im definitely gonna come try the pizza next time I stop by.

I got the black and blue burger, which has bacon jam sauce. The burger was sweet and savory, had a nice soft sweet brioche bun toasted. Side of fries were also good. Had the toasted raviolis, it was not that good, filling tasted weird. They do have karaoke and an arcade. It s probably fun for someone who wants to grab drinks and do the activities inside but for me it didn t really have a wow factor for me to come back again.

I ve been a fan of their sister restaurant, Bryan Street Tavern, for awhile now. I really enjoyed the ambiance of Sylvan Ave Tavern! Definitely has a warm and inviting vibe, great spot to watch a game and really good lighting that I always wish was there at BST. Overall, you can t beat the food here! Soooooo good. I highly recommend the Tavern Favorite as they use sausage from Jimmy s food store. Will definitely be coming back!

It s a cool little spot in a nice location. Our server was nice but not very friendly. Main reason for taking away stars was the food just frankly wasn t very good. We got two different wing flavors and they were okay. Also got a basket of 3 sides and we got French fries, fried pickles, and fried ravioli. Fries and ravioli were decent, but don t bother getting the fried pickles. They were barely breaded and the breading came out soggy too. Also thought prices were fairly high for a spot like this, especially since their other business (Bryan St Tavern) has some great deals. Won t be in a rush to be coming back here

It was an opening worth waiting for! I was so excited when they finally opened. We went for an evening setting, and the view is amazing. Go for a night time dine in, you can see the Dallas skyline.
