We moved here from Houston and we were looking for a place near our apartment to call home away from home. River Pig was the place we found. The atmosphere, drinks and food are incredible. What really make this place stand out is the staff. Jarrett, Eli and co go above and beyond. I now consider them family. Come Jarret and grab a beer and wood fire grilled pizza, you cannot go wrong. Eating at a bar/restaurant is a treat to me, since I am a teacher. Coming here was honestly a disappointment. I asked for the house Pinot Gris (which is a white whine and on the menu as a house wine) and the waitress told me there was only a house red, other whites that are more expensive. I understand if this place is more used to serving mixed drinks and beers, but their staff needs to know wines, as well.

Food, service, drinks were awesome. Only issue is someone is legally deaf who works at the restaurant and plays the music to the point where you have to both yell at your server and your friends to communicate. Please setup a GoFundMe for said employee to afford a headset or a hearing aid to fix this.

We had weekday afternoon to ourselves and wanted to try this place after driving by several times. We had a great selection of draft craft beers to try and happy hour snacks on bargain. Aisha was our bartender/server and she was fabulous! Very attentive and friendly, please try out River Pig for her alone but the menu looks so good, well be back to try some of the options including pizza cooked in a wood fired oven.

A place on lower Greenville with ample parking is a hit despite not quite living up to the high rent its paying. Very cool outdoor space, but the interior is cavernous and unappealing. Burgers were excellent, but pizza not so much. Eager, friendly servers and quick food delivery. Prices reasonable and on point. Active bar scene. Oh, and awesome churros.

I m a whole pizza snob so I expected a lot. The honey drizzle was a refreshing surprise. Try it and let me know. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere (to watch the Women s March Madness game) but I ll go back to try more food. I m also trying to remember the location in Portland but it s escaping my brain but be mindful that VooDoo Donuts is right down the street so if you need a taste of Oregon, this strip in Lower Greenville will take care of you! I really enjoyed my visit. The food was fresh and on time. I sat outside with friends and the weather was very nice. Theres plenty of shade and TV entertainment. I will definitely return! If youre wanting a brick oven baked pizza, Latin food, or just a great beefy or veggie burger thats larger than your hand then definitely go to River Pig Saloon. Vegetarian options: Theres a veggie burger on the menu as well that is delicious!

Met some friends here for dinner tonight. The menu is a bit limited but its a bar/restaurant which was a pretty cool setup. Located on Lower Greenville so the bar was lit but also had several seating areas for eating. Nice patio with heaters. Its a bit dark inside too but nothing serious. Service was great and the bison burger looked amazing. I got the korean riblets and hubs got the huntsman pizza. Both tasty.

My daughter and I had the birria burritos for dinner today. We got them hot and fresh. They were packed with flavor, meat, and cheese, super tender. I got mine extra crispy and she had hers made as usual, crisp on the outside. I was full just eating half of a half. My daughter had half of her burrito. Sounds like lunch for tomorrow . We went here because of the nice patio, but were highly disappointed. The host told us it was open seating. We came and sat down for 10 minutes without any service. Then, when the server FINALLY came to us, she gave us some water and menus. We sat for another 10 minutes. We sat by the door that the staff would continually enter and exit, so they knew we need service. They would make eye contact and keep going. We just ended up leaving. AVOID!

The food is a bit bland and overpriced. Additionally, we ordered the menu item titled Guacamole and Pico and were told they didnt have any pico....how do you have the guac but no pico? You dont have tomatoes, onions, cilantro, jalapenos? Like come one man. Then their queso was not queso in the slightest. It was thick and whipped, grainy, and seasoned with some chip seasoning - no vegetables/herbs in it at all. The girl was nice but not very educated about their menu. We tried ordering a couple things on the menu that they no longer had. And the environment is alright, not a very diverse set of people but idk if thats the restaurants fault. Just an overall bland place, wouldve rather dropped $14 on a margarita elsewhere.

Went to watch a college football game on Saturday at 11 am unfortunately they only serve their brunch menu until 2. The menu consists of almost exclusively eggs. If you don t want eggs you are very limited. You can order via grubhub the entire menu but not at the restaurant. Service was adequate but not great. Burger (sans egg) was greasy and potato s were fairly good. We left at halftime to go catch the game from somewhere with better food and service.

I really wanted to love the food here since it s so close in the neighborhood to me. But, unfortunately the food was not great. Service: 10/10 The service was good and staff was kind! So at least they have that going for them. Drinks: 1/10 I ordered the Mezzacali cocktail and it was one of the worse drinks I ve ever had. Tasted like old syrup with a hint of mezcal. Like it was overly disgustingly sweet. I wasn t going to finish it after the first sip, but mama didn t raise a quitter. So I ended up chugging it at the end & regretted everything. Food: 2/10 My friend and I split the jalapeño poppers, hells canyon drumsticks, birria tacos, and the spicy chicken sandwich. The drumsticks were the best thing we had. The waitress who helped us was pretty miserable, didnt smile once, gave off an air of not caring, and did the minimum necessary to provide service. She was the same with all the customers there, as we thought maybe we had offended her somehow, but it was the same treatment for everyone. I ordered the steak and eggs which came with a chorizo Hollandaise. Since I dont like their regular Hollandaise, I ordered it on the side, along with med rare steak. The steak was quite rare, the sauce was not on the side, the eggs were quite undercooked with runny whites, the only good thing in the meal were the potatoes (Which were a little on the too salty side) My girlfriend on the other hand, ordered the breakfast burrito, which was not too bad, and why I am giving 3 stars.

Possibly some of the worst service I ve had in a long time this consistently. Each time I come here with family it takes over 25 minutes for a server to even approach us to take drink orders, not to mention the struggle to get refills and even ordering food. The drinks and food themselves are quite decent, I haven t had an issue with any over or under cooking. But again the service remains very lack luster in my opinion. Most servers seem to just walk around aimlessly ignoring any hand signals or eye contact passes to them. If the food wasn t good I d never come back.

Okay this was recommended to me by friend and I have to say 1st impression was not a very good one. Its a huge place, and we were the 1st people there on Saturday for brunch. Again, we were the only 2 people there. I had the bacon breakfast sandwich and my friend had the. Papi dish, you can see by the pictures what we had. The service was lackluster. I mean again we were the only people in there. We had to ask for salt and pepper. We had to ask for ketchup. We had to ask for extra napkins, we had to ask for silverware. My husband and I went here. It was amazing!! Loved everything about this place. We didnt try the food. We just had drinks but they were amazing! Staff was very friendly, fast and attentive. Clean, beautiful, awesome chill spot especially on a nice day!

River Pig Saloon took over the former American Flatbread Co./Firestone location on Lowest Greenville and I hope they stick around for a long time! The food tastes delicious and the cooks clearly put a lot of effort into what they make (I enjoy watching them make hand tossed pizza in the large brick oven). I can recommend any of the burgers or flatbread pizzas, as well as the Oregon s Finest Bowl. And, despite the large space, it feels cozy and inviting. Bonus: they offer onsite parking!

Fun place! Service was great. Birria tacos were to die for. I asked our server to make one of your cocktails virgin and he did so, so happily! It s always nice when you don t get unnecessary judgment or attitude from a server or bartender about that kind of stuff. Can t wait to come back when it s a little warmer :)

I can see that theyre still putting this place together, as for any business in the beginning there will be kinks. Strangely nostalgic being that Im also from Portland. The pizza is fantastic, so are their jalapeno poppers. Actually very good food. Service was pretty awesome as well, wasnt there during a busy time but they really took care to make sure we were handled properly. Will be back.

I tried this place for brunch today. Im writing this review not to criticize the place but rather to provide productive feedback (assuming the management reads reviews). I think the place has potential but, at the moment, its a bit of a trainwreck and is destined to fail if they dont get it together. I started off by ordering coffee at brunch which came out in a glass Irish coffee cup rather than a mug which was a little odd. I then asked the waitress for Splenda and got a blank stare. So I then asked if they had any other artificial sweeteners. After a trip to the kitchen, the waitress came back with some turbinado sugar packets and stated thats all they have. I also asked for cream...which they also do not have. They only had milk. After adding the milk and sugar to my coffee, it became apparent I still had no silverware so there was no way to mix it up. My chicken and waffles came out. Presentation was very nice (see pic)...but thats where the good stops. The chicken was dark meat which caught me off guard as Im used to boneless fried chicken being made with white meat. The waffle and chicken were stacked which was fine--except the pad of butter was on the top layer which was chicken. The butter should have been on the waffle. There was no gravy or other dipping sauce for the chicken. The only option is the spicy syrup. The waffle itself was good. Overall, the service was sub par as was the food taste. The coffee situation with no cream and no sweeteners available at a place serving brunch is a complete strike out. I saw on the website that this place has other locations in Oregon. Im not sure what flies in Oregon, but welcome to Texas where if youre going to have brunch and serve Chicken and Waffles, the bar is pretty high.

The pizza was the only saving grace for us... It was good. I gave a 4 star but it really deserved a 2. We want this place to do well and stay in business as we like to walk to go out to eat and be able to take the kid and dog !!! The pickles were good as well. They do not have Captain Morgan; flatbread did. Our server was nice but did not know the menu, did not know what balsamic vinegar was and was scarcely available. She delivered a yellow salad dressing when I ask for balsamic vinegar. A bright spot, was the manager out touching tables, so I was able to ask if they had any type of balsamic in the house; which he delivered. We let our server know the various condiments that we would like when we placed our order so as not to one-trip her. We had to reminder her multiple times after the food arrived and sat and got cold. We ordered the Red beard cocktail and could not tell if there was any alcohol or not??? We would have had more cocktails if the server had ever come around and ask. Instead we walked down the street to finish off the evening.

Below average experience. - beer good - spicy chicken sandwich, meh, the chicken to bun ratio awful the chicken breast was half the size of the bun - bison burger, liberty burger has a better one - fried pickles, first batch came under cooked and doughy, second batch was better - Fries were good Would not recommend or come back.
