Idk how this place wasnt on my radar! I met a client at northpark and hadnt made plans for lunch. Quick check of local restaurants showed that Joey had excellent reviews and the photos looked gorgeous! Came for lunch and the food and service was top notch and did not disappoint! The entry drink of bubbly was a very nice and unique touch. Tierra, our server took excellent care of us and everyone left full and happy.

Our waiter Jacob was great. The food at the restaurant on the other hand was alittle poorly executed. The hibachi wings were huge let down Too salty, dry, and small. The bone in ribeye was also more disappointing than I would have hoped. I rarely not finish food and I easily left a good 2/3 of the steak. The restaurant vibe was also too clubby for my taste. Especially on a Monday night.

The place is decorated nicely, however it s NOT fine dining. I called to make a reservation.I was constantly interrupted to be place on hold- waited for over 14 minutes to book a reservation. After I hung up, I got the automated text for a different time. I called back to clarify that mistake and instead of taking some sort of accountability, the woman said oh I see what happened there, we only have this time available (how sly to put me at at 30 min later time knowing the time I choose was not available instead of being transparent) so I said okay since nothing else was available. My husband and I went there 15 minutes early since the place have 5 star reviews to find 3 rude girls hosting upfront (no respectful manners) who then tells me she can t find my name for the reservation. I showed her my text confirmation so she said she will get us a seat. Again, no apology or even a proper welcome to begin with. We proceed to follow to server to OUTSIDE- hard awful seats with with barely any people there. We asked the server if we can get a seat inside, with an unwilling attitude she tells me When you booked you never choose inside seating as if this whole thing was MY fault and she s either stressed, lazy or unwilling. Clearly the host and server didn t communicate. Furthermore I wasn t given an option to choose a seat to begin with ( never mentioned) After we went back to the front, the hosts told us there would be a wait so we just left this place because it s a joke at this point. Nothing about the welcome, communication skills and body language spoke upscale respectable restaurant to us. There was no way we d be seating there, punctual and dressed for fine dining with that attitude and then spend a few $$$ on dinner when we ve had way better than that. No amount of gift card could have me to return. As a buisness owner myself, I d say that s unacceptable. It s hard to find another restaurant same day and late evening much less have to wait when a customer who was willing to spend went as far as to plan, prepare and organize ahead of time. You may have a good chef but your front line staff treat your restaurant like it s Applebees.

I was even gaslit into believing there was no bacon but there was. Last night was kind of it for me bc I once again said no bacon reiterated it several times to the point of saying I have an allergy but nope there it was. Any I hope communication and accommodations get better bc I don t think it s big of an ask to not put something in your food. Especially when it s not cheap. Noel was so fabulous l!! She was attentive and made great dining suggestions for us. We were celebrating our birthdays and it was a birthday dinner to remember. The goo. Was excellent. The ambiance was amazing. And Noel was amazing. Will be back soon and hopefully Noel will be our server again.
