Food was good, liked the atmosphere but the services was absolutely terrible and disrespectful. My friend and I stopped by for lunch and decided to sit at two open seats at the bar. The bartender at the time was Shena. She took awhile to get to us which I understood, considering how busy it was. But when she finally got to us we were treated with attitude. The smile and tone of voice she shared with other customers melted away soon as she greeted us. I asked her about the beer prices and slightly joked with her about the information of the beer on the menu. She said I need to see some ID because that was a stupid question my friend and I laughed it off in the moment. Next after we ordered, she made us pay immediately! This was our first time here so we thought maybe that was how things worked here until we noticed other customers at the bar were cashing out after their meal. This was such a humiliating experience, we won t be return and we highly recommend that if you do decide to eat here order to go!

Stopped by here one day and was surprised on how delicious their fried chicken was! This is very well hidden on the edge of downtown and I wish it had a bit more exposure. Very large portions and I loved their cheese and bacon tots. Be careful on the number of tenders you order as they are large, but sooo good!

Ok Hold &Hens!!!! I see you!! This place was a last minute choice after we saw that another place had horrible reviews. But it must have been the Universe showing up because this place was a BLESSING! The sandwiches were flavorful, cooked well and had amazing portions. The loaded tots were so good and the dessert... YUM ! There was outside and inside seating, and its super spacious and well lit. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. You can play games as well. It was easy to walk to, and Im making it a repeat place every time I come to Dallas. When you here people talk about this place, believe the hype. The staff did a wonderful job introducing us to the menu, we went with the suggestions and they did not disappoint. Im not a huge beer drinker, but they seemed to have a great selection. I could be a spokesperson at this point because Im all in.

Its located in the Omni parking area, and parking is a pain. I parked on the street about a quarter mile away and walked. The local beer is good, the fried chicken is great, the mac and cheese was fine. Food took a little longer than expected to arrive, but nothing egregious. Prices are better than expected for the area but $10-$20 per person. The decor is New American Gastropub Chic, with large bench tables that seat 8, but the interior is smaller than expected. Music is loud. Pretty good patio seating. I came for lunch but I suspect this would be a real hit for happy hour. Vegetarian options: No vegetarian chicken options, and doubtful they have separate oil for fries. Dietary restrictions: No gluten free or substantial vegetarian options Parking: Valet parking or paid parking garage with hotel, meter street parking if you dont mind the walk Kid-friendliness: Kids will love the chicken tenders and Mac and cheese, but the loud music is probably a miss. There is a small patio for running around if the weather permits. I didnt see any high chairs or booster seats, and the bench seating makes those a little difficult to employ. Wheelchair accessibility: The parking is a bit far, but there are ramps to get in the door and low tables. Ordering at the bar might be tricky if unaccompanied. Bench seating at most tables might make it difficult to roll up, but I think the chicken might be worth the gamble.

Loved the chicken theme!! The place was clean, prices were good, staff was attentive but unintrusive, decor was nice, had board games inside and comfortable garden chairs outside next to bean bag toss, restrooms were great, atmosphere was laid back, and no one rushed us to leave. We were a party of 5, ages 42-82, and felt very comfortable. I would recommend to other foodies to check it out!! Very nice place! Parking: We did valet parking because of construction and limited metered street parking.

This restaurant deserves 10 Stars. Im a chicken fanatic and my wife decided to bring me here for my birthday. And I must say this one was over the top. As for the restaurant she could not have picked a better place to go. The food was amazing the atmosphere was mind-blowing the service was A1 and the employees were very attentive. The location was superb being that we were booked at the Omni Hotel for the night which is right in front of it on the same property. The best part of this is that you can order HOPS and HENS for room service at the Omni Hotel. As I said it was a wonderful birthday and I really enjoyed my meal at HOPS and HENS as well as staying at the Omni HOTEL . A WONDERFUL PLACE TO BRING YOUR FRIENDS COME BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY AT HOPS AND HENS!!!!! Vegetarian options: Im not a vegetarian but my cousin and her husband are vegetarian. So I asked Danny how his meal was and he said it was wonderful and he would be back he really enjoyed the salad.

HOPS & HENS OH MY GOD. THIS IS ONE MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS TO EAT. SOMETIMES I DINE IN AND OTHER I TAKE OUT EITHER WAY THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. ALWAYS COOKED TO ORDER SO ITS ALWAYS FRESH. They have a bacon wrap which is this dish with a piece of chicken tender wrapped in bacon lettuce and tomatoes with a secret sauce and the right amount of spices that will make you want to slap yourself. The mac and cheese with the fried onions on top is to die for. I can go on and on and on about this place and its not just me but I would advise you try this place. I give it 10 Stars and the food is 10 out of 10. I havent eaten anything that I wasnt satisfied with. I went absolutely CRAZY OVER HOPS AND HENS. IT IS MY NUMBER ONE GO TO WHEN I REALLY WANT SOMETHING GOOD TO EAT.

Day 2 of my Volleyball weekend and I wanted something GOOD after our 12 hr day at the Convention Center. Being that there are so many good eateries in the area, I did my usual search on Yelp and ended up at Hops & Hens. Based on the reviews, Hops & Hens would provide a good meal at a good cost. Heading out of the convention center we walked to Hops & Hens. The location is super cute and sits at the edge of the Omni Plaza Hotel center. The location has indoor and outdoor seating and has an order then sit setup. Walking in, there is ample space and picnic style tables. There are a few high tops towards the back, and the outside sitting area even has a space where you can engage in a game of cornhole. The vibe itself is a traditional American theme with a bar, a few televisions, and the self-serve condiment station. Simple. Cute. To the Point. Looking at the menu I was excited to see a variety of chicken options. The art of creativity with chicken still exists at Hops & Hens and I was ready to partake in what was being offered. LoL! I decided on a Side Caesar with The Texan. The Texan - $12.00 BBQ sauce, bacon, crispy onions The Chicken Tender base of The Texan provides the perfect canvas for the BBQ sauce, bacon, and crispy onions. Though simple by design, this sandwich is the furthest from simple. BBQ sauce - adds a tang that is sweet but not too sweet. Mild but not boring. And flavorful without being overpowering. Bacon - was crispy and sits well between the tenders and the BBQ Sauce. As the Tenders are crispy perfection, the crispness of the bacon adds a texture variation as the natural pork texture has a rougher feel compared to that of chicken. The natural pork-ness of the bacon further enhances the flavor of the chicken as it blends uniformly with the juice of the chicken. Ummmmmm! Crispy Onions - the secret warrior. The Crispy Onions give you a nice layer of salt, crunch, and crumble. They bring all the flavors together and marry the sandwich to be the mouthwatering, taste bud pleasing, hit of goodness that is needed. The Texan is truly a 10 out of 10 and I am ready for another one. LoL!!!! Get you one!!!!

Chicken tenders are incredible but nothing else is we ate here three times while staying at the Omni and tried almost every menu item and were disappointed in the sides and sauces. By the third day, we were ordering just chicken tenders and adding sides from other places to them. The ordering process lacks efficiency to say the least expect to wait longer than usual at a counter order establishment especially at peak times. Lots of conversation and multitasking required by the order taker.

Upon entering, we went to the bar to the right. We were not greeted. It took a few minutes to be acknowledged. We ask if there were any seats. The response was, I don t know, it s first come first served. That s understandable, but the delivery needs polishing. We decided on to go and was given #129. We sat and waited. We watched people who came after us who were dining in and some who had to go orders get their orders before us. Finally, a server ask which bar took our order. We told him. He went to Tulene (name on my receipt). She went through receipts and told him our order. Our order was not put in! As we waited, we were able to see in the food prep area. An employee was in that area sneezing into a napkin - he stepped out then came back wiping his nose. We did not observe him touching any food BUT he was in the food prep area sneezing and talking to the workers in this area. We were told that ALL the restaurants at Omni Hotel were great, however, Hops & Hens did not live up to our expectations. Unsatisfied customer

We ordered chicken strips and they were absolutely awesome! Best ever! To get tea refills, I had to get back into the order line again (time consuming). The benches were hardwood and were really hard (were old people).. but all in all it was a good experience.

Atmosphere: The restaurant s ambiance tends to be a bit lively, which may not be ideal for those seeking a quiet dining experience. The interior design follows the typical fast-casual style, reflecting its nature as a casual dining establishment. While some diners may have personal preferences against fast-casual settings, it s important to note that this is characteristic of the restaurant s concept. Food Quality and Service: In terms of food quality, this establishment stands out among hotel dining options, offering top-tier dishes that cater to a diverse range of tastes. The service provided is efficient and attentive, ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience. Location Convenience: While this restaurant may not be a destination in itself, it serves as a convenient option for those staying at the Omni Hotel or attending events at the convention center. Its proximity to these locations makes it a suitable choice for visitors looking for a decent meal without straying too far from their accommodations. Beverage Selection: The beverage menu primarily features beer options, which may appeal to beer enthusiasts or those looking for a casual drink to accompany their meal. Overall, while this restaurant may not be a standout choice for all diners, its convenient location, quality food offerings, and efficient service make it a solid option for those in the vicinity of the Omni Hotel or convention center.

Came here in the middle of this crazy volleyball tourny. There was a ton of people and massive line to get it. My team took up a ton of space and i am super thankful for that. I had a two piece and a cobb salad. Actually the tenders are really good> a very nice pickle brine and a very decent size. The cobb salad was also actually very good as well. I have to admit the food was pretty good. What was a bit lackluster, but i am aware of how of how busy they were, was the service. There is no table service, or at least because of how busy it was there isnt. so any additional beers or even refills on pop or ice tea. you have to go up to the bar and ask for it. i went up twice for ice tea. I was ignored both times (2-3 people behind the bar) so i gave up. other than that, our group had a great time. A lot of food and beers were consumed.

I came here because the reviews were good, but I m sad to say the food was not. I ordered one of their chicken sandwiches (The Henwich) with tater tots. The sauce that came on the sandwich was decent. The chicken itself, was not seasoned at all. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of flavor, not even the sauce helped. Tater tots tasted like any other place I ve had them from. Cool service, though. The lady that took my order was kind, as well as the lady who brought out my food. The location and ambiance of Hops & Hens is nice. It s literally across the walkway from the Omni hotel. Will I be back? Probably not, but if you don t mind bland chicken, give it a try!

While our chicken tenders were hand battered and fried up, we played that beanbag toss game (dont even tell me it had one common name) out on the patio. Excellent fried chicken. Everything is a La carte so don t forget to order some loaded tots or corn riblets. Hot sandwich is a great choice, not super hot but great flavor, don t be scared away by the kale slaw (you won t notice a difference). Bread is a potato roll I think? Slightly sweet with a nice crust and texture. Loaded Tots come in a light beer cheese with bacon bits and other goodies. Will need a fork, but worth ordering. The street corn riblets are excellent, but you do have to eat it off the quarter of cob it comes off of. If you don t mind the method it is very tasty, though I personally would prefer off the cob kernels. Got the Cobb salad to go. I do wish the dressing and chicken had come on the side for better transport and squares of cheese is a little funky. Admittedly getting a salad at a fried chicken places seems silly, but if you have something on a limited menu, details are important. That being said, the recipient claimed it was fantastic. I was stuffed with sandwich and tots. Would definitely come back.

Food was pretty good and decently priced. The Mac n cheese was too watery. Kinda like Mac n cheese soup. Chicken tenders were good. They also had corn hole and other games to play and hangout after eating

We were there during a very busy lunch rush and while it took a while to order and get our food, it was excellent. My only complaint would be not having someone at the door letting people know what was going on.

Hop & Hens are the Best Chicken Tenders Ive ever had. Thick Cut of White Chicken Meat. The Breading is Perfect. Not thick and not just breading. Just the perfect bite of tender in one! Dont let me forget their dipping sauces....there isnt a bad one! The hostess and staff are Amazing and very knowledgable, of all the food options and the beers on tap:) What a great little place to stop and have a small bite to eat or a quick sip, of a cold beer of tap! My kind of friendly local spot. Too bad , Im just a traveler. Til my next visit in Dallas.

Food was good but the add to this do you have not seen a person that has a big enough mouse to be able to place the chicken ranch sandwich in their mouth. My husband had to chop the tenders up to be able to place it in the sandwich Io on the other hand, just wrapped one of the chicken strips Wes the lettuce, and called it a day my personal opinion, but for what I spent which was over $100 not worth it I won t be coming back

Walked in here to grab a quick bite to eat and stood at the counter to be served and no one addressed us at all. Not a good first impression, plus no one was dining in so that should have spoke volumes upon entering anyway.

The place had one customer inside upon walking in, that shouldve been the first red flag. Although friendly, the server was very confused and struggled to get our orders correct. We had to repeat our order about 4 different times and the order still wasnt correct. The tater tots were cold, the chicken tenders were swimming in grease, and the macaroni was more pasta than cheese. To top it off, there was a hair in one of the tenders. Gave the place a shot, but definitely would not come back or recommend.

They were extremely busy during the time that I arrived. They did mess up my order of 2 TX hot tenders with mac n cheese. The menu is á la carte with sensible prices. I was able to find seating. The costumer service seemed a little rushed. The IPA Honey Mustard had a great flavor profile. Parking: In you stay in the Omni or at the convention center it is easier to get to the restaurant.

Great place for a drink and good food! We were able to get seating on a very busy evening after a robotics tournament at the nearby convention center. It was a bit of a wait for the food.....had to stand in line to order, then wait more for the food to arrive....but understandable because the place was absolutely packed. The beer selection was amazing and I tried a few different ones which were ALL great. The chicken sandwich I got was quite awesome, a big portion and VERY good. One of the better non-chain restaurant chicken sandwich Ive had. The location cannot be beat and the view of the downtown skyline is wonderful. Service from everyone there was impeccable despite being packed. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Atmosphere was positive and energetic. Im not going to give them less than 5 stars just because the place was packed and we had to wait to eat. It was worth the wait.

If you re looking for a place to eat near Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, here s one. Hops & Hens. Might be the best chicken tenders I ve ever had. The H&H sauce is sort of like Cane s sauce. Tenders have very plump white meat and are big. Order of 4 filled me up. Once your order is taken, you are served fairly quickly without too much wait. Keep your number on your table and they will find you but I gave the wait staff a heads-up where I was sitting so they could find me quicker. Many of the wait staff speak Spanish. Outside seating on a beautiful day is so nice with everyone one walking around town and the Dallas downtown in view. If you come on a day with events at the convention center, don t be surprised if the line is long and going out the door; but that will be typical of every restaurant at that time. Also, be aware that there may be 2 or 3 points of sale, so take a peak inside at the far end of the bar, and even walk all the way outside as sometimes they are taking orders from a register out there too.

This restaurant has been my go-to place to eat for the last five months. It has the cutest atmosphere. There is a large outside patio with a fireplace at night with lots of seating. Inside there is a long top bar with seating and tables all around. It even has an open kitchen view to see the fantastic cooks at work. However, my favorite part that makes this restaurant stand out is its food and staff. Everyone I have encountered at Hops & Hens has been highly accommodating and inviting. AND THEIR CHICKEN IS TO DIE FOR! It has the perfect amount of crunch, juiciness, and flavor!
