THIS is my new Birthday Brunch spot! My sister took me here as a birthday present and I am so glad she did! I ve been wanting to come here for awhile now, so today was the perfect day! I ENJOYED myself from the minute I walked through the door, to the elevator ride to the AMAZING staff! The food was DELICIOUS and the seafood was fresh and flavorful! I have absolutely no complaints! Our waiter Jenna was A+ and we did not feel rushed (we closed the place lol). You have got to try it at least once for yourself! I absolutely loved it!

This was a phenomenal restaurant. I was able to book a reservation the same evening, I was immediately greeted by the elevator staff and every single other staff member that I passed by after that. My waiter Cole had multiple tables and was still super friendly and did not rush. The food was fantastic and the view has always been good. I will 1000% be back.

Amazing view and overall aesthetics! Great music. Great drinks. The food was okay. Mussels were a bit fishy and seemed to not be steamed all the way. The shrimp was rubbery and tasted unclean...removed them from the plate entirely. We brushed it off as we were not a picky couple. However, what was saddening was we were planning on leaving a big cash tip to our server. We were ending a great night of our anniversary with a sweet personal conversation only to be interrupted by management asking the reason we did not tip on the ticket. It ruined our mood entirely. What was going to be $100 cash tip turned in to a minimum $20 20% write in for me due to the lack of consideration. I wrote it in and we left immediately. Terrible and sad because the place looks phenomenal. Ill be taking my partner elsewhere next time for our anniversary. Very uncalled for.

Do not recommend!!! Went there to celebrate our anniversary. Food was decent but service was terrible. The server did not greet us warmly, did not introduce the menu to us, when we ask if they have any special desserts for anniversary, he seemed annoyed and told us we have to order a dessert first and then said they only give out cookies and some cold donuts for anniversary. The experience did not worth the price at all. Worst of all, we added regular 15% tips when we paid. When we got home, we got a txt message from our debit card company saying we were charged a different amount that was $10 more than what we have put on the receipt as tips. This has never happened my whole life that a restaurant would over charge a customer for tips without permission. You can definitely get a much better service at any other high end restaurants in Dallas. Everyone who works there seems tired and rude. Avoid this place at all cost.

Did a weekend getaway trip to Dallas for my husband birthday. I chose this restaurant and while the food was tasty its also other things for me. First let me start off by saying our reservations was for 7pm we got there about 7:20pm there is a 15 min grace period. I called at 6:50pm to say I was running late was like oh its no problem etc I arrive they gave the table away and we had to sit in the lounge area. It was a party of 4 and we still was ok with sitting in the lounge area. I will say the view is immaculate. I expressed it was my husband birthday and had to ask them to bring dessert and pay for it, still not a issue but for the price point I do think that should be complimentary but still ok no problem. The waiter was great until the very end. I should share the video but I didnt get my sister and her hubs approval so I wont share it. There was no excitement, no one even said happy birthday, no singing no joy maybe it was close to the end of his shift still no excuse but you definitely dont just put the cake down dry, stick the Sparkler inside the cake at the table and walk away!! Maybe because we our minorities they didnt think to do much. Also the guy downstairs that was serving the drink had an attitude maybe everyone was mad because The Dallas Cowboys lost. I am not sure but I wont be back Parking: Due to the time we ended up doing valet but honestly we probably could of did what he did but he didnt do much. If you have the time look for parking

Danny, our server, was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. He went above and beyond to make our night wonderful. We enjoyed some cocktails, the filet mignon, and rib cap. Danny did an excellent job of explaining the different cuts of meat and was so amazing to offer us a wine that paired wonderfully with our meal. We will absolutely be returning!

I went on 8-28-24 for dessert to celebrate my nephew going off to college . We had a beautiful table with a view and took a seat. When I told the staff we only needed a dessert menu the host said we have to move to the bar area to eat out dessert. Mine you I made reservations for a table of 4. They sat all four of us on a couch in front of a coffee table. The host said since we are not ordering dinner we have to eat dessert over here at the bar area I also have my 10 year old son with me. So once our server came he was puzzled when I told him why they moved us. But he was very kind and attentive. I asked the host if we could get a table since I decided to order sushi and a few appetizers and she said she will have to ask the manager. I told the manager I don t feel comfortable eating sushi at a coffee table sitting on a couch. And the manager told me he couldn t move us cause we had already placed an order. I wanted to get up and leave but I didn t want to ruin my family s experience to be at the tower. I hate that we were treated like this and no one tried to accommodate us. The hostess attitude was rude and the managers attitude was equal to hers. This is an experience I could ve never had.

Beautiful restaurant. Green marble tabletops were so pretty. Tables along the window were brown & basic. Sunset was amazing. Staff nice & mostly attentive. We are vegan & thought they had more options based on viewing menu online, but heavy on vegetarian side. We made due. All photos of the food I posted look amazing & you d think it tasted awesome. Salad, sushi, & onion rings were the best things we ate. Onion rolls (excellent though not vegan) came with a side of black salt butter & pimento cheese that were tasty. Many of the items we were considering were spicy (even pimento cheese was spicy). I specifically asked for nothing to be prepared spicy & carrots were like fire in my mouth. They remade carrots & offered no apology or compensation. Carrots were gross. Had to add salt to most items to add flavor. All food that was to be served hot was barely warm. Overall the food was not good & for that reason we will not go back. They need to add more vegan dishes to the menu & make the food taste waaaaay better. With tip (no alcohol only food /water) we spent approx $135. What we ordered: A V O C A D O C R U N C H ( V ) 17 Cucumber, Mango, Shiso, Yuzu Mayo, Crispy Puffed Rice A R U G U L A & K A L E S A L A D ( V ) 18 Crispy Artichokes, Cured Tomatoes, Pecorino Cheese, Marcona Almonds, Sherry Vinaigrette R O A S T E D C A U L I F L O W E R ( V ) 26 Pine Nuts, Pomegranate Seeds, Scallions, Golden Raisins, Sumac Vinaigrette, Tahini Cream O N I O N R I N G S TA C K ( V ) 14 Pretzel Crusted, Keen s Hot Mustard R O A S T E D M U S H R O O M S ( V G ) 12 Seasonal Mushrooms, Scallions R O A S T E D C A R R O T S ( V G ) 14 Milk & Patience Coconut Yogurt, Harissa, Mint FLIGHT OF SIDES Pick any 3 sides 33 It was our wedding anniversary & the special thing they did for us was give us a post card that the staff signed. No dessert. Nothing. I looked through other reviews & saw lots of Happy Anniversary & B-day deserts. Even said they could not guarantee a window seat on a Monday (not a busy night). Put us initially at a window table with no window shade & sun was in my husband s eyes & it was hot. At least 6 window tables open that had window shades down just enough. We ended up taking the advice of the host & took a table away from the window with the promise it had a wonderful sunset view. It was ok, but window view was what we really wanted. Only the person who took us to our table said happy anniversary. With the expansive pastry bar you would think when choosing to spend our 13th anniversary with them they would provide even the smallest of desserts like a few mini chocolate chip cookies or something as it would go a long way to make you feel special.

A one-time experience for sure! We checked in at the host table and were offered a welcome drink (tequila ranch water) as we went up the elevator into the restaurant. We were celebrating an anniversary and all the staff had signed a card and came by throughout the night to congratulate us. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through the menu, highlighting all of her favorites. Quite pricey for some very mid pasta, however the cowgirl ribeye was something of dreams, the best steak I have ever tasted! The cocktails were all delicious, as was the pimento cheese spread and fresh bread they bring to the table. If you are seated at any of the inner tables you don t really get a view and it s pretty packed-in in there to see from your seat. We a were brought out some cake balls and cookies to help celebrate and they lit a sparkler for us which was a nice touch. We also ordered the basque cheese cake and crème brûlée donut holes, which came with a massive fluff of cotton candy on top and were 10/10 delicious!

Booked ahead of time for a birthday. Party of 5. It was AMAZING. Ryan was super helpful setting the perfect spot up, we got to see the sunset while we dined. It was beautiful. The tables are set so well and easy to navigate. We missed out on the prime rib special, but! Redemption. We got wagyu steaks instead, and the chicken dish. We sampled several sides including the pretzel crunch onion rings and the mashed potatoes (tastes like grandma made them can t make this up) the waffle Mac and cheese was out of control! Whoever the sous chef is has my vote each thing has its own sauce! And each sauce is incredible and different from the others. The service was outstanding! Cynthia was the most attentive and knowledgeable help. I m so glad she works brunches also because we definitely will be asking for her again! She brought out the most delicious cake pops with cookies that were exactly what we were craving. We tried the home made ice cream as well. As each part was served and the next came out (perfectly timed might I add) the table was cleared right away so we could move on to the next hassle free with clean silverware! CG was there to see us out and take our picture in front of the lighted dallas skyline. The entire crew was amazing and this was definitely an unforgettable dining experience. When we finished we simply walked to the valet stand and we re on our way; it s complimentary valet here! (But you should always tip!) Thank you all for making this a great birthday! We were there on Monday, 08/12,, as we wanted to try the Prime Rib 3-course dinner special. Unfortunately, we were told they did not have the prime rib, even though I specifically explained to the host we were coming for this when I made the reservation the day before. We asked for any substitutions to the prime rib, but the Chef refused to accommodate , so we had to talk to a Manager, who said that all she could do was to give us a complimentary desert. The fact that it was my friend s birthday didn t change her mind either. So we ordered salmon and pasta, but the worst was that the food did not taste fresh. The salmon was not served hot, while the pasta gave me indigestion. Overall, really disappointing experience with an awesome view. The restaurant is not even spinning anymore, so don t waste your money on overpriced mediocre food. Just a get a drink at their bar and enjoy the view.

Came here for my boyfriend s birthday and it was a great experience. To start off, make sure to park Valet if you want them to validate it. My mistake was to not ask and we ended up parking at the Reunion tower parking which was $10. Going up the elevator to the restaurant had such an amazing view. Make sure to videotape it while going up. He ordered the Filet mignon which was very tender and juicy. And paired with the red onion marmalade was perfect. I ordered the green circle chicken which was pretty good. The sides we got were the mashed potatoes which was very creamy, if youre into that. The triple cooked fries wasnt all that great. It just tasted like over fried fries and was very few for $16. And the Mac & cheese waffle had the cooked cheese taste, which was interesting to eat. They also sent over a birthday plate with 2 cookies, 2 cake pops and a sparkler. Our waiter Jake was also very friendly. And the vibe when we walked in, to the view of Dallas was worth the experience. Definitely a place to visit for a fun, fancy night in the city!!

The food here is not very good. Its edible, but boring and bland. The rolls they brought out to start were dry. They had cheese and caramelized onions on top. They had potential but just arent very good. My chicken was pale and lacked flavor. Another guest in my party also got the chicken and hers was close to burnt vs my pale chicken. The roasted carrots are not actually roasted but just boiled. Roasted carrots have a deep caramelized flavor and texture vs these boring boiled carrots. The fries were dry. Salads were actually not bad. The corn side dish was just okay. The Mac and cheese waffles are a gimmick and dry. Just make a good normal Mac and cheese. One party member was vegan and ordered the Cauliflower entree. This had potential but was lacking. The Cauliflower was not roasted deep enough to be flavorful and the dish was dry, lacking a sauce or something to bring it all together. The desserts were actually decent, as was the espresso I had with it. The service was ok. Our waitress had a bit of an attitude but the other staff were really nice. When this was Wolfgang Pucks restaurant it was not just a tourist trap. The food was phenomenal and worth the visit and price. We always took out of town visitors there for both the scenery and the delicious meal. This new current restaurant is really not tasty and definitely not worth the price. I do not recommend and would never go back.

Forest Time Dining at this Restaurant: A Disappointing Experience My recent visit to this restaurant was unexpectedly very poor. The negative experience started right from the entrance. The greeting was not welcoming at all. We had booked for 5 people. Upon arrival, the server immediately pointed out that our booking was for 5, not 6. We explained that our baby is only 2 years old, doesnt sit by herself yet, and would be on her mothers lap. Despite this, the server insisted that our booking should have been for 6 people. The conversation felt rude and disrespectful. Eventually, she allowed us to sit at the lounge, but the service continued to be poor and unhelpful. We were there to celebrate a friends anniversary and spent a significant amount of money, $500, on food. Given the level of service we received, this experience was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons, and we regretted our decision. NOT RECOMMENDED for anyone planning to spend a lot, and we certainly wont be coming back again

The staff before you go up are very polite and the elevator ride has amazing views, we had a party of 5 and the table was about the size of a oval coffee table 5 plates barely fit on the table with the cups and napkins everything was very tightly squeezed in. Also one side of the table was a couch type sitting which was pretty small for 3 people to sit next to another. We asked for a bigger table and they said this was the only available setting for 5 people and their square tables were for either 2/4/6 people. We ended up leaving because we could not sit comfortably and enjoy the dinner all squeezed in next to each other. If Im gonna spend close to $1000 for 5 people they should try to be more accommodating. Very disappointing.

All in all, more than likely we will not return. The total cost of the meal wasn t worth it.

Want to enjoy a brunch that will be a memory forever? Come to the Crown Block located at the Dallas Reunion Tower. The price is 50 to 80 per person but definitely worth it! They offer fresh seafood, sushi, bacon, Mears and desserts. You will love eating as you view Dallas from your seat. The only issue i i had was the main entrees were abit small and only limited choices to choose from. Great for family, business meeting, brunch, lunch and dinner or special occasion. I loved it and will definitely come back again. Enjoy!

I was expecting top notch all the way for a $300 meal for two. Weve ate at plenty expensive restaurants that have been great across the board, however this was not one of them. The service blew this restaurant... From start to finish. 1. When we were seated, you could tell that the waiter wasnt too interested in waiting on us. He brought a card signed by the staff but clearly didnt have any idea who birthday was being celebrated. Our reservations stated wife birthday. That is a fine detail that shouldnt have been missed. Especially for a restaurant of this statue. 2. I had to ask the waiter for a refill of soda and his reply Oh, you want another coke... What difference did it make on how I ask for more drink, every restaurant knows what a refill is... furthermore, I shouldnt have had to ask in the first place. I found that to be distasteful. 3. He asked if I wanted desert, not once did he mention that I was getting a complimentary birthday desert. We would have saved the extra $13 had we known. I didnt feel special on my birthday at this restaurant. 4. He brought the tab back and said all we owed was 1 penny. Some beautiful people who were celebrating their birthday on the exact same day at that restaurant paid for our meal. That was extremely kind of them. It was supposed to be a secret, however, the waiter ruined it. Never the less, this was best part of our evening at this restaurant. Even though the waiter didnt deserve it, we still left a generous tip. The food was delicious seasoned well except the asparagus. The bread was so good, I wished they gave more. The EXPERIENCE was definitely not worth the money. I will NOT be back!! I do not support businesses that do not appreciate my presence

I took my wife here last night for our 32nd Anniversary, and it was wonderful! Only one of us was up for a full meal, and we ate in the lounge, which we were told was The Best View in the House They werent kidding! The view was spectacular, the food was amazing. Pricey? Yes, depending on what you order. But you get what you pay for. Everything was delicious, and the service was impeccable. Im a man of modest means, and this was something Id been saving up for a significant length of time. But the staff was great, and made it worth it for us. They even gave us a lovely card signed by the staff for our anniversary, and an extra bag of cookies to help us celebrate. :) Im a burger-and-fries kind of guy, and that was on the menu, huzzah! Best Id ever had, and my wife wasnt too hungry so we split it as we te in the comfortable lounge, looking out as the sun set on the city of Dallas. Thank you, Crown Block! So glad you made this gift to my wife a memorable one!

This is my first time visiting Dallas, I had experienced a lot of fine dining restaurants and I think by far this one has me pleased the most. I will say before I get into the actual review, I m very particular where I eat because I like to have quality service. Our waiter Cian, had a very warm welcome and personality. There were multiple occasions where we would joke and laugh throughout the dinner. He guided me through the menu, as it was my first time. He recommended a ton of EXCELLENT dishes. (I absolutely loved everything) He was knowledgeable to everything I asked and had timed out the dinner perfectly. As for the atmosphere, you re seeing the top of Dallas, where else would you rather be? The view, was absolutely stunning. Being able to look outside and see Dallas was wonderful. I was thankful to have a server who enjoys where he is and happy to have me as a guest. I can say this restaurant has the best food and experience. I will definitely be returning and asking for Cian again. He went out of his way to treat us to an amazing dinner and made my night very memorable. He didn t make me feel rushed throughout the dinner and suggested so much. Service was 10/10. If you re thinking about going to this restaurant, but hesitant, DO IT. And ask for Cian he will take care of you. Thank you Crown Block.

My husband and I dined for our first wedding anniversary inside the rotating ball. It was delightfully charming and unique as the restaurant rotated and we could enjoy different views. Last week I made reservations for a unique dining experience with an out of state family member. When we entered we were not swept away into a lovely dining experience. Instead we were immediately and offensively facing a massive barricade of a bar. We learned that the ball no longer rotates due to the placement of the bar. What a lack luster disappointment. I had a bad view the whole meal. The charm, uniqueness, and beauty have been stripped away. The new owners have chosen to focus on making big money by highlighting the bar.

The steaks were cooked to perfection and the A5 Waygu croquettes were delicious. We also tried the mac and cheese waffles, but they werent really to our liking. The price was very steep compared to what Im used to, but it was well worth it for the experience.

Booked a reservation for our Anniversary. Drive by the tower all the time and thought it would be cool to go to the top. Turns out Crown Block restaurant is at the top. First off, use valet. You pull up right at the base of the tower. You are greeted outside the elevator by the hostess. They have a complimentary Ranch Water while you wait for the elevator and for the ride up. Going up you get a view of the city as you climb over 500 feet to the top. When you exit you walk right into an impressive wine display. Head to the next hostess stand. To your left they are making desserts with custom messages on plates. To the right is a very impressive sushi bar with all the fresh fish offerings on ice in viewing cases. Behind the hostess stand is an awesome bar looking out toward downtown Dallas. There is a nice lounge area just to drink. Tables are situated around the sphere. It doesn t rotate anymore! We had a great table along the window edge looking into downtown. I enjoyed walking to other parts of the restaurant for the views. Diego was our server and was very professional and attentive. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be one of the most exciting dining experiences I d had in a while. We started off with a beautiful Tuna roll hand made after we ordered. The presentation was top notch and the flavors were so fresh. We then had their complimentary bread offering. Served with a nice pimento cheese and butter. My wife enjoyed a few glasses of cab. I had two very impressive blue cheese washed martinis. The process involves letting the vodka sit in blue cheese for 24-48 hours before making the drink. The essence of blue cheese in the vodka itself was so different and I look forward to trying the technique at home. I also tried one of their old fashioned drinks. This one was infused with Waygu A5 beef tallow. It was subtle. The drink was topped at the table with a twist of a pepper grinder. Another stellar drink choice. My wife enjoyed a boneless filet while I had the bone in topped with blue cheese. The steaks were served with a fingerling potato and a very tasty marmalade. The steaks were not remarkable in any way but well executed. The sides were all great. We ordered Mac & cheese waffle. That was delayed so they brought us their French fries. They were served with an amazing truffle mayo and ketchup. We also had the onion ring tower which was very good. Once the waffle Mac arrived we were getting so full we had to take most of it home. It was a unique presentation and tasted good. A nice change to typical fine dining Mac. For dessert we had a blueberry & huckleberry pie with a scoop of vanilla. Perfect to share. Very flavorful. I paired it with a single espresso. Pictures probably don t do justice to how great the experience was. Looking forward to going back and sharing it with others! Pricing is reasonable for fine dining. The alcohol will drive your bill up quick. Our 5 drinks were probably over $100 alone. Out the door with tip for under $500. You can do it for $250 if you take it easy. Heck, go up and just get a drink at the bar! You will be winning any way you do it! Enjoy! Dietary restrictions: We took food home and have peanut allergies in the house. Confirmed no peanut oil in the restaurant. Parking: Valet is the way to go. It is right up front. It is free. Tip well. Kid-friendliness: There were kids there. I don t know why. I guess if you have endless supplies of money and don t care if your kids make noise, then bring them. I prefer no kids. My teenagers can eat like this when they get a job.

Celebrating our anniversary we decided to come here for the special day. Reservations are recommended since this place is highly rated, we were not expecting the level of service we had by our waiter, plus the ambience was just perfect. We started with the Smoky Akaushi Wagyu Tartare and it was like eating butter, super delicious. My partner order the Wild Honey and I had the A-5 Old Fashioned per our mixed drinks and those did not disappoint either. Out main course consisted of steaks. I order the Kansas City Striploin and she had the Akaushi Wagyu Stirploin both of them cooked to perfection!! Our sides were Roasted Carrots , Roasted Mushrooms and Asparagus and to finish up the right way we ended the night with the cheesecake. Over all our experience was phenomenal and very much worth the price. Highly recommend this place Parking: Just park at the lot and walk over to the tower. Not that far at all

We made a reservation at 1:30PM on a Sunday for their Brunch Buffet. We didn t get to the hostess stand until about 1:40PM. They told us we only had 20 mins to order our plates, and that they will stop refilling the buffet at 2PM. We thought Sure, this is fine. At least we ll be able to enjoy the ambiance and enjoy each others company after we get our food . At 2:30pm, they literally told us we have to leave soon because they need to start setting up for dinner. If you re going to shut the place down at 2:30pm, why would you even accept 1:30PM reservations? Food was nothing special. If you want all you could eat meat, a Brazilian Steakhouse would be a much better choice for about half the price. If you want good eggs Benedict, Scrambler would be a better choice. If you want all you could eat sushi, Sushi Damu in Frisco has much better quality and is something like 25 bucks. View was nothing special. It s nice for about 45 seconds. Then, it s like whatever. A lot of places in Dallas have a view of the Skyline. This place was $80 per person, excluding drinks. Bill was about $200 + $50 Tip. All for about a 45 minute experience. Good date place, but definitely not worth the money.

We visited Crown Block in Dallas without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table upon arrival. However, reservations are highly recommended due to the restaurants popularity. The restaurant boasts stunning views of the city, making it a very nice spot for dining. The sunset, in particular, is mesmerizing and adds a magical touch to the evening. The ambiance is elegant and sophisticated, perfect for special occasions or a memorable night out. While the atmosphere and views are top-notch, the food was only okay. The dishes, though well-presented, did not quite match the high expectations set by the restaurants upscale setting. Service was attentive and courteous, contributing positively to the overall experience. Despite the food being just average, the breathtaking views and refined atmosphere make Crown Block worth a visit. Its an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy the best of Dallas cityscape while dining.

I really wanted to like this place. I was here for Father s Day Brunch. Woof- for $100 a person this was not worth it. This place is not set up for a buffet. It was way too cramped to have to constantly get up and navigate to the food. Also, the food wasn t really very good for the price point. The service was great, and that s the only reason this place gets 2 stars. I can t give any stars for the view because well, it s Dallas, so the view is only good on some sides of the restaurant. Honestly, I feel like the restaurant owners really missed the mark with this restaurant concept. The only reason to drag yourself to the West End of Dallas for an expensive meal is the rotating restaurant. Now that they choose not to rotate it, it lost most of its appeal. They are also trying to do things with this space that it was not meant for. I hope they either tinker with the concept and give people what they really want, or someone else comes in with a better experience.

The food was pretty good, atmosphere isnt great, the place is super packed looks like they tried to get as many tables in this place as humanly possible. I just about bumped elbows with the table next to me all night, and when you sit on the inside you cant even see out the windows for the view. Our waiter was nice however we told her we wanted one more roll of sushi and after asking for a suggestion she brought and charged us for 2. Plus the parking is a quarter mile away and the system was messed up and we waited nearly 15 minutes to get out after a line formed and the attendant was making sure everyones card got ran even though it was taking 20 tries per card to go through. If you want an intimate experience in Dallas for a nice night out this is NOT the place to go. Only reason its 3 stars is because its in the tower but it doesnt rotate anymore and Im sure a new restaurant will be there in a few years so I would probably just wait till something new comes

Im just gonna come out and say it. The brunch buffet is TRASH. If I was a raccoon, itd be 5 stars. Sadly, I am not a raccoon. The portions were small...Im talking mini. Mini sized sushi, mini pastries, mini meat slices. Everything was so incredibly dry (chicken and waffles especially). Things that needed to be served hot were served cold (pastries and meats), and things that needed to be served cold were warm (parfait and overnight oats). I was served water in a glass and my cocktail in a plastic party city-esque cup. Was the food made fresh or was it poorly preserved and remixed leftovers? The world may never know. For $80 per person, you can have a nice meal at any other restaurant in Dallas and have a better experience. The service was also nothing special. The best tasting menu item was the rosewood sliders, and the view from atop the tower is beautiful. Unfortunately, I cannot eat the scenery. Dont waste your time coming here for brunch. I recommend Hide, Sundown at the Granada or hell even a Waffle House at this point.

Unique presentation on the food like the salmon steak and the fresh pasta, but somewhat bland in flavor. The fingerling potatoes on the salmon were cold and dry. The flight of sides was good. Roasted mushrooms were good, corn was okay. Honestly for the pricing, the experience was average. It was really loud too which made it hard to have a conversation. Mocktails were yummy. So pros are: the view, unique presentation of food, celebratory touches like sparklers, cake pops, and a bday card signed by the crew. Cons: overpriced for the actual taste and overall experience. Overbaked dried out shortcake, average tasting pies (key lime, chocolate, and berry pies). My overall thoughts- try it once but go in with low expectations and you wont be disappointed.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Crown Block to celebrate my nephews graduation. Overall, it was a nice experience with a few notable hiccups. **Atmosphere and Ambiance:** Crown Block has a wonderful seating area that is perfect for taking pictures while you wait for your table. The ambiance is quite inviting, though it does get very busy during the evening hours, so be prepared for a lively environment. **Parking:** Parking was hassle-free, which is always a plus when dining out. **Service:** Upon arrival, I checked in and was kindly greeted by the host. However, there was a significant communication gap between the hosts on the lower and upper floors. I was told to wait for the manager, and when she came down, her reaction was quite surprising and disappointing. She visibly rolled her eyes and made a face at the host when I was pointed out. This unprofessional demeanor was followed by a terse exchange where she bluntly stated, I am. Its been a long day, when I commented on her irritated appearance. She claimed there was an issue with our reservation, which was not the case. After a few minutes of back-and-forth discussion, I was finally allowed to join my party upstairs, where my chair was unoccupied. This interaction left a sour taste and certainly impacted the overall experience. **Food:** The food at Crown Block was outstanding. I ordered the Green-Ordered Chicken and Lobster Bisque, both of which were perfectly flavored and beautifully combined. The presentation and taste truly reflected the quality of the cuisine. **Service at the Table:** Once seated, our waiter was very kind and attentive. Despite having a party split across two tables (one with four guests and the other with five), the service was seamless and accommodating. **Overall Impressions:** Despite the initial miscommunication and the disappointing encounter with the manager, the excellent food and attentive service made up for it. Crown Block offers a delightful dining experience with delicious cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend it, but suggest ensuring that your reservation details are clear to avoid any similar issues. **Suggestions for Improvement:** Improved communication and coordination between the hosts on different floors would enhance the guest experience significantly. Additionally, a more professional and courteous approach from the management, even during busy times, is crucial and would be greatly appreciated. Parking: **Parking:** Parking was hassle-free, which is always a plus when dining out.

Horrible experience!!! Would not recommend! We went there to celebrate my daughters graduation dinner and it was not the night we expected. We booked months in advance but in order to do so we had to reserve with an expected price range of $750 for 6 people and put a credit card down which we agreed to. Service was just ok but not for this price range. My husband and I ordered our steaks to be cooked well done and they were both completely red in the middle. Portion sizes are extremely small even though they told us they would be sharable size portions. We complained to our waiter that are steaks were completely undercooked but honestly, we lost our appetites and did not feel like waiting for our steaks to be made again. Then the manager approached us about our concern and assured us that these dinners would be taken off the total bill. Just as we were ready to go, our waiter came back and told us that they could not figure out a way to remove those dinners from our bill which I know is a total lie. They asked us if there was anything else we wanted but at that point we just wanted to go. To top it all off, when we received our final bill, there was a $400.00 UNMET MINIMUM charge added to our bill. So nothing was taken off even though they assured us it would be, we didnt eat our dinners and we were not given anything else for compensation. Total bill was $881.88 and only $350 worth of food was spent. Maybe for a couple date this place would be ok, but for a party of 6 and above, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! There are far better places in Dallas to eat than Crown Block that also have amazing views!

A group of 10 of us went Saturday night. The atmosphere and welcoming experience were fabulous. 3 of our steak entrées were over cooked. The sides, sushi and appetizers were the best things. The cake pops were all chocolate cake with chocolate icing...way too much chocolate. A mix wouldve been better, and the Sam Houston cake was horrible, according to ku husband. I had the Dessert Storm, which was amazing. We will be back to try again, but we will not have steak. Parking: When youre dressed up, in heels, Valet is the way to go. They have parking lots but both are up/down hills.

My wife and I came to Crown Block to celebrate our anniversary. Of course the views were perfect. Jennifer was our server and she was phenomenal!! Dinner was such a treat. By far one of the best steaks I ve ever had, and the mashed potatoes were amazing. We tried the ice cream for dessert, it s made in house and it was delicious. The atmosphere and service were 5star, I m so shocked to see these other reviews saying the service was not up to par. I would absolutely come back, we plan to make this our yearly anniversary dinner. Thank you again for such a memorable evening!!

Have to say, I was disappointed in my experience here. My group and I came for the brunch. I will say, food-wise, it was definitely one of the best quality buffets Ive been to, although for the price I feel like some of the food could have been better, especially the entrees we had. The overall consensus was that most of the entrees were a bit bland. There are buffets around DFW with the same or better quality food for much cheaper. However, I was willing to overlook that because I knew we were paying for the experience & views. With that being said, what disappointed me was that the service did not match the cost. I booked my reservation directly with the manager and when doing so I was given a list of rules/policies, one of which being *We allow for a split/partial payment of the final bill up to 4 ways, so I was prepared to have a split bill as I often have done when eating out at other nice restaurants with colleagues. At the end of the meal when I asked for us to split our payments by individuals orders 3 ways, our waitress was visibly annoyed and acted like this was not allowed unless we evenly split the payments, which if that was a misunderstanding on my end then I accept that and dont blame the waitress for that. However, the wording in the policy given to me does not explicitly state this is not allowed the way that our waitress stated so that is on Crown Block for not making that clear. It made for an uncomfortable situation. The other thing I will say is that I made sure I told the manager when booking my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and asked for it to be a special experience, they said they always do their best. I thought that meant they would do SOMETHING, especially when I checked in and the host asked me who the birthday celebrant was. However, throughout the entire meal there was not a single acknowledgment of my husbands birthday by our waitress nor was there anything special done for him. We got our bill followed by that uncomfortable experience with the waitress, and then we left. I didnt really expect too much but its weird how even a place like Chilis would make someone celebrating their birthday feel more special than this restaurant did. Its just disappointing because this is not the kind of service I expected to match the price I paid. All in all, it was fun to try, but not sure if its something I think is worth coming back to after.

Thank you to Liam and Logan the bartenders for answering every question I would have, as well as making great conversation. The staff was very friendly and attentive There is a dress code. Please make sure to follow it. The views were incredible, a phenomenal view of downtown Dallas.

The truth is that I thought a lot about leaving this review, but I really feel that they are a little racist in this place for the simple fact of speaking in Spanish. My husband took me to celebrate Mothers Day, before we went we called and asked if there was a waiting list and they told us no, we asked is it necessary to make a reservation, they also told us no, everything needs to be clarified, everything was spoken over the phone in English. We arrived and oooo surprise we had to make a reservation, they told us that they did not have a table available that if we wanted we could eat where people wait and my husband, as he is the killer of nobility, said that there was no problem and I did get angry, because literally They brought us the menus, we had a baby and they wanted us to eat there, super uncomfortable, I told my husband to please talk to the hostess that I was not planning to eat there and even less so on Mothers Day for GODs sake. And he talked to her and she told us that the only table available they had was in an hour and a half, that if we wanted to wait, we were already there, hungry and with a small baby. The fact is that the hostess asked us if we wanted a waiter who spoke Spanish, we said yes and she told us: For requesting a waiter who speaks Spanish, by restaurant rules a 20% tip must be included to which I felt, some discrimination for being Latino and I stayed silent, my husband did say thats the least of it, until we leave the tip at 50%, theres no problem. Do they think that all Latinos are stingy or bad tippers? I mean, we understand that we were waiters, we understand the service industry, we know how it works, but they can no longer call us stingy for speaking in Spanish for GODs sake. From there I was already quite upset, they gave us a table and the waiter never spoke to us in Spanish, we always had communication in English and it was super good, the waiter served us very well. At the time of paying, my husband didnt even check the bill, he just swiped the card and already paid, when he saw the bill, he realized that the 20% tip that was supposedly included, just because we were Hispanic, it wasnt there and obviously, we went waiters and as simple as this, the hostess told the waiter, these customers asked for a waiter who speaks Spanish so I told them that the tip was already included, but since we were waiters and we are not stupid and seeing that a Hispanic customer It corresponded to you when you spoke to him in English, you already knew that your tip would not be bad, obviously as long as you have given quality service, in conclusion I deduce the following because I noticed it, when my husband left a tip, the waiters face changed, because We left more than 20% and he would have kept, only with that initial 20%, for the simple fact of having spoken to him in Spanish. Stop being so racist, I understand the situation, the waiters live on tips, we have worked for a long time in this union and we know how hard it is, to provide first-class service and not get a single dollar, but dont discriminate, you too They are Hispanic, our waiter was Hispanic. We keep our mouths shut for everyone, because we are not stingy, it was our first time in this place and we would never go out to eat, if we dont have enough for the tip, my husband says he wants to come back, I really dont want to, I felt like a fly in milk , since we arrived at the restaurant and the hostess welcomed us. The service was good, the busboy was super attentive, but the hostess had nothing to do with it and what a shame if I make my comment very long and in SPANISH, Im sorry for being bilingual and preferring to speak in Spanish, because it is my mother tongue.

You re paying for the view - which is wonderful. It s a very cool concept, but the food misses the mark pretty hard. Service slow but met expectations and the staff was attentive. The drinks were outrageously priced for not being all that tasty. Sushi was almost too salty to eat, while the pork chop was dry and unseasoned. Steak tartar was nice, but nothing to write home about. The sides were fine, but again hilariously overpriced for what they were. We didn t take the leftovers home, which is something we typically look forward to. We would have sent the pork chop back, had we not already been there over an hour at that point. We were kind of just ready to go. The true star of the show, food-wise, was the rib cap. It was 9.5/10 delicious. I m glad we went just for the novelty of it, but we won t go back.

I am confused how this place doesnt have a higher rating. My wife and I went for our anniversary and the food, service, atmosphere, and everything else was phenomenal. We tend to eat out at up scale places a couple times a month and this one is now high on our list. The steak was perfect as was our appetizers and desserts. We got the asparagus as our side which I would say was our least favorite part of the meal (should have go the mashed potatoes). But saying it was the least favorite part does not mean bad. We will visit again.

This restaurant is not worthy of a single star, I had a horrible time on my fifth year anniversary, the food is tasteless, from the appetizers to the main entree service was horrible I ve been to 5 star restaurants before and this was the first time that the server told me and my wife to order everything in one sitting, for the pricey they should ve had a upscale chef, plus there is a whole dress code and there is not an appropriate way the for the ladies wearing heels, my wife s expensive heels got caught in the gap of the escalator and she almost got hurt really bad if she would ve left the shoe behind and it ended up all destroyed . We contact them on the official page of the restaurant and they are careless they never answered us.

You pay an up charge for the view. This was our first time dining there last Friday, so admittedly, we had high expectations. We were going for a very special occasion and were celebrating which was made known to the restaurant. We were given a ranch water tasting for the ride up the elevator, which was pretty cool because we could see the reflection of the hall in the building next to us going up. We were met with another hostess at the top and seated at a table near the window- yay! Unfortunately, our view was of the jail and bail bonds as opposed to the city, but still cool to eat up that high - level with the helicopter tours. As this is a fine dining experience, we expected to have a bit more time to make our selections, however, while browsing the drink menu we were asked 3 times if we were ready. We finally selected a moderately priced bottle of wine, as the whiskey and wine were marked up, in most cases, 200-300% in comparison to other restaurants! Then we were advised that they take the full order at once and handle the rest so we could relax. It seemed more as though so we could be rushed through the meal. The bread service was delicious with a bit of melted cheese on top and served with whipped butter and pimento cheese. I would ve loved to have more but enjoyed the bite sized portion. We ordered the lobster bisque and bursts to share. The bisque was split for us, which was nice. The bisque was a bit thin for my taste and was served with the fresh meat setting on top. For me the soup was a bit thin for a bisque but the flavor was good. There was a decent amount of lobster for the price point. The buratta was also delicious, however the pear buratta on the online menu had been replaced with a fig buratta - again delicious - but I was really looking forward to the pear one. We both ordered the Akaushi Wagyu Striploin for our entree with an add on lobster tail which was served with a single fingerling type potato. The lobster tail was hard to eat as it wasn t easily removed from the shell and they were very small for the price. The striploins were cooked correctly and good. We also had the trio of sides with mushrooms, onion rings, and creamed corn. The bread in on the onion rings was very thick and we couldn t tell the batter was made of pretzels, but the jalapeño creamed corn was delicious. After we ate, we were given a single dessert menu - we chose the creme brûlée donut holes which sounded delicious. They were served underneath a full State Fair sized serving of cotton candy. As in you couldn t even see the donut holes. The dessert was a bit disappointing. Ultimately, we were given just over an hour to enjoy a $500 meal, which was a bit frustrating, and not the fine dining experience timing we d hoped for. The ambiance. The vireo was nice ( despite it being the jail) it was cool just to be up that high. But the range of guests and attire was also surprising. The dress code was posted at the first hostess stand but there was a range of dress not always in complaisance with the posted list. There were also a surprising number of kids. When we walked around after our meal, we were grateful we arrived when we did as many tables were too close together and did not give a romantic vibe at all. Overall, we would go back for a celebration particularly for the novelty of the experience with other guests who had never experienced it. However, we would better know what to expect and would make our food selections more carefully. The food was good but it wasn t great and for $500, we were really hoping for phenomenal.

To whom it may concern , My fiance and I attended on yesterday evening to celebrate our five year anniversary. We checked in with the host and requested a table near the window for viewing purposes. After about five minutes we were seated. About ten minutes went by and no one ever came to ask if we wanted cocktails or appetizers. Another fifteen minutes passed, we were never acknowledged by any members of staff. Everyone around us was being served with the exception of us. At this point, I refuse to patronize a business that doesnt even notice your presence. We politely got up from the table and were told thank you for coming. So thirty plus minutes and nothing from anyone. Its eally sad this occurred and then I received a notification from open table as if we didnt show up. We left there and went to Trulucks were we were acknowledged and treated with respect upon entry. I will not be booking any events at this establishment and Ill be sure to spread the word to all! My food was removed from sight by someone other than our host/waiter and boxed to take home. My HUGE disappointment came the next day when I opened the box. My meat portion was literally cut in half, and the rest of my food was dumped in the box like garbage.
