I moved to Dallas this year, and when looking to try places to eat, Neighborhood services was frequently mentioned. I was disappointed after eating here. The chicken fried steak was bland, and the fried exterior slipped off. The mashed potatoes were dry and bland as well. The brussels sprouts were the only item enjoyable to eat yet nothing to write home about.

It s quite possibly the best I ve ever tasted. But here s the catch: they only make a limited number each week. So, arrive early, stake your claim, and savor every decadent bite. For those with a penchant for pasta, their daily specials are worth the gamble. On my visit, the Alfredo pappardelle with chicken was a standout. Creamy, rich, and perfectly executed, it was a comforting bowl of perfection. The specials rotate, offering fresh and tantalizing options daily. Don t overlook them; if they re anything like my experience, you re in for a treat no matter what s on the menu.

Neighborhood Services is one of my new favorites in the Beltline food district. I ve tried many of the restaurants around this area and didn t notice this unassuming establishment. It s upscale and has an impressive bar. The Steak Frites London Broil is worth every penny. The tuna and avocado appetizer was spot on. My buddy said it s one of the best burgers he s had as well. Parking: Lots of parking but this area is always busy for good reason.

We tried Neighborhood Services for the first time and were completely impressed by the entire experience!! The food was absolutely fantastic!! The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the tuna and avo was fresh, bright and delicious and the meatballs in voodoo sauce is absolute must try!! The voodoo sauce is perfection, try it, you ll thank me later. Emilio was our server and her was nothing short of amazing! He is well versed in the menu, cocktail recommendations and generally enjoyable to talk to. We felt welcomed and taken care of entirely! Dont miss out on this place!!

Great fish & chips... . I had previously enjoyed the banana pudding. We went back again, and they served us what seemd to be something that was made the day before. The bananas were turning, the vanilla pudding was liquidity, and the meringue texture was stale. Very disappointing . Will be a while before I ever try it again. Additionally, the accompanying coffee was cool. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Sleek looking place. Pretty good service in fact, but maybe, just maybe, the reason you were 2/3 empty while practically every place in Addison around you is full and almost impossible to get into is the simple fact you can t even cook a steak. Both of the steaks at our table weren t close to cooked as ordered. And a classic Manhattan or old-fashioned that was at best a one and a quarter or one and a half ounce? I don t pay $16 for wimpy drinks. Obviously, somebody isn t paying attention to basics. Won t be back.

Food was really great so were the drinks.. We had gulf shrimp(very less quantity of shrimps though), chicken picatta and blackened mahi with grits special. Not a grits person but still liked it. We had brownie dessert which was good not exceptional ! Parking on Friday is super rough. Had to call and push reservation by 15 minutes. Come early on Friday! If a party of 4, seating on the small booths is going to be tight.. specially if you also have coats on the booth.

This spot was recommended. Discovering this versatile dining spot in Dallas proved ideal for my quick cocktail meeting it served as a central meeting point. I can review the items we tried. Fish and chips - nothing special but ruined by loe quality tartar sauce (not much more than mayonnaise) and super bland malt vinegar, so not enjoyable. The $23 burger instead of medium rare was raw in the middle, relatively bland in taste. The Meatballs were ok, but not great. Really, I am very unimpressed with the food. The mark up on the wine was as excessive as the prices on the food. The $50 dollar bottle of wine was $125. That is a 125% markup. The only thing that was good was the service. Service was very good. In a nutshell, this place is overpriced and needs to up the quality of the food. We would never go back.

I had dinner last night w/ several SMU buddies at Neighborhood Services in Addison, TX. Highs: Super nice & welcoming interior w/a large bar Kyle was our server-GREAT job and would request/recommend Kyle to anyone visiting this location Specials (3) were all verbally announced WITH prices and while that seldom happens, it is appreciated Appetizers (meat balls/ deviled eggs) were beautifully presented and devoured quickly All entrees were said to be of high quality and again, nicely presented. However, someone must have locked the real chef in a closet because the Fish and Chips tonight were absolutely terrible. Just a complete and total waste of a trip out. Went once for dinner. This had been on my list to try for some time now. Overall good experience but found that each dish ordered was just a bit off the mark. Started with the ceviche, which I found to be a little too sweet. Fish and chips tasted good but only two smallish pieces of fish and a ton of fries. Romaine and kale Caesar was maybe only 10% kale maybe less. Ordered the prime rib dip. For $26 I would expect a little more meat. You can order double meat but for $42! I might guess there was about 5 oz in my sandwich. Just felt like they were really cutting corners here. Really wanted to like it so might give it another try.

The real SCOOP! I forgot how good this place was ..so glad my lunch meeting was set here!!!! SO fresh & SO delish!!! Every single staff member was nice, cordial, Alyssa was our waiter was SHARP & on point! We had a family dinner here on a Friday night. Started off with the fried asparagus and cauli dyno. Both were very good! Some of the entrees ordered were the burger, meatloaf, fish & chips, and couple salads (who cares about the salads). The salad eaters did however say they were excellent! Lol. The burger was very tasty and perfectly cooked albeit kinda small for a $19 burger. Fries were great especially with that voodoo sauce! Very the voodoo sauce! Finished with banana parfait, butterscotch, chocolate brownie, and peach cobbler. I like the brownie and butterscotch the best! Dante was our server and did an incredible job. Service was perfect! Over all meh, especially for the price point. We were sat past our reservations time. The expo or food runner seemed very annoyed tonight. Coming by barking out the food items not being personable at all. You have your staff in fine dining attire but don t know the simple steps of service like pardon my reach or waiting until the table isn t having an intimate conversation to ask for food orders. Our brussels were raw then when we sent them back they came out just as hard but burnt. The grits were dry and lumpy. I definitely am sad that we had my celebratory engagement dinner here. This was our second time dining at Neighborhood Services, and it was just as pleasant as the first. The first time, it sort of hides between two buildings giving it a touch of speakeasy vibes, but once youve been its easy to notice. The first time, we were a little caught off guard by the decor. Simply put, its weird . Its modern, but traditional, and nostalgic, and a touch of confederate if you will. Honestly we were concerned, but the staff is polite and welcoming, and seem to enjoy their job (rare these days). We ordered a few drinks, the asparagus appetizer and the meatballs. All of it was delicious. This visit, we ordered the asparagus and meatballs again, delicious. We also had the chicken sandwich, though when it arrived it looked dry; we were wrong. By the time half the sandwich was gone I had a beard full of juice and that delicious honey mustard sauce. Oops Definitely one of our favorites!

(Trigger warning: I have never left a 1-star review in my life...if you are thinking about going here for a get together or event read this) Im giving one star for our server. He was awesome. Attentive, food was good, atmosphere is on point. All the rest of the stars go down the drain with the manager. I never caught his name because in his complete and total lack of customer service he never mentioned it. We came here with family who had not seen in each other in years on Saturday night. My uncle ordered about 600 worth of food and wine. As we were finishing dessert the manager (short hair, vest) walked up, half heartedly asked if we enjoyed our meal - and then said to the youngest person at the table we would need to leave to accommodate other reservations. We hadnt even paid the bill or finished dessert. Naturally it upset my Uncle, so when my Aunt went to complain - rather than apologizing and explaining the situation...he fought fire with fire and completely disrespected my 60 year old Aunt. Of course that led to my Uncle getting even more upset and eventually ruined the end of the night. Whoever runs this place needs to remind management in the end of the day their job is to SERVE the customer. If you overbooked reservations and dont have the table volume to serve your next patrons use some situational awareness in the moment and at leas be POLITE! Even if its totally fake, how low IQ do you have to be to be rude to your customers? Explain the situation to both parties, respectfully, and clearly. This isnt Catch, or Nobu. Its Neighborhood Services in Addison. It might be worth signing that manager up for an entry level business communications class at Brookhaven to prevent this from happening again. That said I learned not to act the way he did from a part time job at Blue Goose my sophomore year of High School. His behavior was an embarrassment to the brand. I plan on calling corporate as well, because my Aunt & Uncle honestly deserve a refund after the way things transpired on Saturday. So all in all service great, food awesome, experience mutes all that because of bad leadership. Do better Vest Guy.

We had the crab dip, prime rib special, filet, cheeseburger, side of mac & cheese and the brownie dessert. Would give the crab dip a 3, prime rib 3, filet 4, cheeseburger 5, Mac and cheese 4, and brownie 5. Crab dip was average, prime rib was medium well+ rather than medium/medium rare but had good flavor. Filet had excellent herb butter and crust but a little gristly. Cheeseburger was excellent, Mac and cheese was very cheesy with good seasoning - above average, and the brownie a la mode was as good as any other brownie a la mode I have eaten.

The food was not great for the price. I ordered chicken piccata with frites and the chicken was so bland and I was served about a pound of fries for $24. I ve had much better food for less and if they re going to be charging those prices I d make sure the food is really good. The dining area is small and feels a bit crowded. I told the hosts that it was our first time here so I thought they d be extra nice but instead we were told we could be seated but l had to leave by 6pm to accommodate a reservation even thought we were the only ones in the dining room besides maybe 2 other tables. The service was average, server was nice but not very attentive. In conclusion, save your money and spend it somewhere else. Gave 2 stars because I liked the aesthetic and the drinks were good, so I d say if you come here, just go to the bar.

My boss took us here for a dinner celebration and they dont take walk ons. Said without a reservation we would be waiting awhile even though it was pretty empty. The hostess also added that we would have to be done in 1 hour once they seated us. Our appetizers were not brought out and then they messed up our desserts. They also rushed us the entire time and even reached for plates that werent finished without asking. When we finished and were already outside, the waiter came out to complain about the gratuity. We explained our experience and they began blaming the hostess and the servers for our experience. This place needs an immediate leadership meeting to discuss improvements.

Megan was friendly and helpful. She guided us through the menu and the food was delicious. We started with the meatballs, the sauce is delicious. Then we had our entrees- Salmon for him, I got a bite (super tasty) and the schnitzel for me and we loved everything. Will definitely be back. Thank you Megan!

The food was marvelous the staff was a1. The waitress I had was super nice and sweet. I had to leave her a nice tip. The drinks were awesome. My steak was well done cooked to perfection it just melted in my mouth. Please go and try this restaurant out. The patio area was very nice in deed. Must go back

Nice atmosphere for a cozy dinner. The food was great, absolutely no complaints there. We had an excellent server. However, it is overpriced for what it is. $27 chicken fingers is a bit much. Everything seemed to be more expensive than necessary. Ive had better/similar quality meals for much less. For the price, I dont think I will be going back again. However, it was a lovely meal and experience.

This place was AMAZING. A little on the more expensive side but well worth it. A little over $20 for half a dozen oysters from St. Edwards Island and easily the best Ive had. Every single dish was amazing from the mac and cheese...my husband got the surf and turf...I got the fish and chips. The service was outstanding especially with an infant and a toddler...they were wonderful in anticipating our needs. Definitely coming back.

Asked if I had reservations, which I did not, she gave us a why not look, then stated she could seat a party of 2, but we had to be finished by 7pm because the table was reserved. This was 530pm on a Thursday. The website clearly stated the restaurant was not busy. I will NOT go back to that location. I was not impressed.

Our new favorite place! The small plate of meatballs in a brown gravy was a great appetizer. Fresh flounder was cooked perfectly. Hungarian mushroom soup was without a doubt the best soup I have had in years. Very rich flavor, a great beef base. To call what we had for dessert banana pudding is an insult. Definitely homemade and unbeatable. Our server, Kyle, was personable and knowledgeable. The bus person was crazy friendly without being obtrusive.

Fantastic experience. The steak frites was the star of the show and the voodoo sauce is spectacular. The fish and chips and crispy asparagus are also noteworthy. Atmosphere is cozy and unique although a little loud. Reservation and seating system could use some tweaking but after eating it won t even be a concern. Service was surprisingly knowledgeable about the menu and everything was tidy.

If I had to explain this restaurant to fellow foodies it would be: an affordable Town Hearth. I was so impressed by the service given to me tonight. Honestly I would give NHS a 4.5 Fun place witg lots going on in that shopping area, parking might take a bit longer than anticipated. We arrived early on a Saturday evening (540) the bar was packed and the dining area was almost full as well. It was hopping. Huge bar, great selection of drinks. 2oz pours. For dinner my wife had the halibut special and I had the short rib enchiladas. we also split an iceberg wedge salad. Service was delightful, food was delicious. I think the enchiladas could use a kick in the spices but they tasty. Highly recommend.
