This is probably my favorite restaurant in Dallas. The deviled eggs are second to none, the flatiron steak is perfectly cooked and the Caesar salad is out of this world. I visited here entirely based on the recommendation of the guide on my Dallas tour earlier in the day. He (Isaac) also facilitates a food tour as well and has a love for trying different locations, and has been in Dallas much of his life, so I easily accepted the suggestion . . . and glad I did. I wanted to visit a location that offers top-quality craft bar options (and I did add no matter the price). The pricing here was VERY reasonable, and the service at the bar was friendly and attentive, and the drinks were, well, Fantastic. I enjoyed my visit and would readily return myself if I lived in Dallas, but I was only visiting for the Eclipse weekend. It is a location I can very easily recommend to others. Go! Enjoy! I certainly did.

We tried this restaurant for the first time this weekend. I don t know how this place has a 4.7rating. I will rate the service and the atmosphere a 4. The food however, a complete ripoff. The quality and quantity of the food was nothing short of a joke. I ordered the crab stuffed ravioli. Total raviolis- 6! It was drowning in butter sauce with nothing added. We ordered a side of bread & butter and they served a total of 3 slices of bread for 4 people. We will not return here again and would not recommend.

A saloon inspired restaurant that is filled with culture and friendliness. We were just outside about to enter when the host opened the door for us with a warm welcome. We were seated immediately and were attended to often. The menu shares comfort meals with elevated presentations. The popular cornbread and potato mash were great, but I wouldn t say a die hard order. The ribeye steak was phenomenally cooked and everything was served quite quickly. They also validate your parking so don t forget to submit your parking garage ticket.

Well all the critics weren t wrong when they put this in Dallas Top Restaurants. Upscale atmosphere without the unpretentious service. Wait staff was really attentive yet not overbearing. Decor was reminiscent of a speakeasy. And everything was clean and well done. Food was absolutely delicious, however a few feedbacks for which i had to take 1 star: 1) the deviled eggs could use some more flavor. 2) I really REALLY did not like the Wagyu Beef Cheeks. Its technically some kind of roast beef and NOT what i was hoping for. Wish they had explained that when asked about it, and 3) drinks werent anything special although the names would lead you to believe otherwise. Must do the cornbread and banana pudding, they were delicious! Their dressed oysters were perfect.

Great experience, start to finish at Billy Can Can. The saloon feel was perfect for our night out in Dallas--great vibe, comfortable and cozy. The menu is excellent, it was hard to choose from so many great options. Started with deviled eggs, which did not disappoint. I have never tried quail before, but the server said it had a kick to it, so it was a must try. It was absolutely delectable. Hubby had the steak frites; they were cooked to perfection. We had a little glitch in the timing of our salad, but Herman, the manager, made it right, sending us home with some of the chili that is made in house. He is a class act and has customer service down pat. Thank you for a wonderful experience, well be back!

We really wanted to like it here but our experience fell short in so many ways. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and taken to our seats at the back of the restaurant in a more dark, private area. We thought it was fantastic as it was for a valentines meal and we wanted it to be special for us. The waiter came over and introduced himself. He asked if there were any allergies that he should be aware of, to which I replied yes, I am completely dairy free. He then went on to say ohhh pretty much everything on our menu has butter in it - I was so shocked by this because even if this is the case, surely the restaurant should be ready to prepare meals using alternatives for people who have dietary restrictions like dairy free, gluten free etc? The waiter then said that items on the menu that he knows won t have dairy would be the steak frites and the red snapper. I hated the fact that I was being told those were the only two things that I could order as neither of them sounded good to me. Not to mention the steak frites were one of the most expensive items on the menu at $37. We then went on to order our starters - venison tartare and devilled eggs. The starters came and the smell of melted butter was unbearable - the ciabatta that came with the tartare had been smothered in butter. I could not believe it! I thought at this point I had made it pretty clear that I could not eat dairy. We sat in disbelief waiting on our waiter coming back over to check in on us - at this point he was chatting to the table next to us while leaning his hand on the chair that was literally on our table and next to my fiancé. When he eventually came to check on us, I told him about the ciabatta to which he replied oh sorry let me get you some new bread . Again, I was SHOCKED. Surely wait staff should know that if someone has an intolerance to something, simply swapping one thing on the plate for another is not sufficient as at this point the butter had touched the rest of the food and the plate. He then took away the plate and another waiter came over with my butter free venison tartar - the new waiter said so you can t have butter huh? I awkwardly laughed and said no I can t. I hated the fact he said this as it made me feel like a weird spectacle to everyone - I refuse to believe that I am the FIRST EVER dairy free person to walk through the doors of Billy Can Can. We ate our starters and then waited for our mains. When the mains came I was again SHOCKED that I had been given a little pot of Heinz tomato ketchup with my steak frites instead of the steak sauce that was listed on the menu. I have no problems with substitutes, in fact, I welcome them. However, I do have a problem with being given ketchup with a $37 meal and no one even informing me that this was going to be the case. At this point I already felt as if I was a nuisance to the staff in the restaurant so I stayed quiet and just ate my meal. I also think it s worth mentioning that I asked for my steak to be cooked rare and it came medium rare - the outskirts of it was tougher than old boots. After the main, the waiter came over and said dessert menu? Oh wait, you re dairy free never mind. I ll get the cheque . The fact I was basically told that I would not be having dessert in the restaurant was so uninviting and unprofessional. We waited on the cheque and I was hoping to see some kind of discount as a gesture of goodwill due to how awful our meal went, but there was no money taken off at all, just a charge of free ciabatta at $0.00. FREE ciabatta? You mean to tell me that there was a possibility that we would have had to pay for a second ciabatta simply because your staff can t take allergies seriously and are incapable of smothering butter over things? I have been to plenty of restaurants around the DFW area and I have to say that this was the worst experience I have ever had. The staff are unprofessional and are not trained on how to deal with dietary requests or allergies whatsoever. Do NOT recommend! Save your money and go elsewhere. Dietary restrictions: They can t help you at all if you have dietary restrictions

Billy Can Can? More like Billy Can t Can t accommodate dietary requirements. We booked dinner for two on Valentine s Day and were taken to the back of the restaurant which looked so nice and exciting. We were then greeted by our server who asked if we had dietary requirements/ Allergies. We stated that my fiance is totally dairy free. The waiter then proceed to say ohhhh right.. everything in our menu literally has butter.. but you can have the steak or red snapper . They were not helpful at all, and suggested the two more expensive items on the menu. We then asked if anything could be prepared without butter and he said that he would speak to the chef but it was unlikely. We ordered the Venison Tartare, as he recommended that it comes dairy free. When the dish arrived, the bread was lathered in butter. We said to the waiter that my fiance could not eat this and he said oh I ll just get you new bread . The buttered bread was touching the venison tartare. For people with allergies, simply changing the bread does not solve the fact that dairy has been in the plate and touched the meat. This could have caused a terrible evening. After our main, the waiter came back and said any dessert? Actually, wait you re dairy free, so just the check then. Which was extremely rude and just uninviting. Overall the food was extremely average, the service was poor and the drinks were really mundane. If you have dietary requirements, I cannot recommend this place at all. Staff are not trained to deal with allergies. PLEASE BE AWARE!

Were just glad that it wasnt served on the steak, but still fun to try. Original desserts were OK. Good service. Wed say that the only big issue was NO BREAD! Seriously, its nice to have, and most places dont over look that. I guess we just need to bear in mind that this is really just a bar not a steakhouse.

It s a nice restaurant that balances a casual after work hangout and more celebratory. The actual entrees were just ok but the appetizers and sides were all good. For appetizers and sides we had the oyster sliders, Brussels sprouts, and garlic french fries (came with the billy burger). The fries were perfectly fried, so good! We were also recommended the elotes ravioli as an appetizer which was surprisingly not too heavy and the perfect amount for two people. For our entrees, we had the Billy Burger and the Red Snapper. The Red Snapper was too fishy and salty and I couldn t appreciate the combo of cooked grapes with my meal. My boyfriend enjoyed the burger but felt that the bacon in it distracted from the perfect cook on the meat. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly! We also got drinks at the bar before being seated and enjoyed old fashions with bourbon. Overall, I would recommend it for drinks and appetizers but maybe not for a full dinner meal.

First time Ive written a bad review in a while. Went here tonight and sat at the bar with my husband. Weve lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and finally wanted to try this place since it looks pretty nice. Top 5 the worst service Ive ever had. We sit down and the bartender (bald guy) didnt acknowledge us at all but kept making eye contact. Then one of his bar backs pours out ice he was using and he yells at him in front of us and the other customers why would you do that?! I was using it for his drink gave off really bad energy right away between the employees, you could def feel the tension with body language too. The bar back slams waters in front of us and doesnt say a peep, you can tell hes mad. 10-15 minutes goes by, still nobody has came by to say literally anything to us, the bartender is continuing making eye contact with us, and the bartender weve been sitting literally 12 away from he ask his associate (girl with shorter brown hair, several tattoos)are they good as he nods his head to us. First time Ive seen her, I thought I was sitting on his bar because we we sitting directly in front of where he was standing making drinks the whole time. Not one hi hello nothing from anyone we were just sitting there with the waters the barback gave us (didnt say one word to us either). He was helping others at the bar and wasnt just making drinks, so not sure why not us as we were sat literally directly in front of his drink station. Anyways she walks up hands us our menus and is extremely short with us, no intros not hello, like literally nothing. Ive worked in restaurants for many years, i promise i am patient and understand when things are busy. This is not it, keep reading. Its 9 pm and the place is probably like 65-70% full.. we finally were able to order drinks and an appetizer then the lady (who I guess is our server?? Im not sure at this point if its the bald guy or her, literally nobody introduced themselves or were friendly at all) she disappears to the other side of the bar where she is taking shot after shot with customers at the bar, screaming with them, dancing and skipping at the bar, then some customer puts money in the cleavage of her shirt. She takes off her apron then comes to the bartender in front of us and says they gave me $5 to take off my apron! At this point Im really mad and so is husband because weve been trying to order food and she wont even look our way for us to flag her down. The bald bartender picks up on it I guess? And rudely is like do yall guys need anything? And we both say yea weve been trying to order food. He says okay, order...like no sorry, no Im your server now still nothing in terms of effor from either one of these people. Then two people sit next to us at the bar and apparently the customer knows the lady that is bartending, i think he is a regular and is with a date because he introduces his friend to the bartender She comes and of course gives them service right away, gets them drinks, and in facts has a shot with them! As they cheers she says Im going to take this shot and clock out at this point its so bizarre I have no idea what is going on around me. Its so chaotic in this place and Im wondering where is management. I kid you not we are still waiting on our food, Im afraid to talk to the grumpy as heck guy and the other girl bartender is now drunk and apparently just decided to clock out even though she was our waiter? This woman literally clocked out because about 5 minutes later she comes back behind the counter, but now shes changed clothes, she pours herself a glass of wine and comes beside us to talk to her cusoltomers and has more drinks with them (one point she has a whole bottle of wine in her hand) & they are taking selfies and everything, like she literally forgot about us and didnt acknowledge us at all. It was so wild her drinking right by us why were waiting on our food. Very visibly drunk. I saw management (cowboy cat and red plaid shirt?) Witness some of this and acted like it was normal?

Our server Eric was excellent. My friends and I visited Billy Can Can for the first time during restaurant week 2023. Eric provided excellent choices from start to finish including main course, dessert and drinks. Rock Fish and Pork Chops are excellent. Were looking forward to our next return visit. Parking: Considering the meal price and elegant restaurant, the valet should be totally complimentary.l

Just wanted to give you the lowdown on Billy Can Can in Victoria Park Dallas. So, I swung by the other night and had a few drinks at the bar. Gotta say, I was pretty impressed. The atmosphere was on point, with a cool old-school vibe and a killer playlist. The bartenders knew their stuff and whipped up some seriously tasty cocktails. And let me tell you, the drinks were strong in all the right ways. Overall, Id definitely give Billy Can Can a thumbs up. Its a spot worth checking out if youre in the area and looking for a good time.

I had dinner here and it was OK. I think its a bit overrated on Google reviews. I had the venison tartare - which was fine but not something Id do again by myself. I had the filet (which comes sliced - I didnt really care for that part) and the flavor was just OK. The potatoes that come with the filet are good but need a little salt. I also tried the skillet cornbread that everyone raves about and it was just meh - Ive had much better. Dinner was $100 for just me, without tip, and I felt it wasnt a very good value for the quality. I did order a fair amount of food. There are offerings a few blocks away that are better. I gave it a higher rating because of the service and atmosphere. Its a unique experience thats worth trying. Maybe I was there in an off night. You might have better luck on the cuisine.

Everything was excellent. The dueling sausages, the pasta (see picture, not sure which it was based on website menu), the pork chop but I need to ESPECIALLY call out the cornbread, served in a skillet with honey butter, and the wagyu steak. You can t go wrong with either! If you order one, go ahead and order a second. The chocolate pudding cake wasn t bad either, but skip the raspberry ice cream on the side.

This is a great restaurant with a very good whiskey and spirits selection. The bar tenders are also talented mixologists as well. The food was incredible. The cast iron cornbread is one of the top cornbread dishes Ive ever had. I like the interesting twist in deviled eggs by offering different toppings on each (assorted). The brussel sprouts are a must. The prices are a little on the high end, but you get what you pay for in quality here. Well worth it once you try the food. The whiskey prices were on par for standard pours, and their Makers single barrel (which is fantastic and pairs with many of their meals). For higher allocated pours they were on the high side, but thats unfortunately the market at most places. Overall this is a must stop and I will go back every time I go to a Stars or Mavs game!

We have been going to Billy can cans every other Mavericks game for five years. It is clear that something has changed this year with ownership or chef. The general managers we know are no longer there. They have tried to become high end with their appetizers and entrées and the portions are minuscule, but decorative. someone thought it was a good idea to add potato chips as the serving platform for appetizers. We had the octopus yesterday with a fantastic sauce, and absolutely no vehicle to absorb the sauce into which was by far the best part of the appetizer. Potato chips don t absorb the sauce. The steak Frites has so much gristle that despite its good cookery, you had to choke down every bite. I had the muscles and clams, and there was four of each in a nice sauce with a nice bread, which was the best part of the meal. Four mussels and clams for the price it is served was a bit of an insult. After five years of going there for every other Mavericks game, we will be looking for a new place to substitute. It s heartbreaking to lose what was such a great restaurant at the perfect location. But like they say, all good things come to an end.

TLDR: THIS RESTAURANT IS AMAZING AND YOU SHOULD VISIT ASAP! Where do I begin? The service, atmosphere, drinks and food were all absolutely amazing! I wish that I had better photos to share, but it was so delicious I dove into it before even thinking to snap a review worthy photo. We enjoyed the assorted deviled eggs for an appetizer, split the Caesar salad as it was huge, then moved on to the Street corn ravioli and prime ribeye. We also added on the crispy Brussels and Yukon Gold Puree. Sadly we had no room for dessert, and we were tempted and plan to go back. This was the perfect date night location! While the Sonora Showdown is their most popular drink and is a very good spin on a margarita, If you like a tiny bit of spice, definitely go for the Pepper Smash!! I have so much more to say about this restaurant, but we are headed into a show over at American airlines.

one of the best dinners Ive had in the Dallas area! We went on Valentines Day so it was a bit busy but overall it was a wonderful time. We got there early and got a drink at the bar - the Cococabana and Old Fashioned. You can either be sat in the main dining area or in the backroom (which I preferred). It was less noisy and more of a cozy feel. Our waiter was amazing and knowledgeable about pairings and suggestions on the menu. They had a special Valentines Day menu prepared with chef/restaurant special selections. We started with the assorted deviled eggs which came with blue crab, candied bacon, crispy country ham, pickled okra, pickled shrimp, and smoked paprika. For my meal, I got the Wagyu Steak Au Poivre - 8 oz. peppercorn crusted rosewood ranch platinum flat iron, broccoli rabe, au Poivre. Probably one of the best steaks Ive ever had. Additionally, we got a side of the cast-iron cornbread - it was a little dry so I probably wouldnt order it again but overall pretty tasty! My only complaint is that our waiter went missing for 30 minutes (conveniently when we needed to get the check) which was annoying because we were heading to a concert afterward and were already late.
