From long periods with zero matches to as many dates as I want. I was hesitant to to the cost and my lack of outfits. I would have done better to buy more clothes beforehand, and I was never very good with the facial expressions. Even with that, when I created my Bumble profile I had matches in minutes. I talked with a few women then went to bed. By the time I woke up, I had dozens of women who d swiped on me. Once I got to work, it had maxed out the Bumble counter (50). Bumble sends emails with the actual count and I ve got 177 waiting. Any time I go on, I m shown a series of women who have all already right-swiped me, so I m getting instant matches. I just can t do five dates per weekend on a consistent basis, so I deleted Tinder and paused Hinge and Bumble since I ve got one girl in particular who stands out from the rest and one or two that I could go out with for another date. I know I m going to hire a photographer going forward to keep updating or document trips I m on. I absolutely recommend this. Oh, and women know the photos are staged (the top girl mentioned it to me, and I told her yes 100% I hired a photographer and it was a great decision). Who cares? I was on a date with her and she invited me back to her place at the end. It is still working.

Before working with Jason and getting my pictures taken I thought the cost was a little high as there plenty of other services out there to choose from. After spending a few hours getting my photos taken and getting way out of my comfort zone, I not only thought it was worth it but I am highly recommending it. It was fun and Jason was great to work with. But at the end of the day what really mattered is did I get pictures for my profiles that made a difference? Hell yes! It has been way better than I could of imagined. No more frustration of a match a day with my old photos. Now getting about 10+ matches a day with much higher quality to choose from. I recently signed up on a couple of dating websites, and decided to book a photo session with The Match Artist. Im the least photogenic person I know (I have exactly 3 photos of myself that I like), and I figured that anything would be an improvement from the backyard photos I took to put on my profile. Ive never done a photo shoot before, and didnt know what to expect. The photo shoot was awesome! The photographer, Mike Copeland, is not only a great photographer, but is very knowledgeable about facial expressions and scene composition. We spent 5 hours in multiple locations; and the very first photo he took was as good as the best photo I had of myself going into the shoot. Before I saw the photos, I would have been happy with 1 or 2 that I really liked -- out of the over 250 photos he took, I think all of them are great candidates! Mike, I cant tell you how much I appreciate it -- Im really looking forward to giving these to my family, and putting them on the website... I cant recommend you and TheMatchArtist enough!!

Yeah just so you know its $2799 for their basic shoot. Since they dont post it anywhere, Ill save you a 30 minute phone call. Seems to include a lot of stuff, but the guy on the phone was clearly trying to evoke my fears and anxieties about past dating failures to get me to buy the product. When I said I needed time to think about it, accused me of being unserious.

Great service - I think The Match Artist process is well thought out and thorough. It includes lots of background/training material and there is also practice just before the actual photo shoot. Photographer Jason Berkman was great to work with. He made the whole process fun and stress-free, even in the most public areas. He has a good vision to see opportunities in each environment for some great photos. These photos are getting lots of likes, which is the whole point!

Great service - would strongly recommend this to anyone considering personal/dating profile photography. Photographer Jason Berkman was great to work with and made the process fun and comfortable. These guys really know how to capture and portray you through photos. Prior to the shoot, they provide extensive coaching on various facial expressions, wardrobe choice, planning different locations and activities for the shoot etc. Despite all the planning, the photos have this natural, unplanned vibe. Post-shoot theyve also given excellent support on selecting the best photos and sequencing them on your profile. Its been a few months since my session and Ive seen great results. So many more matches and conversations. As other reviews mention its worth the investment!

If you re considering this service, I would recommend that you do it. The product they deliver is well worth it. That being said because the product is you a significant portion of the final product is dependent upon your efforts. They provide a wealth of advice on wardrobe, facial expression, and setting selection. They also provide a lot of helpful information about how to best represent yourself on a dating profile. It is in your interest to heed their advice. The photos they produce will look great that s a given. But the extra details they coach you through propel them to the next level. The photos they produced for me were outstanding the best photos I have ever had of myself. The impact of these photos on my online dating profile cannot be understated. Before the pictures, my matches were few and not great fits. After deploying the photos both the quantity and quality of the matches I received significantly and immediately improved. These photos helped highlight me as a person. They showed not just my face they provided a narrative of who I am and what I like to do. Within a few months of using these photos, I met my current girlfriend things couldn t be better. I would use the Match Artist again and highly recommend it to anyone considering it.

Called a dude who tried to sell me on this. I think his name was Danny or something. Told him me and my family were skeptical about this and he just passive aggressively said are you going to continue taking chances or are you going to give this a try. Tried to convince me to pay 2,300 for a photoshoot. They only had one photographer and the dude was in San Francisco so if your not successful in dating working with the match artist won t change anything. The guy made claims that I would be more likely to meet dates or have better luck on the apps after paying them. Then he admitted the founders put him in the sales job to try and sell it on the phone. I said I wasn t convinced he could provide the value on the phone. He basically said we ll reach out one more time and if you re still not interested we ll just move on. And later he shamelessly texted me saying by the way here is the link to the deposit. He didn t care about what I said he s just trying to sell this and go after people s money. This service offers no help for writing profiles on dating apps either it s just photos. You can get a job like this done for only a few hundred at most with a local photographer. The guy I called admitted this on the phone as well. Pay a local photographer instead this is a complete waste of money. They don t care if you get results on apps or not they just want your money. This is just a waste of money for a generic photography service. If your not getting results on apps this service won t change it at all and your better off looking elsewhere for help. Everything they say is about getting your money they don t care if you get results or not.

I recently had a Match Artist photoshoot in San Francisco with Marcos. Right after we met, he became acquainted with me and quickly understood what I was going for and wanted from the photoshoot. Working with Mike Copeland from The Match Artist was one of the best experiences I have ever had. These guys are good at what they do, and they do more than you think. They ve got a great idea for a picture to show off every personality, and Mike repeatedly blew me away with the amazing shots he was able to come up with. Need a LinkedIn headshot? Phone profile picture? An instagram profile picture? They ll do that too. I had a great experience with the Match Artist. It was worth every penny. I was getting no traction with my dating profiles and wasn t putting much effort into it. I found MA on a google search and read some of the testimonials. I decided to rebuild my dating profile from the ground up and signing MA was the first step. The photo shoot was great. Mike Copeland was my photographer and made me feel very comfortable and took some great shots. The results have been great! I noticed I got a lot more connections with women and also much higher quality than what I had before. It is pricey but again well worth it! I highly recommend!

I had a not so great experience trying to schedule a shoot. ~2 months. I eventually got frustrated enough to contact the owner. I have to give him credit. He flew out a photographer from Austin, and it was all over within 5 days of my reaching out. He also adjusted the price appropriately for my experience. The photos are quality. I get about 2 - 4 times more matches than when using selfies and the like. Im taking a star off because I felt like the company should be monitoring order dates to completion dates. Further, my original photographer was let go before I contacted them for this reason. No one reached out to match me with a new photographer.

Overall, The Match Artist took great photos of me and guided me through the whole process, making the photoshoot as easy as possible. That being said, I would only recommend the service if you live near their photographers or they can come to you. To make the most of your photos, it s best to have access to your full wardrobe, your home, and other locations or activities with which you are familiar. The service is worth the high cost if you are already decent looking and have access to cool locations, outfits, and activities that the photographer can capture to show you in the best possible light. If you don t have access to these things, don t have great fashion sense, or aren t the best looking, then The Match Artist services won t help you much in the dating department. The Match Artist s photos provided some benefits to my dating profile; I received a few more decent quality matches per week than before, but it s nothing too crazy. If you re an average looking guy, don t expect hundreds of matches per week after using this service; you may be better off hiring a local photographer to take some decent photos of you outdoors to save on the cost.

I had the privilege of working with Mike on a shoot to put together photos I could use in various dating apps. The shoot itself was totally easy, and Mike did a great job getting me to relax and act like my best but natural self for the camera. Really I dont think Ive ever looked so good! A particular highlight is they work with you to highlight you unique character and hobbies, which I think really helps keep conversation going in those initial awkward few exchanges. Its only been a day since the final photos arrived, but Im already seeing a huge amount of success. Highly recommended if you can afford it, really one of the best ways to spend money for a modern man imo.

Pressing a shutter button is easy, but getting a great shot is not. Mike did all the little things to capture photos of myself I could not imagine having before. You get what you pay for, and my experience with Mike was top notch and well worth the money! He was extremely responsive before and after the shoot, talking me through the process and giving me great advice beforehand, including referring me to a great online shop to get some nice clothes at reasonable prices. He also did a great job during the shoot of making me feel comfortable and at ease, especially when we went out in public. He made sure to take photos that captured my interests, and was able to effectively improvise. A sudden rainstorm altered our plans, and he was flexible with my time wanting to make sure we got everything we needed. We ended up going to a close-by location that he wasnt familiar with, but he was still able to find some great spots that we were both really excited about. After the shoot, he delivered all the shots ahead of schedule, including a separate delivery of handpicked favorites. Would highly recommend Mike and this service!

If you are single and struggling to find matches on dating apps, its more than likely your pictures. I hired the Match Artist for professional photo shoot, and they did not disappoint. My photographer, Jason, was professional, friendly and a clear expert at capturing my life with his camera. The turn around time on the photos was fast as well, which I appreciated. Prior to working with the Match Artist, I was receiving a match or two a week with my own photos which, admittedly, were not good. Once I posted the pictures Jason took, I had close to 50 matches in under 36 hours! If you are wondering if the Match Artist is worth the money, it is 100% worth every cent.

I was very appreciative of the high quality service provided by Michael Schmidt photographer working for the match artist. We went to numerous venues and I changed clothes numerous times to come up with a portfolio of photos that was really outstanding. I will also say that I appreciate Mike s sensibilities as an artist, and the way that he directed me when taking the pictures and also the help in selecting the different outfits I was also impressed with the facial expression coaching, which was some thing that I had never heard of before. Just got back from my photo shoot with Mike Schmidt. The process was easy, relaxed, and fun. Mike was full of great ideas for shots and was able to bring out the best in me for each photo. We got hundreds of great pics and I m excited to see the results they get for my online profiles (in fact, some women approached us during the shoot, so they re already working before I even post them, lol.) I worked with Jason and he is hands down the best photographer I have ever worked with! I was very satisfied with the end result (even just for personal use and not for dating apps yet). Worth every penny! Only tips for future customers: remember they are more of a startup with hectic schedules so they might reschedule here or there. And Id recommend taking a couple practice photos of yourselves from different angles so you keep your hair and beard properly trimmed before the shoot. But overall it was very worth it and I am a happy customer!

I was struggling with online dating and not getting many quality matches on the dating apps. With a quick google search I came across the Match Artist and I spoke with Nate and Michael my photographer for the shoot. The shoot was planned out and there was a guide on where we would shoot and what not. Michael helped me with the facial expressions, getting the angles, and helping understand what makes a good photo. Talk about the smoothest experience that I have come across. Mike Schmidt completed my photos for me, I did the standard session, and we got some awesome pictures at a bowling alley, driving range, fishing, and then some around my familys farm. Got my pictures back within a week, Im going to upload these photos to my dating profiles and also my Instagram, I cant wait to see how the pictures do on my dating profile. I got this service a couple months back and I can honestly say it didnt improve any of my matches. Didnt go on any dates or had any better luck for online dating. I wouldnt even consider myself a bad looking dude. Simply put I dont think the majority of women out there are buying what Im selling and I dont think great photos really changed that. Online dating is just brutal for the majority of men. I struggle to get matches and conversation and I still struggle even after the fact. The service itself was fine and I got some great pictures. Shiloh, my photographer was friendly and was professional in the shoot. He flew out to where I lived and did a shoot based on my personality. In theory I think its a great service and I think for a lot of guys this will help them. I got nothing against the service itself as I think its needed. It just didnt work for me.

It s been 6 months since I got pictures taken by Nick and co. Honestly, it s been a massive disappointment. I did get matches, sure, but no dates. I didn t leave an empty bio or have abysmal openers/conversations, but women just weren t plain interested in me and wouldn t initiate or continue the conversations. I had to carry the conversations 100% of the time. I m not blessed in the looks department up in the face area, despite being a muscular dude. Women from the likes of Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, etc. just didn t want to hang out, go on dates, or whatever else you can think of. Online dating is brutal. The 1-star review from another reviewer is kind of true: new photos won t make up for a guy who has no hobbies or just isn t a good-looking dude. But, I will attest that, if you had gotten 0 likes/matches before, Nick s photos do help, but they aren t transformational in getting you 100s of likes/matches unless you were already good-looking and engaged in interesting activities that can be captured exquisitely with professional photography (also, don t forget good clothing and fashion sense). Just something to keep in mind. That said, if you re not happy with the service in the end, Nick does make amends with you and is willing to help figure out a solution up to and including a refund. Just be upfront and straightforward with him. He s a very nice man and a good person to work with, and so are his coworkers.

Im extremely impressed with the Match Artist. This is actually my first time ever writing any type of online review. I initially talked to Nate who was very passionate and knowledgeable about this very specific type of photography. He answered all my questions and booked me with Mike. Ive been awkward and non photogenic in pictures for as long as I can remember. Dreaded any type of picture day and any situation where someone would break out a phone and want to take pictures. Mike found a way to bring out looks from me that I didnt know were possible. I couldnt believe I was the person in these pictures. Artist is exactly what he is. The photo shoot was also really fun. Im still recovering from a break up and it was just nice hanging out and having fun with Mike throughout the shoot. He also met some of my family members and was very respectful and charming. They want to see him again lol. This photo shoot is a highlight in my life that Ill never forget. I have a new excitement for the future that I havent actually ever felt before. I was hesitant to invest in what I thought were glorified glamour shots, and worried that the results would be a little cheesy... but I was also fed up with hours of mediocre results with my mirror selfies and cropped group photos. The experience was great. I was intimidated going into it but that was immediately alleviated. They did a great job of making me relaxed, comfortable, and confident. And the results... WOW! Way more matches and likes, but the increase in the follow-through rate was the noticeable difference. No more expired Bumble matches waiting for that first outreach!

Being a typical guy, I never have photos just randomly taken of me and it had been a long time since I had been on a dating app so needed recent pics. I met with Nick over the course of the afternoon and had a great time and it was a great experience. We went to about 6 locations so I had plenty of variety and I actually did have several girls that I met over the subsequent months tell me my pictures were great. My girlfriend now specifically mentioned two that made her swipe right on me and we ve been happily dating for about a year! If you follow the 80/20 rule when it comes to online dating, my take is that if you just focus on having great pictures, you ll get the max performance online. Before pictures: -Spent ~2hrs a day on dating apps trying to get dates -Met up with ~2 girls a year via dating apps (over 4 years), and I d try to settle for whatever I could get After pictures (after 1 year): -Spent ~30min a day (unless I was dating someone) -Met 15+ girls in one year and had 2 long term relationships with girls way above my normal standard -I now have the feeling that I have more choice in my future partner -No longer had to spend time figuring out if I was doing something wrong on my profile. I knew I had the best possible profile I could have, so I could move on with my life outside of dating. -Headshots also improved my online presence for my professional life (more people started reaching out to me via LinkedIn)

The owner is a nice guy, but to be honest this is a waste of money. I paid $2000 for photos and 6 months later I still haven t been on a single date. If women are not interested in you, new pictures are not going to help, save your money.

Match Artist has a great niche for helping out dudes in a competitive dating market where most dating app users are men. To optimize your profiles and put your best look out there you HAVE to have great photos. Nick does a great job coaching even before he shows up for the shoot. He legit wants the best results for his clients and not only is a real pro, hes a real bro! The matches Ive had on IG, Hinge and Bumble have significantly improved and although Ive got great bios/promps its got 0% to do with it because even chicks focus on the pics. I ll talk results and the photo shoot itself. Results: I went from having no luck on these apps, and I mean NO luck - maybe 1-2 likes a week from people I would never date, to having a queue full of beautiful women that I d have eaten my leg off for a chance with in what I now refer to as the dark times . I literally can not keep up with the number of conversations I have going with fantastic women, one of whom I m VERY excited to continue spending time with. The Photo Shoot: It was way more fun than I expected. Yes, at first you have to get used to being in front of the camera, but Nick and Eli were so cool that it was like hanging out with my own friends. We chilled, talked about random stuff, and dare I say bonded. If I could give this 100 stars I would. Worth every penny, without a doubt. And if you re on the fence look at it like this: it s cheaper than however many more years of bad dates with people that aren t your ideal match would be. Do it.

They give you model coaching to bring out your best angles and expressions, and really inspire you to think about what makes you attractive in the process. I originally thought of giving only 4 stars, because a lot of the planning of what to bring to the shoot was left to me after the initial consultation, but the skill of the photographer and the direction he was able to give makes this a 5 star business. I was hesitant to pull the trigger on this one. But less than an hour into my shoot with Nate, I was positive I made the right decision. He was extremely professional and attentive, and customized a photo shoot that not only made me look great, but brought out my personality. We got pics at my rock climbing gym, my favorite bar, and with one of my electronics projects. I couldnt be more thrilled with the results! The pictures gave me a massive confidence boost. Im really happy with the photos that Nick took, and the process was actually pretty fun as well. I was looking to try dating apps but had few recent photos of myself and none of them were really suitable for dating (Im assuming most guys are in the same boat). We covered a ton of ground throughout the shoot and ended up with a nice variety of photos, but it never really felt like we were rushing. Nick did a great job of making it fun as well - it was very casual and we stopped here and there to grab a beer or just shoot the breeze a bit. He was also good about staying lowkey; I thought for sure Id catch grief from at least one bystander about having my photos taken, but it never happened. Anyways, it feels great to finally have photos of yourself that you actually like. Im glad I wont have to be the guy using embarrassing selfies or cropped Facebook photos, lol. Get it done right, and youll be happy with the results.

Nick shot my dating photos and it was a big success. My matches, likes, and response rates increased exponentially. He helped me with wardrobe selection, planned the locations, and edited the pictures to make them look even better. I now realize I was wasting my time before getting professional photos done for the apps. This is well worth it.
