This law firm is absolutely phenomenal and flawless everything was completed for my non-contested divorce relatively quickly. Within weeks we had a final divorce decree drafted and ready to sign. I was very shocked at how fast things went & how tentative, respectful, diligent.. Yvonne , she is so caring and really showed A heartfelt interest not only in the case but my well-being. This law firm is ran by woman not only who is strong and dedicated to what she do however who is full of compassion and kindness. Let me start by saying that its been an incredibly amazing experience working with Yvonne and her staff! She came highly recommended and with the first consultation, she allayed all my concerns and fears about going through the divorce(it involved 3 children). One phrase she said often that stuck with me was ,Im working for you so tell me what outcome you want. Every step of the way, she pointed out things I was clueless about, presented all options and scenarios and gave me recommendations and possible outcomes. That gave me a lot of confidence and made the process so much more peaceful than I ever thought. Shes very thorough too! And understanding too. You will always know shes not taking another job rather, shes in partnership with you to help you get your life back and make your future easier. Regarding her staff, everyone I had the opportunity of interacting with was professional and courteous. Divorce is never pleasant but the process can be. Ms. Kafor represented my boss Sharoon Shahzad throughout his divorce. During this process Ms. Kafor has been amazing. She was always very responsive and unlike most attorneys whos offices take 24 hours to get back to you when you have a simple question, she made herself available to us at all hours, day and night, and we received a response back from her personally within 10-15 minutes of leaving her a message. We didnt have to deal with calling her office or assistant, Ms. Kafor handled the case throughout its entirety herself. She was very professional, personable and was able to wrap the case up very quickly. Would highly recommend her for your legal needs as she is outstanding at what she does. To make a long story short I was working with two previous attorneys who did a terrible job, I was to pay a lot more in child support than I should, I owed a year of child support that I could not pay and I was on my to jail for not paying. I ran out of money, I had no attorney, I tried to defend myself but I was digging myself into a deeper hole. At this point, I knew I needed an attorney to help me defend myself, and luckily I came across Mrs. Kafor. In our first meeting, I can tell a big difference from the other attornies I hired, she was professional, on time, she listened, she understood my case, and she told me what she could and could not do. But most of all I felt that I could trust her and she was not just taking my money. Mrs. Kafor knows her business, she knows the law and she knew what she could do. By the end of my case, I did not have to pay the past year of child support, my child support was reduced from $800 a month to $250 a month and I see my children five days of the week. Even though there are no winners in a divorce, I felt that I won this case and I have Mrs. Kafor to thank. In todays world, it is very difficult to come across a person who is professional at what they do, who know their job very well, who keeps their word, who is honest and has complete integrity. If you can find a better lawyer to represent you, please do. Mrs Yvonne Kafor is very friendly but dishonest person. I went to her office after reading the positive reviews but didnt get the service I expected. She subed out my case to other attorneys and everything about my case was mishandled. In one occasion, I was at the municipal courts and another attorney (Not Mrs Yvonne Kafor) appeared 15 minutes late. The judge refused to hear the case and it was rescheduled. This happened more than once until my d.l.was suspended. Why take the case of your not going to handle it or perform the service yourself. She should be removed from practice. I should have reported her to the legal board.

If you ask for a restraining order she wont move to get it quickly and if youre spouse is harrasing you she wont enforce legal action if the restraining order is brokeny spouse broke restraining order 7 times and nothing was done dont deal with this lawyer

They are just useless .I hired her and later I realized I had to pay same amount which municipal court asked me to do for ticket. She didnt reduce the ticket amount by single $.I still need to do deferred disposition and pay for that .Top of that I had to pay lawyer.I would recommend directly work with court.
