Gorgeous park. Great for picnics, running, playing, little and big kids, lots of picnic tables, trees,a playground and a portapotties. The updated playground is fantastic if you have kids who love to climb. But the new picnic tables in the pavilion are so rough, my kids got 7 splinters almost immediately, so be careful of those

It has nice trails in the woods and some good low growth vegetation to conceal hookups for a few minutes. Days are going be a little troublesome for heavy play due to the many people that utilize all the areas in the park. Evening and night time is a good time to come by and get action. Playground: Same as White Rock lake Toilets: Same Dog-friendliness: Same Picnic area: Same as White Rock lake Park but much more recent builds and has an amazing amphitheater with great seating on the hill and stage views of most the areas outside of the perimeter fence.

This park stretches out for miles. Its plenty of sitting areas. There place to BBQ as well. Its quiet and well maintained. Playground: Very nice stem friendly park. It can keep the children entertained for hours. Toilets: Port-a-potty Dog-friendliness: Lots of space for dogs to run and play. Picnic area: Lots of great space to sit out and enjoy the park. There is a covered picnic area. Also there are picnic tables scattered around the park.

Nice park, especially since it has been updated with paths that lead from the bottom to the top and vice versa. However, the stairs that lead up to the actual flag are still under construction. There is a big playground at the top, with a covered pavilion and plenty of picnic tables for families. Definitely a good place for families with young children. You can pick up a long trail at the bottom of the hill to walk, run or ride bicycles. You can go on for miles and miles. Plenty of shade under the pretty trees, good for a family picnic! Playground: Nice playground for kids! Picnic area: Covered pavilion is available, lots of picnic tables.

Flag Pole Hill has been a favorite Dallas spot since Ive been a little kid flying kites. The kid playground is nice and usually busy. The hillside itself is probably the best view in Dallas. Im not excited about the parking expansion, which seems unnecessary. But the new paved paths up and down the sides of the hill are fun to bike on, though probably too narrow for skateboarding.

Great little playground area, it would be nice if they could extend because its ALWAYS crowded! Its soft turf to minimize injuries. My grand loves it here and theres a huge area to venture out and explore or walk your fur baby, theres picnics areas, bbq pits..just a really nice park. There is construction in the area, the only drawback was no restrooms, they had portal pottys.

Park is great, but Octoberfest event is awful. 1 hour wait for any food. Awfully planned. Not enough food vendors and the ones that are there seem clueless as to how to serve an event like this. Extremely expensive. Eat beforehand or avoid at all cost. Food lines were all so slow everyone left the lines and just drank alcohol which is just not safe. I personally tried to get food 4 times and gave up each time. I will never attend again as it was just as awful the last time i went. But here is my advice....Spread out these poor food vendors and get 5x more of them. Make a food truck section. Food is practically not available at this event due to poor planning, so peoples safety depends on this. Get more generators to support spreading them put (or put in permanent hook ups). Have one or two volunteers help expedite lines. Rent stanchions and put ropes in front of every popular food vendor. Have a few quick serve vendors that have pre made food (existing vendors were serving at a pace if about 10 minutes an order which is crazy). Peoples safety depends on you getting better at this.
