I asked the bartender to put our order on mine and she still split it. I asked for a large to go bin and she brings a small one. Then with an attitude when I said it wasn t all gonna fit she brings all the sizes. Then she calls me a cougar after my friend kept telling me to inquire about the guy at the end of the bar. I left and forgot my freaking food in the process. Your idea to insult a customer before cashing out your tip was stupid. Reduced.

Daniel is a wonderful server (sole reason for extra star). It is not his fault that this place seems to intentionally serve the worst Tex Mex in the state. Readers may find that to be hyperbolic, but this food warrants hyperbole. The shrimp cocktail was served with frozen shrimp not just shrimp that had been frozen but shrimp that were in fact frozen. The queso was a half-softened brick of lukewarm Velveeta. It was a graveyard of half-broken chips, not nearly strong enough to carve the into the solid cheese. While I ordered the tortilla soup, I cannot say I ate it because it was more like gnawing on that leather-like, overcooked chicken. The broth left an awful taste in my mouth that lasted for hours. I am no foodie and not a picky eater, but the food at this location was so bad, I imagined either (1) a saboteur had invaded the kitchen or (2) some reality show was filming some sort of prank showing our reaction. Sincerely, how could a Tex-Mex restaurant put out this food? I don t want to speculate on the cause, but the effects were obvious, even for me. I hope this review encourages the restaurant to do a little quality control so that it may be successful in the future. Daniel and the other folks who work there seem like really nice folks. I d hate for them to pay for bad management. I don t know if this is the same family of restaurant as Los Cucos in Kingwood, but the Kingwood location is awesome every single time I go. I just don t think I ll return when going to College Station.

Our Los Cucos (249 near Tomball) burned down Summer 2023 and is still being rebuilt. We went to College Station to get away from Hurricane Beryl and glad to see this Los Cucos is still here, as it was the first one we ate at in 2000. We started with two margaritas which were cold and refreshing. For our main course we had fajitas Los Cucos (chicken). Just as tasty as we remembered. Hope our Los Cucos will open soon so we can get our weekly fix. Thanks for a great meal!

We visited Los Cucos on a trip from Rockwall,Tx. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our waiter was a young man who gave top notch service. He memorized our entire order and we were a party of 10! The food was all so flavorful and delicious. The chips and salsa were excellent and had a wonderful roasted flavor. We will definitely be back if in the area.

We went on a Friday night after attending a Texas A&M softball game. They had a really fun DJ playing music in the building that made for a great atmosphere while not being so loud to where you couldnt have an easy conversation at your table. I ordered their chicken quesadillas and they were fantastic. The service staff was very attentive and friendly as well. Definitely would recommend this location.

Very rarely received a complete and correct order from Los Cucos. The food tasted okay, but something from the order was nearly invariably left out or an ingredient selection ignored, substituted with an allergy. More than once I would show up at the correct time only to find that they had forgotten about the order and would have to bring out the manager, who would then head to the kitchen and throw something together. Ordered soft tacos with rice and beans, and what the manager handed me was a metal kitchen pan containing a pile of taco ingredients mixed with vegetables from some kind of stew, one of two tortillas being soggy, and no beans. Maybe they are better dining in and the atmosphere seems nice, but just in my experience there are better mexican restaurants in the area.

We have been regular customers since you opened the doors , 20 plus years ago. Adrian D. has been our waiter that many years. We do not go on his days off. The food has never disappointed us nor the service. He knows what we always order. We also celebrate special occasions there. But , here lately every time we go and ask for Adrian s table they want to divert us to another waiter. There are many other Mexican restaurants in this town. We go to Los Cucos because of the relationship we have with our server. We understand they try to spread business around with other servers but we prefer not to be directed to another table even when if we have to wait for Adrian. I went on a Tuesday night and was greeted with karaoke and an all day happy hour. If u are looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner this may not be the place for you. If you wanna drink margs and have an interesting night than I would definitely recommend this place. (The days without all day happy hour are probably more relaxed if I had to guess.) The food was good and the margs seemed to be pretty strong! The experience I got was definitely not what I was expecting, but it was all the greater for it.

Our softball team team went to Los Cucos for team dinner while we were in town for a tournament. They were able to accommodate our large party (approximately 40 people) and didnt skip a beat. We love Los Cucos and have eaten there often, with excellent food and service. Until tonight. The DJ was so loud you couldnt talk at the table and the waitress couldnt hear to take our order. They were way under staffed for Cinco de Mayo, which still doesnt excuse our waitress only coming to the table if someone in our party waved her down. I wont hold this experience against them, but they definitely should have planned better. Ive reviewed them before with 4-5 stars so those was hopefully a one time issue. Used Door Dash to deliver order (which was also very disappointing) I specifically requested NO ONIONS and NO PICO. The beef enchilada was loaded with onions and pico was added on the salad with the cheese enchilada. They also did not pack any utensils or napkins. I gave two stars because the cheese enchilada was delicious! I just wish they would have followed instructions or notified me so I could change my order. Its a fairly standard Tex-Mex place. Not bad at all, and it has been there forever so theyre doing something right, but it doesnt really stand out in any way. Its fine. Nice staff, ok food, just not amazing.

They charged me $33 dollars for a meal that was not delicious in my taste, only the rich ones and those who like that type of food, I didnt like it, but the staff is very nice, especially the manager.
