I love this place!!!!! Atmosphere is grown and sexy. People usually dress casual, a few dress up a bit. Ive never seen fights, etc The waitresses are very kind and attentive. The band is great!!! The music is very good. Between breaks, the DJ plays awesome RNB music. BYOB. Theres a $15.00 cover at the door. Food is allowed. They dont serve food there. **You can reserve tables on Fridays at no charge** Saturdays are their busiest nights! Its a cool vibe! Go!!

No food at this spot but there is a Hendersons Chicken across the street that you can order and bring inside. This is a staple spot to go to if you are new to Dallas. Just put your blinders on and walk in the door. You will have a down home good time with the regulars.

I truly enjoyed this place. It was my first time visiting, but it wont be my last. The people that were dancing and having a great time were an enjoyment to watch. The DJ played all of the right songs.....And the LIVE entertainment was OUTSTANDING!! I plan on definitely returning soon.

This place is dirty and filthy. The chairs are drenched with dirt, the table cloths look like they have never been washed, this is a shame. The owner should be a shame, and we all should require more of our black business. If it was in a white area it wouldn t look this way, because they would require more. Please let s do better. Because we are in the hood don t mean we have to be hoodish.

Great place to gave a party. Servers were nice and attentive. Atmosphere was pleasant and enjoyable. Its always a good place for laughs! Only drawback was there no electrical outlets to plug in crock pots and buffet Servers. Luckily someone had a 20 ft extension cord in their trunk. Parking: Extra parking across the street

Was in the Dallas area and wanted something to do, this place was one of several recommended by friends. Before going we attended a comedy show at another location about 30 mins away...And ALMOST didnt go to RLs! Anyhoo...Glad we did!!! RLs is located near where the fair is held and has free parking!!! Please tip the gentleman in the parking lot. This is not a high brow location or environment, but it is comfortable and felt safe. The BAND..THE BAND..THE BAND...AMAZING. The men on horns and the bass guitarist are great musicians/singers. All the musicians were amazing. They also feature a gentleman who tries to do Teddy, he has the sound, but he falls waaaay short on lyrics and execution, still entertaining (Im somewhat a lyrics snob...No apologies...If you are going to do it, do it right.). The vibe was great, there were folks of several age and ethnic groups and the dance floor was generally full. $10 cover, beer, wine coolers &and I believe frozen margaritas...everything is cash only. BYOB and snacks!!! Did I mention THE BAND!!!! If you like good music and a honky-tonk/juke joint vibe add this place to your to-do list, you wont be disappointed.

Let me tell ya something!!! This is what you call BLUES!!! My husband and I came to Dallas ( 2 1/2 hr drive) to hang out and celebrate our 14year Anniversary. This was a Funky Good time!!! I wish I would have called ahead to get a table! This place was packed with my GROWN folks!!! And I love it! THE BAND rocked the house !! I was singing like i was part of the band Ladies I DO NOT recommend wearing heels! Because you will dance the night away!! My poor feet. And the parking lot with Food and Good people hanging out!!! My family and I always have a grand ole time when we come here. Never a dull moment. You can bring your own liquor and food. We had a party this past weekend and the manager Im not sure of her name but she had a bad blonde weave/wig and bad attitude announced the day of the event that if everyone was not at your party the tables could not be reserved. Mind you I had a party of 25 people coming from out of town and arrived to have no table or seat. She said you are supposed to receive a confirmation that explains all this to you but we never received it. I hope she looses all her dame edges. This is the only reason I gave the 1 star. She purposely started sitting people at our tables because she saw we were upset. They need to expand that dame place and clean the womens restroom up.

I absolutely had a great time at this spot. It is small n very crowded but the music, people and the atmosphere make for an amazing time. Its BYOB, liquor only and they sell you the set up of mixers. They also sell beer, frozen drinks and you can buy a bottle of wine for $8. The parking situation is a little sketchy but thats a whole new post. lol Go on a Saturday to experience the hen call. Afterwards grab some bbq at one of the trucks parked outside.

You have not lived yet until youve experienced RLs. Omg...there is nothing like it. The Husband and I were in town on business. We live in Houston. I ran into a lady in a store and told her we were looking for a good spot to chill, dance and let loose, with an older crowd and good music! She told me to try RLs and I am SO GLAD we did! Its an older, unassuming building and it goes down in the inside! There had to be about 15 different parties going on. The band was AWESOME! Everyone is friendly and just down home good local folks, enjoying themselves. Its BYOB. We are planning another weekend trip soon...this time for leisure and with the main objective being another good time at RLs! GO-GO-GO! I promise you will not be disappointed! Leave your worries behind and get your happy back at RLs!

Pricing Onsite parking is $5. $10 entrance fee. Its a BYOB . There set-ups are $12 for a bowl of ice an 3 sm cans of juice. The waitresses come by often, often trying to get u to buy more. They also serve daiquiris and margaritas incase u dont bring liquor. You may bring hard liquor only. Waitresses were very attentive with great customer service. OVERALL: Everyone we met from the parking attendant to the door lady taking the money to Security, waitresses. Everyone was so hospitable. This is a nice size hole in the wall. We went on Friday. They had a live band. The man seem to be 60 and up sitting on stools but when I tell you they can play those instruments and sing. They were great, u wont be disappointed. This spot is for the older and mature crowd. If you dont like old school, blues, r&b this isnt the place for you. Its located down the street from Fair Park state fair grounds. Its an old building, bathrooms are ok. I was informed by regular that the owner and his son sung at one point, they both were great. You wont be disappointed. Great music, great people, everyone just having a good time like back in the day. Im not a clubber but if I was, this would definitely be my spot.
