I visited for lunch on a Saturday. Upon arriving at the host stand, I greeted the host with a smile and a simple hi. Unfortunately, she was quite rude, dismissive, and avoided eye contact entirely. I matched her energy in return but decided to move on from the encounter once I was seated. Thankfully, my server was excellent very attentive, even bringing water and a treat for my pup. The atmosphere here is calmer and less chaotic compared to the Ice House, which I appreciated. As for the food, it was just okay not great, not bad, just mid. The Bloody Mary was decent, and I was offered a free drink by the bartender, an iced sangria mix that turned out to be really good. Will I return? Probably not. This spot was on my list to try, and now I can cross it off. A suggestion for management: Ensure your hostesses understand theyre in the hospitality business especially in Dallas where service really counts.

Absolutely loved everything we got to eat! The portions were huge and very filling. Loved the fish tacos. Guacamole was fresh and delicious. The chips had the perfect blend of seasoning. It was unlike any other type of seasoning Ive ever had. The ranch water was perfect, and the margarita was hands down were the best Ive ever had. I loved that it was along walking path, And the outdoor eating area has great ambience. Looks like there is a set up for outdoor music and its dog friendly. Mikaela was our server and she was so friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Will definitely come back next time we come to Dallas! Parking: Tons of spots, huge garage attached to restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Lots of open outdoor space

Tequila Social is hands down one of the best new spots, and one of my favorites, in Dallas. From the first day they opened about a year-ish ago, I ve felt extremely welcomed. The whole staff truly made me feel welcomed, and their energy added an extra touch to an already amazing experience. The food was incredible authentic Mexican and the drinks were perfect. But honestly, the biggest standout and most influential part of the experience for me was how Olivia and Jade both went well above and beyond to ensure everything was just right for both myself and my two dogs (Douglas and Beans), on every single visit. Their professionalism , welcoming energy, and genuine care ultimately drove me to write this review and couldn t be more grateful for their exceptional service. If youre looking for great food, phenomenal drinks, and an unbeatable experience on the Katy Trail, Tequila Social is it. Thanks y all!

We were visiting from out of town. Did a quick search and this was close and looked nice. We arrived and the hostess acted like she was so bothered we were there. The music was so loud she had to ask us three times how many were in our party. The server outside seemed as if she could care less we were there. She was very late to even come greet us and get our order. Our food was brought my someone else and she never checked on us once. Came over and brought the check and then waited another 10 minutes to come pick up our card. As a business owner, this is some of the worst customer service I ve experienced.

9/14/24 1:00pm I have always appreciated the convenience of the entrance off the Katy Trail. After completing a long-distance run, I decided to stop outside the entrance to inquire if the establishment allows dogs, as I was planning to bring mine along with some friends to watch a football game. At the gate, a security guard was present. Without entering, I politely asked the hostess my question for future reference. However, the security guard, in an unnecessarily confrontational tone, demanded that I put on a shirt. While I fully understand the need for appropriate attire for patrons entering the venue, I found the guards tone and behavior unwarranted and unprofessional, especially given that I was simply seeking information and had no intention of entering at that moment. Its unclear whether this individual is employed directly by the restaurant or through a third-party service, but having worked for over 20 years in customer service, the service industry, and providing executive services to high-level individuals, I can confidently say this employee could benefit from some coaching and training on proper customer interaction. This establishment is not a nightclub, and the interaction occurred around 1 p.m. in the afternoon. I was clearly sober, and the behavior seemed disproportionate to the situation. Overall, the unnecessary conduct of the security guard was disappointing, especially given the excitement surrounding this new restaurant on the Katy Trail. If I were the business owner, I would be deeply concerned to learn that this is how my security staff interacts with potential customers.

Honestly very disappointed with the service. Love the drinks and food though. Story time - we sat at our table and couldn t see each other past the umbrella so we open it up. The manager (I think) came up to us and in an extremely condescending tone said do you really need to put the umbrella up when there s no sun out. Could ve said that so much nicer. Additionally, I am allergic to tomatoes and avocado and asked for none on my tacos. They came with both on which is totally okay but when I asked for it to be returned, the girl was very rude about it. And when they brought me my food back out, it had tomatoes on it AGAIN. Lastly, one of my friends never even got her food. Wanna reiterate - all of these problems would be completely fine if the workers were nicer but they were extremely rude about everything.

Many open tables when we arrived but we were told there was an hour wait. Waited at the bar where the service was great and our bartender was very attentive. Got sat after 45 minutes and waited another 20 for someone to come and take our order. We re already upset with the experience so asked for chips and queso and our check which took another 20 minutes. Seems like everyone else was having similar experiences because we heard the manager (I m assuming, brunette woman with glasses) talking to the table next to us where they complained about the service. Then overheard the manager talking to another server to not go to their table for a while since they complained. If I ever come back it will only be to sit at the bar.

Liv and Jen are the best servers you will ever have. They go above and beyond to take care of their tables. There was a huge bug and as a group of gals we got scared and Jen came running over and got rid of it! Liv remembered us from only seeing her once before (months prior) and said hello even when she was not assigned to us. These girls are just the best! In Dallas, the food pretty much everywhere is good but the service we get here keeps us coming back. They also provided us with great recommendations on the menu that have become our staple orders. The blood orange coconut drink is delicious and the brisket quesadillas go quickly at our table! Really love these girls and this gem on Katy Trail!

*UPDATE* A bartender working there was kind enough to give a cup of ice water to a disabled women who was unable to reach the water fountain from her wheelchair, they also let her to sit at one of the tables outside even though she wasn t going to order anything. Had to come back & give credit where it s due and boost my rating due to the kindness of the workers here. Very disappointed in my experience. Dined in on a Tuesday night and were seated immediately. We were first greeted with a basket of chips, half of which were completely broken into tiny crumbs. We then ordered the brisket nachos as an appetizer and also ordered our entrees right away. We then proceeded to wait 20+ minutes for just the nachos to arrive. The nachos had about 4 chips worth of brisket total and were very underwhelming. Then we had to wait for our entrees. Two of my buddies ordered enchiladas, which came about another 20 minutes after the nachos My other buddy & I had both ordered quesadillas which were not brought out with the rest of the food. 15 minutes later, our waitress came and asked if we got all our food. Obviously, we told her we were still waiting for our quesadillas. They ended up coming 10 more minutes later, after my friends had already finished their meals. The enchiladas & quesadillas were mediocre, definitely not worth the wait. Our waitress was alright, not sure what went wrong with the delay - whether it was the kitchen or some miscommunication. Considering we visited while they weren t that busy on a Tuesday, this was unacceptable. Overall, I would not recommend dining here, at least until they figure out these issues. I will not be dining here again any time soon.

We stopped at tequila social while on a Katy Trail walk. I was skeptical given the 3.6 star rating, but, let me tell you, this place rocks. The atmosphere, food, and service were all so great. We had Lucy, and she was such a phenomenal waitress with perfect recommendations and consistent, attentive, and friendly service. We had drinks (skinny marg, trail rider loma, and ranch water), chips, and the watermelon salad. Everything exceeded expectations even the chips and salsa, which were far more flavorful than any Mexican restaurant I ve been to in Dallas. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service. We had such a great time will definitely be back! Wouldn t change a thing.

Our food came out sporadically, and half the table were done before the others even received their orders. We tried to wait but the food was getting cold. The food was good and the drinks can be dangerous if you dont pay attention. Those margaritas go down way too easy. All in all, I think well come back now that we know what to expect. Cheers!

We headed to Tequila Social for lunch at the tail end of our Katy Trail walk. At first, it seemed like a really nice al fresco venue with a live musician preparing his afternoon set. Unfortunately, we were greeted by our server who obviously did not want to be at work nor be serving us. He didnt even try to pretend to smile or be welcoming rather his demeanor from the very start was very sour. I honestly have no idea if there was a reason for him to be acting this way, as we were seated by a hostess as normal and didnt do anything to merit this rudeness. After receiving our first round of cocktails and getting ready to order food, one of us asked if he had any recommendations. He just sighed and said, Anything. Thats when we decided to just leave after finishing our drinks. The only silver lining was that we were in and out in flash and had a great lunch in Deep Ellum instead.

I recently dined at Tequila Social, and it was a pleasant experience. The food was really good, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. They even gave us some free chips and salsa to munch on, which added to the enjoyment. For vegetarians like me, there were plenty of options to choose from. The waiter was super helpful and mentioned that they could swap out meat for extra veggies in almost any dish. I decided to try their vegetable quesadilla, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The only minor issue I might mention is that the tortillas in some dishes seemed a bit oily. However, it didnt overshadow the overall enjoyment of the meal. One thing I really liked about the restaurant is its location near the Katy Trail. Its a beautiful spot, and you can take a leisurely walk before or after your meal, which adds to the whole experience. In summary, Tequila Social is a great place to eat with tasty food, a laid-back vibe, and a lovely setting.

Came here twice and I m surprised by the less than 5 star reviews! 1st visit: Greeted and served my a calm, quick and effects server. Food was great plus it was happy hour! Win-win 2nd visit : wanted a quick lunch and preferred to sit outside. The heaters were not on, but the hostess (Shelly), Jennifer and the manager Jeremy went above and beyond by turning on the heaters for me. 10/10 Definitely recommend!

This place looks like a really great time. The only problem is if you don t have anybody who has already been there, and the sun has already gone down its literally unfindable. I spent way too much time driving in circles trying to find the entrance. There is just not enough signs to guide you to the entrance. Especially when it s dark.

Brittany and the rest of the Tequila Social crew are always welcoming to the Thursday night social running club, Pint Striders, that meets at TS before running the Katy Trail. Jordan is great about keeping chips and salsa filled (love the TS salsa, its a perfect combo of smoky hot texture) - Live music starting at 7pm on Thursdays all w the backdrop of the relaxing best people watching in Dallas called the Katy Trail equals a near guaranteed perfect afternoon and evening spent. Beer and Bev list is pretty solid. Have not had a miss yet on food. All good. All worth it.

Food was great and service was great! The real star of the show is Brittney, the manager. My card slipped out of the little clipboard when handing it to the server, and we couldn t find it. She came out with a flashlight (the server as well) to look. When we couldn t find it, she comped my margarita and said she would follow up with me. It was no one s fault that the card dropped, but for her to comp my marg was going above and beyond. They followed up today and said they couldn t find it, but I really appreciated the effort Brittney and the staff made. Definitely will be back.

Was so excited about a new place opening on the trail, but service was so poor. We waited 2 hours for a table when we were told it would only be 15 mins. The girls at the front were rude about it, but lots of other people were in the same situation as us. At the bar, it took 30 minutes to get a drink. Add on lots of belligerent patrons not being kicked out despite yelling at other people and spilling drinks. Ended up leaving to go anywhere else. Really hoping they get things in order soon since this spot has so much potential

Tequila Social on the Katy trail in Dallas is a must-visit Mexican restaurant. We tried their chicken fajitas, queso, roasted street corn, coronarita, and a glass of Chardonnay. Let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! The chicken fajitas were juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the queso was creamy and addictive. The roasted street corn had a smoky char and was topped with just the right amount of spices. And the coronarita? Its a margarita with a mini Corona bottle upside down in it. Talk about a refreshing and fun drink! Oh, and the Chardonnay was crisp and complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, Tequila Social gets a big thumbs up from me. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere - its all top-notch. If you re on the Katy trail and Dallas, you should give this restaurant a try.

I went on a date here on Sunday at 2pm since it was a new restaurant and all the instagram pictures looked really promising. We parked in the parking garage where there was plenty of parking and the area was really well lit. The hostess was very nice and cheerful and led us to our table. However, the table as well as the chairs were extremely dirty from the previous customers, the hostess apologized before we even said anything and came back with a cloth to clean up. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come and when they did they apologized that nobody has come by yet and that they re not sure why we weren t helped yet. We ordered two appetizers as well as two drinks. The empenadas as well as a cheese dip and then a margarita and a beer A food runner came by a couple minutes later with some chips and salsa and then the drinks came. Another 15 minutes later the appetizers came. This is about when we realized this place wasn t for us. The empenadas came out cold and very underwhelming, and the cheese dip was completely solid. I thought it was a omelette for a second. I waved down our server and she said it maybe looked a little cold, but that that s how it normally looks like. I picked it up on a fork, told her that s not a dip, and promptly asked for it to be taken off our bill. We left and went to ice house instead where we had an amazing date night.

Went to Tequila Social for the first time today. The prices are super steep for what you get. I ordered chicken fajitas and they were $22 and the portion size was super small. It was embarrassing. $11 for a house margarita is insane also. I didn t order a drink because of that reason. The service and atmosphere was good.

We tried to give this place another shot. We first went when it opened and figured the food would get better. It did not. We started with what looked like Costco like Queso and decided at that point eating there wasn t going to happen again. Every meal that came out looked like it was frozen food that was heated in a microwave. So many opportunities to outshine other TexMex establishments, but instead they choose to sell the most overpriced boxed meals. Last time we ate there every plate was a miss. I wouldn t consider this place TexMex rather a Katy Trail secondary option to Ice House if you choose not to walk an extra couple of steps, with an outdoor patio, sports and decent drinks (at the very least).

Fun place for Sunday brunch, especially now that it s starting to get a little cooler. We arrived as they opened and we re seated quickly, with water, chips and salsa on the table before we got settled into our seats. Anthony was on top of getting our drink order and gave us plenty of time to make our food selections. He was knowledgeable of the menu and the pacing of our food and drinks was spot on. He was personable and quick to make sure everything met our expectations. Live music began as we were finishing up. It was good, though could be a little loud near the stage. Hopefully HHG will consider scattering Sonos-like speakers throughout the outdoor seating area to equalize the sound experience throughout. The food and drinks were appealing and delicious. Tequila Social will definitely become a weekend staple.

A great location with bad execution. The food and drinks were fine, but they continuously sat parties of 2 people at tables for 8 and made large parties wait. The logic wasn t there at all. They also have a TV at almost every table which is a great perk, but take over an hour to change the channel to a unanimously popular game because only the manager is allowed change the channel apparently, and once she comes over with her iPad to do so, she ll give you a NASTY look. Apologies for coming to your restaurant to watch college football on a Saturday.

I would not recommend going to this place, even though it looks enticing. They charged me two different tabs, at the restaurant part where they have to physically swipe your card for each tab to close. When I called FOR THE SECOND TIME they told me it happened to multiple accounts and their accounting department was informed and slammed with the amount of accounts they had to refund so it would take awhile to see the return. It s been over two weeks and I have yet to see the refund. Don t go if you don t want to be charged multiple bills :)

Its very unfortunate that this place has started out so poorly. I work in this area and really wanted to like this place because its so close to my office. However, it appears the Harwood Hospitality Group has spent too much time focusing on redesigning this place rather than focusing on a solid, finished product. This restaurant was supposed to open in Spring 2023 but was plagued with delays, likely out of their control but delays nonetheless. Now were left with a shamefully mediocre and basic TexMex joint. However they barely got that right. The food is cafeteria/hospital grade at best. There is nothing special about presentation and really its just bland. Stale red, white, blue tortilla chips that you can watch them re-fry in the deep fryer while sitting at the bar. Im sure the food tastes better after a few margaritas but for a quick lunch taco stop they really dropped the ball. It appears theyre staffed up but staff is obviously poorly trained. The bartender, Amber, was moving quick and attentive but the runners brought me the wrong tacos, then switched them with the guy next to me. I also saw the clothes line empanadas... Seriously, if a restaurant has to rely on these over done, gimmicky presentations like that instead of a tasty taco, I think we all now where this place is headed and it isnt Instagram stardom.

The drink were relatively cheap and guess what? Horrible to taste but hey they were pretty. If you want to get drunk or buzzed quick go for it. The service was great! Remember, it is not the servers fault anything served was barely consumable. Its like they saw a picture of the food and drinks and were like yeah I can make this without ever having know what it supposed to taste like. Around 85 bucks for 3 dishes and 4 drinks DURING happy hour. Like I said if aesthetic is your game go for it babes. Dietary restrictions: Lactose intolerant friendly. Parking: Free Valet.

Biking along the Katy trail is usually an iffy experience but this took it to another level. Stopped to get some water at what seemed to be a nice place with a self serve water station , cups and cold water to boot. Soon after stopping a guy comes out and asks my bf directly keep it movin Long story short we move onto the trail as he watches us and will not stop staring..I ask him if there was anything we were doing wrong and he replies angrily I told y all to keep it moving He then charges at my bf and gets in his face. My bf gets out his phone just to record that we were in fact on public property that he asked us to move onto. I guess that made the guy upset so he then grabs my bf phone and throws it directly across the trail into the densely wooded area called Thomason overlook We called the police to get the damage to the phone hopefully taken care of but he wasn t promising as far as taking care of how rude he was to us for no apparent reason.
