Food is okay especially if you re hungry. Taco Tuesday is an okay deal. It comes with a drink but you only have about 3 options and if you don t drink them you can t up charge your drink. Place is super small so no elbow room. I thought Sopes came with meat but no that s an up charge.

GET A PAPER RECEIPT. decent food, they ve managed to overcharge me everytime i go in for a quick convenient bite. i asked for no beans on my burrito and to just put them on the side cause i don t eat them but my bf wanted some on his portion (the burrito is just 3 rolled up tacos w flour tortillas, meat, onion, cilantro, and beans which i didn t recognize. don t see how that s a burrito . my fault for not paying attention to the menu) they gave me an entire container of beans, still put beans on my burrito , and charged me for it which i didn t recognize until later. i repeated myself multiple times to make sure she understood and she even repeated the order back to me and the time before that another worker charged me 2.50 for a few extra lime wedges when the menu says they re supposed to be .50 cents and the menu prices are up to date. overall just really disappointing especially because i tip well everytime i go because it s a small business. if you re gonna get here get a receipt. basically all they serve is tacos. the quesadilla is just 3 tacos with cheese on them the burrito is just 3 tacos with beans on them

So, I actually went to this place because I saw it on Texas Bucket List. I wanted to try the enchiladas with the potato and carrot topping. I have not seen many mexican restaurants making them this way. I have to say, they were pretty good. The food was cooked fresh while I waited and I watched as they cut, washed and cooked the potatos and carrots. The portion was very good and I would tell you how many enchiladas were in the plate but I did not see under all the toppings. Maybe 4 or 5. The customer service was great as well. This is a small place and there is no indoor seating so make sure you plan on taking out or eating in your car. We chose to eat in car. There are a few tables with umbrellas outside but due to the rain they were completely drenched. I would recommend trying this place out for yourself. I will go back as I am curious to try other items on the menu.

My recent dining experience at Mami Coco, the charming Mexican restaurant, left me utterly delighted and craving more. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The highlight of my visit had to be the Barbacoa, an absolute masterpiece. The tender, succulent meat practically melted in my mouth, bursting with rich, savory flavors that spoke of careful preparation and a dedication to authentic Mexican cuisine. It was, without a doubt, the best Barbacoa Ive ever had the pleasure of savoring. But Mami Coco offers more than just exceptional Barbacoa; their menu is a culinary adventure that takes your taste buds on a journey through the diverse flavors of Mexico. From the zesty salsas to the perfectly crafted tacos and enchiladas, each dish was a testament to the chefs skill and commitment to quality. The ambiance at Mami Coco adds another layer of charm to the dining experience. The décor, reminiscent of a traditional Mexican cantina, created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The attentive and friendly staff at Mami Coco ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They were eager to share their knowledge about the dishes and make recommendations based on personal preferences. In conclusion, Mami Coco is a hidden gem in the world of Mexican cuisine. If youre in search of authentic flavors, a warm atmosphere, and, of course, the most amazing Barbacoa, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. My visit was an absolute delight, and I cant wait to return to Mami Coco for another mouthwatering culinary journey.

Mami Coco in my opinion is definitely better. The service was welcoming. The guy who took our orders was so friendly, had a beautiful smile and great customer service. If you love family cooking, when you walk into this restaurant, it feels like you walked into your Mamas kitchen just waiting to eat. The horchata was delicious. I ordered one steak and chicken taco. It was well seasoned with fresh everything in it. They have both flour and corn tacos. It s small but authentic. A small family own business but the best hole in the wall spot for good tacos. They have outdoor seating and parking available. Would recommend & be back.

First time here and itll probably be our last. They have a decent menu but we opted for 3 taco Tuesday specials. The meat options are limited for this special but each special comes with a canned drink. Our order was brought out after the folks that ordered after us. Tacos were cold, each special came with a different number of lime wedges but plenty of salsa. The red salsa was super spicy, delicious nonetheless, but super spicy compared to the green salsa. The staff WAS friendly and helpful.

Realistically I d give it a 3.5. Very small place, there is seating but it is limited outdoor seating. The vibe is more of take out i would say. I ordered the chicken flautas which I will say weren t my favorite because they were a bit on the skimpier side with the chicken. They were very crunchy which was good and they definitely did not skimp out with the toppings on top. The fajita tacos were good but i wouldn t say the best or great. Definitely missing some flavor for my taste. Nothing extraordinary. The sopes I would say we re my favorite. The masa was crunchy but soft once you bit into it and it came with a generous amount of toppings. Absolutely delicious. The horchata was sooo good as was the agua de jamaica. Kinda a bummer you can t order individual items except for tacos, as everything else can only be ordered in sets of 3.

The food is so good here! The ingredients were very fresh (the cilantro looked so green and healthy, and tasted that way too) and our food came in piping hot straight off the grill. I got the quesadillas (with raw onion and cilantro in it - a welcome addition I dont see as often), which had a satisfying amount of cheese without being overbearing. Both salsas that were served with our order were delicious. Careful: the red one can be fairly hot. Dont be put off by the location - just because the City of Dallas and its historically discriminatory urban policies had neglected this part of town in earlier decades, doesnt mean you should do the same now either. Make Dallas great again (by being friends to all our neighbors)

Came here for lunch with some coworkers and oh my were we surprised with how delicious these tacos were. Its a little hole in the wall place but the family who works there is super friendly and make some amazing food! I got the lengua tacos and my coworker got al pastor. Both had great flavor, fresh tortillas and great salsas. We got the pickled onions for a little extra punch and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend for those looking for soem authentic Mexican tacos.

This place is a local gem. A absolute must have. Everything on the menu is delicious. Beware though, it can get busy and theres extremely limited seating outdoors. The indoor seating is essentially non existent.

Best Tacos we had in Texas! It was so good that we went two days in a row! Their barbacoa and lengua tacos were really good. We also enjoyed the quesadillas. Green salsa was great too! If we ever end up in Dallas again we are definitely going back!

We just had some of the best authentic tacos here in Dallas! A quaint, Frida Kahlo inspired hole in the wall. Hands down the best was the barbacoa tacos in a corn tortilla. I added guac and cheese to all of my tacos. We also ordered the chicken, shredded beef, and picadillo tacos which were also very good. This family owned Mexican taco shop is perfect if you re looking for delicious tacos without a surcharge. The owner was very nice and welcoming. He made us feel at home and explained all of the different types of meats & how they re made. We will 100% be back!

I went with three different tacos on corn tortillas and they were delicious and filling. At $1.99/taco, way better than some of the overpriced places in the area. They also have horchata. Barstool seating inside and tables set up outside.

Saw this restaurant from a review on tiktok and had to try it. My friend and I wanted to sample several things - we ordered tacos, flautas, quesadillas and sopes. The food was delicious, there s only outdoor sitting available. The green sauce is mild and the red sauce is spicer. My favorite was the chicken quesadillas and the fajita tacos. The flautas were delicious as well. It was my first time trying a sopes - but it wasn t my favorite. The food is cooked to order. I would definitely come back here again.

Okay so me and my husband had been hearing about this place too much so we were like they GOTTTAAA be good!!! I regret to inform you all THEY ARE HORRIBLE! The meat was salty and tasted boiled the chicken inside the flautas was bland I would rather have eaten a dry rice cake. Now dont get me wrong customer service was excellent, now if we could just get the food to match Sorry Mami Coco but for me its a big Mami NO-NO
