I recently worked with Mike Keller on (Dec 7th 2021) a Demand Letter for a real estate transaction to get back the earnest money, there were a few issues I noticed while working with him as the following. It seems he was too busy , delayed responses to start working on my case, therefore I went with another provider. Normally there is a 20 minute consultation for free with the client which he indicated. He ended charging me for it, since it was 1.6 hrs of his time, which he didnt even provide proper documentation of the details. He only provided a few lines on the invoice. I was expecting something more professional for the money paid out. I recall him saying he charged $300/hr over the phone and some how the rate changed to $350/hr later on. Since I already had a previous Demand Letter created, he advised to write one again from his end, not sure if that makes any sense to duplicate work already done for a fee of $750.00. His Retainer Fee was $3,000.00 which I believe is Excessive/Double compared to Bigger law firms I worked with. This is a competitive Market, he should price according to the market services.
