This is a small jazz lounge. Its nice if you enjoy live music. The drinks are atrocious but affordable, so dont let that stop you from ordering. You may get lucky and get a decent drink. They have a $10 cover charge. It gets packed, and seating is limited, so be mindful of that when visiting. If you enjoy different bands, then this place definitely deserves a visit. Ive been here quite a few times, still hoping for a good drink, though. Parking: They have quite a few spots outside of this location. There is a parking lot out front, and the other businesses around are closed, so parking is available.

Music: they have a main band (piano, bass, and drums) but will call up players on sign up sheet to play. Everyone called up was great and it was a blast with my wife!

Too crowded over crowded 10 $ covered too much for this small place you will get feet stepped on alcohol breathe in your faces bumped into too close up all on you no space to move around super loud band over loud speakers wobbly stair rails the crowd was super drunk no dress up just plain park clothes lounge around clothes 99 percent whites and the black men aint checking for black females they there hanging on the arm of a white chick I didnt enjoy this place who plays footloose at a club really the people where hype and drunk no where to sit had to stand all night one foot away from the band stage that is how we were its so tiny in there will never go again!! Wowwweee, first time here and definitely coming back to check out the other nights! (Different genres each night of the week, and I chose jazz night since I do love that best) Totally get why this is Dallas destination for live lounge music, the featured band and open mic participants were all fantastic; this lady called Heather came up to sing and her voice was divine perfect choices of classics like Bye bye blackbird and I Love You for Sentimental Reasons that were just rendered so perfect (everyone was great really, from drums, guitars to sax, keyboard and double bass, they all had their jam going on and was such a treat to be there for 2 hours with some intermissions) Thank you to our bartender Kade for being such a champ and adding more cheer to an already amazing night! Shared many laughs and got to try his kickass self-invented drink The Matador which you might get a chance to try too if you re cool enough to get a seat a the bar Ian his co-bartender was also hilarious, and we had such a great night here after dinner elsewhere. TLDR: No food at this fine establishment, but come for the laughs, drinks and music of course!

This was a great place when I went to visit on a Monday night. We got to see a great show and then it was an open mic which me and my friend sang on the mic as well. They had drink specials. Went up to the door before meeting up with some friends to check this place out. The door man says their was a cover, so my girlfriend and I decided not to go in - our friends were 10 minutes away from arriving. The door man then decides to say you probably couldnt afford anything in here anyways if you cant pay $10 - and proceeds to laugh as I am walking away. A friend took me here who lives down the street. What a gem! Great bar here!!!!!!!They literally have the best selection of liquor behind their bar, I couldn t believe it being a liquor store clerk veteran. Wow! Love this spot for live music. $10 cover is typical at the door, but so worth it. I ve been here a handful of times and the talent is always 10/10. Drinks are reasonable and if you get hungry, you can order food downstairs from the pizza restaurant. The only negative is limited seating/standing space, but if you get there early/in between breaks you ll find a spot. Highly recommend!!

This place is amazing! For the first time coming in, this place is so much fun. The vibe is immaculate, and the music is amazing!! Its an intimate an fun place. If you love good Music, The Balcony Club, is your place! Although, The Balcony Club is known for Jazz, you will find artist on their stage performing every genre of music imaginable! Like most relics of Lakewood, you have to look past some of the cosmetics, and focus on the service, cocktails, and diverse demographics. After the amazing music, The Balcony Club will also blow you away with their wonderful assortment of Craft Cocktails, and generously stocked Top Shelf bar. With all the good The Balcony Club offers, there s no reason to leave here without a smile. They do charge a small cover some nights; if that s a problem, or your taste in music is limited, you might want to call, or follow them on social media, and figure out what is your perfect Balcony Club night. This place has been on my list to visit for a while. On a Saturday night going out for good drinks, music and dancing can be exhausting getting in. My place of choice didnt have immediate access to park so since The Balcony wasnt too far away I decided to give it a try. Luckily, a parking space in front was available. The cover was $10. It was small, packed with a little elbow room, and very limited seating. Ordering drinks can be a tipsy challenge, but the bartenders are upbeat and friendly. Drinks are averaged priced and well made. Other staff, bouncer etc was very helpful and nice to. There was a band that was engaging and pretty awesome. This is a long, overdue hidden gem. **Con: NO SMALL BITES WITH ALL THE STEPS/STAIRS TO GET TO THE ENTRY CAN BE DANGEROUS FOR THE TIPSY......Dont Drink and Step.
