Terrible experience. Tickets for general admission were $20 (no complaint about price). I bought 2 tickets. After taxes & fees, I paid $46. My date and I arrived at 8:15PM. The music of Zo! and Tall Black Guy band was supposed to start at 8PM like the poster stated. They did not start until 9:21PM. We also expected BBQ to be sold all evening, but just like the band, the cooks/butchers did not show up until 9-9:15. (The taste of the food was great though) My date and I ended up leaving at 9:45 since we both had work the next day (came on a Thursday). The bartenders were nice, but everything else gave us a poor experience. I understand things happen, but the band arriving an hour and 20 minutes past the expectation was disappointing. If youre going to charge for entry, the bare minimum is the band starting on time.

The person that sets up the parties for you to obtain booths or tables does not know how to communicate. Even when I asked to call instead of text that didnt happen leading to even further miscommunication. I then loss interest and would have bought almost half of the tables and booths on the inside. This just goes to show having the correct people in place can make or break a business because the owner just loss my money and I will no longer attend this establishment again. I wish I could post our text because I would screenshot it all.

A must stop for live jazz, good soul food, and good people. The only thing I wish they would provide is security in the parking area. Sandaga is an area where transient/homeless persons are seen regularly. And ladies come to this venue in groups from 2 to 10 together of varying ages. Every time Ive gone, Ive been approached by a man asking for money. I give to people in need regularly when Im out and about, but when approached at night by a man as Im walking to my car with my lady, my focus changes from being empathic to being a protector. There is usually security at the door, but security is needed in that parking area for sure.

I m here Friday, June 29. The band is just now setting up and probably won t started until 1am. What makes the atmosphere so terrible now is all the degenerate ghetto music the DJ likes playing . The one inside and outside. I swear I heard p$$y at least 200 times and ngga at least 400 times. It s ridiculous. The raunchy degenerate hip hop doesn t fit with what this establishment is supposed to be. I won t be supporting this place anymore.

If I could give this place 50 stars I would! The interior design is BEAUTIFUL, yet cool and casual. The food was great! Drinks are a little pricey. The live entertainment and the DJ were MAGNIFICENT! Everyone was up on their feet dancing and having a great time! I wish that I could watch ALL Cowboys games here as well. A sea of BLUE! Parking: Plenty of free covered parking only a short distance from the establishment.

It was hot ceiling fan were broken, bathroom was not female friendly, sold out of food before I could get some, drinks were AMAZING, my bartender, The band was off the chain I enjoyed it totally, the front door cashier was mean it was my 1st time there and I had questions she acted like I got on her nerves, security is on point checked my purses and glasses case, reserve a table if you can 4 people $65 or just stand and watch the band, patio in the back has its own DJ , This place was packed, yes Im going again Im talking to the owners about the air and the unkept bathroom

We went to Day Party Sundress and Cigars . It was nice, they had one DJ inside and outside as well as a bartender. They also had a food truck which was great. The atmosphere was great, it was an older crowd which was perfect for us. The only thing I m questioning is there was a third spot outside that was empty and spacious I m wondering if in the future that could be an extension of the club? Other than this, the the location is medium to small in square footage so if you don t want to stand, you best make reservations early for a table. We had a great time.

Terrible!!! Purchased a ticket for entry before 4. They didnt open the doors until 3:30 and then held the line. I got to the door at 4:01 and the wouldnt honor my ticket and tried to charge $40. I can not support predatory practices. We do this to our own kind, how can we support black owned businesses when they want to bleed us dry. I will never support this establishment and I hope my fellow black people will realize and boycott until we get treated better by whom ever!!!

This venue is definitely a grown and sexy atmosphere. You can dress business casual to dressy. The live on Thursdays is always awesome. What can I say that hasnt been said about most black owned places. They tax their people to get in with a cover charge of $20. When you give them their entrance fee, they dont even say thank you. The bartenders are unfriendly and cant be bothered to greet you or just smile after youve just ordered a watered down $16 drink. Went for the live music. It seemed like it was a cool vibe. However, that quickly changed when we learned there was limited seating. We arrived at 9:30 pm (30 minutes ahead of the posted start time), and there were about 10 people inside - all seated at the bar. All the tables were empty but reserved. We ordered a drink and learned that the show was ACTUALLY going to start at 11:00 (another hour later)!! We were told that the patio out back is usually open for additional seating. However, it was cold and raining, so it was closed. Needless to say, we didnt stay long. The moral of the review is that if you dont make a reservation ahead of time, be prepared to stand the entire time!

I went to this place because my friends and I were looking for a club with a mature crowd for my bday. Money was not an issue for us, but the amount of attitude and unexpected charges in this place definitely made me say I ll never go back- lesson learned. So- when we got there they charge $20 each to get in. No problem- not a big deal I mean I would charge too if I owned a club. Okay- so once we get in we have NOWHERE to sit. All tables are reserved here in advance. I m just like okayyyy that s fine but again y all could have told us that at the door so we had a heads up. The bartender was a little attitudish but we let it slide. We go outside looking for a place that wasn t reserved and thank God we found something, but not for long.. within 30 mins they made us and everyone us that was in the NOT RESERVED spot move??? So we were left with no where to sit??? And they were rude about it with no explanation. The energy was negative, bathrooms smelled like pea, and everyone who worked there besides 1 guy at the door had an attitude. Will never come back and I ll be sure to tell people not to come here

Nice place, acoustics are great!! Band was awesome Emery V. rocked it on the Korg SV-1 Keyboard. Singer had amazing vocals.
