Was in town for a work trip. The place is very much a typical gastro pub but slightly elevated. Love in beams inside. The staff were incredibly kind and fun and had no short of food and drinks recommendations. They have a huge drink menu (great for bourbon drinkers). I like the meat board and the bourbon glazed meatballs. A great stop if youre in North Dallas.

Wonderful and very attentive staff. Greeted with smiles and kindness. The deviled eggs were so good and that smoked Pastrami sandwich is the best Ive every had. Would highly recommend lunch or dinner here. The entire place was great.

We popped by for a quick drink and appetizer and the service was amazing. The gentleman at the bar was quick, kind, and explained everything. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered the Tito s and pomegranate gimlet. She absolutely loved it. We also ordered the crispy cauliflower bites. Would definitely come back again

Have been there a few times. Each time was early evening, but different days of the week. The hummus was flavorless, and the veggies were not fresh. We also had the tuna cones, which were room temperature and fishy tasting. There were several fruit flies which we were sitting next to the bar, but either way, clean the drains, cover the drink fruit, etc. While i was disappointed in the food, the service was great and drinks were great as well. The place was near empty when we left at 8p. Albeit it was a Tuesday. Fri or Sat seem to be more of a vibe!

Rarely have I ever felt the need to leave a review for a restaurant, but the food I ate last night at this very cool establishment was out-of-this-world-good. Their chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy was hands down the best Ive ever had, and their deviled eggs were absolutely incredible. I definitely look forward to being back asap.

We only had drinks but the bartenders were lovely. Very communicative and friendly. The entrees that we saw being delivered to people around us looked amazing. And the people seemed pleased. I personally normally would not go there simply because it is out of my price range but the menu items looked creative without being so out there that youd be afraid to order. That is a fine line!

This place is overpriced and not very good. The crab cakes were more like tasteless soggy scoops in a weird lobster cream sauce that tasted nothing lobster. Steak frites $31 ordered it rare. It was way over done a small portion of frites for the price. The Brussel sprouts were good. The kitchen was backed up and the bar was slow. If my tab is $300, I expect much more!

Hands down the absolute best chicken friend steak Ive ever tried. The portion size was more than enough. I ate on it for 2 days. The bread Pudding was too die for. It put me in mind of a good hot homemade honeybuncake. I hate we live 2 hrs away, I would have came back the next day for second.. lol The only reason I didnt give a full 5, I didnt care of the deviled eggs. They werent really my liking. I give you guys a strong 4.85!!!! We will definitely be back. The atmosphere was sensual yet family oriented. Quick lunch with the kiddos or a glamed out date night, this is definitely the place to be. I didnt get a picture but trust me. You will not be disappointed

Stopped by after work to check this place out. It was very busy in the bar and patio but not so much in the dining area. The service was great and so were the cocktails. The food was just ok. The arancini were very good, the side of mac and cheese was also very nice. The crab cake was pretty bland and the prime ribeye was not good. I find it hard to believe the ribeye was prime. It was cooked well but it was very tough and lacked any marbling. I would say this place is good for the cocktails and patio but I was not impressed with the food.

This is a great place for drinks and the appetizers are really tasty. I had the ribeye chicken fried steak and the portion was excellent but the steak itself lacked seasoning, the breading lacked seasoning as well, the mashed potatoes needed a little more butter and maybe some garlic but they where nice and fluffy.

I love this place and would give it 5 stars except for the fact that tonight they only had one Cabernet by the glass to offer for $22.00 a glass! Being a Saturday night they should have had ample time to plan. And even their printed wine list shows normally only two Cabs available. Republic should do better for its wine drinkers.

I enjoyed this restaurant on a Saturday for lunch with a bunch of friends and couldnt have been more impressed and pleased by the service and food. We were a group of 8 and our server, Kerensa, was absolutely wonderful! She stayed super patient (even when we were in the middle of one of our laughing fits) and she took excellent care of us offering great recommendations for both the food and drinks. Their menu is like nothing I have ever seen with so many delicious offerings that you cant get anywhere else. We started with the dip trio which included a pimento cheese dip that the ladies raved about. Im not a pimento fan so didnt try it myself, but the look on their faces told me that if you like pimento dip, this is the way to go. We ALL decided to have the candied bacon & eggs and they were amazing! Interesting that you have to purchase them al a carte, but it was nice to just have one or two on the side of your meal which is what we opted for. Most of the ladies ordered cocktails from espresso martinis to the Kents Honey Bee and everyone was impressed. When Kerensa told me they had a key lime pie martini with graham cracker on the rim I had to make an exception and have a cocktail myself and Im so glad I did! It wasnt too sweet at all, perfectly flavored and balanced with tart and sweet, and Im glad I limited myself to one...lol. For lunch I had the BLT sliders and OMG! The spicy mayo was on POINT providing the exact level of spice that I needed. I cant wait to come back and try this place again!!

Service was good. Smoked meat tray app was fine, but not really anything close to real smoky bbq. Cauliflower app was just ok. Supposedly a great chicken fried steak, many have said best in the D. If that is the case, feel sorry for Dallas. Breading was fine, but the steak was thin and not very large. Both it and the gravy required salt. And why do you have to put the steak on top of the under-cooked (I don t mind crispy but don t like almost raw) green beans on top of the semi-ok mashed potatoes? Makes no sense to have to deconstruct your own plate. Ambiance was just ok. Patio looks out on the parking lot. For the price, really just not worth it. Would not return.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff greeted us as we came in the door. We were sat quickly and our server made knowledgeable recommendations for food and drink. Really enjoyed my night out at Republic Tavern. I have to say hands down one of the best service I have reciprocated in awhile. Kayla helped recommend my meal for the evening. The sea bass that she recommended was cooked to perfection. Fish was flaky, hot, and delicious. It was a great pairing for our drinks for the evening as well. Overall the atmosphere was good but Kayla s friendly smile and attentiveness really made the visit worth while. Will definitely be stopping in more in the future.

My friends and I wanted to get somewhere knew. This places popped up as highly rated, and it didn t disappoint. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. My friend didn t care for one of the appetizers he immediately apologized and said he would ensure it was removed from the bill. The other food was very fresh and yummy. The pork chop and service was phenomenal Update: Came back for my sons 7th birthday (hes a boujie foodie just like his mom) and the service still didnt miss. I know its not meant for kids, but my only child is well behaved so I dont worry about that. He loved his steak frites! Flying solo tonight. Hit another place Id never been before, Republic Texas Tavern. Started off with a Bulliet Rye Old Fashioned that was spot on. I narrowed the menu down to two choices. Chicken Verde or the Smoked Bone-in Duroc Pork Chop. My server, Kerensa, asked how hungry I was. I said what I dont eat, Ill take home to the kids. She then brought out this massive pork chop, and it was awesome! 2 thick, well-seasoned, served with cheddar whipped potatoes and crispy Brussels Sprouts. Too much to eat... so I brought it home to the kids. They gave it 4 thumbs up. Gotta come back. The kids expect to be there too. Thank you Abbe Mandel and The Luxury Gift Envelope for another fantastic introduction.

Get the deviled eggs! The service was great and the food is without a doubt delicious. I ordered the salmon with a pea puree, I dont even like peas but Im always willing to try new styles and flavors. So I did! The drinks were amazing. I had 2 hibiscus jalapeño martini. Best thing ever. Definitely would go back just because of that. The guest/customers however are very rude and entitled. One gentleman at a table of 3 loudly announced during his conversation that hes racist and he doesnt care what he said (obviously) while I ate my dinner at the next table. I finished my meal and went inside and watched the K-State game (they won btw). Another gentleman in a different group kept standing in my view of the television I was watching and made eye contact with me 3xs as he took a step backwards to stand in my way. I moved over about 14 inches each time 3xs btw. I moved for a 3rd time to the bar, where I originally wanted to sit, but the this gentleman had told me an hour earlier that the seat was taken but watching the seat the entire time no one sat that there. After putting up with the gentleman who kept moving in my view I asked the same gentleman at the bar if anyone was sitting there and again he states his friend is coming but had not arrived. I SAT DOWN Rosa Parks style. The friend showed up as I was signing my check to leave . This was my first visit here and I would go back solely on the restaurant. I wouldnt go back solely on the customers there that night.

Food was a bunch of new wave, super expensive items served with tiny portions. The most normal thing they serve is onion rings and fries and yes, the staff will be mad if you order food for some reason. I think part of the problem is that the staff just really does not care about your experience at all. If I could see my server, he refused to see me, and during the rare and fleeting moments he was around, he had a look on his face that read, Id rather be chatting with Dylan than serving you literally anything. At one point I had to walk to the bar, wait 6 minutes for the bartender to finish up his conversation with a patron, and ask for water myself. I dont blame the bartender for doing his job, I blame our waiter who apparently took a bet before our arrival on how long he could refuse to look in our direction. I walked in there with a group of ten people, and was surprised when they legitimately expected me to sit on an ottoman for my entire visit. I changed out the small supportless cube about twenty minutes into my stay, after my back could take no more strain. Getting down to eat on the table however would prove a challenge, as the term table in this context is generous. It was more like a row of wooden milk crates made with the scraps of wood youd find in a Home Depot discount bin. Splintered and warped and haphazardly fastened with glue with no thoughts given to its flatness, or whether or not people could or would reach down to it, considering these tables were about 1 foot and a half tall. Not even the beverages could save this bar experience as they were standard fare, except upcharged for the Atmosphere Places like this are the reason why people end their lives, the reason why good people do bad things, the reason why murder and cancer exist. It is a black hole of the very worst that humanity has to offer, and I would sooner wish to find myself in the stinky crevices of Cthulhus butt crack than return to that unending nightmare that somebody once called a bar.

Had a group and thought we would give this place a try. Got off to a rough start just trying to figure out the menu...real drink menu but QR for food...Iike to see all my choices together not on my phone. Took a while to get orders taken and even longer to get food. The orders got screwed up because of the noise and server misunderstood. They made it righted and comped the 2 orders. Food was well done everyone enjoyed. Overall was good but a bit chaotic.

This place offers a limited menu, but the options were interesting/different and appealing. Food was flavorful and satisfying, and the drinks were also good! We had a reservation at 5pm but the rest of my party had not arrived. Mind you, the place was not very busy at this time. The hostess was on the phone and did not even acknowledge me for almost 10 minutes, she then gestured to me as she stepped outside to finish what I assume was a mobile order. Aside from that, the rest of the experience was good but I dont know that Id be eager to go again, at least not so soon.

Republic is a gorgeous hidden gem that provides a genuine southern hospitality for any occasion. Whether youre out for date night or relaxing after work, Republic offers comfy lounge chairs to cozy booths. The staff are friendly, inviting and attentive. The chef is superb with the freshness and flavor of the menu (and I feel better knowing the food is locally sourced.) The best part is the bourbon selection. Very cozy atmosphere, seems like a great hangout place. The food is amazing, we also got the poblano cheese dip and it was fantastic. The chicken fried steak is tender and savory, the gravy that comes on it contains jalapeños and bacon!!!! So delicious. My friend had the Dr Pepper rib and they are fall off the bone, finger licking, good!!! Cannot wait to come back here on a more casual day vs a work lunch.

This is the epitome of a restaurant if a successful chef/restauranteur wanted to build a place next to his home. Service was attentive, kind, meticulous, and downright friendly. Food was so good, I didn t want to share. Menu extremely diverse, and adaptive to any appetite range. A place where everything is great tasting, and it s because of the thorough sourcing and meticulous preparation of the food.
