I m quite disappointed, we went to grab drinks and a hookah and waited over an hour for someone to serve us after asking SEVERAL times for service. Music was nice but after being passed many times and no one even acknowledging us, I won t be returning or recommending this establishment to anyone. I really wish we did better business as people.

This establishment is such a vibe!! The ambiance, the FOOD is on point and I can say the service is exceptional!! Our server was Brittany and she was the epitome of a server!! Attentive, friendly, thoughtful, accommodating and cute as a button!! She was the cherry on top!! Everyone was very friendly and polite!! I will be back!!!

I was super excited to try this place after seeing it on TikTok. I m very big on customer service, & I had high expectations for this place. When I walked in there were three security people at the front. I said hello and none of them said anything back. Not a good first impression. There was no host stand, so I walked to the bar and sat down. There were at least three staff standing behind the bar. No one acknowledged me. The place was pretty empty, so I was surprised I was being treated this way. After a few minutes, a bartender set a napkin down in front of me but said nothing. I asked if I could sit at a table, and he just nodded his head. I sat down at a table, and there was a server next to me, who also did not acknowledge me. I walked up to her and asked if I could sit here and she said OK let me let a server know you re here . Why do I have to ask for a server? The staff very much gave why tf is she here? vibes. Finally my server Brittany comes, and she s very nice. She s the only reason I gave this place two stars. The food was OK. My lobster mac & cheese was cold, water cost $10, and gratuities already included. I would not come back, and would not recommend this place to anybody.

The food was dope just need to lay off the salt on the greens, but I highly recommend the Chicken & Waffles they were AMAZING! The Shrimp Po Boy is HUGE & delicious & the fried green tomatoes were delightful as well with an awesome kick of spice! The Henn Dog was good & strong as I needed, the environment was gorgeous, our waitress was good but the hookah process could have been a little more on point! Wheelchair accessibility: There is floor seating but also a ramp for those that may need it to get to the step up level to dine.

I went to brunch at this spot on Saturday, and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It had a great vibe and was perfect for a relaxing weekend meal. The customer service was pretty good overall; the servers were friendly and attentive. However, I was disappointed that my chicken wings came out with a feather still on them, and the food was a bit cold when it arrived. Another thing I noticed was that on Sunday brunch, the servers were smoking hookah, which I don t think is appropriate during a brunch service. Despite those issues, it was still a great experience, and I d consider going back for the ambiance alone.

Overall, I would return to this establishment, however, I would like to provide some feedback. I truly enjoyed my food, I ordered the half baked chicken, Mac &cheese, collard greens. The greens were amazing! I tried my friends mashed potatoes and would definitely recommend those above the Mac &cheese, however it wasn t bad at all. I think my biggest complaint was the service and the below average cocktails that were overpriced. If I m paying $20 for a cocktail, I expect for it to reflect the price, which my drinks DID NOT, I was extremely disappointed in that. Along with initially we waited for over 45 minutes to get our drinks. The aesthetics of this establishment are beautiful and we enjoyed the live music.

Our reservation was at 7. We were sat at 7:10. We waited for 30 minutes just for a server to greet us. We were not even given water. The restaurant was not busy at all. Servers, bus boys, chefs and bartenders all walked past us several times. We left. Learn something from this.

Don t waste your time! I have never written a bad review, but this will be my first bc it was THAT BAD. The Good: Beautiful venue, nice clean bathrooms with photo ops, great music, sports games on for the boys The Bad: This past Saturday, we opted to celebrate my best friend s birthday at this restaurant. We had REALLY high hopes, beautiful set up and restaurant but the experience was terrible. Reservations were at 9:30pm, showed up at 9pm to make sure everything was set for my friend and was told they were already planning for a 30minute delay due to their kitchen. An hour and half later at 10:30pm they finally gave us a seat bc my husband told them we were planning to change venues. We sat, our order was taken and we waited and waited and waited. Until finally, the waitress came to share they had to cancel orders of chicken breast, po boy, and gumbo. We were told we could switch it out for something on their newly limited menu. We obliged bc mind you, at this time it was midnight. Soon after, the waitress shared our orders were being comp d bc majority of the menu was totally unavailable. She finally brought out only 3 plates - for a party of 10 - bc everything else was unavailable or cancelled. None of the 3 plates included our complete orders of what was originally ordered. 9:30pm reservations, 12AM service of food. If it wasn t Saturday night in the middle of Downtown Dallas and reservations weren t obtainable elsewhere- WE WOULD VE LEFT WELL BEFORE. Poorest service any of us have ever received. Management of this restaurant and kitchen, please do better. Y all are making Matthew Judon look bad. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Very happy to eat here and support a black owned establishment, but I d be lying if I said I enjoyed these kind of places overall. Came here for Saturday morning brunch. The atmosphere was good it seemed like people were having a good time and were friendly but the service, food, and just about everything else was sub par. Not even close to worth it for the price of the food. I really enjoyed that they have live music. This place was Atlanta/Houston esque with the pay all this money for nothing kind of philosophy. I had the French toast I d say it was about 5/10 (just seemed like I could make it at home) and my friends had shrimp and grits, and lamp chops (pictures). They all said the food was either average or below average.

I made reservations a month ago to celebrate my 40th birthday with my friends. Prior to heading to the restaurant, I advised them there will it be a total of 14 guests. When we arrive they have to split the tables so the party couldnt send it together. This did not upset me at all however.... We sat there for a total of 4 hours.... There were still people in my party that never got a chance to eat because their food was never served to them. The waitress was very slow with attending to our table. The food that was ordered came back incorrectly several times. There were people who ate an hour or two before others at our table received their food. When I finally received my food, it was wrong and cold but because I was sitting there starving I ate it anyways... The taste was okay. Others at my table did state that their food was delicious. This restaurant was said to be upscale but it set up more like a sports bar. If the restaurant was supposed to be upscale then your waitresses should reflect that. All in all, this was an experience that I never wish to have had, especially for my 40th birthday.

First of all we sat at the table for 30 min before our waiter came to take our orders. We sat at the table another 90 min and hadn t seen our server at all in that time span. Finally after flagging her down and asking how much longer for our food, our food finally arrived at our table with only a sorry about that . The food was good but the service and the restaurant/ lounge itself was terrible. We were told there weren t enough menus for everybody. I was confused whether it was an upscale restaurant or a club/ lounge. There were hookahs and servers in tiny uniforms. To me that is not an upscale restaurant, they need to choose which one they want to be. The music was also very loud. There was also a camera man there putting his camera in people s face while they were eating, I was not happy about that. 0 stars on service.

They had an alternate menu with not much on it. Drinks were good. I ordered the lamb chops which were perfect and I liked the sauce. Perfect hint of spicy and sweet. Edited: I forgot to mention we did Valet. After we were done and get to the Valet stand. All the keys were just outside unattended. I did get a picture of that. Dangerous. There s nothing upscale about this restaurant to start with. It s nice but needs work in several areas. Yes, you can smoke hookah and there s about 10 or 12 19 TV s but the food So many things. To start my friend and I ordered martini s. They reserved them in huge wine glasses and the drink itself had a little bit more than a shot in each. I drink Tito s mine was $17 My friend drinks Grey Goose hers were $13. WHY? How? Just Weird. The bottled water was $11. I ordered smoked wings and they were so tough I couldn t eat them and I couldn t pull the drum apart from the wing. She had The jerk eggrolls & they were not memorable the chicken was over cooked breast with lots of spices. At this point I decided not to eat or drink anything else. My friend ordered the catfish it came out in 4 minutes tops. They charged $12 to sub her side. She said her yams tasted like they d come out of a can. You know when a 20% tip is included for a party of 2 that s a red flag. Britney was nice but definitely not worth $30. I was there 15 minutes before she returned to the table as I arrived after my friend. $200 later we left. I will Not Return. I left hungry and unsatisfied. I almost uploaded a copy of the receipt but For What. Establishments Have To Do Better. I fine fine for a living and This was far from it.

Dined in for what I thought was happy hour, but the times advertised online are wrong. The server was nice enough to still offer me a discount since I made it in right after the cut off. The espresso martini and wings were good. Everything was going fine until one of the employees decided to sit at the high top bar right next to me and proceed to smoke hookah, blowing the smoke over my food. The place was empty with plenty of seating available, as you can tell from my photos. Not sure why he needed to be so close to patrons paying money for a dining experience, not a club/lounge experience (this was 7pm on a weekday while the sun was still up BTW). Would have been better for him to indulge in his smoking habit somewhere else, not a public facing area. I quickly finished my food and left.

Pulled up for a birthday party at 9pm with a party of 10. We didn t get our table until 45 minutes later. When we sat down it took another 20 for someone to come by and take our order. We got 2 hookah & one of them turned off after 5 mins. I waited a whole hour for one of the servers to come re-light the hookah & we kept getting excuses on why she hadn t come. On one occasion, some staff from the bathroom tried pressing me for tipping too little . He called me out saying you & that other Mexican homie ain t tipping right . On August 16th my girlfriend and I flew to Dallas to celebrate her birthday with friends and as part of that celebration I wanted to surprise her with something involving her favorite sport which is Football. I made a reservation and wrote three times within my reservation, it is my girlfriend s birthday. We arrive to park and the valet guys look like they hanging on a street corner so I wasn t sure if I wanted to leave the car or not but we did. We arrive within the restaurant for our reservation host was very pleasant, she gets us seated and that s where it gets to the worst customer service ever! The waitress took our order and never came back our appetizers came out with our food, the meal that was to go came out with the appetizer and other food as well. We asked 5 people can we get some help and they went looking for the waitress as well! Someone finally comes to assist by bringing the waiter to the table, at this point the waiter appears as if we bothering her! I told her we traveled all the way across state to get this experience we never got drinks, she never came back to even see if we needed anything or got our food, I was so disappointed what was suppose to be a beautiful surprise for my girlfriend was ruined by terrible terrible customer service! I wouldn t recommend this place to my Dog after that! And to add insult to injury they say expect a fine dining experience the waitresses look like they just woke up, beauty supply dresses and the bottle girls look like they at a strip club and the majority of every one had on sneakers which made us totally over dressed! And to top it off the Food was nasty ..Shrimp and grits too salty, po boy too much sauce and the dip no flavor or nothing Don t waste your time !! Because of an endorsement by an Instagram influencer, me and two girlfriends went to check out this new spot. There were many things to like about the restaurant but just as many improvements are needed to make this place one to revisit or recommend. What we loved: valet, red carpet effects at the entrance, decor, service and Dallas vibe. What needs improvement: food, mic check, automatic gratuity for parties of less than 6 and liquor variety. First, I want to give kudos to our server, Savannah, who was pleasant and attentive. While the food had great flavor, it was entirely too salty. This was the case for both the catfish as well as the collard greens. Unfortunately, the greens were so salty I could not finish eating them; only had a few bites. The cornbread, however was perfect. The band sang great music but the volume level was so loud that me and friends struggled to have conversation. This should be an easy fix. One of my girlfriends wanted a dirty martini with a specific vodka that was not available. This was surprising, considering it appeared that the restaurant boasted a full bar. Finally, I love the idea of the red carpet but would recommend something of better quality so it doesn t show wear, tear and stains. Bare with me on this long review lol Some girlfriends and I decided on catching up over dinner here last Friday. We had reservations for 6:45 pm. Each of us, arriving in separate vehicles had difficulty finding the place. There is no clear signage outside other than 9s on the door. This is at a busy intersection in victory park, across from hooters. We were sat in a booth in which the table was too small for the seating lol. Whatever. The place is cute and vibey, so thats nice. We order drinks (majority of drinks $20 each) and several apps; spinach dip (8/10), deviled eggs (spicy but yum 8/10), and grilled oysters (10/10). As were eating our apps, several staff members were trying to take away plates and clear the table. So weird. We order another round of drinks and decide on dinner entrees. Our server, Savanah, then informs us at 8:30 pm that at 9 pm promoters will be taking over and our table is reserved so we need to close out our checks. When I asked if we should even bother ordering dinner her manager in so many words said we could but theres no guarantee that the reservation holders wouldnt show up before we even receive our meals. This really left a bad impression of the level of customer service given to guests. We were actively ordering and spending. Needless to say, we did not order dinner so I cannot speak on the quality/ quantity of that. With 20% gratuity included, our bill for 3 ladies that had 2 drinks and 3 apps was about $240 total. Giving 2 stars is kind of generous. The food we did have was fresh and delicious. Our server, Savanah, was so sweet and nothing that happened was her fault. But I think they need to decide if this is a restaraunt or a lounge because theyre not excelling at either atm. NO ! NO ! NO ! ZERO STARS I would like to begin by mentioning that I provided my contact information at the restaurant, hoping to speak directly with the owner or manager before leaving my review. However, it has been three weeks, and I have yet to receive a response. I was invited to this restaurant for a birthday dinner. Based on the reviews, I had mixed expectations, but I remained hopeful. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I had difficulty finding the restaurant. I passed by the building three times due to the lack of signage or any clear indication of where it was located. Eventually, I found the valet, who directed me to the entrance. Upon entering, I was immediately overwhelmed by the heavy presence of hookah smoke, and the music was so loud that it made conversation difficult. It felt more like a nightclub than a lounge. I believe the experience could be improved with a designated area for hookah and slightly lower music volume. Once we were seated, we waited over 20 minutes before I asked a security staff member to locate our server. When she finally arrived, her demeanor was unprofessional and dismissive. She served our water by holding the inside of the cups, which was unhygienic. While taking our order, she seemed uninterested, as if she had more important things to do. After an extended wait, we were informed that several of the items we ordered were unavailable. The food itself was passable, but nothing noteworthy. The restaurant temperature matched the outside Dallas temperature which was miserable. I was sweating the entire dinner. Lastly, a mandatory 20% gratuity was added to every ticket. While I understand this policy, it felt unjustified given the poor service we received. Being forced to tip after such an unpleasant experience was disappointing. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I do not plan to return. Based on the lack of responses to reviews and the failure to follow up on customer concerns, it appears that the management is indifferent, which may affect their longevity.

What you see on social media is not the quality you get. Came for my birthday weekend expecting a completely different experience. Waitress was nice but the food was sub par. $100.30 for a basic breakfast plate and fried shrimp and grits that were not edible. Ambiance needs some work, seating was uncomfortable. Gold Chiavari chairs are more suitable for event rentals not for restaurants. Some tables were folding tables mix matched from the other sturdier tables. They were out of the standard black bar napkins, so we were given white store bought picnic napkins. Lots of attention to detail were missed to equate to the ambiance they advertise and price point they are charging. Truly disappointing experience. It seems like the owner is striving for an upscale feel but it s giving a sports bar experience. You have to set standards and monitor closely to ensure those standards are continually met from every aspect. From the cleanliness of the lighting and speakers overhead near booth seating and the bar (full of dust), cleanliness of windows to the appearance of the pillows on the patio (pillows laying over every visual detail matters) seating and the comfort of booth and chairs (both very uncomfortable), dress code of staff and quality of food and drinks. Step it up several notches. Too many brunch choices and restaurant choices in the area to offer a mediocre experience in a prime location. Nine is a 1 star to no more than a 2 star overall for me.

I was part of a large party of about 50 people, and shockingly, there was only one server assigned to our group. The service was slow, disorganized, and downright frustrating. As for the food, I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were awful, and the greens were equally terrible. The entire experience, from the subpar service to the unappetizing food, was a huge letdown. We were seated at the bar unfortunately those working being the bar were constantly occupied with their phones line dancing and chatting amongst themselves which lead to us having to ask a waitress waiting tables in another section for assistance. Now we did try getting the attention of the guys behind the bar by shouting over the loud music and also waving our hands in the air but it didnt work. Now the food was good for the most part but the people behind the bar never asked if we needed refills on drinks or any condiments for our meals. Plus we were swatting flies and trying to eat it was agitating. She was very dismissive and mentioned this is a fine dining restaurant. Fine dining doesnt have strobe lights and women with booty cheeks hanging out. We finally asked for the manager after Britney lied again and said she already spoke with the manager when both of the managers said they didnt speak with her. The managers were a joke as well. The food was overpriced, the place was pretentious, the greens were salty, food took forever drinks were horrible We wont be back.

First, I drove around the block 4 times looking for the place given theres no sign/name on the building. Very great atmosphere! Food wise, it arrived VERY COLD! Not even the plate was hot. Also, the service was HORRIBLE! Had to repeatedly ask for THE SAME THINGS from the server. When I went there wasnt very many people there except for the large flies everywhere. I had the gumbo the presentation was nice but it tasted like seasoned oil with meat and rice. The cheese burger was over cooked and wasnt seasoned correctly. Felt like I was eating a leather shoe. I asked for water with lemon and got Lemonade. The manager asked how was my food and before I could tell him he walked away. The setup is nice but the execution needs work. Oh and gratuity is automatically added to your bill which is always a red flag. You can tell they are trying to cater to an urban audience but it was kind of tacky. The bathrooms were really confusing because it was like choose the right door .

Had a great experience with dinner recently. Cornbread & butter yum- shrimp and grits with greens- very good. Only a lil sad Oxtails & dessert was sold out. The cocktails were quick, cold and tasty. I didnt see a sign but a very nice Vibe Dining atmosphere once we found it. Sporty but high end. My server Dez was attentive, knowledgeable and professional. Definitely will be back.

The food was BAD. Lobster Mac and cheese W/ no lobster. Lamb chops were sent back 3 times because cooks/chef was incapable of making them medium well as requested. Hooka smokers should have their own section, is rude to sit them next to patrons that are trying to eat. Shrimp and Grits full of some kind of grits and undercooked grits. Just bad overall.

Has an incredible time at 9NINE. The staff were very attentive and professional. The food was simply delicious. The general manager was very personable and made sure our experience was impeccable. Theres a parking lot across the street from the restaurant, and theres underground parking. My only complaint is that they dont validate parking. So, be prepared to pay for parking. Outside of that, this is definitely a place Id visit again.

Very nice staff, look and atmosphere. Our table had a few crumbs on it, and there was multiple spots with food and dirt still on the floor as well as under our table. My wife ordered the fish and grits and the fish was OK but the grits had no taste when eating them separately. The chicken and waffles were good and the drinks were great.

Took my husband there along with my daughter and cousin for Father s Day. My husband ordered the Fried Green Tomato, Black Caesar Salad and the New Zeland Grilled Lamb Chops, my daughter order the Nine Breakfast, my cousin the chicken and waffles with a side of hash brown and I ordered the Father s Day special grilled lamb chop and fried lobster that was suppose to come with Mac n cheese. We order two mimosas and a royale spritz. We were asked if we wanted Sparkling and Distilled Water we choose Sparkling.To begin with the items on their website did not match what was available so we ordered what they had available. After our order our server was gone for 15 minutes before coming back to inform us the kitchen was backed up and our food would take longer to arrive. We were understanding and waited. Took 45 minutes before the first item arrived was the hash brown which were cold and greasy. My cousin still ate it and my daughter s food arrived which was suppose to include grits we informed the gentleman who gave us the food that her grits were missing and he said he would get it. Then my husband s salad and lamb chops arrived and I had to wait another 5 minutes before my meal would come. They had a steak instead of my grilled lamb chops and it was missing my Mac n cheese as well. I informed the gentleman who brought it that my order was incorrect. My food arrived 10 minutes later and they proceeded to provide me with the same lobster which was cold and grilled lamb chops no cold as well and no Mac n cheese. My at this point we had waited over an hour and were hungry so we proceeded to eat. My husband had eggs that were served with the lamb and the eggs were burnt and yellow as you can tell it had been sitting out for a while. I was unable to finish my food as it was cold and the lobster was fried in old oil. Our server finally arrived 25 minutes after our food was served. We informed her my daughter never received her grits and I my Mac n cheese as well as my husband s old and cold eggs. She informed us that my daughter s meal didn t come with grits though it stated it on the menu and she asked her how she wanted her grits and that even if she rushed my order it be another 20 minutes to get Mac n cheese since the kitchen was backed up. She said she would talk to the manager to recoup us. She came back to tell us that I would get 10% off my $80 meal and my husband 25% off his $40 meal. At this point we weren t willing to argue so we paid. As we left I received my text receipt to see our total we were charged for sparkling water which we weren t informed about and a $16 dollar Royal Spritz $52 dollars. The manager was unhelpful and did not even speak to us. So I do not recommended going unless you just want an aesthetic. Also gratuity is automatically 20% and that wasn t posted anywhere

The food is nice and the atmosphere is a vibe. HOWEVER, the menue does not reflect the actual prices and they tell you the menu prices for oysters is double. So, for example: tonight the oysters tonight were $16 on the menu but, we were told they were double. They have lobster Mac and cheese as an entrée and side yet, theyre the same price even though the menue shows 2 separate prices. Thats false advertisement. I could go on but you get the picture.

Not sure where to begin on this review, but I ll start & end by saying this: You can never get my time or money again, EVER! #1: I had the pleasure of visiting 9 Nine on Saturday, June 1st for the first time. And to say that I was impressed with EVERYTHING & everyone is an understatement. The ambience, the staff, the food, the nightlife , our waitress Jessica JC ..she & EVERYTHING was top-tier! I was so Impressed to the point where I rearranged my entire birthday plans to have a birthday dinner the FOLLOWING Saturday, June 8. #2: Arrival The UNEDUCATED VALET people: Upon arriving the valet service was trash. They did not know what they were doing & I questioned if they were even legit. You don t take cards?! Cash/Cash APP/or Zelle is the ONLY way to pay for valet? With the cash app recipient being the SAME valet guy that just parked my car? Okay, got it. #3: The TABLE: When reserving my dinner table I was working with Myra who set up & confirmed all things (She was wonderful to work with @the time). I reserved a dinner table @9PM for my family & I. However, upon being seated, we were seated at a booth right in front of the live band (which was great because I figured it was an upgrade for my birthday. & The LIVE BAND was Fantastic!!!) All to learn we had to move or leave by 11 PM because the booth was reserved for the nightlife . *Pause*. Why was this never explained upon reservation (and/or when I arrived) MYRA?! And more importantly, what happened to the TABLE (NOT booth) that I originally requested for dinner? (IF needed-I have the screenshot of what I specifically requested when I reserved). I m intelligent enough to know that VIP booths in Lounges are typically reserved for the night life - so there was no need for a VIP Booth for me & mines that night. #4: The FOOD: We ordered several items from the menu. The chicken wings were rushed & NOT done. The gumbo was cool/warm (not hot). And last, but not least the greens were COLD & had to be sent back. If your chefs were TIRED of cooking-they could ve just said that & shut the kitchen down even earlier, simple. #5: The Crowd : I wanted to save the BEST for last: As I mentioned before I visited 9 Nine on Saturday, June 1. The crowed was GROWN, Sexy & a whole vibe. WOW-such a great time!!! BUT on Saturday JUNE 8th ..it was obvious that you guys (the owners) partnered with a so-called vendor or promo company . Either way, just know .They & the CROWD they brought IN were GHETTO A.F!!!!!! Who let the flood gates of RATCHET In?! Ghetto to the point-It looked like you guys needed a metal detector at the door after 10:30PM. Did I mention a FIGHT broke out in your so called kitchen & lounge establishment? Enough said. Naturally, we left early because we started to feel uncomfortable. Only to learn that your uneducated valet people lost my best friend s & another customers car keys. My best friend had to wait over 30 minutes so they could find them. While waiting We noticed that one of the other valet driver s wrecked someone s SUV-while trying to move it from the sidewalk. Shaking My Head. The EXPERIENCE: (On Saturday, June 8) ruined the plans I had for my birthday. I m so upset & disappointed because my party deserved better and more importantly so did I. This spot is new to Dallas but give it a few months and it will be on and poppin!! The food was nothing short of amazing. Everything I ate/tasted bursted with flavor soon as it touched my pallet. The charred oyters AMAZIN. The smoked wings were delicious and seasoned to perfection they didnt need the ranch dressing for dipping. The collards had a little kick to them but were so good and the mac and cheese was good but not my favorite. I really hope this place survives because of the food alone. Chefs Kiss!!
