Place at Tyler! Absolutely love this venue. The blank white canvas allows you the freedom to be as creative as you want. Hosted several events here before and we re always happy with the outcome. Great centralised location, tons of amenities, and the owners are always super helpful! Overall one of my fav venues in Dallas.

I was recently hired as a vendor for an event that was hosted at Place at Tyler. The new owner Stephanie was very helpful and accommodating. I always enjoy doing events at this venue! The blank canvas offers a world of possibilities to create and transform the space. The centralized location and proximity to Bishop Arts District is also a plus!!

Stephanie, the new owner went above and beyond to make our last minute booking a smooth one. She was very upfront as to what was included in the rental. She had our layout done perfectly as asked upon arrival. We originally were going to rent the Allen location, but when it was not available, Stephanie accommodated our needs in a short turn around. Both popular caterers knew the building and location so set up and serving were on point! The parking is very limited, but plenty of parking around the corner. This building I believe is an old horse stable, so it really has a modern urban feel. super cool!!!! White walls (some brick, some wood panels), white industrial ceilings and natural concrete floors. The space we rented was 2900 square feet and perfect for our event. If you need a rental venue in Dallas, I would highly recommend this venue and Stephanie. She was very attentive since the booking!!!

Absolutely LOVED our experience with Place at Tyler & Stephanie for our intimate wedding and reception. The venue was perfect for what we needed and Stephanie was so helpful, she even went above and beyond and captured some behind the scenes of our day for us. The venue is recently under new ownership (Stephanie) and she is amazing and makes your event with Place at Tyler perfect and seamless. We will 100% be looking into booking with her again!

This place was not worth the money. We rented this venue while in transition of it being sold. The new owners were horrible. They didnt honor what was in the contract. We had to pay thousands of dollars to be able to host a wedding here only to have to do our own work. We had to take out the trash, sweep, take the chairs down, etc....while the people that were working there watched. So why was it so expensive if we did all of the work. If you plan to make memories, Do NOT do it here. Spend your money elsewhere. It is not convenient to get into the venue. The handicap ramp is pretty far on one end. It was a bad experience. And when we asked the workers where the trash outside was, no one knew. They kept saying, let me ask...let me ask...for all questions. Overall...this place is an F-. I highly recommend the owner train their staff at least give people THAT courtesy so when they spend thousands of dollars to do their own work, they know where things go. 1

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Poor communication. Unorganized. Do NOT have your wedding here. I wanted to book my wedding here and was unable to reach anyone by phone, email, Facebook or Instagram for almost TWO MONTHS! My fiancé and I decided to pop up in person and see if anyone was there to give us a tour. We got lucky and were able to view the place and spoke with the manager and owner. She stated she had just taken over the company and took down all of my information as well as told us she d hold our date. Weeks went by and I didn t hear anything back, so I decided to call. The owner says they were finishing contracts and she d get with me later that day. I never received a phone call or email to pay a deposit and sign a contract or anything. She never got back with me and stopped answering my calls. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

By far one of the worst experiences Ive had with a venue and Ive worked with many previously being in the event planning industry. Not only were the guests followed around by the coordinator continuously throughout the event but she was also no help when needed just blank stares. Accessibility was non existent from the parking, getting into the building and access to the trash. Beautiful space but if you dont have the right people running it, what good is that.

The time leading up to a wedding, or any large gathering for that matter, is already stressful enough but having someone as unprofessional as the owner of this place makes everything 10x worse Everything was just fine until the initial deposit cleared, thats when the nightmare began. We contracted a wedding planner to take some of those added stresses off my wifes and Is plate. After multiple requests for the owner to only contact our planner and not my wife, she continued to do so. on 1/21/22 the owner was scheduled to meet our planner at the venue for a 440pm-5pm walkthrough, guess who doesnt show up? Her excuse? She was stuck at home as her husband hadnt made it home yet. Imagine trekking through DFW traffic on a weekday to perform a rushed walkthrough in 20 mins, only for the person that youre meeting with to not have the common courtesy to text or call letting them know that they wouldnt be making it. On 3/10/22, merely weeks out from our day, our planner had a call with the owner concerning some planning items. During that call, she nonchalantly adds that she is in the process of selling the venue and that a new crew would be taking over on April 1st. Conveniently, our wedding date was on April 2nd. After upgrading our package from the original 100 guest up to 150, a difference of $1600, the owner began hinting that we should keep the guest count as close to 100 guests as that is what is best for the venue. This entire process seemed to be what was best for the venue but not what was best for the paying customer. Ironically, as of today, she only offers a 100 guest package on her website which makes sense because the venue cannot physically hold 150 people unless of course, you want them to dance on the tables. She gladly took our additional money knowing so. The logistics of this place is a complete quagmire. On the day of, our coordinator did not have access to the building at the promised time. On top of that, the table linens that were assured by the owner were nowhere to be found. This delay in the linens caused our coordinator to have to send someone to go buy an emergency set which obviously delayed the setup time as you cannot set up the reception area until the linens are on the tables. While we were monetarily reimbursed for a linen misunderstanding, time cannot be recouped especially on the day of a wedding event. Trash for the party is to be taken out AT LEAST 250 yards through a labyrinth of stairs and hallways and across a parking lot to the dumpsters. You would think this venue would at least have some sort of buggy or trash cart for paying customers to take their OWN trash out with but you thought wrong. Bag after bag after bag must be lugged through the venue via complete manpower. Now suddenly the same owner that didnt have time to respond to our calls, emails and appointment times has all the time in the world to charge the card on file after a walkthrough and lock up had been performed along with drafting up multiple emails including one in which she accuses us of bullying her? What makes everything so upsetting is how easy and fun it was to work with literally every other vendor for our day. Our DJ, photographer, caterer, makeup, hair, floral, etc were all exceptional providing 5 star, white glove service. Then theres this place. Coming back from our honeymoon only to find the owner of this place calling your coordinator unprofessional every chance they get in order to look like the victim in the review section is quite disappointing. If you ask me, what is truly unprofessional is not responding to a clients correspondence, standing clients up for meetings, over charging for a venue that cannot physically host 150 guests as promised, selling your business prior to fulfilling your previously scheduled obligations, and not having the items ready on the day of as agreed upon. Hopefully after pressing send on this review, this nightmare will officially be over. A little over a week since our day and this situation is truly the only rain cloud over our special moment.

This venue was beautiful and upon booking, I was super excited to have my wedding here, but the before and after of my wedding were very stressful. I originally booked a package for 100 guests, which was $4200. When we exceeded 100 guests, I updated my package to up to 150 guests at $5800. The venue was unable to provide accommodations for up to 150 guests so we rented additional chairs and tables. As of today, the venue only offers packages for up to 100 guests at $3900, which is why they only have 200 chairs (accommodations for 100 guests in the ceremony and reception areas). So, I paid about $2000 in excess of the current price for a venue that could not fully accommodate the 150 guests for which I paid. The owner was very reluctant to work directly with my wedding coordinator and has continuously blamed her for everything. My coordinator has done several successful events and weddings, so to see the owner defame her in her review responses (which she has since gone through and changed) and in emails the she sent me is extremely disappointing. The owner stood me and my coordinator up for meetings and scheduled phone calls. She admitted that she was transitioning out of the venue and I believe this is why the service we received was nothing compared to whats detailed in the positive reviews. The venue requires that you take your own trash to the dumpster and it is extremely difficult to get to, very far from the venue and they charge for leaks. I was provided photos with proof of the leaks and charged immediately after my event rental time ended. I highly recommend that the venue invest in a trash buggy to help with the very far trek to the dumpster. Approximately 12 hours after our event ended, I was charged for more overages. The owner stated that my party broke property in her venue restroom by providing photos of damages that were taken approximately 12 hours after her coordinator locked up and left the venue. The damages that were presented (a broken full length mirror and artwork torn down from the walls) are very hard to miss so I was in complete shock that not one person in the venue (including her day of coordinator) saw the damages before lock up. Unprovoked, she mentioned that the venue had surveillance so I requested footage of the damage being done and stated that I would happily pay for the damages that were assessed but she completely ignored my request for the footage. It didnt stop there....about 32 hours after our event, I was charged $900 for destroying a chair that had a spill on it. I was speechless because I didnt understand how I was receiving charges day after day for new damages when the contract states that the day of coordinator would assess overages at lock up. It is very bad business and extremely stressful on newlyweds to continue to receive charges for damages 12 and 32 hours after lock up when these damages were not identified/assessed during the walkthrough on the night of the event. My experience with Place at Tyler was extremely unpleasant and caused me a lot of stress and to add to all of this stress and a ruined honeymoon week, the owner emailed me mentioning potential legal action and blaming me for reviews that she received from other attendees. Im writing a review now because I am entitled to share my experience as is anyone else that attended an event at this establishment or dealt with the owner/her staff, whether they are good or bad experiences. To insinuate that the negative reviews are a result of overage fees when the owner/her staff provided subpar service leading up to the event, during the event and after the event is gaslighting. Place at Tylers owner/staff has taken zero accountability for how they treated me, my coordinator and guests and for not providing quality service. I made the wrong decision in selecting this venue for what was supposed to be a very special day.

Attended an event here. My first impression was immediate confusion. Parking was poorly directed - despite the venue only offering staff support for incoming guests. From what I saw, they have an option which allows you to plan & manage your own event - this advertisement is borderline fraudulent and at best shady and bad business practice. I personally assisted with a 3 hour clean up effort and can confirm the place was left spotless - informed later cleanup efforts were non-existent & the host was subsequently overcharged significantly. I caution anyone interested in this venue - they will truly take advantage of anyone. If I could give 0 stars, I would still find it to be a generous review of this horrendous excuse for an event venue.

What was supposed to be a happily ever after has become a nightmare for my friend. The lack of communication and respect began once access was granted to us to the venue well after we were scheduled to have access. When we attempted to clean up, the assistant followed us through the building and would not advise on where the trash was supposed to go. She also was very vulgar and very unprofessional by raising her voice and throwing our belongings outside. The damages that they are advising we caused was not us. The place was cleaned and the things they are alleging are broken and/or damaged were not a result of our actions. This is truly upsetting as this is supposed to be a very exciting time for my friend.

This venue is horribly managed. They falsely accused and charged us for damaging property that was not done by our party. The assistants attitude was disgusting and very condescending. She seemed like there was an issue from the moment we arrived. She was very disrespectful. The owner sold this company and did not care at all how the guests were treated so it makes sense that this was the outcome! You can tell her lack of customer service with the responses she is giving to reviews that uncover how horribly this place is operated.

The venue itself was extremely inaccessible for the guest and the wedding party. The staff didn t offer any support in setting up or the breakdown. They just watched and followed us around. The parking was very complicated and far from the venue as well as the trash shoots. Overall a terrible experience and wouldn t recommend to anyone. There are better places.

Lauren is one of the worst owners I ve ever had to deal with. She has kept our deposit throughout the pandemic and refuses to give it back though we never had our event. I had to file fraud reports with the local authorities and FFC against her, Place at Tyler and it s parent company Three Twelve Co. Be very cautious before you do business with her and any one she s in business with. You may be screwed! Thankfully our bank was able to issue our money back from this fraudulent company. *Response to Lauren* we never ever scheduled our event. We could not have it on our agreed upon date due to the government shut down. You should ve promptly returned our deposit as it was ILLEGAL to hold an event. We do not have to reschedule as that wasn t a condition in our contract. You stole our deposit.

I had the pleasure of planning a wedding that took place at the Place at Tyler in September. The space is beautiful and its in a great location. Its one thing to have an amazing event space. However, its even better when you have staff to match! On the day of the wedding, I had the opportunity to work with the venue assistant Jaci. She was fantastic! I met Jaci for the first time on the morning of the wedding. I couldnt have asked for a better teammate! I refer to her as a teammate because she was so eager to help me with all the planned an unplanned requests that occurred that day. She always came up with a solution for anything I needed. As a planner I appreciate that so much when working with a venue. I recommend Place at Tyler for your event space needs. And I highly recommend working with Jaci on your event day if shes available. Lauren is an older white women who profited off the backs of young black entrepreneurs during the middle of a pandemic and civil arrest in 2020. She refuses to refund our deposit despite us never being able to use her venue due to the federal lockdown in April 2020. She is very vile and nasty. I have emails to prove it. Never do business with this women if you know what s best for you. There are tons of other reputable venues in the DFW that respect others and would never take advantage during a pandemic of minority businesses.

We paid for the wedding package that included the groom s room, and she only told us two days before our wedding that bc we didn t confirm the time she never booked us the groom s room we paid for. We clearly would have booked it if we knew this information earlier, but it was slipped into an unrelated email and she never mentioned it again. We also paid $650 extra for a point of contact person, who let the guests into the wrong door so everyone saw me in my dress before the ceremony. They are really hard to reach for questions, we usually had to comment on her instagram to get a response because she does not provide a phone number and doesn t answer emails. Anyways the space is beautiful, unfortunately our experience with the service was a nightmare. responding to the owners reply: No we never took family photos before the wedding, ask our photographer and like I said earlier on our dm messages, we do not want anything free or asking for anything in return. We are not one to complain so we stay silent for 8 months. We just hope that next time this will not happening to anyone else.

Holding my sister s lingerie shower at Place at Tyler was an amazing decision! The owner, Lauren Lee, went above and beyond from the start to make the process seamless. Immediately responding to our inquiry about the venue, she readjusted her schedule to show it to us last-minute and worked side-by-side with my team to take this versatile space and turn it into a stunning backdrop for the shower. Accommodating, easy to work with and incredibly talented all describe Lauren who was even there to help clean up once the party ended!
