I am very happy with my experience with this law firm. I called and spoke right away to Mrs. Austin who walked down the hall to Mr. Debnam s office to speak to me. They both listened to me and were very kind. They got my information to have Mr. Scurlock speak to me about my case which was his specialty. I was very surprised that he called me a short time later, especially since Mr. Debnam stated he was resting at home recovering from being sick. Mr. Scurlock asked me questions that other lawyers I have been speaking to recently didn t ask. He spent over 45 minutes with me to give me great insight into what the other parties lawyers are likely advising and how to protect myself in my current process and the different approaches I may have to take. He also told me his actual trial and litigation experience over the years for cases similar to mine. He also advised of his fee structures and different ways he can help me if I step down from my job or lose my job, which in this day and age is very comforting to know that I have a plan of action in this very scary situation that I am in. He was honest and even advised me that I didn t need to hire him just yet, which would save me money right now. He didn t just tell me what I wanted to hear, there was some tough love and realistic resetting of expectations, critical at the point that I am in which I appreciate very much. I have never encountered such personable, down to earth, upfront and communicative lawyers in my life. I haven t even hired them yet and they already empowered me so much in a situation that as a black woman can make you feel very small and powerless. I haven t been able to sleep well for quite a while but I m certain I will get rest tonight. Give them a call, I m so glad I found them.

Going through certain situations in life can be very difficult, Divorce being one of the most trying times in a persons life they say. While it might seem strange to post positive feelings about a not so positive situation.. I am doing just that. From the day I met Michael Debnam, I knew. I knew I was in good hands. I had interviewed, multiple attorneys to get an idea of which way I was going to go. Never in a million years did I ever EVER expect myself to be in this situation. Within 2 minutes of speaking with Michael, I felt like he was a real human. He listened, he asked very good questions and felt that he wanted to understand my point of view on things. I have no experience at all with this type of thing but Michael explained it all very clearly and as a very calm and professional (while still caring) demeanor. Michael helped me with my case involving visitation, child support, etc. which was very complicated. I could not see any positive outcome when we started the process. Michael was wonderful at explaining every step, he was honest and genuine. He listened to my concerns and did everything he could to get me the best outcome I never thought possible.
