Great park! Just needs a little love. Grass is almost gone. Stone benches need a little power washing. Pond is dirty. Lets blame the recent rain storms? I would like to go back and see it cleaned up so the pups can get safely in the water now that is so hot!!!

There are 3 different areas to take your dog into. There s a >30lb, < 30lb, and then an enclosed area with a pond. We like that this park actually has grass! Plenty of trees and always other dogs to play with. This is one of the larger enclosures I ve seen. So many trees and plenty of places for the humans to sit. There is also a walking path that goes around with lots of shade. Playground: None Toilets: None Dog-friendliness: One of the best for doggo! Picnic area: Shaded picnic tables with grills.

This is a pretty large dog park! There s 3 different parts 1- big dog park (quite a large area 2- park with a pond area and has a space for dogs to jump off into the water 3- little dog park Then there s a trail around the whole area. Aside from being right next to the highway, this is a nice spot. They have a fence up by the highway so we were able to let our dog walk the trail with us and it felt almost like a walking trail within a dog park with the containment.

Best dog park in DFW. It is always clean and maintained. It is a huge dog park divided into three large areas. One area for dogs under 30 lbs. One area for large dogs. A third area with a very large pond for dogs that like swimming. There are plenty of trees so ample shade. Several water fountains for both humans and dogs. Fence around entire park is in good repair with no gaps. There are also several concrete benches to sit on while your dog plays.

While it is large, this dog park is lacking in many areas. From the car to even in the pond there is trash everywhere, and though I didnt see any broken glass or dangerous items, I wouldnt be surprised. Along with being trashy the park also just needs plenty of maintenance, the grass is terrible, tree limbs everywhere look like they are about to fall, one of the gates to the large dog park doesnt open, and the pod is dirty. Also I think the advertised 22 acres includes all parks and the parking lot. and the fences are only 5ft tall. easy for and large dog to jump over. I see great potential in the park just not there right now.

Very dirty and unsafe. There were gunshots fired while we were there!!! Someone was circling the parking lot looking for cars to break into. The off leash part is separated into small and big dog sides plus the water. None of the areas are very large definitely not the 22 acres the description claims. My small dog got a ton of burrs from the grass. Avoid at all costs!!! Wind haven dog park is only 10 mins away and very nice and safe

Worst park I have been to in the dfw area. Needs more maintenance and police presence! Trash everywhere literally picked up freon and spray cans. The water is super polluted with a lot of trash, empty bottles, spray cans, and various other trash. Folks are not picking up their pups poop so the park is full of it. No shaded areas to sit yall will be boiling in the heat. The ground is all rock and dirt with exposed tree roots. Thieves circling the parking lot stopping next to cars, I got lucky I got to my car in time... Thornes(Stickers)all over the park, pulled out around 30 from my dogs paws... The only upside is the size of it. Literally the worst. Go to mcinnish!

Super fun day at the Dog-o lake . So glad I found this dog park. My silly Lab Mix does not like our pool. She grew up in the North East and prefers lakes and rivers over the pool. Worth the 20 minute drive from Plano. Mostly clean, dog owners need to grab the poop bags (free for the taking) and use them. Other than that, we had a great experience at the wooded lake. Whisper made some new friends and even tried playing for a hot minute. She is a senior (13 years old), so to see her try and play was great fun. Toilets: There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot. Dog-friendliness: All the dogs seemed to get along just fine. Just remember not to let your dog stray to far from where you are. Just in case they get in a scuffle. Picnic area: There is a covered picnic area to have lunch.

This is the best of any dog parks I ve visited. It has the typical dog park features you d expect: separate small/large dog areas, double gates for leashing/unleashing, water fountains, secure and fenced wide open space. There s lots of shade and sun and plenty of room. Even when it s busy, I ve never felt crowded there. Places for people to sit, but nothing luxurious. ;) The dog water fountains (to drink or rinse off mud) weren t working for a long time but today I saw that they are. The best part is the large pond for wading or swimming (for the dogs!). Great for throwing the ball if your dog actually returns one. Lol I should note this review is for the large dog side I ve never been to the small dog side. Toilets: Nope! Dog-friendliness: Perfect!

Whether U plan to get active with him or relax and let her do her thing, I guarantee U will have one happy and tired pooch at the end of the day!! Its a favorite for my Girl and I. This is a great park. I go out of my way to come here instead of Richardsons park for the larger size (for small dogs anyway) and nicer feel. I doubt by dogs care, but I enjoy being here, especially early on summer days when its still fairly cool. I love the trees and only wish there were more of them. And benches. Who wants to sit on big blocks of rock? The reason I give 4 stars is Ive now twice shown up on Wednesday to find the gates closed. The sign at the park and the hours here show it should only be closed on Tuesday. Not sure where the disconnect here, but driving half an hour to find a closed gate is disappointing.

The next day though he was acting weird and lethargic, and not soon after stayed vomiting. We dont have any way to know if it was the pond, but its the only unusual place hes been. Of course, no one who cares about their pet would bring them to this kind of pond without a lepto vaccination, and my boy has one, but to be safe Im letting everyone know. Nausea vomiting and lethargy only so far. Will update if I get more info.

The area is awesome, especially for really hot days because it has a ton of shade. The little lake is super fun for the doggos, and the people were nice. There was a lot of cleanup needed though. It seems the people tend to forget to clean up after their dogs. You would think the numerous trash cans with signs reminding owners to pick up the poo would be enough, but alas, reading can be hard.

Nice folks on a beautiful Dallas day, delightful small dog area with lots of fun playful pups that gave us a good barking when we drove up. A lovely woman was even picking up other folks dog poop! How great is that? There are still nice people in the world make sure you are nice in return and start a trend.

Gigantic dog park with water feature. That little pond looks so nasty but dogs like it. Plenty of parking.

Great park, both wet/lake and dry park options for pups and both large dog and small dog parks. Also has a hose area to wash your pup afterwards which is great.

Park is a great size with plenty of room for dogs to run around and ours especially loves the lake to swim in! Only downside is that it could be more maintained and clean.

Decent park. Seems to have a crime problem after dark and the road driving in is packed with cars parking on both sides the entire way. Sometimes with people darting out from between them without notice

Other than the lady who kicked our 7mo old puppy for bringing her small yapper into the big dog area, this place was great! Nice large area, plenty of seating, water fountains, and poo stations.
