In hopes of finding a lawyer to help with a family case that we currently are wanting to modify and the other parent making threats, I reached out to multiple attorneys in the DFW area. From reaching out to about 30, Mr. Barbosa was the first and only one to reach back out personally. The rest replied later or had an assistant call to set up a consultation. Mr. Barbosa let me know personally that they were not currently handling Family Child Support cases but still took his time to refer me to someone else and when that didnt pan out, I went back to him to ask for another person he could refer me to. He then surprised me by not only replying back but actually advising me to file a modification and that if the other person decides to proceed with their threat to reach back out to him. I cant say that anyone else has taken the time to not only give me advise despite not being hired on to represent us but also let me know sometimes threats are just threats and even offered for me to reach back out to him if the other parent does try to file something else. He gave us a peace of mind in trying to begin what we are trying to accomplish. I couldnt be more grateful for his time (no other attorney was willing to talk to me without either having a consolation or paying a fee) despite him letting me know he was not taking these types of cases right now. I cant say how much we appreciated his time and his advice. And we will definitely be reaching back out if the threat is something they decide to pursue. But again, I cant express how much I recommend him to someone looking for help! He gave us the time of day that no one else was willing to give.
