Was given John Kappels name to handle a probate issue. He did a teleconference with us and we sent him paperwork to look over. Been trying to contact him via email the last couple of weeks but we havent heard back. Tried calling him. His staff said he was out for the day. They said they would put me through to his voicemail, but ended up getting disconnected. I give up. It could be a fluke in responding, but at this point, my family and I have to start all over again with a new lawyer. Ive lost faith with this firm.

I retained John Kappel in 2016 when I saw my marriage heading in a negative direction. I knew I needed to be prepared to protect my financial interests should my husband at the time follow through with threats to my financial viability. John was patient, understanding and straight forward in directing me how to best prepare myself should I end up in divorce proceedings. John continued his council as needed through the next few years providing guidance as I requested. Our divorce was filed by my spouse in 2019, and finalized in July of 2020. The divorce was intricate between various business partnerships and other tangled and co-mingled investments, etc. John was there by my side to guide me and represent my financial and family interests (regarding my children) as well as my future financial/custody well being. While I was a mental mess grasping the circumstances of the death of a 26 year relationship, John stood steadfast in addressing my best interests with the understanding that I wanted as fair a resolution as possible without being taken advantage of by my ex. I would not have been able to manage in my divorce had it not been for John s guidance, experience, and resources. He metaphorically held my hand through the entire life-changing process. A sincere thank you to John, and ONDA.

I want to take a moment to comment on John Kappel and ONDA. John represented me in a bitter divorce case that went on for nearly two years (due to her actions). Johns guidance along this very difficult path was invaluable. The most impressive aspect of Johns skill was his preparation and professional conduct at a two day trial that ended as well as I could have expected.

I highly recommend ONDA for your family law representation and counsel. I have personally used Brad LaMorgese and Holly Baird for years, since first back in 2011. They have always handled themselves and therefore me, with complete class and professionalism. They pair just the right mix of legal expertise, with the ability to be both reasonable and agreeable, with just the right amount of aggressiveness when the situation calls for it. I have always been impressed with their ability to read me/the clients goals, in order to get the case wrapped up in the best and most efficient possible manner, while also at times protecting me from myself and any possible traps or mistakes due to their vast experience. Jeff Anderson and Brad LaMorgese represented me during a brutal, multi-year interstate custody case that was successfully appealed all the way to the Texas Supreme Court and in the Court of Appeals in my home state. The darkness one feels when going through such an experience is indescribable, and Jeff and Brad guided me through that darkness, not only with skill and expertise, but also with gentleness and compassion. Sometimes its the little things that make the biggest difference, like the time Jeff just let me cry in his office while reassuring me with a personal story of his own. Or the time Brad and his assistant worked late preparing a document for filing with the Texas Supreme Court. The timing made all the difference. I will never forget those things. At the time, life seemed like it would never be bright or positive again, but I look back now and the darkness seems like a fading memory. Brad and Jeff laid the groundwork and played a huge role in that process for me, and I will be forever grateful for their help.

In the INFANCY of a Divorce and feeling the ineviatable you know the only way to handle it wisely, professionally and ethically is to retain a Law Firm whose beliefs mirror yours. ONDA, is one of those firms, I first met with Paula and Richard, I explained what was happening very quickly in my marriage and what I was looking to achieve knowing it was becoming irreparable after 32 years and razing two amazing daughters. Your soon to be ex spouse will say anything, berate you, turn family against you and not believe anything that you say its very disturbing. Having Paula work with me on this for 23 long , very long months as it was negotiated and settled equitably. Having been guided, encouraged and hearing stories of other situations like mine was very refreshing and helpful. If you need an awesome attorney that will get it settled fairly and minimize family damage control, call ONDA and ask for Paula Bennett.

I have known Orsinger,Nelson,Downing and Anderson attorney Brad Lamorgese since he was an intern at the Dallas District Attorney. My position was that of a District Attorney Investigator. Since that time Brad has made a name for himself as one of the top family law litigators in Dallas. Brad has also been named a Super Lawyer multiple times by his peers in the Dallas legal community. I have worked with Mr.Lamorgese several times though out the years on several complex and delicate legal matters since leaving the DA.The cases were always handled in a professional manner by Brad.
