My special needs families, listen up! If you find yourself in the shocking and surreal world where your adult childs behaviors related to IDD and mental health trauma are treated as criminal, Michael Lowe is who you call. When I was calling around initially, I found so few lawyers who understood or even cared to try to understand my sons disability and I felt so uneasy talking to them. I can not put into words the level of panic and fear racing through me during this time of utter shock and bewilderment as to the fact it was even happening! But then I spoke to Michael, and I immediately felt peace and knew by his kindness that he understood and I finally felt heard, and I felt hope. Our first meeting with Michael, he put my son with Down syndrome at ease and assured him everything would work out. As a single mom, his empathy and compassion towards my finances were also appreciated as he charged me a flat fee only, and our case took 2.5 years to complete. The goal was always to have the case dismissed and Michael accomplished that goal. My son has now been treated for his mental health, is healing from his trauma and is leading the life he was meant to have. We could not be be more grateful to Michael for his genuine compassion, generosity, gifted strategy and brilliant efforts in insuring this outcome. I never in a million years thought my family would go through something like this, and I had zero awareness until now that our special needs community needed an advocate for our adult kids who suddenly land in the criminal justice system. Since this experience, I have met other families in similar situations with less favorable outcomes and realized even more so how not only valuable, but imperative Michael Lowe and his services are to our community. I had a complex legal question crossing two States and Federal jurisdictions. I contacted 11 Lawyers in two states for help. Some of the Lawyers specifically said they dealt with these situations on their website. 10 of those Lawyers would not even consider the case. Michael Lowe took up the issue and PROMPTLY provided real legal advise for my circumstance. He researched and personally advised me with the applicable law and appropriate course of action. Even though he could not be retained and get paid, because he does not practice where I have to file, This Man helped out of the goodness of his heart, He did not have to. He got nothing out of it. But he did it anyway. There are so few people out there that are willing to help someone else. I am so very grateful for him!

Mr.lowe is a plea bargain lawyer he might be a good state attorney but for federal law he will get you a plea he will not fight your case or go to trial I have a friend he took money from for work he did not do and never refunded the money he did not earn so do your research and actually talk to lawyers dont go by people posting reviews to boost his reputation he is a plea bargain attorney

I reached out to Micheal s office to discuss a topic I got a call back from him within minutes and even though I had not yet hired him as my attorney he graciously spent time talking details and wasn t in a rush he gave his cellphone number at the end of the conversation and said he is reachable anytime. We hired Mr. Lowe to represent our loved one in a very serious and scary case. First off. we live several hours away, but that never hindered the communication between us. Mr. Lowe was at every hearing and constantly in touch. I have never had an attorney give us his personal cell phone number for questions. You dont have to speak to anyone else. Your concerns are handled directly by him and he wont nickel and dime you for the calls. He always answers your calls or will call you right back.The same with emails. Hell reply right away. I came across this guy just by searching online for attorneys, and out of the 6-7 different ones I spoke with, he was the only one who didn t even bring up a price tag when I had tons of questions about my case. Mr.lowe gave me and my husband a new beginning and chance to start over which I am enternaly grateful for!! This has been quite a long an interesting journey for me. I am a consultant by training so before I chose Michael Lowe as my attorney, I did a thorough internet search on him. I went on his LinkedIn, looked up what law school he went to, I even checked his Instagram page. I had to know who I will be hiring to help me with some legal issues I had placed myself in. I even found out he spent his Christmas vacation in Naples, FL; this is how much I dug into this guy. I mean this guys LinkedIn page is full of articles about jurisprudence, law, etc. The guy is brilliant! So at the end, I knew who I was dealing with. He had earned my trust even though this happened later after I had hired him. So I came clean with him about the real issues I was dealing with. Telling your defense attorney everything upfront is probably the smartest thing you can ever do; and I failed to do this early on. Telling Michael everything upfront made him away of all the blind spots and any potential surprises. I now get it. Crafting a winning strategy was a lot easier with all the facts on the table. My two cases were dismissed. It was painful because I was working out of state but still had to fly in to court on a weekday for 12 months but Michael made it work out. There were times when I felt like giving up, but Michael at one of our meetings even raised his voice at me asking me to stay focused and remain on target. And in retrospect I am thankful for that day because I was ready to give up. Final thoughts: Please be upfront with your defense attorney. Withholding information the worst thing you can do. No one should get into legal trouble and just expect to walk out of it with no pain or struggle. But trust me, the struggles are worth it when your case will ultimately get dismissed. Michael never raised my expectations but injected me with realism and worst case scenarios that way I was prepared mentally all along. And one day, boom! Charges got dismissed. (These were some pretty serious charges). My brother hired this guy and had an experience much like Bryans experience. He didnt prepare for the case and talked him into a last minute plea. I warned my brother about this attorney as I would ask what was going on with his case and he never had any new information. He had over a year to prepare and didnt take any time to get the details or interview people who had information in regards to his case. He made sure to collect over 30k from my brother and thats all he did. The day before his court date he tells my brother to take a plea, making him think it was no big deal. Later that week he starts finding out all the consequences to his plea. He has much bigger problems and will have to hire another attorney to deal with this guys lack of ethics.

We havent actually hired this attorney yet, but came across him when I was looking for an attorney for my boyfriend whos trying to beat a pretty serious charge. I wont go into much detail, but I called this attorneys office on behalf of my friend and was told by Mr. Michael Lowes assistant to tell my boyfriend to call so that they could get the situation from him and see what they could do to help him...Fine, no problem. I gave my boyfriend his phone number and told him to call the attorneys office and explain his situation as I was instructed. My boyfriend didnt want to tell his assistant anything really because of the simple fact he feels the only person should know about the case IS the attorney, which I dont really blame him I mean were talking about a relatively serious charge here, so of course you want to be careful in this particular situation who you volunteer information for. He did however lay down the basics of the case to the assistant and then she replied Well you actually dont need an attorney you can do this yourself Well DUHH!! Of course he can do it himself...The problem is with this case is its in his best interest to employ an attorney. She emailed him a bunch of papers to read over and we havent heard anything else back. Wed really like to hire this attorney as I trust all of these 5 star reviews are real testimonies and I feel like he will render great results especially since my boyfriends case is pretty cut and dry, but his assistant didnt even offer to have my boyfriend come in for a consultation to speak with the lawyer to see if he could even help him which Im sure he can. We need to employ a lawyer and would really like to get Mr. Michael Lowe hired, but we need someone from this office to contact us as soon as possible so we can get scheduled for a consultation and see just how great of an attorney Mr. Lowe is. I was nervous and searching for answers. I was prepared to hire Mr. Lowe and had most of my payment gathered. I asked him if I could put $2000 down to retain him but he said no. The next time I explained to his secretary that I had $3000 for my retainer and they still refused. Maybe he didnt want to provide any service. Maybe I wasnt rich and valuable enough? One of the best choices you can make if you are having a legal issue is to hire a good criminal attorney. Under the 2014 sentencing guidelines I was facing 37 months of incarceration and not eligible for probation at all. When Michael took over my case it was already too damaged by my previous attorney and me, it took almost two years of Michael s negotiations, ideas for cooperation when we finally got the notice that the prosecutor s office was ready for a 5-year probation period with some conditions and a millionaire restitution fee. Again, Michael s negotiations and skills worked very well by bringing that fee to the low 5% of the original amount and the court allowed me to split it over 5 years. Michael was always objective and professional in regards of my case and serious situation; he never delegated key issues to an assistant and he was always available to answer my questions in a timely manner. I was overlooking for a very short sentence and by getting my probation accepted I could not believe it at first; it was like hitting the jackpot at lotto. Still no attorney can guarantee any results; hiring Michael was one of the best decisions I have ever made. What I learned from my case: find an excellent criminal attorney and never cooperate with federal agents or agencies unless there is a formal contract between the prosecutor s office and your attorney. If the prosecutor does not approve your cooperation it will be used against you at all times. I hope I will never have to see a criminal attorney in my life again, other than recommending his business to a friend or perhaps for lunch. Thank you for everything.

I called Michael and felt he was too cocky so I hired an attorney who has been in practice since the seventies. That attorney took my money and tried to get a deal for me(I was not looking for a deal). When I wouldnt accept the deal he wanted a LOT more money just to set my case for trial. My personal experience hiring him to work on a case for me vs Dallas County was dismissed .I was from out of town on business and was at the wrong place at the wrong time (Farmers Branch),I was pulled over by the police on my way onto the freeway and was asked where I was coming from and so forth , this is where things spun out of control ,next thing I knew I was asked to step out of the car and given a sobriety test ,the walk the touch your nose and the balance on one leg not to mention how dark it was on the side of the freeway, I was handcuffed and taken down to the priecent for a breathelizer which I consented to freely. Never the less I was detained for 12 hours until bond . Car towed / missed flight /etc /etc I was not happy.Once back home.,i googled top lawyers in Dallas and Michael Lowes name came up with 3 other top lawyers, and once I read their reviews I seem to want to go with Michael Lowe, I did more research and called his office and spoke with his then assistant Ana Verduzco who was very friendly and helpful and from there I was able to make a sound decision that was for the best. I found Michael through his website and highly recommend him. He was personable and very results driven. The case involved the Dallas County. I am extremely impressed with the outcome of the case. Not only did he work out a fair deal with the courts, but also made sure it would not show up on the record. I will highly recommend his services to friends and family. I have used Michael Lowes services on two occasions over the last several years. I am located outside of Texas, so I was very concerned the matter be taken care of without my intervention. Michael was the right person. He demonstrated a high level of responsibility and competence. The matters were resolved just as Michael had predicted with a favorable outcome. While not the cheapest attorney available, he is one of the best. Plus, he kept the fees reasonable even though one of the matters went much longer than estimated. He is a man of integrity and someone you can trust. I highly recommend his services.
