They did NO investigation, lied to me about my discovery, bullied me and told me I had to take a deal or Id die in prison. There was zero evidence against me. Jodi Liukkonen is the worst lawyer Ive ever heard of and to make matters worse she was not even my appointed lawyer, Andrew Dammann was! He was supposed to be there and wasnt. Ive been let down and I will be heard! I have witnesses!! I also have my brain injury and they lied about it, My life is in ruins because of this!!

Our experience with this law firm was poor communication and they did not do what they said they re going to do. And no one is ever available to answer questions. My husband s case was rejected back in June. It s September and they re just now telling us because we called asking for an update and the reason we were given was they wanted us to finish payment. Wow $3850.00 for them to do nothing. 9/25/2024 they refunded $3000 and apologized for everything. I added two stars for the apology and the refund. I was told by Brett Hauser that their company usually does not run like that it was a mistake on their end, and they were sorry. This was our experience.

I was so scared of what I was going to do and how to navigate an old case this law firm was VERY quick & provided so much help for me. I will forever be grateful, they worked with me on a payment plan which was super helpful I NEVER HAD TO CALL THEM FIRST! They always were top notch with communication in regards to court dates and etc. A call was made to notify me so was an email,even letter in mail of important updates. Dont be deceived by all these fake 5 star from probably paid source! This is the worst law firm ever, these people just stole my money and didnt offer any defense at all, the attorney Matthew Arnold was was only interested in getting me to take the deal the DA offered and blamed me for everything, even said thing that aint possible just to force me to take a deal. I had to fire them when I noticed that theyre working to satisfy the DAs office, yet they took my money for doing absolutely nothing to help my case! Mr Phelps said they can send me my refund, then after I fired them the shady part emerged, they didnt even consider the fact that I had to travel to dallas from Houston over 34 times for same case. Send me my refund now!

I chose my rating based off of my experience with the law firm. I hired the firm in Dec of 2022 and was reassured I would be taken care of no matter the outcome. I had difficulty getting my lawyers to respond to my phone calls or emails due to it is a very busy practice. Thank goodness for Allen Rust or I probably would have never talked to anyone. This doesnt make the law firm a bad one they will just need to do better in keeping in contact with their clients. My first lawyers assistant dropped the ball that caused my license to get suspended because a hearing was not setup the law firm was very nice and paid for Occupational License because of the mishap. In April of 2024 my current lawyer advised me that he would get the 21 month probation reduced, but on the day of court it stayed at the 21 month probation and when I asked about I felt that the lawyer didnt show that he even attempted to get my probation time reduced.My charge was lowered slightly so I felt that this was a win, but deep down I feel that this offer could have possibly been achieved by a public defendant that didnt cost me almost $4k in lawyer fees. All-in-all it wasnt a bad experience, but I didnt feel like it was a great experience either. If you are looking for a firm that makes you feel that you are really taken care of you may need a smaller practice. The firm is large and everyone can get very busy at times.

Wonderful lawyers!!! I was falsely accused of a serious felony involving a firearm. Had a simple argument with a family member and due to this person being jealous of me my entire life they sought any possible avenue to cast slander on my name & character & ruin my clean record. I was arrested at my home while leaving and had no idea why. 5 police cars were outside my home officers with rifles & everything. Due to the nature of the accused offense It was mandated as no bond under order of the Governor. I was still able to get a bond and be released in a few days thankfully. Long story short after about 8 months the case was dismissed and I retained my dignity and all of my rights. Matthew Arnold was my lawyer thanks a lot!!

When I first set foot in this office I wasn t sure what to expect. I had never been in trouble with the law and if I am being completely honest I was nervous for what was to come. I was falsely being accused of a crime that I did not commit. I first met with a gentleman that put my nerves at ease by advising me theyve dealt with a lot of cases like mine. He couldn t make me any promises of an outcome but gave me some worst case scenarios for someone in my situation with no previous record and in that moment that s what I needed to hear. He made me feel human, heard and seen. If you are searching for a lawyer, you know how the law can easily make you feel less than. My case dragged on for 2 years, so I can not remember the first lawyers name that I met with. He did explain to me that they were a group of lawyers that all work on cases. (So the best advice I can give is if you use this law firm and don t like your lawyer- ask for another.) But I was assigned to Jacqueline. Jacqueline is a straight up, no bullshit type of gal. Whenever I had concerns about communication she told me I wasn t her priority at that moment because she had other cases going to trial but when my case was up she would give me her all and she did just that. When the time came for us to start ramping up she returned phone calls right away, emails right away, set aside time to talk to me in person to go over details and had those one on one human conversations I needed to help me feel better in my situation. She told me she would fight for me and even though my case was dropped less than 24 hours before my trial date, I truly believe she would have gone in there and done just that.

Honestly I paid almost 3k and when I come to court if I don t blow their phone up I m the last person to get help with a private lawyer, the court appointed lawyers move faster than them. I recommend looking for services elsewhere before jumping into something like I did. The outcome was ok for the most part but this is ridiculous! My first meeting with the firm went really well, and I felt good about moving forward. My experience went a little south a few months later when I had not heard anything, so I called to get an update. I found out my attorney had left the firm, and I had no idea who I would be working with at that point. Do not, under any circumstances, give this firm a dime of your money unless you are guilty of the offense you are charged with, you are out on bail, and as far as you are concerned if your case never goes to trial you are just fine with it. This firm has no intention of moving forward with your case. They do not look at the evidence. They do not put the evidence together in a way that you can come to their office and look at it yourself. They assign the lawyer to you and if you think that lawyer is doing a bad job? Tough luck. No amount of calls or emails to the managing partner will make a damn bit of difference. Theyll give you lip service (oh sure, we will assign another lawyer to your case) as long as you still owe them money, but once you are paid in full that ends. You are stuck with a lawyer who is incapable of handling your case. I am a lawyer - not a criminal one - and I know what professional lawyer service looks like. This is not it. You are on your own. I had to write my own opening statement and witness examination outlines. I took deferred adjudication when I should have gone to trial and been acquitted (the DA did not have the evidence and the complaining witness had told some very meaningful lies that could be proved as lies) because I did not trust the attorney to do an adequate job. I was going to end up firing the attorney during opening statements and taking over my own defense and, since I dont know criminal procedure, that could have been a mess. The offer I did get should have come in about 9 months earlier than it did if the lawyer had just paid any attention whatsoever to my case. Thats 9 months of having a mug shot on the internet affecting my career. Please benefit from my experience and go somewhere else. One star is about a dozen too many for Dunham & Jones.

My experience with Dunham and Jones was very positive. From the beginning, I was treated with dignity and respect. This was my first DWI experience and it was nerve wracking but I was at ease after my initial meeting. The communication was also good. I received regular emails and text messages regarding court dates and whether I had to appear. My case eventually went to Mary-Anne Churu from the Dallas office. She is quite knowledgeable and explained all of the requirements necessary to secure the plea. She was able to get me three months less than what I initially expected, which is almost unheard of. On the day that I had to appear before the judge, she walked me through everything and explained what to expect. She is incredibly professional, thorough, easy to talk to, and kind. Afterwards, she even sent me information on non-disclosures and let me know that I could reach out to her office anytime. I called this office and spoke to an extremely rude person by the name of Patience. She told me it was strange that I was asking her questions. I told her I found the number on google and needed help with my brother s court case. There s no way a law office would allow someone to be this rude to potential clients. Id give Dunham & Jones TEN out of five stars if I could! A series of unfortunate events led me to my first experience in jail in January of this year. Im in the legal field, so I was so anxious in thinking that this would destroy my career as I knew it. I didnt necessarily have the funds to be able to hire an attorney, but I knew that it needed to be done to get the outcome I was hoping for. I submitted an online inquiry with Dunham in the evening.. maybe 7 or 8 at night and I expected a call the next morning.. no! I got a call within the hour! That quick call alone alleviated so much of my anxiety. Brett discussed a payment plan with me (like, ASKED what I could handle, didnt just tell me what it had to be). He discussed the process with me and I felt so much more at ease. Although my case wasnt even filed with the state for a few months, they called me regularly with an update stating such. When it WAS filed, boom, anxiety was back My case was assigned to Makayla Maxwell-Stallcup. We set a date for an in-person meeting at their office(s) to discuss the process from there. This meeting was SO much quicker than I thought it would be and again, it was an opportunity for all of my worries and fears to be eliminated. It was like hanging out with a friend. I never felt judged or anything of the sort. And she actually already had good news - she was doing behind the scenes work and got the prosecuting attorney to agree to a Pre-Trial Diversion class. She already had a good idea of how things were going to go, so she gave me a rundown of what to expect. I literally only had to appear in court physically o n c e. One time. Other than that, Makayla appeared for me and I got text message, e-mail, and letter correspondence confirming that. THAT is something Id have paid for in itself - because I did NOT want to have to miss work for court! The one time I met her there, we signed up for the class. I completed the class and payments about a month after that... and when I tell yall it was over.. it was over! Literally the SAME DAY I made my final payment to the court, I got an email from Makayla with a signed Dismissal letter. She also let me know how to get it all completely expunged from my record. I knew having an attorney would make it easier, but I had NO idea it was going to be THAT easy. It was seriously only 5-ish months from the time it was filed to to the time my case was OVER. Being arrested is already a huge inconvenience.. my biggest worry was that this situation was going to linger and interfere with my life and job for so long after the fact too, but she made this entire process so smooth for me from there. I KNOW that it couldve gone so differently without this law firm in my corner, because I see it happen to people every single day. I hope to never have to need this kind of help again, but if I do.. shes the only one Ill be calling. Thank you guys!

Under no circumstances would I recommend this firm . They are only interested in collecting your money . When you need help they are not interested in you . In court you are much better off with out an attorney at all . They seem to be on the side of the prosecutor , rather than their client .

After paying them over $20,000 they spent 3 years rescheduling my case until they exhausted my patience i finally hired another attorney who immediately had the case dismissed and would of had it dismissed from day 1 when he found what Dunham refused to investigate a falsified report. The Dunham firm acts more like public defenders that they do hired professional attorneys. I would steer clear of this law firm and not give them any money as when all dust cleared they returned to me $2500 lost track of $4000 and said i only paid them $12000 and would refuse to give me back my retainer. believe me when i tell you hiring this firm will be the biggest mistake you can make.

I have been dealing with a horrific incident ( wrongly accused) and I was immediately ghosted once my payment was made. Prior to that all my calls were answered.
