A dog peed on the floor and no one cleaned it up after they belatedly kicking the owner out. Workers and customers stepped in it and tracked it around the restaurant (including behind the counter).

Tried this place for the first time and it was great. Not too crowded on a Friday afternoon, good atmosphere. The chai tea latte tasted closer to an horchata which I Iove. The grilled cheese was pretty good, the tomato bisque has been one of the best I ve had. Definitely will be returning every now and then to study.

Excellent service and drink selection, and an elegant but Bishop Arts interior space. Probably not the best venue for larger groups, but that generally works to its benefit. Unfortunately became less dog friendly over time, but theyve recently upped the quality of the staff. Went from 5 to 2 to 5 stars.

I really wanted to like this place. The drinks were great, just sucks that it took 20 minutes before anyone came to greet us. Even when we sat at the bar, we were ignored. The bartender completely didn t care about us being there, so much so that they gave the wrong guest our tab. Even though I had just given it back to him. I couldn t understand why the service was so terrible until I looked around and realized what demographic was actually receiving quality service. If you re white, you ll love it. If you re anything else, good luck getting service.

Chill vibe, amazing craft cocktails & delicious food made to order! Mimo was our bartender and he was welcoming, friendly & attentive. The Chicken Tika Tacos were insanely yummy, the hot Honey Ham Croissant was just about to die for - the honey was sweet & smooth and then that kick hit and made it perfection! The Potato Hash was so buttery and melted in my mouth - its a small portion so it makes the perfect addition to any sandwich! The Old Fashioneds were incredible and the Espresso Martini & Carajillo were so smooth and delicious! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I love La Reunion and popped in to work today. Service has historically been hit or miss but there happens to be a FOH new staffer who has alllll of the hospitality vibes - welcoming folks in, remembering names, being quick and efficient. It s giving Richie at the end of Forks (IYKYK). I m a huge fan of the portfolio including Parterre and Triumphs and will absolutely stop in more often if this is the new standard at La Reunion. PS I grabbed eggs and a hashbrown scramble and these are the best eggs I ve ever had in a coffee shop

Beautiful place but the food and service was disappointing. People that arrived twenty minutes after us got their food before us and it was breakfast tacos just like we ordered. It took forever to get our food and when we finally did get it, it was cold and didn t taste good at all. Part of our order was missing as well and when we asked about it, the server said the chef said he can t make it .it was potato hash, an item on their menu. A few minutes later, she brought us a side plate of cut up potatoes that were super greasy, cold, and tasted horrible. It was a really disappointing experience and we will not be going back.

I was so excited to try this place upon seeing their coffee menu! Unfortunately the chai tea latte was one of the worst drinks Ive ever had. It was so insanely sugary I felt like I was drinking sugary milk with little to no chai flavor. Upon trying to get our waiters attention numerous times, he finally comes up to me and has an extremely confused look on his face when I explain the situation. He later dilutes it with a ton of milk, now leaving me with a cup of milk and a slight little chai flavor. Did not get refunded or asked for alternative drinks or anything. Would not come back.

Had a very strange experience here. First the food. Had a prosciutto and arugula flatbread, it was inedible. The worst thing Ive ever eaten. My gf agreed. Well no worries we came here for happy hour anyway. Specifically for the $8 nitro espresso martini. And they were very good. So when I got the bill andy 3 Martinis were $61i was quite surprised. When I asked our waitress who seemed like she was not into her shift that day about it, she just said oh sorry , were out of nitro..I was like are you kidding? So she snatched the bill and brought it back to me and comped the entire check. Well I guess this seems awesome right? No not really, it felt like I was being disrespected. I didnt have any issues with the drinks, or even the service (which was terrible but I wasnt complaining about it) so I went to another employee and tried to understand why my bill went from almost $100 to 0 and that I wanted to pAy for the drinks I ordered and enjoyed. So I was rang up for 3 happy hour drinks and I lefts $25 tip on top . Just a heads up to the people running the place. I usually get very good service in this neighborhood. Was shocked to get sick lazy rude service. Will not be back.

Great location, just like anything here in the bishop arts area. When it comes to service I m unimpressed. Barista or whomever is working the register area should be greeting or at least acknowledging guests when they walk in/ up to counter. Really brings the whole experience down a notch when staff seem unfriendly and unapproachable, and do not acknowledge you for a solid 5-7 minutes. People come to coffee shops for the experience, if I knew it was going to be so underwhelming I would ve went to Starbucks. Coffee was decent.

La Reunion could quite possibly be the perfect place to chill out, laugh with your friends, and forget everything that might be causing you to have less joy in your life. Whether its a gorgeous coffee in the morning, although its served all day, or a hand-crafted cocktail at night, this is my quintessential chill spot. There are times that I need nothing but a good ol stubby Coors banquet beer or a Modelo. Again, they are ready for you here. The birria tacos are crazy good. It lies in the heart of the Bishop Arts district, an oasis of civility in this crazy big city. Im sold on everything about this place. I just wish I would have put it together myself. The people who work and manage this place are more like buddies. They are welcoming from the jump and make you feel like you are where youre supposed to be. Everyone needs a little La in their life. Go on by. Tell them Carl Sent you. They may give you a little grief for it at first, but you will never regret the day you popped into this place.

I recently discovered a hidden gem of a bar that completely captivated me with its enchanting atmosphere and incredible live singer. The vocalists voice was pure magic, with each note resonating deeply and soothing the soul. Their mesmerizing performance created an ambiance that transcended the ordinary, effortlessly setting the tone for the entire bar/restaurant. But it wasnt just the captivating performance that impressed me; the deliciousness of the alcohol beverages added another layer of delight to the experience. Every sip was a delightful journey of flavors, carefully crafted by skilled mixologists who clearly knew their craft. From expertly balanced cocktails to an impressive selection of spirits, the drink menu was a treasure trove of libations that tantalized the taste buds and elevated the entire experience. The combination of the soul-stirring live music and the delectable beverages created an atmosphere that felt like an escape from the worries of everyday life. It was an oasis where one could immerse themselves in the melodic sounds and savor the incredible flavors, leaving all problems at the door. If youre looking for a place to unwind, let go, and be transported by the power of music while indulging in extraordinary beverages, this bar is a must-visit. The live singer will touch your heart, the drinks will please your palate, and youll leave with a renewed spirit and a desire to return to this haven of comfort and joy.

What used to be one of my favorite coffee shops is slowing becoming my least favorite. New staff, slow lines, burnt coffee, and a menu where some of their best food items have been removed or are only available after a certain time, make it hard to order and even harder to enjoy your experience. Atmosphere is still cozy and the wifi is the best youll find for a coffeeshop in Dallas. But is it worth it when the food and coffee just arent as good anymore? Youre paying a premium to come here, Coffee around the corner is $1-$2 less a cup and tastes better. The servers are nicer and faster. Bummed my favorite spot is changing. Vegetarian options: They have at least 1 vegitarian option for each meal. Breakfast is an avocado taco. Dietary restrictions: No gluten free options except until after 5. They serve a delicious cauliflower flatbread. Parking: Parking options in rear and street parking.

Beautiful spot and good coffee. As an aside, when I came they were out of milk, cream and half-and-half. As someone coming from San Francisco, next time my long-time Texas buddies make fun of my NorCal habits I m going to use this story because even in SF I can t recall a coffee shop running out of milk That said, stuff happens and they handled it gracefully and fixed me a great drink, so no complaints on my end.

Our (and our dogs!) favorite coffee shop in Bishop Arts. Solid coffee drinks and excellent breakfast options - we like the tacos and the egg sandwich - and a cozy but airy space with a pleasant indoor/outdoor patio and sidewalk tables. Lots of people co-working there during the week and a low-key drinks scene as well. I havent tried their cocktails yet, but at a glance, the whiskey selection looks good, so its on my to do list.

Moved to Bishop Arts recently and was stoked to try this spot out but the way the staff treated people was disappointing. The bartenders didnt acknowledge anyone and the dude who seemed to be the manager was pretty rude . I was there for 20-30 mins before I was able to put my drink order in!

I walked around the area and out of all the options, this one looked the best. They had opened up their indoor space and combined it with outdoor dining. It was an amazing day. I knew I would get a double shot of espresso but I let the barista recommend my brunch option. I went with the breakfast sandwich but on sourdough. Sourdough bread is my favorite. It came with bacon, egg, cheese, avocado, and aioli. It was amazing. The person to my right was influenced to order the same. She was not disappointed either. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would absolutely come back and order something else. I enjoy the atmosphere and the food thoroughly. The restaurant was almost full inside when I arrived but I was still able to find a seat at a table. There were also seats at the bar, tall tables in the back available, comfy chairs, and outdoor seating available. I had an outlet below my cushioned seat that allowed me to work on my laptop most of the day. The other lady beside me said she was there yesterday for 12 hours. I didn t stay that long but it was longer than I intended. She was still there working hard when I left. It seemed like the staff was more than understanding. Numerous people still rotated in and out regularly. Grab coffee and/or food when you are in the Bishop Arts District.

This is one of our favorite spots in Bishop Arts and its super reliable every time we come - we know what to expect and they deliver. During the day you can find people working and socializing while at night its a great date spot and hangout space with friends. Their indoor/outdoor sitting really brings it all together all time of the year. The alcoholic drinks are on point - some are quite creative. And the coffee type drinks are awesome too! And the food, although a limited menu (their kitchen is small), is stellar - everything weve had has been great. Well keep coming back!

I was pleasantly surprised at how crispy, light, and delicious the crust was (the toppings were also scrumptious)! The cocktails were also superb! I d highly recommend stopping by this unassuming yet cute spot for a vibe that s not as pretentious as the rest of Dallas usually is
