If you are looking for a bad dive bar with horrible customer service (have fun waiting for a drink for 20 minutes while there are 5 bartenders and barely any people ordering) this is the place. The seating is nice but everything else is terrible. Even after waiting, my bartender was super passive aggressive and sarcastic. They might seriously question your age as well even if you are 30+. I believe they treat locals better so some reviews might be better than others but that is no way to run a bar.

Love this place but bar service has gotten a bit surly. Paid $20 for a beer and cocktail, which seemed odd. And why did I have to wait five minutes for someone to take my order when the bar staff outnumbered the patrons? Too bad because I love the menu and vibe.

I ve been wanting to try this place for a while. When we walked in the vibe seemed great and the music was good. We stood at the bar, made eye contact with a bartender, before we could even speak he pulls out his phone, scrolls a little, looks up at us again and turned and walked away lol so we did the same. Turned and walked out. There s nothing worse than bartenders that won t serve you.

Amazing atmosphere, drinks, and food. Love this place! If I could speak on one thing, I think it would be nice to have a hostess or maybe a board where people can write down that they re waiting for a table - so there s some sort of line. Right now, it s hard to know who s waiting for a table which can be a bit confusing and chaotic. Also, the service is a bit confusing sometimes too. Sometimes it feels like the wait staff is annoyed to take your order. Are you supposed to order at the bar? Wish they would just say that instead of passive aggressively taking your order. Stoner wings, pho, tater tots, pizza are incredible. So is the lychee martini!

I have been to Cosmos many times. I absolutely love the dive bar vibe with a fireplace as an added bonus. But who knew they also served Asian food?!? I had been hearing rave reviews about the food at Cosmos and had to try it. Since were observing Dry January, we went just for the food...ordered dumplings, Korean tacos and oxtail pho. Sadly...the food is just average. Its good compared to most bar food, but does not stand up to other Asian restaurants in the area. The dumplings were so overcooked that we couldnt even pick them up with chopsticks without falling apart. The Korean taco tortillas were not cooked...tased like they were straight out of a bag and never hit the pan. The oxtail pho was very flavorful, but the oxtail was just a bone, some cartilage and fat...no meat at all. Overall...I would say this food would be a nice surprise if you got hungry while drinking at the bar...but not worth a trip JUST for the food.

Cosmos is my favorite pho in Dallas hands down and one of my favorite dive bars. Its just a nice chill bar thats great for hanging out and talking with people. I like their little patio in the back too for groups if it gets too loud or crowded inside. And if you want to play pool or change the scenery you can always go next door to the Landing.

Have been coming here nearly 4 years. Definitely a Dallas staple and while much has already been said about it on here, seeing truly is believing with Cosmo s- go check it out. Some of the best pho in town, great service and helpful staff, and chill vibes. Was recently in town for the holidays after moving out of Dallas. Going to Cosmo s felt like a warm welcome home after a long while- also speaking of warmth they literally have a fireplace and fire pit out back for the cold nights. Shoutout to two legends Jackson and Sarah, some great folks there, always making people who stop in feel valued and appreciated. New guy Chris? I think, also a rising star. 10/10

Came here after work around midnight so only had access to the late night menu. I highly recommend the Mekong tacos! Spicy and so flavorful it surprised me, i ordered it twice! The Supreme pizza was really good as well and ordered that twice. All the drinks we got were really tasty and strong. Espresso martini (GAVE ME SO MUCH ENERGY AFTER WORK ), Lychee martini (sweet and refreshing), Old fashioned (loved the citrus aroma), and French 75 (sparkly action!). Service was great and friendly. Even the people at the bar were friendly! Very nice atmosphere with the music and moody lighting. Overall was not expecting to enjoy the whole experience as much as I did. Will definately come back for the full menu to try out! Update: Came back for the full menu. The beef pho, kimchi tater tots with pork belly, fried dumplings were all good. I wanted to try the ox tail pho but the soup wasnt ready since it takes a long time to cook. Will come back for it! Parking: Not a lot of parking spots available but there is a free lot in front of the restaurant.

I cant believe I have never been into visit this amazing location. Its like someone rummage through everyones 70s 80s trash and dropped off the best parts here. Lighting, chairs, and knick knacks immediately took me back to growing up way back when. And dont forget all of the amazing VHS tapes that surround the bar. More movies than your mama or grandma used to have. The staff is super nice The drinks were super fast and I would definitely come back here again and again.

Dropped by at 12:15 am for some super late night food and drinks with my girlfriend. The bartenders are really friendly and patient since it was our first time here. The Mekong Tacos (spicy ribeye) were awesome! I don t know how they pack so much flavor into a taco! The French bread pizza was pretty darn good as well. They only had slices of the deluxe and pepperoni for the late night menu and both options tasted really good! The cocktails were delicious too. The espresso martini came out nicely and the old fashioned had just the right balance to it. 10/10 would go back here to try their full menu instead of just the late night menu.

Wonderful low-key spot for good food and drinks. Been coming here for years and never been disappointed. A little dark inside but its a cozy, retro vibe. They always have an old movie playing. The best Pho in Lakewood! I love supporting local businesses, and Cosmo s bar, and lounge is one of the many businesses that makes this enjoyable. Cosmo s is not only known for Chef Jackson s Vietnamese cuisine, but also it s eclectic, vintage, (circa 60 s) design, a huge VHS collection, of some of the greatest movies ever released, that constantly entertain, and yummy pizza, even offered by the slice. Many visitors enjoy passing their evening on the rear patio, but I prefer the lively conversations of the diverse guest at the bar, who enjoy ambience, and fair prices of Cosmo s cocktails, and the Japanese whiskey they added for me. Cosmos is cosmic. It is the best place in town to get authentic Pho and other bites with a groovy bar attached. Best seating for smal intimate time or 12 best friends. Music is just the right volume for good conversation. Owner makes you feel you like a guest in his home. A smile that reflects undeniable appreciation and authenticity. We were taking a trip to Dallas from Austin, it was our first time in Dallas. We met a girl the night before we left in Austin that recommended this bar to us and we threw it on our list. Right before heading home we agreed to get dinner here and try it out. Glad we did! Probably the best pho I ve ever had, that bowl was CLEAN when both of us were finished. The atmosphere is a retro laid back one that I really enjoyed and they also had great drink specials with tasty drinks. So glad we made it out to this place.

I wanted to love this bar, truly but I just can t. Every time I go in I have to go above and beyond to get someone to take my order. As if going out in Dallas and fighting the racist undertones of every new bar isn t exhausting enough it s been brought to my own backyard. Cosmos was a nice oasis for me to getaway from my long days for years but as of late I can t help but feel as if I m not wanted there being ignored to the point I just go to the bar next door. Went with some friends for dinner last night. Empty enough around 7pm to easily hear each other. Vietnamese food was DELICIOUS! Drinks strong. Friendly service. Around 9pm started to have more of that bar atmosphere, more crowded, etc. But that s understandable since it is more of a bar that happens to serve food. This place has greatly evolved from a true dive bar to a good lounge bar. Has fine bar top counter, complete with the good bartenders. Like the sit down area and all the movies posters found above the windows and around the place. Good music and nice atmosphere for a night out. I do miss the VHS tape player with many of the 70s, 80s, and 90s movies showing on the small TV. They stepped forward from the old days while still providing great times.

It s the staff at Cosmos that makes any night the best night. Go on a Monday and get pumped up, or Friday and really have a blast. Sarah, Jackson, Jimmy, Joe, and every member of the kitchen staff are a epic value to the Dallas late night scene. Once you ve been warmed up with libations you can order 5 star food. They have Vietnamese offerings that will elate any level of food connoisseur. The pizzas, wings, and other bar foods will also blow your mind. Friends introduced me to this bar and Im thankful they did. The lychee martinis are delicious and their food is absolutely amazing. Pork belly tacos are my consistent go to, but everything on their menu is worth tasting.

Great bar with some strong drinks. I have been to plenty of bars in my life and I have never had drinks of this caliber. There is a nice variety of drinks on the menu. We met one of the owners who was very nice and welcoming. Overall, although the drinks were a little pricey, they sure got the job done. Nice spot.

Golden eyes beers was great. The egg rolls and chicken bahnmi were also solid. I think I d try a different bahnmi rather than the egg roles next time. The bartender was very attentive to the tables even in the corner of the space. They also have a nice fireplace running.

All my friends talk about the food. 1000% I support that. I ll be the first to walk in wanting things. Aka a pizza slice & random veg item available. Admittedly my love will be for Joe. He makes you feel at home; soon as you re through the door!! Has a great wardrobe & remembers small things. (Like I m a vegetarian & we can modify this special for you). I will always sing the praises of Cosmo s for all that they add to your day; upon walking through those dark doors.

I don t think I can say enough about my visit last night. The bartender was attentive to literally everything. The service was incredible. I even found a ring on the floor that wasn t ours and he ran outside trying to return it. He even noticed the music was loud and offered to turn it down just for us. Hands down the best service I ve had in forever. I ve been here before and already knew the food and drinks are amazing! I m glad this place is still around.

Im here several days a week for the friendly, neighborhood vibe, tasty drinks and, above all else, the best bar food in Dallas. I know of no other bar that serves world-class Vietnamese food. Get the beef or oxtail pho, Seoul tacos, or egg rolls. They have really good pizza too.

This was probably the first bar I landed in when I made it to the state of bigger things in Jan 2020. I didnt know what to think at first. It has a different flow than what I am used to in the midwest but boy, did it deliver. With a lovely, get your tipsy grub on menu, this bar delivers the eats, old school jams, and any given retro classic movie you may find yourself nostalgic about. I appreciate that there is always a variety of culture within the walls and the staff is very hospitable and organized. With a Vietnamese American fusion of cuisine, everyone is sure to find something they love on the menu. One of the owners, Jackson, is quite the host. With drink prices not too hefty, you can also find a layed back atmosphere within, or strike up a conversation on their back patio. The aforementioned patio comes with a nice warm fire in the chilly season. My guilty pleasure are the egg rolls and pho. Aht aht! You gotta go and get your own!

Paid $13 for a carrot that was undercooked and when the plastic cutlery wasn t working I asked for real silverware and was embarrassed and shamed because he thought I was being rude when I was actually just trying to eat the delicious carrot. He brought me a silver fork to be petty. The bartender is trash. The food was good.
