I want so bad to give this place 5 stars. The ambiance is great- the patio is fantastic. But holy smokes replace the wait staff. There s never been a group of more unmotivated people offering unbelievably bad service to people excited to be there. I waited 20 minutes inside with 4 other people to get a beer. And when I finally received my drink from the bartender who couldn t be bothered to do anything, I was upset to learn my domestic light beer was $8 after the 25% auto gratuity. If you re going to charge auto gratuity, the service better be worth it, as it sits right now, I expect a discount for how awful the service is. This place has so much potential, please for the love of the location and the ambiance of this bar- find better servers and get rid of the absolutely insane auto gratuity.

A great neighborhood bar with super attentive and sweet staff. The personable owner is there all the time ensuring everyone is having a great time. Sports everywhere. Great patio. Pool table. And Dj s and Karaoke on some nights too. Dogs and burgers are worth it. Tots are really home fries/breakfast potatoes. Good onion rings.

The burger is what I went for. I saw on IG that people raved about the burger. It was greasy, not very flavorful and the veggies were drowned out by the grease. The curly and waffle fries were good. The chicken tenders were dry and the gravy lacked flavor. The guy playing guitar was really good. We enjoyed the live entertainment. The atmosphere seemed cool, probably a great spot to enjoy the patio on a cooler day. The bartender was very attentive and gave us great service.

This is my 2nd time going and I was very disappointed with the service I dont know if it was because the color of my skin but it took 20 minutes before I got anyones attention its like they was over looking me and it was like 6 ppl in there and 4 ppl working when they finally noticed I was there they took my order and I had to wait 20 plus more minutes while the person that took my order was eating her food and talking to her friends and when I finally got my food it was cold and I was devastated cause I came there for the veggie burger but I WANT be going back I love good service but that wasnt it

Be forewarned, an automatic gratuity of 25% will be added to your bill! We were a party of 4, surprised when we got the bill how much it was for a few burgers and fries and soft drinks, and see that nice automatic 25% charge. Very presumptuous for a neighborhood bar!! Will not be going back. Even fine dining establishments that add gratuity for *large parties* usually only add 18-20%, tops. Food was decent though. Edit after owner response: Terillis and Snuffers and Glorias do not have autogratuity much less at 25%, just to name a few. Saying 90% do is just a made up claim to justify a shady, anti-customer policy. Pointing to a sign behind the bar in fine print when you arent sitting at the bar, is a pathetic response (had to see that posted index card of a sign in one of the other reviews, lol). Put it on the menu if you want to make sure customers see it! Its two stars for the whole experience, policy included. Food was a bit above average, service was bare minimum, absolutely nothing above industry norms to deserve an above industry rate, i.e. 25%. Hence it balances out to 2 stars. Would have been maybe 3.5 (absolute tops) otherwise. Also when a restaurant is making a claim to have best burger in Dallas, and does not, Im going to ding the review for that too. Haystack, Maple and Motor, Hudson House, Neighborhood Services, Hillstone, Chips, JGs, Liberty Burger, to name a few, all have better burgers. If you want to run a European style restaurant, just raise your prices by 25%, give your servers a 25% raise, and let them *work* for anything extra by providing exceptional service. That would be more up front and honest toward your custome base.

Service was great, the drinks were strong and its such a cool vibe. Ill definitely be back! Parking: Its Greenville Ave. Parking is hit or miss,but we didnt have issues finding a spot nearby. Wheelchair accessibility: Theres easy access from the sidewalk, bathroom might be a bit snug for a wheelchair but standard door width to enter.

2024 edit: Finally had a chance to revisit LG Taps. The staff is still amazing, the food is now made in-house, and the drinks are still great! However, it is no longer the cozy dive bar it once was. They have aimed for more of a Sports-Bar vibe. It has gotten a surge of popularity it seems (super great for them!) and it was shoulder to shoulder inside with music blaring. So, still a nice place if that is what youre looking for, but just a different atmosphere from what it was a few years ago that I loved. This place is, without a doubt, my favorite dive bar I have ever been to! The staff here were phenomenal, the drinks were great and reasonably priced (especially considering all the clubs surrounding them), the food truck they had serving as a ghost kitchen was amazing as well. I was unfortunately only visiting Dallas, so I cannot frequent LG Taps as often as I would like, but if you find yourself in the area or are a local looking for a comfortable spot to call your home-bar, please give them a shot!

My boyfriend and I went here tonight, a Sunday night, and ordered a couple drinks. We ordered 2beers and 2 high noons, so not hard to make at all. Then we get the check and it charged us 25% auto gratuity. We ordered the easiest things in the menu. Then we asked the manager about it and he claimed it was because influencers had come by. I m like what influencers?? People with 10k followers are hardly influencers. They made us pay the 25% anyways. The thing was we didn t mind tipping but we thought 25% for drinks that you don t even have to make is ridiculous. We would ve happily just tipped 18-20% but I would not go back here. As other reviewers have noted, they automatically a 25% gratuity, but I was surprised to see that they also add it to TAKE-OUT orders! I can understand it for eat-in orders, but take-out? Come on, guys. I ordered 2 burgers to go and the mandatory gratuity was $6.50 plus tax. The total bill for 2 take-out burgers came to $35. When the bartender/waitress brought me the check, she said, This already includes a gratuity, so are you sure I cant get you some water or something? Umm, in what bone-dry desert universe does a glass of tap water justify the $6.50 charge? I wouldnt have bothered reviewing if the food was good, but the burgers and fries were so salty I ended up throwing most of the food away. Adds a 25% gratuity on every tab. We were at the bar the whole time and did not leave the establishment. There were 4 of us and the tsb was under $30 before the forced gratuity. Edit after owner review: Does your integrity cost $5? Mine neither. The $5 was refunded but only after raising the issue with multiple employees that it was added outside their posted policy. The special event ended more than 4 hours before and there was no posted mention of exceptions to their policy for it. The review stands to warn others from the same unpleasant surprise.

We were excited when this place re-opened as we always enjoyed coming here before concerts. However, although the beers were good and the place is very clean, there were some negatives, the biggest being the whopping 25% service charge. The tax is added on top! I don t care what the management says, there are no visible signs explaining the policy. Also, the TV audio was way too loud! A smile from the bar staff would have been nice. 2 5 % Auto Tip Charge for sitting at the bar directly across from bartender and ordering a burger and beer for two .Then they leave the additional tip blank on your check hoping you won t catch it and you will tip even more than the 2 5 %. A renovated old house converted into a bar with so much space. Great place for a birthday party! My group dressed in neon 80s and had the best of outdoor space and indoor dj nightlife. If you re coming here for cocktails, don t. I had a margarita and it was quite literally the worst one I ve ever had. Stick to their canned options or tap. Also the female bartender was definitely wasted. She spilled a clients beer while clearing the table, and on her way back dropped the glass cups which shattered. We didn t see her serving after that. So much potential! Go for the drinks not the food burger was black and very pink after being sent back once (turn the grill down). The manager was nice enough to remove it from our bill without us asking. Powerwash/bleach dumpsters and dumpster area! Multiple people moved from the awesome back area bc of the terrible smell. Although the review below about this place not being kid friendly is rubbish. My husband found this bar and grill on social media. We thought we were going to more of a restaurant type setting only to find out that it was basically a bar. We had our kids with us and decided to stay and give it a try since the food reviews were so good. After experiencing for ourselves we both feel like the positive reviews are probably from friends of the owner. They made it seem like the burgers were really good. In all honesty, Whataburger was better in our opinion. There was nothing special about the burgers and the chef was very heavy handed on the black pepper. So all that to say, if you think you are going to a family friendly environment, please choose somewhere else to eat. To add to our disappointment they actually added a 25% gratuity charge which they call a service charge. P.S. My husband ordered the chili and he said it basically taste like Tabasco and ground meat . We will not be back!

LG has been my favorite dive bar. I ve had birthday parties there, celebrated friends and family, and relaxed after my shifts in the service industry there. It has always been a fun spot to hang out. Unfortunately, the last times I ve been there have been a little unpleasant due to the customer service of some of their employees under new management. One night I had JUST arrived and sat down on their front patio with friends. The kitchen had JUST opened the night before so we had pizza from the place next door (as people always did) and we sat down before going in and getting drinks. A manager? or a bartender? came out and asked for our ids then proceeded to tell us this isn t a playground and told us we needed to buy drinks and talking to us as children. (I am an adult woman coming to this bar for months now.) This person basically verbally forced us to go get a drink if we re going to hang out there. Then when I went in to get a drink, I was helped by the bartender and left my tip on the tab. This employee who id-ed us, picked up my tab from the bar and examined it to see it. He never helped at all, just being nosy! He never told us who he was or if he was even a manager. I have loved this bar and I still do, I just really hope they tone down the god complex these new owners have & provide a good atmosphere again.

Came before it was cool came today 5-6-23 and it s PLAYOFF basketball and they decided to show only horse racing..ordered a drink and it was barely was a shot worth and my tab had a 25% auto tab tip?!!! 25%?!! I reallyyy wanted to like this place, but We went on a Sunday afternoon and had the cheeseburger and the Texas hotdog (both ok). The food was priced fair, $12, $11 with 2 fries at an extra cost. The drink prices were decent (given the bartender didn t have a heavy hand). HOWEVER, I am completely disturbed by this delivery fee for a dine-in tab. It s a whopping 25% of our bill. No one told us about it and I had to ask several follow up questions before the staff admitted that this is an automatic gratuity. I m sorry but the service was not deserving of a 25% tip! It wasn t terrible but to give customers no choice and no warning is petty theft. It has potential but smoking is permitted at a place where kids and pets are welcome. Parking sucks as with most places on Greenville Ave. I will not be back, ever.

Stopped in for lunch and had some fantastic burgers! The staff and owner were friendly and welcoming. Great first time in and will definitely go back. Theyve got an awesome environment with games and space out front as well as out back. Highly recommend checking it out. They do karaoke, comedy night, music bingo so lots of fun evening activities too.

Was really excited about trying this place. Saw some buzz on socials and saw self claims and other say it was best burger in Dallas . That s just not even remotely true. My buddies and I love to try new burger places. We all thought burger was totally average. I wouldn t even typically leave a review for food being decent. The issue I had was with service. It was VERY bad. VERY. Bartenders were way too busy with their phones to risk being inconvenienced by patrons. Much better food options elsewhere with much better service that doesn t make you feel like a nuisance. If the service had been good I could see myself going back for drinks. I did like the bar and the vibe. Service was just way too bad to risk that again.

I met the owner of this bar yesterday and he was a hoot! He has a big heart and big everything else. I mean look at this guy! If youre looking for a chill spot with a great patio to watch the big game, this is the spot for you. They also run a weekly standup comedy open mic with some pretty hilarious comedians on Wednesday nights.

I was really looking forward to trying this place. Guess I never will. I Wont be back. Tried being polite waiting for service workers to finish with other customers or having conversations. Which I dont have an issue with, However, when finally asked are you ok. I said yes Im ready to order while handing back the menu. Takes menu back and continues conversation with a coworker not taking my order at all. I just walked out and wrote this review in the parking lot. Im sure other ppl have had great experiences here but LIFE WAS NOT GOOD here for me. 1star because I got no food, no service lifes good no longer on must-try places.

Ordered the burger with grilled Jalapeños. Burger was good. Didnt get the Jalapeños. Told the bar tender. He comes out with them 15 min later and he can see I was done. Apologized when he saw I was done and kept the Jalapeños on the ticket. I understand things happen but this a basic customer service problem. I didnt get them with my order

New ownership means way better service! My partner and I last went to LG Taps before the switch to Life s Good Bar & Grill and I found something dirty floating in my glass. I m about to age my self but this place is worth it. There used to be this show called cheers where everyone knew your name . Well this is the real life incarnation. Except people don t keep coming back because they know the people, but because they know they can get consistently good food and drink. I ve been in a few times and somehow the bartenders have remembered me each time. Which is nice but not what s important to me. I want a strong pour and good food. Well that s how they got the five star. You can call me ugly to my face if you pour me a strong drink and feed me great food. I m not one to be over dramatic but this is a place where I know I can bring friends for a good time or show up by myself for a good meal and great people watching. I ve brought friends here, I ve made friends here this is as close to cheers as I get. It s not fancy, it s not pretentious but it s good and its consistent which is actually hard to find in Dallas.

I went here because of the advertisement on social media because of the burgers and drinks they have everywhere on their page so I decided to take my hubby to eat the best burger in Dallas, well when we walked in we were no greeted I ask for a drink menu and there wasn t one but they have drinks on every page.. I ordered us some burgers and fries and immediately after the bar tender asked for my credit card for a tab I did not order no alcoholic drinks I only ordered hamburgers and fries why would I need to give you my credit card? I know from experience when they ask you for your credit card they are automatically assuming you can t pay and that was the icing on the cake for me I told him I m not leaving my card with you but I ll pay for my food before I get it and he said ok, this is a restaurant I thought you paid for food after you eat!!! The place was not welcoming it did not smell good the bartender was not welcoming at all. I have a large social media presence and I ve already told them not to go to this place.. There were others in that bar and I guarantee you they wasn t asked to leave their credit card at the bar, the place just looks old the burgers were not good and everybody who s saying they are good on those videos are lying.. the drinks they post do not exist and the bartender got mad when I let him know they were false advertising on social media the patio was not clean the table was not clean I hope the owner sees this comment and roll back the camera for 2/15/23 and see how they treated myself and my husband. I would not recommend this place to black ppl because you might get asked to leave your card at the bar with a stranger for a tab for hamburgers!!! Pappadeaux would never!!! Burger street and Griffs has way better burgers than this place.. stop false advertising and stop treating ppl of color like thieves we pay for meals we don t steal!! Zero stars I would never go back!

I had a great experience here while waiting for a concert at the Granada. The bartender was great, and made suggestions about local beers. The crowd was very friendly, and happy to welcome some tourists to Dallas. I also had a birria quesadilla that was one of the best things Id eaten all week. It came with a FANTASTIC smoky dipping sauce. I wish I lived closer, because Id come back to this bar very regularly.
