A smaller, more approachable, and more child-friendly experience than the Dallas World Aquarium at a more affordable price. A membership here combined with a Texas Discovery Gardens membership is great for families.

This aquarium is old!!! It was built in 1936 but it has cool stuff to come in and observe. If youre budgeting this is a great place to go if you compare it to the Dallas aquarium. You can watch all the stuff in like an hour or so. We got disappointed when they told they were going to feed the octopus and nothing happened. Parking for the place is right out front and its an easy walk to the aquarium.

Its great for my autistic son he loves going here and just across the roundabout theres a model train that runs almost yearround. Just wish the state fair would keep in mind that some disabled (Im on crutches) have difficulty walking from a parking lot because they have the normal entrance to parking blocked off so you have to trek about 1/4 mile just to get there

Cute place. We went when the fair was not going on. Parking is easy if you know where to go (I didnt at first). Being there right when it opens makes it hard because you dont see other cars around. Its obvious what to do once other cars are there. First, you will feel like you are driving where you shouldnt. Even another car was lost like I was at first. There are signs by the big fair lots saying parking is in front of the museum, but they have no arrows. Best way I can explain it is drive up the slight curb onto the cobble style road and have your GPS literally bring you to the front door. You can park on either side of the road or in front of the band shell building which is what we did. They almost need to put signs along that band shell and on the road saying parking for aquarium. See 2 extra photos of screenshots from maps to see what Im reference. As for the aquarium itself, it takes about an hour to go through at a normal pace. You can make it last longer if you want or if your kids need to stare at each animal for more than a minute. It starts indoors and then goes outdoors (covered) to see stingrays and then goes back indoors. There is a little gift shop at the exit that you can buy bags of dirt with hidden rocks. Take the bag out front and use the water station to have them mine for the treasures. Cute concept, and the kids ended up just playing with the trays and water for a bit.

This place is amazing! Its just the right size for our family so we can go for as little as 30m or stay as long as 2hrs. They frequently have fun kid-friendly activities outside, and theyve done multiple theme days with little giveaways for the kids. 100% recommended. The membership pays for itself very quickly.

*Service Dogs Beware* I took my son and 2 siblings to go for a visit at this aquarium. I require a service dog and have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in all my time of having a SD. We were greeted at the front by a very condescending employee who felt the need to remind me that since this is an exhibit, I need to keep my dog under control thanks for the advice Karen, I m well aware of how my dog and I need to handle themselves. To add to the already unwelcoming beginning, they had one of the employees follow us around for most of our visit. He got so close to us, bystanders had to of thought he was apart of our group. We loved the aquarium itself but they need to have ADA and general Service Dog access training for their employees. Completely unacceptable.

My son has so much fun petting the sting rays & putting his hands into the tank with mini fish. Hes a sensory learner, so he gains a lot of knowledge from being there. He loves it when I get him the sack of stones or fossils when we leave. It costs extra, but he gets a chance to sift through sand looking for treasure. The museum has a card that he can match them to & he talks about the entire ride home, including into the evening. Its well worth the investment.

The aquarium is okay! I don t think it s worth 15 dollars for entry! It is very small! They have a room when you first enter with aquariums, then they have where you can feed the sting rays probably the coolest part about this aquarium. The food to feed them is 3 dollars for small pieces of part of a fish. Then they have a secondary part which is a little bigger area where they have eels and iguanas and so forth with kids to color. By the exit they have the fish to eat the dead skin off your hands (my sons favorite) then a tiny gift store. Call and check if there is a field trip there because if so it will be packed especially since it s so little. Overall you would better off be going to the Fort Worth zoo, it s cheaper and you get access to an aquarium and animals with a play area! Better bang for your buck!

Even for my not-quite-walking son, he had so much fun looking at everything in his stroller and even standing holding our hand by the stingrays! Everyone was so nice and the person by the stingrays even helped us find a spot where my son could see. We had a relatively big stroller and were able to go everywhere with ease, and there are ramps outside as well so it would be easily wheelchair accessible. Every person we encountered was so kind, helpful, and receptive to questions! I so recommend for families of all ages!

Our visit to the Childrens Aquarium in Dallas was fantastic! Navigating with strollers was a breeze in the well-designed layout. The relatively uncrowded environment allowed our children to fully enjoy the various interactive activities. While a few exhibits were under construction, the only suggestion would be to add more signs for additional information on current exhibits. Despite this minor aspect, it was an overall delightful experience for our family, resulting in the creation of some truly enjoyable memories. Tickets are $13+ for adults and a season pass is $32. If you plan to go more than 2 a year it s worth the season pass. Kids 3-12? Are $9 a ticket or $32 a pass. So if you go 3 times a year it s worth getting them a pass.

There are so many great things I can say about the Children s Aquarium @ Fair Park. My favorite is Stingray Bay, I also really enjoy walking through looking at all the different exhibits. They even had a live Santa in the tank, taking pictures with the kids for Christmas! Their guest services associate Zacari, can literally walk you through the entire building, giving you facts & interesting information about just about everything in the building lol. She is VERY knowledgeable, friendly & outgoing! I would recommend a child s party here!

We are so happy this place opened back up after covid. We have been here at least 25 times! It is a small space, but there are interactive activities like petting or feeding the stingrays. Its in a good area because you are right by other museums and even the butterfly gardens. I t is reasonably priced, and the staff has always been nice. Definitely check this place out!

I visited this aquarium with my boyfriend recently and had a blast! I absolutely adored the staff as they were all super helpful and knowledgeable on all the various fish. My favorite part had to be the sting rays as they are very friendly and adorable!

It is a very small aquarium, but the tickets were comparably cheap compared to most aquariums (less than $30 for two adults!) Probably couldve walked through in less than 20 minutes, but there are some seats to sit down and stare at the fish to take up more time. There is a sting ray petting station and a gift shop to spend more time inside too.

This aquarium is small, but it is affordable and super nice! Great selection of sea life to view. Most exhibits are at a level that toddlers can see without being lifted. The entry fee alone is justified by the mini spa you get with the exfoliating fish by the entry. There is also an outside portion with really cool views of the shark tank and sting ray petting. A great time was had.
