Came here on a monday - fantastic energy, great dim lighting really cemented the setting and atmosphere! Had the chicken tenders and they did not let me down!! (Really, try them!). Had one minor misshap and the staff/manager were quick to rectify it! - Jaden (our waitress) was F-Fantastic. Superb personality and made the experience that much better!

If you are ever in the Dallas area and are looking for a great dining experience in the downtown area. I highly recommend The Standard Pour! It is in the perfect central location that you can walk to other clubs and bars if you like after you eat. The atmosphere is great, they have a very nice outdoor seating area that is air conditioned so you dont have to worry about getting too hot. I was visiting the Dallas area from Houston, so was happy to hear that bringing my service dog was not an issue (of course he was kept in a kennel). The food and drinks were great. We loved the bacon wrapped jalapeños! I had the salmon, which I loved - it did come with a Lemon Caper Cream sauce that I wasnt a fan of, but thats more about me being picky than anything else. However, the salmon tastes amazing with the sauce that comes with the peppers. My wife initially ordered the Tenderloin Steak Sandwich, but she didnt like it very much. They were kind enough to take it back and brought her a TSP Burger instead - which she loved! Their drink options are very unique; and they have great customer service! Also - and this is very random - their bathroom smelled amazing and was very clean. There is a paid parking lot behind the establishment and it is $25 on the weekend, which seems like a lot BUT you can leave you car there for like 12 hours or something like that. So, basically all night! Only bad thing is that the lot is kind of tight so if people dont park right...it lessens the spaces available. All in all, we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back! Parking: There is a paid parking lot behind the establishment and it is $25 on the weekend, which seems like a lot BUT you can leave you car there for like 12 hours or something like that. Update: This issue was resolved with the manager. We will come back to experience this place with a better server. Where do I start? This was my first time coming here. I came with my husband and some friends. The service we experienced was unique to say the least. Our waitress took our drink orders and then awhile later she took our food orders. She came back a couple times to confirm our food orders and something was wrong on the order. Another waitress helped fix her mistake. We eventually get our food and everything is good. I enjoyed the lobster ravioli. My husband thought his steak was mediocre. Then the waitress takes our drink order again. My husband gets his beer, but the rest of us (5 people) don t get our drinks. Another waitress comes over to confirm our drink orders because they were put in, but they re not correct. (One of us ordered a martini, but an order for a vodka soda was put in. I ordered a cucumber smash, and some other drink was put in.) Eventually some of our drinks come out. My friend gets his drink, and he receives a vodka martini, but he had ordered a regular dirty martini with gin. Our waitress takes it back and then proceeds to immediately bring it back out for him to try even though she knows it s the wrong drink. She keeps telling my friend that she can take it back, but makes it sound like he should just keep it. So, he eventually says it s fine because she isn t taking it back. But then she takes it back and he gets his correct order. Great. Everyone in our party except for me has our drink orders. At this point, all of us have finished our food (we had ordered drinks to go with our food) so I don t say anything about my drink. The order was put in twice, but now it isn t relevant because we re all done eating and we just want to leave since the service has been so bad. We ask for our checks and the waitress comes to close us out. My husband and I pay. Then she has to leave and come back at least 3 times because she has messed up the order of the rest of our party because she doesn t have the right stuff on the bill and she has all these extra items listed. Eventually they pay. We walk out. Our waitress comes running out after us and tells me and my husband that she needs to tap us out. We tell her we already paid. She continues to try and pull up a bill for us to pay and she s definitely slurring her words. My husband has to pull out his phone to show her that our credit card has already been charged. Absolutely ridiculous. I feel like we could have had a wonderful experience here, but because our waitress was probably on something, it ended up being the longest night just trying to correct all the mistakes.

*Edit: The GM reached out to me immediately after the below incident and resolved everything to our party s satisfaction. Perfect service is not always to be expected, but how the restaurant handles bad service is more important. Again, we would happily return to TSP and don t expect to run into the same issues a second time! ************************** Decent food and drinks but overshadowed by awful service. After getting our first round of drinks and apps, our waitress disappeared and didn t come back for at least 30 minutes before taking our orders for main dishes. After ordering, she came back a second time a few minutes later to ask our party of 6 what each of us ordered. She then returned a few minutes later for a 3rd time to ask us what we ordered. Unfortunately she still managed to not get the order accurate. Later in the night, we ordered our second round of drinks. About 15 minutes passed and our waitress spent most of her time talking with another table of guys next to us. We flagged her down and asked when our drinks would come out. She asked us all what we ordered since she forgot to put in our order. Another 10-15 minutes and still no drinks. Again, she spent several minutes with the same group of guys next to us. We finally got another waitress to check on our drinks which still hadn t been put in. She took all Of our orders for a 3rd time. To no surprise, only 3 of us got the correct drinks and one of us never even got their drink. To cap it off, it took our waitress 5-6 attempts to close out our tab. We split the check and after I paid, she struggled to get the correct bill for our other half, making multiple trips into the back and coming out with an incorrect bill each time. She did apologize but kept blaming it on a busy night and being in school ? She also was slurring her words and not making a lot of sense. After 2 and a half hours at the restaurant we were finally able to leave. BUT THAT WASN T THE END. Our waitress came rushing out of the restaurant and told me she still needed to charge me. Interaction as follows: Waitress: I still need to close you out Me: We already paid Waitress: sorrrryyyy, issss my faaaaul. I need to bill youuu tho. Me: we already paid though. *pulls out my phone, shows credit card app and charge from restaurant pending* Waitress: sorrryyyy isss my fault. I m in school. Then she rushed back inside. Not sure if she was drunk or on something but she was definitely not okay. Understandable that weekend nights are busy and service can t be perfect, but this was beyond that. Anyway, would come back as long as she is not our waitress. Food and drinks were quite good and the prices are more than reasonable.

SO disappointed. Yet again. My husband & I ordered the same meal, steak frites. Both steaks lacked flavor & were not cooked well. The requested caramelized onions were literally burnt, the brussel sprouts were not crispy they were also burnt. Sweet potato fries were just OK mostly warm some fries were cold.. Jalapeños wrapped in bacon lacked filling so all we really could taste was barbecue sauce jalapeños and bacon.. this was literally the most disappointing meal ever, $107 later and all we can talk about is how we would never return. Especially after explaining to our waiter Brittany, we were not satisfied and I BARELY ate my meal. Nothing was done to make up for the disappointment. I ve been to this establishment many times & this is my final review.

Really cool spot. 4.5 stars. Atmosphere is spot on. Neat vibe as a whiskey bar. Really cozy. Service was good, though a tad on the slow side. And food was solid (we had brunch), though nothing out of this world. I would certainly brunch here again, but I will absolutely be back soon for evening drinks. Parking: If you dont want to pay in the lot youll probably have to go a block or two down the street like we did.

It was brunch. They had a performer siinging. He was spectacular. Service was a little slow, but they were kinda busy. I ordered a diet coke that sat empty for 20 mins and never got a refill. I also didnt ask for a refill so maybe it was that. No idea what our servers name was. I dont recall her telling us. Food came out quick. The atmosphere was fun and pleasant. Parking: Its paid parking next to the building. Otherwise you gotta find a place on the street.

My husband and I moved to Uptown and we ve made this our go-to spot. Drinks are delicious and the food is really good! We ve tried many different appetizers but our favorites are the mozzarella sticks, and the chicken strips they re insanely big. Service can get a little slow depending on how busy they are, which is totally understandable, that doesn t stop us from coming back because the atmosphere is great!

We ended up here during the Mavs playoff series because it was the only place in the area that had food and was showing the game. Great choice! We got there right before the crowd and scored two seats at the end of the bar. Our bartender was attentive, the food was timely and delicious, and the crowd was cheering like they should. Parking is $25, which is a bummer when you cant get a spot on the street. But if youre in walking distance, I highly recommend.

Used to love coming here when I lived in Uptown, but after our brunch experience will not be returning. We ordered entrees, champagne, and other drinks for the table. Took literally an hour for our food to arrive, with no check-ins from our server. Cool bar for happy hour I love that they allow reservations via OpenTable. Service was great, drinks were good. During the summer they close in their patio and with fans and some AC its comfortable but still a little bit warm. Only downside is it was super super loud. Spent the afternoon yelling at my friend just to have a conversation. Recommend going on off peak times.

If you are a person of color, DO NOT COME HERE ! My friend and I came here for Happy Hour. Our experience was less than standard. The manager, Jason, had it out for us since we got here. We were told the wait for a table was 30mins. When 40 mins rolled around, my friend asked how long the wait was for. His response was I can t tell anyone to get up . That was not our question! Later on in the night he begins to pack our food. We ask him as to why he is doing this, his response you haven t ordered food or drinks so you should be getting ready to go ! We were not done drinking and we ended up ordering another round, after the fact. I tried to talk to him about his reasoning as to why our food was packed but the people around us, did not get the same experience; when they had been done several minutes prior to us. His response I don t have time for this and simply walked away. He proceeded to tell the waiter our drinks were on him. He must be new because no one seems to know his last name. After he offered to buy our round, we were approached by security and asked to leave, before police were called. We politely said we would leave once we finished our drinks. I would love to get a response from the Owner!

I come into here 2-3 times a week and the bald bartender is the absolute worst. Every time I come in and he s working I want to leave immediately. He s rude and talks down to me. Typically I will have one beer and leave, his attitude is inexcusable. He gives me his dirty looks and rolls his eyes. He s seems to be nice to men customers. But I m a regular so it takes a lot for me to say anything but until the bartender changes I m done here.

I have come to The Standard Pour plenty of times and always enjoyed myself, but this visit was very disappointing. The host was dry and acted as if he didn t want us to be there. I feel like it was because of us being African American. The uncalled for tension was so thick I felt it as soon as I walked up. He didn t greet us so I said hello I have a reservation with a smile, he glared and said name . We were sat in the back corner as he slammed the menus on the table and then we barely got served. We were told 3 different times on when we could order food and the waitress got upset with us because she told us the wrong information. We decided to leave after one drink and an appetizer. I have spent so much money here and to be treated the way I was treated is not ok. I don t know if I will ever be back. I am never treated like this at Moxies, Morton s, Ruth Chris, STK, not even Capital Grille. Maybe I should continue to give them my money and leave this place alone. I m extremely disgusted and disappointed!

I had cocktails here twice with a colleague while visiting Dallas. The first night was amazing. The old fashions were absolutely out of this world. They also took a few minutes to make. The second night the old fashion was poured out of sight from behind a corner, took 15 seconds to retrieve, and tasted like pure rubbing alcohol. Our waitress, Catie, was absolutely horrendous. In her section of tables she purposefully kept skipping past our table and ignoring us. We didn t even care that we had to wait the 2 hours for our chicken tenders and fries. This place is always popping no matter which night of the week it is or what time it is. The food here is second to none when it comes to late night spots. They make some of the best steak sandwiches in Dallas. Cocktails were also great, I highly recommend this spot.

Ordered mimosa carafe with two juices, and they mixed the juices together, instead of setting the juice aside to be mixed individually The restaurant gave me a pub feel, but customer service was good! Tonight was my first time visiting and I came due to being recommended from Tik Tok. Over server Lauren was beyond amazing and personable. As someone who works in the service industry I could tell her interactions were very genuine and she was an overall great person. The food was pretty good as well and the music was very diverse but still modern and not extremely loud which I loved as well. Ill def be back.

Started off as a good night with bartender turning our night into one not to remember. Constant unsavory comments in front of my wife on her Birthday, then overcharged us and I had to ask for a refund. He got angry for me asking a refund, then out the way out yells out an insult as we are walking out loud enough for all other patrons to hear. Nice bar let down by poor bartender. Will not return while he works here. Update, no response from the manager as mentioned in their response.

Last week two friends and I had a decent feed at The Standard Pour. The lobster ravioli was delicious. Our server, Gabby, was outstanding and certainly made us two Aussies feel welcome. We were wondering what shot to go with, to finish off the night. She recommended a lemon drops shot, which was certainly an excellent suggestion cheers to you Gabby!
