I ve been to the heights dozens of times. It is a staple here in Lakewood . The servers and staff are all kind and attentive. Even though it gets crowded, the environment is consistently relaxed. My concern lies in the chicken wings. I order them almost every visit; they are the best wings I ve ever tried. And I ve eaten many a wing. To quote my partner how many chickens have died for you? . They use(d) jumbo wings that provided the perfect ratio of crispy + juicy. The current wings aren t bad, but they aren t great either. When I was served the new wings earlier this week, they appeared sad and meager, a diminutive match for their predecessor. I hope this is temporary

It was 80 degrees in there on Saturday. Too hot to enjoy the experience. The food was adequate for the price, although the potatoes didnt hold their heat in the window. Waitstaff was attentive and covered for each other, cleaning tables, filling water and coffee. Even the hostess pitched in. If your kid needs a part-time job, theyre either hiring right or teacing them right....bravo!

This restaurant makes amazing food. Their small menu means that do everything on that menu very, very well. Whenever we want a good hearty meal, we go here. The vibes are a great mix of cool and casual. Parking: Parking is directly out front. There is no valet or parking garage. I can usually find a spot in the parking lot easily.

Wanted to try a new place and they had decent reviews and pictures looked good. Service was standard. Ordered the basic breakfast with bacon. Bit into the bacon and it crumbled it was so hard. I asked for bacon a little less crispy. It looked as though the cook just grabbed some bacon and threw in the one fryer for 2 seconds and then threw it on a plate. I know bacon is greasy but there was grease all over the plate and the very limp bacon. I had to ask if there s any way I can please have some bacon that s cooked but not rock hard. The server took it upon himself to just cancel the bacon all together and not bring any. Won t go back and will not recommend.

I live in the neighborhood and usually love The Heights. I have come here numerous times over the years for both brunch and dinner, and the food and service is typically good. I went to dinner last night, and had the worst customer service I have had in a very long time. I was seated at a table and waited 10 minutes to even have a glass of water delivered. I waited another 10 minutes before having to flag one of the two servers down to ask for a beverage. The older gentlemen waiter said that he would return to take our dinner order. My guest and I waited another 30 minutes to order, and the waiter never returned despite having to walk past our table several times on his way to and from the kitchen. He returned to adjacent tables to take dessert orders while we waited to place our dinner order, and it almost seemed like he was intentionally ignoring us at several points. My guest and I eventually got up and left the restaurant. We walked right past the waiter on the way out and he did not say anything to us or attempt to stop us. It was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I will find it difficult to return there.

This is one of our go to places in Lakewood! We are there once, maybe twice, a week! We love all the servers and bartenders! The food was great. However, the mistake was sitting at the bar. The bartender was obviously more attentive to those who appeared to be regulars . He did not ask if I was enjoying the meal; he did not ask if I needed more water; I had to wave him down just to get the bill and wave him down once more so he could run my card. Though the service was bad, I did tip him, however. Here is one more tip Al*x needs to improve on his customer service. It may be called The Heights but bad customer service can easily make it feel like The Lows

Came with friends after hearing all of the great things about the wings. Everyone at my table got the wings so I wanted to change it up. I got the Pot Roast and was not disappointed. The collards were a little different than what I m used to but were still very good. My first glass of wine was not a good pour (I used to sell wine so I know). I commented about it to my waitress in a teasing manner and she made it right with the 2nd glass. I will definitely be back. Great food and great service.

Love love love this restaurant. I eat here whenever I m in the Lakewood area. The Steak Frites and the deviled eggs are my personal go to. The Cesar salad and the Max & cheese where had by my companion. Mac & cheese was perfect. Not super runny but not to thick and the perfect amount of crumb. My Steak Frites was absolutely delish. Steak was cooked to perfection and the roasted potatoes were were well seasoned. The apple side salad was a great balance of sweet to the savory flavors. And the deviled eggs are a great starter. They have slight kick as a finish from the dollop of Sriracha. Overall a great menu. We had to take dessert to go because we were so full from dinner. This is a definite must try if you are in the Lakewood area.

We have been here a few times at this point, the service alone beats anywhere else around, very attentive and quick! We sat down for breakfast at 930 and were done by a little past 10! Earlier morning there wasnt much of a wait either! The food was very good too! They know what theyre doing, I had the migas and they were amazing, definitely my favorite thing on the menu (that Ive tried so far) my husband absolutely loves the hash, and we get the oatmeal pancakes for the kids and they love them! Parking was pretty good here. I was surprised since Lakewood parking can be hit or miss. Service was amazing. She was attentive but not in our face. The pancakes were to DIE for. Im still thinking about them. I also ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were dense, which was fine, but the gravy was almost frothy? My texture alarm wouldnt let me eat them. I dont know if this was a me thing though. It definitely didnt have gravy consistency though. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Im not one for crowds and the table next to us was genial and very talkative, even with us, but the overall place was calming.

After one of our most stressful weekends in recent memory, my wife and I needed a slow morning. We happened upon The Heights for Sunday brunch and sat on the patio. This brunch experience was like a soothing balm. The Full City Rooster coffee was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and topped with fresh fruit. Even the location was great, since the adjacent parking lot functions as a buffer zone between the patio area and Abrams. We will most certainly be back.

Great value and superb food. It s a cozy little bar with outdoor seating too. I had the bbq blue cheese burger. I did ask for the bbq sauce in the side because some bbq sauces are meh. Theirs was a perfect mix of tangy and sweet. Mixed with the beef if the burger and that savory blue cheese it was *chef s kiss* perfect. Fries were great too. Loved the old fashioned I had. The first time I came here I wanted to get a coffee drink to-go. I d just moved to Lakewood and saw this place mentioned many times when it came to brunch and coffee. I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes and no one acknowledged me. I ended up leaving because I couldn t get anyone to offer any service. Today my husband and I decided to give it another shot for brunch. We were sat quickly and the host brought a high chair over for our young son. When the server came to greet us my husband mentioned the buckle on the high chair was broken so could we get another one. The server informed us it was a bar and no, all of the buckles on every highchair were broken. He seemed irritated we were there so we left and won t go back.

Its actually a wonderful place and the food selections are good and tasty. The past couple of times Ive gone the vibes have changed and they didnt have a few items from a already small menu. I would also like to add that I return for the food because it was tasty but I NEVER FEEL WELCOMED EITHER. Brisket Pot Roast was really good, large portions as well. So I had lunch & dinner for $18. This place is a Gastropub & seating is quite tight. Food was great for the price. Coffee was delicious, mimosas as well. I only have one complaint our waiter was not very attentive with us, we had other waiters coming to refil our coffee or pick up our plates. Other than that I would comeback

This is our go-to place three to four times a week. The food is great, the staff is friendly and professional, and the the ambience is really comfortable. Best steak frites in town, awesome baked chicken, perfect collards and their burgers cant be beat!

Wow! Great breakfast! My brother, a local teacher, invited my wife and I. We were served by one of his past students who was awesome! The outdoor seating is limited with a short wait, but sitting in the morning sun was GRAND! Im sure we will be back!

A Lakewood Legend that captures the neighborhood vibe as well as the leader in excellent food and cocktail menu and specials. I had a grilled striped bass which was amazing. The bar is superior. So happy to have a place to done in as we emerge from the pandemic. Masks are still required.

Company doesnt care those who try a New Restaurant... The Heights, a friend recommend this place, they dont believe customers ARE RIGHT... This world has changed man NO LONGER CARE...!!! SO NO NEW CUSTOMERS...!!! A woman answered phone , I tried to explain my issue of coming in to Eat at restaurant. I cant, or couldnt come. Just a few minutes of Opening, my husband would be waiting AT RESTAURANT to order. Rules ABOUT ( BLUE PLATE SPECIAL) ... SHE REFUSED THE REQUEST too HELP THE MYSELF AND HUSBAND, still try a fine restaurant. Company No WAY KNOW HOW THEY WOULD ACCOMMODATE !!! The young woman and a young man states he is manager, stating SORRY ( ITS THE RESTAURANTS POLICY!!! ) I WONT EVER EAT THERE !!!

Amazing food! I got the jalapeno biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon, the bacon was cooked perfectly, the eggs were nice and soft, and not only were the biscuits PERFECT but the gravy itself was THE BEST GRAVY IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! I will definitely be coming back, and Ill probably be getting the same exact thing!! Customer service here is also something to look forward to on your visit to The Heights!
