Ive been eating at Chuys in various locations for over 20 years. Richmond and Westheimer locations in Houston, Lubbock location,a couple in Dallas, and now that I live in the Corpus Christi area, I go to the CC location. On Saturday, September 21st, I had my first bad service experience at a Chuys. I cant remember the servers name, Rose or Rosa maybe? Older lady. My wife and I were greeted and seated promptly by the host, and being Chuys regulars, my wife and I already knew exactly what we wanted when we got there. I wanted to try the newly returned Chile Rellenos, my wife got her usual steak burrito. Her food was delicious as always. I was disappointed in the new recipe for the Rellenos. I like the old recipe more. Ive had worse Rellenos many places, but I left wishing I had ordered something else. But most disappointing was our service. We sat for about six or seven minutes before or server came out with a tray of food for a nearby table. She greeted us and told us shed be with us shortly, and served the neighboring tables food, the returned to the kitchen. After waiting another four or five minutes, she FINALLY came to our table with chips, salsa and creamy jalapeño. She took our drink order and our dinner order and left again. We waited about another seven or eight minutes for my iced tea and my wifes frozen margarita. Were approaching 20 minutes weve been seated and still nothing to drink on the table. Eventually a manager walked by and noticed we had no drinks and she went to the service bar and returned with my wifes Rita and asked what I ordered. She went back to the kitchen and found the server there, who finally returned with my iced tea and my wifes side of ice water. Our food came out promptly, but she never did a two minute/two bite follow up. The restaurant want busy at all, it was about 4:30 in the afternoon and she only appeared to have two tables. We left a tip of roughly 16-17%, which is low for us. My wife still works in the restaurant industry as a manager, and I waited tables, tended bar, cooked and managed restaurants for many years myself. Chuys is our favorite place to eat out, and well be back, but my birthday dinner was a little disappointing.

Initial service in the regular restaurant was terrible. We were seated and forgotten, without even water. We had plenty of time to view the interesting decor. After 15 min we went to the bar where the bartender was helpful, friendly and fast. Food was good. Texas tinis were excellent.

No air conditioning in bar area Went to watch baseball game after work and it was 8:30. We were tired. First time ever and last time. We were sweating and it was sticky. They had a fan on bar but seriously, who wants cold food. Food was unseasoned. We took it to go for dog. No draft! Bartender was nice, poor girl said ac has been out for about a month now. Seriously, in middle of summer? Thats horrible for employees to work indoors with no ac. At least the bar side. Please spend your money elsewhere. This establishment obviously doesnt care for their employees comfort, their reputation,nor the business itself, nor their reviews. I work outside all day, I couldnt even enjoy my dinner. Money wasted.

Love the chicken fajita burrito smothered in green chile. Soo good! I have the beans put on the side instead of in the burrito. Always great company and service. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: Our kids love going to Chuy s as well. They also get a coloring page and crayons to keep them busy while waiting for food.

Everything was AMAZING! Allison behind the bar is outstanding very efficient and is always moving. The blackberry lemonade is the PERFECT summer drink. I was however let down with all the dog pictures on the wall that they do not allow dogs on the patio. It would be a great place.

Came back after abt a yr. Was ok prices still up there but the service I got that day was good. Food was good to but my beef tacos were a but tough idk what it was but they were ok I will think abt not ordering them again because they werent what they use to be. My husband ordered the Enchiladas they were pretty decent and a bit on the tart side with the sauce they add but it was ok. And as per the ambient was kind of dead and Mayne because the a/c was out and was a bit warm in the facility.

I LOVE Chuy s. The only reason this isn t a 5 star is that we joined the online waitlist, got our confirmation text and everything, only to show up and have the hostess tell us they don t use the online waitlist. So we joined the regular waitlist and everything was good from there. The server was great, the food was delicious, the price is reasonable. So my only complaint is the hostess was not very friendly and this location doesn t use the online waitlist. Either remove this location from the online waitlist website or start using it like all the other Chuy s on the website. I saw other people leave after they found out their online reservations didn t matter. Maybe this is a management issue. Vegetarian options: The veggie fajitas are amazing Kid-friendliness: It s pretty loud here so kids making noise is no problem. Loved bringing our babies here.

This was my first time and I love it!!! I You walk in and the atmosphere is fun. I wish Id of had a friend go sit at the bar with. The hostess was so up beat and friendly. I placed a to go order and the girl who helped me was awesome. All smiles and even carried my food to the car. The food is Delicious. Very flavourful and they give you plenty. The sauces are wonderful. I had like three different choices all of them were tasty. I even like the hot one that burns your tongue a little. That ones actually my favorite. Hey you want to have a nice dinner with good food and a few drinks I definitely recommend this place. The service was outstanding. Ill be back thats for sure

The chips and salsa were ok. Im not a fan of the chunky salsas - which theirs is - but my husband loved it. I had the chicka-chicka-boom-boom, and it was really good. Always top tier in a casual setting. This location is impressive in every single way. Its clearly managed with attention to detail. The bartenders are friendly and skilled (try the New Mexican Martini), hosts act like your best friend and the quality of the food is fantastic!!! There is an manager named Daniel who even visits tables to make sure everthing is running smoothly and making sure you are happy. Its ideal for groups or going solo. Try the boom boom enchiladas if you like spice!

Im from out of town and was hungry. Place recommended for their fajita tacos. Wanted something that had a bit of everything and ordered the Comida deluxe. Just did a change from the crispy taco to a fajita taco for an extra charge. While waiting for the food, the sauces for the chips were awesome. The jalapeno dip was addicting. Once the food arrived, the only thing from all the plate that felt was good was the fajita taco. Enchiladas felt the cheese was plated on a corn tortilla and microwaved. The sauce wasnt that good on the enchiladas, and the rice was soggy. Chicken flautas were not good. Felt the chicken was a paste stuffed on a tortilla. The beans were dried up or whatever they were. The service was good and had a friendly staff. The place looks awesome and relaxing just to have a drink and a fajita taco. Didnt want to ruin the evening and tried to eat my last meal for the night.

1st time visiting. Nice atmosphere sat at bar area. Only one waitress on duty slight wait for service. Lady was friendly and doing her best to keep up with all customers. Ordered chicken n fajitas for one & coworkers ordered chicken n fajitas for 2 when plates arrived there was literally no difference between the two. Did not photograph to prove point. Order guacamole for the table to eat with chips(5.99). Serving size was not worth the price, literally 1 spoon of avocado on a beed of shredded lettuce. Picture provided. Food tasted good. I cannot emphasize this enough, our server Olan was an absolute superstar! He was attentive, quick, funny, friendly, absolute best server i think Ive ever had. We had a party of 10 including picky eaters and some with food allergies which is never easy but Olan was on it . The food itself was hit or miss depending on the dish we each got but overall was still a delightful caloric intake experience. If you ever come here and have Olan as your server be ready for a fantastic meal experience!

Has anyone ever had a bad experience at a Chuys? I chose the hotel I stayed at because its right behind the Chuys in Corpus. Had lunch and bought a couple of T-shirts. Definitely will visit again.

I picked up curbside beef fajitas for one. Everything was great except the fajitas were so tough I couldnt chew them up. I kept having to just spit it out. Gross I know but wow with the 6 dollar tip for the sweetest girl ever, it cost 35 dollars. (Also got tres leches for dessert).. I dont mind paying a little more for good food and friendly service but the beef wasnt good.

We always enjoy the TexMex at Chuy s. The menu is a bit different here in Corpus Christi as compared to Austin however when we asked about our favorite dish, Southwestern Chicken Enchiladas, they were happy to make it for us, so I will say if you have a favorite menu item from the Austin area Chuy s and it is not on the menu, it doesn t hurt to ask if they can make it.

I love the variety of the different rooms. Always interesting things to look at. Love the creamy jalapeño ranch dip and their chica boom boom enchilada! There will always be enough room for some chica boom boom!

The food was cold but sauces on enchiladas looked dried out. Not very good flavor. The Elvis Presley Combo was not very good. Alot of food but bad food worst was the white or green sauce enchilada. My friend said she got taco al carbon before and has cheese sauce this plate had cold shredded cheese pile to side and the guacamole was blackish brown green. I love guacamole but no one at table including me did not want it. Waitress was nice but at end a little trying to rush us out. Like saying you need a refill want me to bring it in a To Go cup. Atmosphere was ok. Not too loud nice margarieta strawberry good and could taste the liquor a plus.

Their Frozen Margaritas are the best. Its not because of the alcohol cuz I really dont think theres a lot of alcohol, I just think the flavor is really good I mix raspberry and strawberry or a Mango and strawberry. Theres to die for, go there every time Im in Corpus.

Went to lunch. My wife and I shared the Panchos with chicken, which was just right for the two of us today. They are like big nachos. There was lots of toppings, the chips were crisp but the chicken was hard to find, what few pieces I found were small and the flavor was lost in the rest of the dish. When you first sit down you get the complementary chips and salsa. Those chips are paper thin and don t hold up to the salsa. Afterwards we got the 1/2 order of churros, be prepared, these pieces are small about 2 inches long. They came out hot and with some Carmel dip and were very tasty.
