Took forever to get shoe sizes, then the system was down when we went to check out. Very inconvenient. We were told we could walk around 30 minutes to 2 hours for it to come back up.

Dont get me wrong...I love this store..but today on a Saturday, there was a woman in there PLAYING CATCH WITH HER SON INSIDE ...and not just a quick lets see how this glove feels...like 15+ min of catch....people were shopping..and nobody in the store told her anything...shes lucky she didnt miss the ball and hit someone...lets do better.

Visited the Corpus Christi store this evening. There was one young salesman at the shoe department. 5 customers all needing his help and he was the only person working this department. Meanwhile as we walked towards the front of the store I asked for a manager and an older heavy set male said he was the manager. I explained what a shame it was that they only had one person working in the shoe department and he simply said thank you and kept talking to another worker. There were many sales people in the check out area but no one event to help the young man in the shoe department. Do better !!! And get a manager that at least acknowledges the issue and goes back there to help this young man out not keep yapping and uninterested with a customer complaint.

Place was terribly understaffed. The people who were working didn t know anything and were so slow to greet or help me. It seemed like the employees had an attitude including the management. I don t know who runs this store but those in charge need to get it together. From now on I m shopping at Academy and never coming here again. I try getting help for my glove and the guy they had in charge seemed annoyed and like he didn t care to answer any questions, completely rude and shouldn t be working customer service such a bad company.

Pathetic company. There is little to no training done for new employees, which is painfully obvious given the fact it takes them up to 10 minutes just to ring me up, managers are basically nonexistent, whenever I told my cashier I needed to speak to a manager she called them on her microphone and I sat there for five whole minutes and guess who never showed up??? The manager! Honestly corporate needs to come in and completely replace ALL management within this store, no one has a single clue what theyre doing here.

My daughter and I went there to look at tennis rackets after viewing some on their website. One that we were looking at only showed one in stock so I thought it was a long shot that theyd actually have it... They did!! I was pleased that their quantity was accurate and with the service from their associate Diamond. We were also looking for headbands and asked if they had a store brand of them. She stopped what she was doing and found some that were on clearance for us in a totally different area. She was so polite and I appreciate it!

10/23/20 I usually come to this place and I ll end up buying stuff but knowing me I m very undecisive. So I ll walk around looking and debating on what I need but I usually walk with my backpack and books from work so it s pretty understandable that I look suspicious but if you feel the need to act a little hostile towards a person cause they re just getting out of work and wanting to buy stuff but doesn t act like that towards any other specific customers that aren t carrying a backpack when they could ask me or be genuine enough to tell me and say hello sir can I have you put your backpack in the front register that s why academy is way better then y all

Worst sporting goods store. High price for the same quality you can find at Walmart. The website is never updated, if youre lucky you will click on an item that says its in stock in the store just to have a tell you that its no longer in stock.if youre unlucky however it will tell you its in stock you will purchase it go to the store and then they will tell you they havent had it in stock for some time

Ordered an expensive gift online. Made a size selection and placed the order. Realized after the fact that the size was wrong. Contacted Chat support within 5 minutes of placing order and was assured by the rep, German, that he had made the change and I would receive an update within a couple of hours. That afternoon, the order still reflected the incorrect size. Reached back out and was told due to security and privacy concerns, that all order updates must be made within 30 minutes of placing an order. No exceptions. I informed the rep, Tamara, that I had done just that and the error was on their end. I was told no again and that I could wait for the item to arrive, return it via mail or to a store (online exclusive product), wait 30 days for a refund and then reorder. Really? I ll definitely be returning, but will not reorder from Dick s Sporting Goods. Nor will I do business again. Customer experience is awful. Thanks for ruining Christmas!

Spent over 1,000$ on two mtb. One for my wife and one for myself. Gt aggressor and gt laguna. The so called bike mechanic Aaron supposedly performed a pre sale inspection. We get the bikes home and the following morning we were ready to hit the trail. We woke up to a flat tire. I aired it up and I did a quick once over on the bikes to make sure everything was still in working order. The tires won t freely spin the gears don t properly shift handlebars are crooked. The brakes wouldn t work. Some bike mechanic y all have. I will be bringing the bikes back today

My experience with all staff who works here has always been very positive. I am always happy to return to shop at this great store. I was able to buy online in the morning and pick it up at my local store in the afternoon. I have a broken arm right now and that meant I did not have to work through the store.
