I feel bad for writing a bad review. But i want to be honest, the items we ordered were not good. We got the lasagna and chicken pesto tortellini. We can tell that the lasagna was canned tomato sauce, maybe Hunts. And the flavor of the pesto tortellini wasn t good either, and chicken was way overcooked I m just disappointed i spent $45 on canned tomato sauce and frozen (store bought) tortellini. I get it that times are tough and everything is expensive now, i just wish it could have been a little cheaper for the quality of food i received.

Great place to go with a large group with kids, its a no pressure kinda restaurant with delicious food. The service is relaxed, staff seems happy to have you as their customer, more of a small town vibe! Alfredo Pizza is delicious.

I placed an order from this establishment. Being my first time in Corpus Christi was the bomb food had flavor in it. I enjoyed the food considering my husband and I celebrating our Wedding Anniversary I looked up from across the street i saw the sign. And i looked up some reviews on the restaurant. I might have to say that i would return back to order food from this place. The only thing that was not appealing to me was that a child brought my order to me. I was expecting an adult to hand me my order to me. But i got a great attitude and smile from the young man. He looked straight into my eyes and I said thank you to him. Well respected and impressive for a young man. Thank you for taking care of us in fast service. Gave me and my husband the best meal we could ever expect. Best wish on small business. Blessings to the cook who prepared our meal for our special occasion. Thank you again.

This was a wonderful dinner location. My mother recommended we try as she and my father had been previously. Our service was excellent the food was an amazing portion for the price point the waiter Elijah was a very kind and helpful guy! Conversed with us despite some initial awkwardness. He was a delight and honestly so nice the entire time. I had the white chicken parm which it is just normal chicken parm w/ Alfredo sauce vs the red sauce and let me tell you the chicken breast was huge the pasta was perfect the price was $18.99 and despite that I d say it was sooo worth it (I took left overs) the chicken breast is not tough or dry it s seasoned well the breading was not thick but crispy perfection so soggy spots!! My hubby got the ziti & he demolished it lol and u can also tell you the portion was well worth the $15.99 Olive Garden is good but in comparison I d rather stop in here any day over the price, quality and atmosphere ties it all together!! With friendly people waiters and environment all it needs is some nice promotion and social media to get the foot work going! I can t wait to have to place my name on a wait list to be seated at this place!

Stopped by to pick up a few things for lunch the other day. My niece asked for a Maui Wowwie Pizza. Never heard of it! I m a meat lover but I could have eaten the whole pizza myself! I m giving this 5 stars because I want to support local owned businesses, but in truth, this was the worst restaurant I ve ever been to. It was my first time there and was excited to give it a try. Maybe because it was 7:30 on a Wednesday? But the food was absolutely unacceptable. I ve never been served such an awful meal. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were dry and cold. The spaghetti pasta, was soggy and clearly made hours, if not the day before , it was served, plus, it was cold (by cold I don t mean luke warm, I mean not even an attempt was made to warm this premade meal.) They did not take any time to drain the water, as I was essentially served spaghetti soup. The garlic bread was cold and chewy! I ve never had garlic bread that I couldn t eat. The Cesar Salad is served with 2 tablespoons of dressing and they would not give extra without up charging. They did have good root beer. The food we were served was offensive and the worst I ve ever had served in my 45 years of life.

Nothing fancy to look at, but easily some of the best Italian in Corpus! Go for the large reasonably priced servings of fresh and tasty food, not for the ambiance. Our server Robert was prompt and knowledgeable, if a little quiet. My meat pizza was loaded with yummy toppings (no cheese, dang lactose) and her Chicken Provencal was zesty and full of veggies. Really good, quick, and very reasonable, especially since we both took some home.

My wife and I travel this great nation of ours and we ve tried pizza and pasta from west to east north to south. Maggie s has the best non Detroit style pizza we ve tasted. It s fine Italian dinning without the pretentious atmosphere. The chicken parmigiana was perfect as well. The wait staff was there to assist. The ingredients are hand made daily. If you go thinking your food needs soaked in sauce like say another chain Italian restaurant does think again. It s sauced perfectly that all the flavors show through. Thank you again Maggie s for the great surprise you gifted my wife and I with. We will definitely be back for another meal with you all.

I tried the Chipotle Chicken. It was not spicy, it was not topped with avocado. The sauce was not cheesy. It was chicken, pasta, some red pepper that was not Chipotle. I was extremely disappointed in this dish. The garlic with white mussels is delicious ALL the time. Service is also great.

Let me start this off by saying that the food here is really good & the servers are super nice. However, it does not feel like they have their priorities straight. On my most recent visit here I waited OVER an hour for food that I never received. I ended up paying for the appetizer & drinks and leaving because there was no time frame on when our entrees would be ready. Plus, the appetizer itself, just some simple garlic cheese bread, took nearly half an hour for me to receive. It seemed like instead of focusing on the patrons in the restaurant the chef and/or people in the back were more focused on getting to go orders out as I watched a ton of them leave. As I said Ive had previous good experiences here & the food previously was good so Im very saddened & frustrated by this experience. I really hope this was just a bad night but bad night or not this shouldve never happened. Overall, it would seem if you want to enjoy food from here you should order it to go instead of dinning in.

I ordered a large pizza and it actually tasted pretty good. Just an FYI they cover the bottom of the pizza with cornmeal so it kind of acts like a sandpaper while youre eating it. But Im not writing a two star review for that. I am not particularly happy about getting a charged a fee to pick up. I drove to the store to place the order as I tried doing it online and slice wouldnt accept any of my credit cards. Not the stores fault I understand that. But when I stand there at the counter and place an order I dont want to be charged any fee to place it order. I should be getting a discount for not eating in their store. And then I asked the server when ordering if I was able to take black olives off my pizza and substitute for pepperoni and he said no problem. I asked if I could get just a little side of tsatziki sauce and he said no problem at all. He prints the receipt out and walks away and I see he charged me $4 for pepperoni and no credit for taking black olives off. Then he charged me for the tzatziki sauce it was either a dollar or $2 for probably a 1 oz amount. I tried the tsatziki sauce once I drove away and it just tasted like oniony coleslaw. I have a problem with the charging practices of this location. Nowhere especially in Texas should you be getting charged $4 for a pepperoni add-on especially if you are substituting it in place of another topping. And just a fair warning to everyone who goes there do not even order the tsatziki sauce. No one should have to pay a pickup fee at a restaurant, it doesnt matter how big it is or how small if fee is!

Ordered Chicken Parmigiana, Eggplant Parmigiana, and kids spaghetti and meatball. Ordered cheese sticks because the person who took our order said they were good, they were not. Chicken was bland and breading had no seasoning, small amount of sauce and it tasted like store bought with a lot of sugar, same complaints for the Eggplant except it was mush and inedible. Kids sphaghetti had one meatball and barely any sauce. Soup of the day was spinach and artichoke, it was spinach, artichoke, and butter water, terrible. Saw the pictures and the reviews and went expecting so much more, for $60 it was sorely lacking. Only redeeming quality was the polite servers.

I grew up in Corpus Christi. I left 30 years ago and now live north of Houston. My husband and I went down to corpus to visit my parents and they requested that we went to Maggie s. 3.9 This is a local quiet little spot. The young lady is trying to do everything, which means you can not be in a hurry. The food took some time to get out. However, it didnt let me down. Not pictures, the meat lasagna was lacking a bit on the meat part. Now the two pizzas were really nice. The crust was done just right, and the toppings hit the spot. The pizzas have great texture, a nice Italian taste, and came out hot. The atmosphere was dated, calm, and needed some love. If you have time, do by here. Be patient... Cheers

I ordered the lasagna. It wasnt terrible, but I wont be going back for it. It was made with alot of bell pepper. Not something Im use to tasting in lasagna. The flavor was strong. My boyfriend ordered the alfredo. It didnt really taste like anything. The sauce was watery and lacking flavor. As for the atmosphere. I was expecting an Italian feel. With random music playing that you would expect in an Asian restaurant it just didnt have that.

I recently ordered food from Maggie s and their staff had issues to say the least. When I arrived they somehow lost my ticket for the food. Since they charged me over the phone they insisted that that hard to charge my card again and they voided the first transaction. The transaction never cleared so I was stuck with two charges for one meal on my card. I called my bank initially and they said I had to dispute my charges with Maggie s first. I called Maggie s and tried to speak to a manager and the executive chef called me back and proceeded to explain to me how banking works, how it is entirely not their fault that they charged me twice, and how the owner is out of town for and no one can check on the transaction to see if there was an issue. Throughout all this I have yet to receive any type of apology for the inconvenience or mistakes. The food was mediocre at best.

This is truly Corpus Christi s best kept secret. After driving by this place hundreds of times, finally made a conscious effort to stop and it was the best decision ever. We were greeted promptly and with a smile. We had the Garlic cheese bread as an appetizer and the bolognese dipping sauce that came with it was delicious and a nice change from the marinara that everyone else serves. When our entrees arrived we were amazed it s the closest thing to little Italy . The baked lasagna and baked ziti are a must have. The prices are very reasonable too! If I could give this place more stars, I definitely would. We will certainly be back.

The pizza roll was bomb. I really wanted a calzone but each topping cost $1.50??? Seems a bit high to me as a decent calzone would easily be above $20 for some solid fillings. The pizza roll is basically the same thing, I recommend going with that.

Okay Im originally from out of state where they had some amazing Italian restaurants. Ive yet to find one in Corpus that comes close to what I expect from an Italian restaurant. With that in mind Maggies wasnt too bad. My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo, and it was creamy and cheesy as you would expect. It lacked that extra zing that Im used to but was very eatable. I had a Stromboli, and it was quite good. The outer crust was just slightly crunchy and the interior was Rich in flavor and piping hot. The ceasar salad was not much to speak of, and the stuffed mushrooms we had as an appetizer were small over breaded and way over cooked. Service was very good.

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a horrible experience with another restaurant, but the moment we entered, all the frustration went away! We were greeted by Susan, who was absolutely wonderful! Amazing customer service, not just from Susan but from the entire staff! Pizza was DELICIOUS! We were a party of 7 plus two kids. Gratuity was instantly added, BUT that didn t stop Susan from providing absolutely delightful service. She still went above and beyond with service, and food was out quick! We will definitely be back when we are in town! Forget the chain restaurants, enjoy a nice dinner here with the family.

Like many restaurants under the 2022 administration, you may have to wait a bit for this food and it is more costly. All of that withstanding, regarding the pizza, and from first bite to the crust, this has to be the best pizza in town (I ve had them all). I was unaware of the price hikes in the toppings (almost as much as the pizza) but when I got home I all but forgot about how much I paid for it. If you want the highest quality pizza in Corpus Christi you will dine at Maggie s. Toppings, sauce, cheese, dough all equally high quality. In terms of structure, not too thin, definitely not too thick and right in the sweet spot. The owners take this pizza seriously and it shows.

We are from out of town and this place was recommended to us by concierge services at our hotel. When my husband tried to order food to be delivered they said they didn t have delivery service but we could go through DoorDash. When we tried ordering through DoorDash it was not a registered restaurant. I called Maggie s back and told them and the man that answered the phone was extremely rude and yelled at me stating that they had no connection with DoorDash. I obviously knew that but since they told us to call DoorDash, I was just going by what they recommended us to do. When I tried to explain that to the man on the phone he continued to yell and get mad at me. I hung up the phone and have decided never to order or eat here. Be cautious when calling in an order, you might get your head bitten off.

Always wanted to try this place based off yummy pics and good reviews, so when our regular local pizza place changed their hours we finally got our chance. So we ordered delivery through slice, there was a communication issue and our order was placed late. I called the restaurant and a man picked up the phone and yelled HELLO, WHAT? Then hung up on me. I tried again and same man picked up, but identified himself and restaurant so it was better until I told him that there was an issue with my order and if he needed me to clarify anything..he then rudely stated my order was not ready and I needed to wait. I told him thats not what Im asking, but he just repeated himself so I just said okay and terminated the call. I should have been smart and canceled my order then. Get order 1 1/2 hours later, and its nothing like I expected. The chicken Alfredo is half portion, but its literally a toddler size portion. There is hardly any sauce, so its very dry and tasteless. The chicken has a good flavor, but the meat was dry. Lots of salt later, it was barely edible. For $12.99 for less than a cup of food, thats a rip off. The pizza is on the very thin side, the bread is bland, but the sauce and toppings taste homemade and flavorful. It was barely warm though. The calzone was thick and a good size for price, but again their dough is bland and very toasted, it actually cut my mouth a bit. Very good topping to cheese ratio. The desserts were smashed, but from what we could salvage they were pretty good and probably the best tasting so far. The wings though..were horrible. The worst I have ever tried. 12 dozen wings, almost $20, that were small, thin, and super dry. Good amount of sauce, but the meat, what little there was, was like jerky. I felt that they may have been old and reheated too many times. They went in the trash. Called slice and recieved a $20 credit, but considering this whole order was $90, it didnt do much for me. Very confused about all the 5 stars, I would not give this place a second chance nor recommend it. Should have just waited for New York pizza to open.
