My friend Sandy and I enjoyed last nights performance of Putnam County Spelling Bee and were delighted to be in the audience. Kudos to every one of the actors----they were thoroughly immersed in their respective characters and did a fabulous job. Aurora never disappoints us.My family and Friends have been visiting Aurora for several years. My daughter participated in the summer program. Everyday she came home with excitement and expressed how she loved every minute of it. The staff was great, she learned so much from them. The final performance was fantastic and shes looking forward to participating in the next program. To any parents out there who are looking for a theatre program, Aurora is the place to go.

I attended Winter Wonderettes at the Aurora Arts Theater last night. This Christmas play is outstanding. It is simply the best live theater and live music entertainment you will ever find. Corpus Christi is blessed to have such an intimate theater with incredible and gifted entertainers. Autumn and Bob Caro have assembled a Wonderful Christmas show filled with everyones favorite Christmas songs from over the years. Autumn Caro, Christin Espinosa, Chelsea Guerra, and Whitney Taylor were fantastic and a delight to watch. My family and friends who joined me are ready to see it again! Ms. Mary Chavez, I cant even begin to tell you how much my wife and I enjoyed the GODSPELL Production. Aside from the excellent performance by each and everyone of the actors, who did a tremendous job, the live music was fantastic and the icing on the cake. Above all, the Production could not have been more real to life. We felt like we were truly living the life with Jesus when he walked the earth. The emotion, the love, and the performance by each of the actors was surreal. We left the afternoon of the performance asking for more...we wanted more. We didnt want it to end. We left thinking that everyone in Corpus Christi should have served as witness to a tremendous production. Everyone in the Aurora Theater staff was super friendly and provided the best customer service, all that to say, we will be back to the Aurora Theater for future productions. The service, actors, production offered by the Aurora Theater was second to none. Congratulations to the actors, musicians, staff, and of course Mr. Peter Lopez, Director. What a great gem we are fortunate to have in Corpus Christi. Mr. Ed Chapa was present in spirit and his dream, aspirations, and passion for the arts continues-is alive and well, and continues on in Corpus Christi, Texas. Godspell was my second play at Aurora Arts Theatre, and my husbands first time there. We really enjoyed the play. I love the intimate nature of the theater. You get to be so close to all of the actors. Plus, they come through the aisles too. I have zero musical ability, but I love to see plays, especially musicals, and enjoy the talent of others. We had a wonderful time at The Wonderettes show today.The 4 actresses were fantastic! It was very enjoyable.I highly recommend going!! There were times I was laughing so hard tears were coming out...It was so funny. My husband was selected to go up on stage as Mr. Bill.They put a Santa hat on him and danced @ him...It was so cute! He was a good sport and enjoyed the attention. It was our first time to the Aurora Theater.We will definitely return again in the near future! Fun to do with a spouse, friend, and/ or family. Great job!!

I had seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show many times over the years, mostly at midnight movies with interactive people in the audience, but the actual performance was always the same movie. In live theater, it is so different from year to year, and maybe even from performance to performance, and amazing to see from a different perspective. Always an excellent show, and my favorite time, from the times that I have been a performer or an audience member, is being able to talk with the patrons and the cast, and hear their reactions.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of seeing Cabaret at this cozy theater. We have been to a few community theaters and in this one, the live music, the sound system is absolutely fantastic. In other theaters weve been to, the music has been so loud you could barely hear the actors. Not so here. Seats are very comfortable too. Cabaret was the second show weve seen here and I cant wait to go back again!

I attended the 2/19 Cabaret performance just yesterday. I literally came because I drive by this place every day not knowing anything about it. I decided to come to this with my boyfriend on a whim, and was incredibly surprised at the talent that hides in this little building. Seriously amazing performances from everyone, I can t believe I ve lived down the street from this for so long. I was glowing for hours after leaving. Everyone involved is passionate about what they do and it shows! Once you walk through those doors youre immediately welcomed and are part of the family. Top shows to watch are the seasonal Halloween and Christmas shows but usually any show is a hit. The Rocky Horror Show is a true staple of the community during the spooky season while Christmas shows rotate. Its a smaller venue but thats what gives it a more intimate feel. Get tickets now!

The energy of Saturday at the late night double feature picture show was electric! Bravo to the cast and crew for an energizing Saturday night show (always the late show) thats when its filled with the most Antici-PATION! Give them their flowers! Kudos to Brad (Tomas Galvan) and Janet (Lauren Flinchbaugh). True Texas talent, Riff Raff (Peter Lopez) and Magenta (Alex Chapa) brought it with vocals. Dr. Frank n Furters (Jordan Bruster) magnetism ruled the stage. All the phantoms were a delight. Loved the design set! The Live musicians added excitement, and the crowd participation was top tier! There is not a bad seat in the theatre. The snack bar was reasonably priced with popcorn, chocolate and cold big pickles. Cast happily posed for pictures after the show and the entertainment flew by, it was like being in a time-warp - ADA accessible - good price - good inclusive welcoming energy

I have seen the Rocky Horror Show many times and this production was by far one of the best. While the director kept key elements, she added some touches like the swings and a new song by Brad. We absolutely loved it!

I absolutely love Aurora Arts Theatre! The small theatre makes for an intimate setting--putting the audience in close proximity to the stage/actors. The live music adds an energy and heartbeat to every show which enhances the experience.

100% our favorite place for Live Theatre in Corpus Christi! The productions that are done here are so much fun to watch and the passion behind each performance and performer is easily seen in the work. Rocky Horror is our FAVORITE show to see here and we have seen it every year for almost the past decade. Dont miss a chance to catch a show here. The theatre is so well done and gives you a great intimate feeling while still feeling like a huge production.

Saw a wonderful Christmas musical, Christmas Wonderettes, featuring 4 of the most charming actresses who had beautiful voices and worked so well with each other. The host was gracious and welcoming and the staff very friendly. Comfy seats for tge play. Small audience. Maybe 100 can be seated. Bathroom just for one person. Expect a long line. Also they need more than 3 chairs in the foyer. Wine and beer for a gratuity. Popcorn, candy, soft drinks for purchase...around $3. Im tempted to go see it again as it was so much fun. Expect audience participation during this particular presentation. Lots of joy and laughing.

The young people performing definitely make it worthwhile. The place is tiny but quaint, everyone is very friendly. I went to watch Rocky Horror Picture show, it was flipping awesome, I have not l smiled that long and years. Thank you for the tears of happiness Aurora Arts theater.
