Sub par on just about every aspect of this place. Roads are full of potholes, bathrooms and showers are far to walk to. Mosquitoes are horrible, but its 25 a night so we put up with it. Also bring a tent to get a tent spot or they charge you more. Oh yeah and remember cash is cheaper, they charge extra to secure spot via credit card. Lastly they treat rv owners better than those who have conversion vans or off grid vehicles. Playground: No playground Toilets: Kinda gross, they let people wash their pets in the showers. Picnic area: You get a picnic table at each spot

Took my 5 year old kiddo and her dad here and we absolutely enjoyed it! It was a Saturday around 12:30pm, and it wasn t too crowded and the vibes were good. Parking is available and my Hyundai Elantra rode good on the sand (was pretty hard surface) and we got a spot right at the entrance. Gorgeous waves and views. My only negative thing was that there are blobs of oil that attach themselves to your skin and clothes (pretty sad to see that at such a gorgeous beach).

Always a blast to take a trip out here! They need to rebuild the pier tho!!! Wanna have fun with the family this is a great place to hit! Wanna send your jet ski flying like an eagle? Definitely worth taking a short 3 mile trip from the packery channel boat launch. Super clean beaches. Just remember July is jellyfish season they will be thick in July. Dont get screwed by the golf cart companies if you have a truck bring your ATV or sxs with you it will save you a fortune!

The location offers the basic amenities and access to the beach at an affordable rate. The cell service is great (AT&T), which was needed at the time I visited because their Wi-Fi (internet access) was down. I understand it had been for several weeks. This location is operated by the County, so dont expect Resort accommodations. But they are clean and maintained.

Usually a nice place to visit and go to the beach. However, Bob Hall Pier has been removed due to hurricane damage. The roadway in front of the park on the beach is in major need of repair. Lots of pot holes and very loose sand. You can easily get stuck if not used to driving in such conditions. I would recommend finding a spot in Port Aransas if looking for RV site. At least for the time being, until they can get their repairs sorted out.

If youre a world traveler, you may scoff at the Texas Gulf beaches. If so, you may be suffering from the too much cake syndrome - you are unable to appreciate natures beauty unless it is the finest. The Gulf of Mexico shore in Texas has warm, sandy beaches with the wonderful sound of the ocean with waves crashing offshore and rolling in along the Shoreline. Its got a bit of Mississippi river mixed in along with some bits Americana washed along with it. The sunrises over the water and across the dunes are magnificent. The Padre Bali Park is right over the dunes, with quick access to the beach. There a picnic tables, lots of grass, and an improved campground here. If you can relax and let your hair down you will feel right at home in no time. Dog-friendliness: On-leash Picnic area: On the beach

Lots are concrete with picnic tables and a nice from one another. There are showers available, but I didnt check them out. Dumpsters are conveniently located yet away from RV lots. A short walk to the beach and easy access to all the amenities of (north) Padre Island. We have really enjoyed our stay. Playground: No playground, but who needs a playground when the beach is there! Toilets: Are available. Dog-friendliness: No restrictions other than they have to be leashed. Picnic area: Picnic tables are at every full connection site.

Shame on you Dominik (employee funded by tax payer money). On our third trip to this place I noticed an RV getting stuck in the sand, while we were trying to help him out, a Beach Enforcement person was passing by, I will not tell that persons name but that person called another beach employee (named Dominik) for advice. Some tow company asked for $1000, this person conveyed this information to Dominik who was on the other side of the phone call made by this beach officer and Dominik gave poor advice to rock the RV back and forth to get it out. Every spin of the wheel was taking it deeper into the sand. Dominik said he could not use government vehicle for help for liability reasons but would use his own vehicle to try to pull it out. But the catch is Dominik asked for $400 in spite of the fact he is an employee funded by tax payer money and trying to make money off of people in emergency situation. Another stranger passed by (Ford F150) and helped pull the RV out. It is sad government employees behave like this in an emergency. Dominik should be ashamed of trying to take advantage of people that funds his salary. Ocean waves were literally 15 feet away from the RV and this is not how you deal with the situation. If you cannot use the government vehicle to help, then say so - IDIOT.

I would stay on the designated driveways unless you have a big 4-drive truck., so you don t get stuck. We saw a few people get stuck in the sand. The kids had a blast playing in the calm waters and soft sand. Overall a decent beach to go to and have a nice day. Toilets: Open restrooms to use and wash up after a fun day. Worked out well. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of pups out there., I would recommend a leash as there are many other animals out there plus slow traffic going.

Was here last year and the second visit this time was just as good. Middle of August and the temps here on the beach were high 90s and windy. Beach tar and seaweed ruled the waters this time, but wasnt bad and the kids still had fun. Water and sand was what we wanted and we got it. We tried a different spot and soon regretted it by having the RV facing the afternoon sun. We swapped to our original spot and had no issues the rest of the time. Park was mostly empty due to school starting back up. Grounds and bath house was in good clean order. Ants seemed to be the most annoying bug this time and mosquitoes were absent. Great time and place! Well be looking at this place again next time. Playground: No playgrounds, but you have a sandbox as big as a beach at your disposal. Toilets: The new area has a decent shared laundry, shower and restroom house. I have no issues with and I have seen worst. Dog-friendliness: Didnt see a dog walk area, but I seen lots of visitors with doggies with them. Picnic area: Each RV spot has a picnic table. Or bring a blanket and picnic on the beach.

Very close to the beach and well kept, quiet campgrounds. Watch out for coyotes at night, they surround the campsites overnight so put away all food and trash securely in your car or RV!! Overall we had a blast!

Quick trip with easy beach access. Beach permits can be purchased at the office (or any Stripes). OR...you park in the parking lot of the office (no permit required) and just walk the 100 to the beach. Super easy!

Why hasnt the road had improvements since hurricane Hannah? Love the new picnic tables, but parking is chaotic. Hopefully, they will rebuild the pier, SOON.
