Small little park - mostly pond FULL of turtles! Playground looks nice - none of the kids on the park used it. Spotted a double-breasted cormorant in the area! Did not see the restrooms.

The geese are bullies. And no one told them bread is bad for them because they straight up demand it. I brought them all the healthy options they ran after the first person that showed up with hotdog buns. Its a beautiful place, its cool to see the different species that show up throughout the year. The new playground was a cool addition.

We went to Hunan Express, yes, out of towners, so thats pretty much one of our definite stops. I used to go to Lakeview Park back in the day, so I wanted to check it out....PICNIC!! Roll the windows down and enjoy the cool evening.....Love hearing the ducks. Fun times!! Playground: Im too old to play on the playground, but looks fun!! Dog-friendliness: Take your dog for a walk around the lake...great exercise and great environment!! Picnic area: There are picnic tables. But I enjoy rolling my windows down, listen to the nature and talk. Great place!!!

Been coming to Lakeview since I was little, Alot of memories for me and for many others to come. People call it the duck pond. The pond is even stocked now with catfish and bass. It Even has a playground for children and is maintained like its supposed to be now. Parties , family and friends. Take some bread or feed for the ducks. Have fun and be sure to pickup your trash.

I love this park. If you dont have any money but you want to go somewhere with your kids theyll love, this is it. I always refer to this as Duck Park, which has made it difficult to remember where it is. Its not in a location Im typically in. This is in my humble opinion, one of the best parks in Corpus. There is a playground, if needed, swings and BENCHES. Corpus has a thing against benches at parks (I actually just assume its not in their budget) but this park has FOUR. An unprecedented amount of benches. But people dont come here for the playground. Not even my playground happy son. Because there is a vast amount of wildlife here. Every time I come here there is a different dynamic. Last time it was like a turtle pond. There were turtles here still, but not 2,000 of them. There actually were less ducks here than normal and there is an awful lot of white ibis and pigeons. The geese are still hanging on the other side of the pond I see. Trying to convince my son there is any place to be other than with the birds is extremely difficult. If you are feeding the birds, keep in mind to not bring bread. A lot of people bring fruit and the turtles love it the most. This may not be as fancy as some duck parks in some towns, but I bet it has a lot more animals.

It isnt what it use to be. A part or section of the park is missing. And the parking lot need to be expanded. In the evening a lot of people come and they always run out of parking. In addition, when it rains... The parking and field gets like a big portal of water. The city needs a better draining system.
