The place in general was wonderful for my 4 year old. Like many others mentioned, the staff wasn t very friendly, we mentioned it was our first time there and the staff checking us in just proceeded to ask for the payment and then mentioned the clean up after yourself rules. I also asked about the yearly membership and she just grabbed a piece of paper and told me to scan it for information.

We were a little put off by their location and initial reaction to the building. But inside, our kids loved it and the price was so reasonable. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the Temple area.

My daughter had fun here but it seemed to be falling apart and got very crowded and they seemed to not have a limit of how many people could be in the building at one time. Most of the other parents would just let their children run around while they played on their phones not paying attention.

The Museum itself is a really cute place with lots of things for kids to do, however I am choosing one star because of the staff. I noticed the difference in the way we were spoken to compared to white families. As we decided to leave the employees did not say goodbye, thank you, or anything, however a white family prior to us they were thanked upon their exit. I know customer service is on a decline, but selective customer service is unexceptable. As a professional and been in leadership and management for over 20 years, some retraining of employees needs to be done, because with phone ability to record, the behavior could have gone viral.

The workers were rude and was not happy to see and my family I m not sure if it s because we were the only black family in there but it was not welcoming at all and will not be referring this to anyone that wants a good environment for their children to play.

Visiting the Temple Childrens Museum proved to be an extraordinary experience for my family, particularly for my 1-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. From the moment we stepped in, the vibrant and diverse themed play areas captivated their imaginations and offered endless opportunities for exploration and fun. Each zone was thoughtfully designed to cater to children of various ages, ensuring a stimulating environment that promotes learning through play. My daughter was particularly enchanted by the sensory activities, which were perfect for her developmental stage, providing her with a plethora of textures, colors, and sounds to discover. Meanwhile, my son found himself fully immersed in the imaginative play areas, where he could embark on adventures, solve puzzles, and interact with other children in a safe and welcoming space. The museum staff deserves a special mention for their warmth and professionalism, always on hand to assist and enrich the childrens experience. The cleanliness and organization of the museum were impeccable, making our visit not only enjoyable but also comfortable and stress-free. Its rare to find a place that equally entertains and educates children of such young ages, but the Temple Childrens Museum has managed to achieve this beautifully. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for a fun-filled day out with their little ones. Our visit was a memorable one, and we will definitely be returning. Five stars for an exceptional family outing.

Staff friendly, plenty for kids to do! Grand had fun. We ended up leaving after an older child started taking toys away from my 5 year old granddaughter and his mother just sat watching doing nothing, I handed them back to her then child took away again was time to go at that point that the mom wasnt going to intervene! Thankfully my grandchild had already gone through all the displays once , I just had to explain to her how some have no manners and we need to walk away!

I just wish more parents modeled kind behavior and taught their children to be kind and polite every child should be able to have fun and learn new things without the fear of being bullied. That s anywhere you go! Other that that, we love this place.

More an indoor play place than a museum but lots of fun and interactive activities for kids. Drove from Leander with our four year old and 20 month old who were going stir-crazy during spring break. Would definitely come back next time Im in the area. Employees were friendly and facility was extremely clean and organized. The only thing I thought was a little odd was that its the same price for everyone over 1, including adults. That being said, they only charge $6/person, which is half of what I see some of these kind of places charging. I really appreciated the dedication to safety, door is kept locked at all times so employees know who is coming in and kids cant run outside into the street.

We have been to the Temple Childrens Museum twice and we plan to go a third time today. Reservations should be made prior to have your child or children come enjoy this amazing spot. Temple childrens museum is targeted for kids aged 0-8, but adults surely enjoy this place and all it has to offer as well. Upon entering the facility, One of the employees always greets you and asks if its your first time. They check you in at the front where you can leave your coats and other baggy items (although it is not required) Admission is $7 per child ( walkers only) infants and adults do not pay entry to the museum. You must accompany your children at all times here while they are playing by the way. For the time we have spent here, we did a regular day and one was Santas elves themed. The first time we came we noticed they had an amazon delivery truck with a conveyer belt that actually worked. That was a cute one. Next, we saw the blue foam building station. It can be used kinetically to throw the ball down it if its built right and can also make a fort. After that we saw the construction area where they have a wheelbarrow with foam blocks as well as a crane type thing where you can raise buckets while you sit down. Its super cute. Usually kids go over to the section nearby and they grab some hart hats and orange jackets and get fully dressed in construction attire. They have an area where kids can tinker with kids tools, screws and building materials. Next to that there is an infant area/ toddler area for up to age 2. There is a book section next to it as well for reading. Most of the kids are too excited to sit and read although a good idea. My sons favorite area is the camper. They have a little wooden toy camper they can go inside with a fully loaded kitchen and picnic area. Outside there is a little fishing area and that is so fun. Kids pretend to catch fish and grill them up. Next, there is the magnatiles section which has a rgb color changing table under. Thats pretty cool. Then, there is a music and percussion area. It has a large drum, and several other fun noise making activities like tamborines so multiple people can join at once. Next to that, there is a small area called pedal power. It has a radio flyer and another type of little bike there and some screens. I am not sure what the point of this area is, because both times we attended it wasnt operational. The employees said it has been planned to be fixed, but being there twice this month and it not working had several kids dissapointed and my son who is two was just confused. It does give a little bit of a weird vibe that that section doesnt do anything fun. Usually kids either just walk past it or try to get on it for a second then realize it doesnt work and walk away. Next to that is another favorite area. The grocery store. This part is amazing. They have little carts to push, groceries, a little pizza area and bakery. The check stands actually work too and have money inside and are able to scan items and make a beeping noise. Its super cute!! Next to that is a safari and veterinary area and a hut. You can check the animals temperature and their heartbeat .There is also a little wooden play area. Next to it there is an art area that my son adores. Complete with construction paper, dotting markers, crayons, and more kids can make art. Sometimes they do painting as well. There is also a stage and costumes available. The only difference on the santas elves days was that they had a little salt dough area which was fun and then another crafting area i think. Either way, both times were awesome! We are going for the third time this month today. We are also planning my sons 2nd birthday for this upcoming month. We cant wait!

Temple Children s Museum has been a Museum On the Go for the past 3 years and has finally found a perfect location to call home at S 2nd Street in Temple! But opening day will be awhile, so be patient while most 100 year old properties like this one,(though scary looking now,) is taking a lot of vision, determination and renovation. We are growing as fast as we can to give your kids and ours a place for new adventures and discovery!

The Temple Childrens Museum is not currently open for business and there are several renovations planned for the building and the surrounding area (see their Facebook or website for more details). With that being said, they attend several events around the community and there is no charge for the children to participate in their exhibits and they even will come to your school if you would like to offer students a museum experience without having to leave the school grounds. This is a great group of women and community members who are working on making the Temple Childrens Museum a reality for our kids. See attached rendering that I found on google images :)
