Found the place for menudo! I have not had a good menudo anywhere here in Corpus. Even when people recommend places, they suck! Not this place! They did great by their menudo. Very good!

We celebrated my bday w my sisters & husbands last Friday. The food was good though we had to ask for well done flour tortillas twice. The waitress was kind & orders were taken correct. Kitchen help needs to know what well done tortillas mean. The Manager ,tall fair skin young man walking around & cashier needs to smile & communicate w guests. Looks like he s angry!

Food was bland, no seasoning or flavor. They forgot my salad with my carne asada plate that clearly states on the menu it comes with it, also didn t provide tortillas with my order and the coke was flat! Definitely do not recommend and not going back!

My experience at El Jalisciense Bar & Grill was mixed. The service was decent, but the establishment appeared worn down and in need of a thorough cleaning, especially in the restroom where the lighting was dim. When I requested a simple grilled fish dish, I was met with a rude refusal. The language barrier was evident as only the owner could communicate in English, though not fluently. The fish plate I ordered without sauce was unappetizingly bland and lacked vibrancy. On the other hand, my husband enjoyed his flavorful Texas plate. The homemade corn tortillas were a highlight, along with the tasty table hot sauce and chips. Despite a few positives, such as the quality of certain dishes, the overall experience and service fell short. Considering these factors, I am unlikely to revisit El Jalisciense Bar & Grill in the future. And if you visit be sure to have a strong arm the door is hard to open Lord forbid there is an emergency and people need to get out fast.

I LOVE this place. Great food, reminds me of what i grew up with, a drive through, and a newly renovated bar area. They have a kids menu for picky eaters, and with very casual atmosphere, and the fact that it never seems too crowded, we love to take pur kids here. Parking: Parking can sometimes be scarce, as a lot of it gets taken by the neighboring bars/restaurants Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu for the picky eaters, and the place is casual and open enough that were not concerned if our kids fuss that theyll be disturbing the other customers right next to us.

very good i don t usually review but the server was very accommodating, i told her i m vegetarian and that i would just get fries, but she didn t want me to just eat fries she was very informative about lard in the tortillas and beans, we eventually settled on the burrito bowl without meat, but i didn t read it had rice. it came with rice and i said i would eat around it, she offered to make it again without rice and it was very good, very nice food and experience

Steak tasted dry and chewy, low quality meat. my girlfriend and I we couldn t eat more than one bite before deciding to leave. Surprised this place is getting any good reviews, probably being paid to leave a good review and or family and friends leaving a good review. Wasn t asked if something was wrong with our food. Could see we only had one bite but I think they needed all the money they could get because the place only had one customer besides us. Should ve left when we noticed nobody was there at prime time to eat, was 5:30pm. Please shut this place down and build a better use of space. How are is this restaurant still in business?!

The food was SOOOO DARN GOOD ! A friend of mine asked if I ever ate here before, and it had been awhile, but I was really surprised at how seasoned the food was and how good of a job they did on my margarita. The only thing I disliked was waiting for more than 5 mins for service, although there wasn t a lot of people working I had to get up and ask for a menu, but it was worth it yall!!! Macen was driving me crazy too! I recommend.

I just picked up the street tacos and I dont know what kind of meat they used but it sure didnt look or taste like beef. Had a really weird taste to it, very tough and chewy with lots of membrane type material, not sure if it was spoiled some other animal meat?? Plus charro beans werent cooked all the way. Will never go here again
