Was served an inedible block of ice. I guess their smoothie bowls are frozen and thawed out each day to be served instead of made fresh. They might taste fine this way, I have no idea since I couldnt eat mine. They must have forgotten to thaw them out that morning, but instead of saying the bowls werent available, they served us one frozen completely solid. A spoon couldnt cut through it. I had to eat the toppings to reach the smoothie and realize there was an issue. Because I ate some of the granola, they said I couldnt exchange it or have any kind of refund. All i could do is roll the dice and pay a seccind time, hoping the next meal is edible. I did not. I threw away my food and left since there was no other option. I understand that food places have problems sometimes, and usually wouldnt leave a bad review. This is different because nothing was done to fix the problem. It seems the cafe is run by high schoolers, with no manager in sight. The kids dont have the authority to give a refund or replacement, so if theres not an adult, any issues that occur are at the customers expense. Will not be returning, and I recommend you dont visit

There are two smoothies and two bowls we enjoy from here. Other than that, it s not really worth coming here. It s always dirty, the employees are so lazy that it is SO hard to get service. The manager has seen her employees herself greet me when I walk in then everyone goes about on about what they are doing, while I m waiting to order (only one in line) then once they realize 5 minutes later no one has helped me then someone will finally say something. I also went through the drive thru at 9pm and was told their food line was closed although the store doesn t close until 11pm. I hope corporate comes to help ASAP and hires a new manager, it sucks we can t have anything new/nice in Corpus.

Bad place for an online order, especially if only one person is working, and they get overwhelmed and have a breakdown and close the store without getting your online order. Still havent received my refund. Update: It has been over 10 business days and still no refund. I went to the business and spoke to the GM who just blew me off to someone else and said that they would contact me. No one has contacted me and its been over week. I dont understand why it is taking so long to get a refund or they could have just made my order that I never received when I spoke to the GM. I have made a complaint to the BBB, hopefully they can help me out.

I ve visited with my family twice already. The first time we visited we had high hopes to try a few staple items. We were disappointed in that a couple of things we wanted to try weren t available. We drove 30 mins out on a Friday at 7pm, and the restaurant closes at 10pm. I don t understand how several staple items are sold out so early in the evening on the first day of the weekend? The customer service wasn t knowledgeable of much on the restaurant and did nothing to try to make our visit less unpleasant. Besides that, everything else we purchased was great. Second visit with my family again wasnt a pleasant one either. Visit was at approximately 7:30pm, This time, I wanted to use my coupon for a free smoothie that I received on my first visit, but for whatever reason it didn t pop up when the cashier scanned my app code. The cashier lady just kept answering I don t know , to my questions about the coupon and that would be a question for the manager . I replied if she could go ask her now please, and all she did was smile and say I don t know and chuckled. I left it like that and still placed our order. I was very thorough with my order to avoid mistakes but she still managed to not get my order right. It was simple, i asked for a side of honey for my oatmeal/chia bowl. When I got up to ask for my side, she said it was already added on top of it. And I said I wanted on the side, and she just walked away to the back while I waited. Another young lady brought me the side of honey. As time passed and we were still sitting enjoying our order, the cashier lady kept talking to her co-workers whispering and quickly glancing at us, and immediately resuming their tasks when noticing I had seen them. That behavior continued on several times, All this while their manager was there and did nothing to address the situation. PS. Another commenter said they had given her a PB cup for her pup. So I assumed it was pet-friendly. We took our puppy with us and right when we got there, a lady nicely handed me a small cup of Peanut butter for him. And although he s a well behaved puppy, he barked several times while I took my kids to the restroom, and my husband was approached by staff and told him dogs weren t allowed. So we had to leave. With the gossiping behavior and the puppy situation we got to the point of feeling very uncomfortable and leaving before we were even done. * Overall, the food was great, and I understand it isn t a fancy restaurant but they highly lack quality and professional staff. And unfortunately will not be visiting again. It it isn t worth driving 30 minutes and being treated indifferently.

The drive thru is the slowest in the history of drive thrus. We waited for 28 minutes, behind one person for one smoothie. There were no people inside and the person ahead of us had 2 things. That is ridiculous! Do better!

I found nasty hair in my Chia oatmeal so I asked to get another one. The cashier (unfriendly) looks at it and takes it to the side and whispers to another girl then takes it to the back. Approximately two minutes later she comes back with the same bowl but added a whole lotta yogurt and honey. I decided to investigate I found half of the hair..it was still in the bananas. So I take it back and asked for my money and say the hair was on the bananas...why would you use the same bananas. Upset with no apologies she says I did throw it..lol.. girl go lie to someone else. Gross.. (2 young blonde girls at 9:15 pm Wednesday)

Very friendly staff Amanda and Kenzie are always here when I come in and always greet me the second I walk in, they always have a great new suggestion for me to try that day. Overall it s a way better place from when i first started coming here back when they opened. Edit( 8/4/2024) The new Manager ( Kyle ) or whatever he is, terrible letting your staff do everything while he was just standing / walking around in the middle of a rush, absolutely terrible service. Will not be returning, can t believe it was so bad.

This is in regards to my door dash experience. There was a miscommunication between the dasher and restaurant that resulted in half the order not being delivered. The dasher was inconsiderate and blamed the restaurant but the restaurant had the order ready from the start. They deeply apologized for the dashers mistake and took it upon themselves to remake the order and personally sent someone out to deliver it. The food was delicious and I am so appreciative of how they handled the situation.

I was so happy to have one of these open just 2 min away from our home! We have tried their San Antonio location and it was amazing so we finally tried Corpus location today and it was even better! First Drive thru tropical smoothie we have been to. The drive thru was so fast! Smoothies delicious as always! Updated, July 18,2024: yikes!!! Havent been here in a while and it was VERY SLOWWW today. I waited forever at the drive thru!! This is ridiculous.

I live in Louisiana and I get TS often. I m in town visiting family and thought why not, I love Tropical Smoothie. Ordered on the app. I show up and my smoothies are still just sitting and melting in the blender. They hadn t been put in the cups and therefore they were more of a cold juice instead of a smoothie. I also ordered a chicken pesto and for some reason I had to wait another 10-15 mins for that. When I finally got it pesto was all over the inside and outside of the sandwich which then obviously made the paper and everything else messy. Terrible. Everyone that works at this location looks confused and should not be dealing with customers in the first place. They have zero customer service. Thankful I don t live here and even more thankful to not return.

I have never been to a place so unorganized. Everyone that was working seemed to not care whether the customers had the correct order or not. Three people walked out and four people had the wrong order. I waited for 15 minutes to pick up my order (which was never ready in the first place) and during my time there, NOBODY walked out of there happy. When I thanked the girl that handed me my order, she didn t care to say anything to me and instead rolled her eyes and shook her head as she walked away to the back. There is no organization, customer service, and much less management.

I personally have been here a few times and each time I ve noticed a pattern with how slow the drive thru is. I understand that maybe there could be too much cars but each time there has been a max of 3 cars and i ll sit here for 30mins+ The smoothies are alright but very bland. The workers are nice but their work ethic could use a bit more training. Food is the best of it. All in all if you re in a rush to get somewhere or just want your drink/ food quick, I d suggest going elsewhere.

I go to this specific tropical smoothie often and typically enjoy it. At times food could be a little better. But I enjoy the smoothies for sure and that s why I continue to return. But today I was disappointed as I do not usually have 100$ bills but that s literally all I had today and wasted my time because they do not accept those. Which I understand fake bills, but people can fake any bill I suppose. Or I guess they just don t keep change on hand?? Anyhow I work in the restaurant industry and we would never turn anyone away because they had 100$ bill. So they missed out on 16$ for 2 smoothies because they don t accept bills over 50. Lol. I think I will continue to make my smoothies at home for a good while after them not accepting my hard earned money.

Went fornthe first time. On Sunday. I had the yogurt bowl I believe, now the Accai one is awesome. I kids had different wraps or some sort of sandwich looking deals. They really liked them . Very juicy and full. Now my daughter had a smoothie banana strawberry little bland but probably all natural no sugar added so if you like that this is for you. Now 4 stars because it eas a little pricey for my taste. Now would I recommend it. Yes. Especially the yogurt fruit bowls.

I love the smoothies here, but they seem to mess up on orders quite a bit. It s so frustrating bc it s not cheap. Watery smoothies 2x now, no utensils to eat my lunch, missing ingredients that I paid extra to add, tomatoes were mushy (not fresh), and my smoothie is in 2 kids cups bc they were out of lids for the large cups. I worked there for about a month & 1/2, there is no manager or there so called GM, the GM we had walked out cuz of the pay I left cuz of the pay really 8 dollars and all the work I was doing, when I was told I was getting 10 an hr they got me messed up, also 5 employees left right after that GM left, they never have product cuz there s no manager to order inventory, all fruit for the smoothies are frozen, the kids that work there will put whatever in ur drink if they are out, don t order anything with bananas they are brown and soggy, the blonde girl Lydia needs to stop discussing to guests all of TSC problems, someone needs to talk to here about her hygiene and dress code, she is rude to guests and needs to stop telling them her personal problems, Jay ur amazing a problem solver always there to help anyone out she is the one I looked up to, Frieda amazing young lady wish she had stayed there, Louis needs to be more abservant of who his good employees are, the kids that work there spend there time on the phone that s why the orders take so long, the kids come in and make there own food and don t even pay for it, this place is so nice they just need the right management to take care of it, GGOD LUCK!

I hate leaving bad reviews. last couple of weeks its been a hit or miss. I go in the evenings if the lobby isnt closed early. A few times its been closed early as 6:30pm. My food has been made incorrectly or the food portions has been so tiny. But drinks were always ok. I only go there because its close to my work. The tiny night time workers are nice and welcoming. I went today during the day with some of my coworkers. no one Welcomed us or said hello, hi nothing. I can tell from their facial expressions the employees did not want to be there also from there tone of voices. When given my drinks orders the cashier didnt pay attention and didnt wrong. (No big deal) it was easy correction. The drinks took alot longer then expected. There wasnt anyone else in line. When giving the drinks they shorted us 1 straw. We were on are lunch break so got drinks and headed back to the office. This is were the Tragedy happened. The drinks looked funky. They were not the normal colors they usually are. We tried them anyways They tasted horrible. I tried calling the store. No one picked up. 3 drinks had to be trashed. Like I honestly dont understand how someone could mess up all 3 drinks. But they succeeded. If I didnt have such a limit time for our lunch breaks my co-workers and I would of gone back to show them the messed up drinks. Waste of time and money.

Amazing food and smoothies as always, though the team is ignorant to basic food service etiquette. I don t have much of a standard but to not acknowledge us as we walked in then wait about 2 minutes before taking my order is rather unwelcoming. Then while taking our order said that s a *explicit* bet in front of my wife that s when I actually started to feel negative towards the environment. They proceeded to cuss each other other, say rather disgusting things and so on. Very very large failure on the hiring manager as well as the manager who created the environment. If you want good healthy this is definitely the place but just go through drive thru to avoid such awful workers.

we walked in, the blonde girl with the undercut told us it d be a 10-15 minute wait, didn t take our orders and then just ignored us for almost 20 minutes, we finally placed our orders online, and waited for another 20 minutes. we finally asked where our orders were and they said that they were out of all bowls, asked us what we wanted to replace it with, i chose a smoothie (with difficulty, they were also out of some ingredients). I paid $10+ for a bowl (I added peanut butter for over $1), a smoothie is $6, and the girl kept insisting that I needed to pay HER $3. I insisted she was wrong because what, and she rolled her eyes at me and got the assistant manager. the AM didn t know what was going on so I had to explain it to her, and even then she just threw the receipt at me and a couple buy one get one coupons (that are only valid at this location) and ALSO rolled her eyes at me. I ve been here over an hour, and still have not received my food. tired and late for class. the smoothie tastes like just ice. edit: the chicken pesto was just okay, not worth the trouble

i normally LOVE tropical smoothie but this particular location is horrible with customer service. we walked in not long after opening and they told us it would be a 10 minute wait to take our orders. 20 minutes later they still hadn t even acknowledged our presence so i just ordered online and then it took them an additional 20 minutes to get my order done (when it was said to only take 10) and one of my friends who had also ordered separately was told they didn t have any smoothie bowls (somehow forgot to mention that for the previous 40 minutes we had been sitting here waiting) and charged her $3 extra to substitute for a smoothie which is cheaper than the bowl and still charged her and when she was trying to ask why, this irritated blonde girl started rolling her eyes at her and talking to her like she s stupid. they have a mobile ordering station and yet they don t even put their mobile orders in there. they hide them in the back behind the counter and just make you sit there and wait because they don t even realize what s going on. worst service i ve ever experience in my life and that s saying a lot. i highly recommend tropical smoothie, but not this location. you will only get met with attitude and long waits

I ve been coming here for a while now and it used to be one of my favorite places. Lately the smoothies have been tasting very watery and mainly ice rather than blended properly. I gave it another try today and not only did it take forever, it was watery again and overfilled so the lid popped of and spilled all over my car. This was my first time and I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap w/a pomegranate plunge smoothie plus a little cup of peanut butter for my Trevor! The smoothie was so good, the wrap was okay but filling. As for the service given by Ms. Val from Harlingen, she did great, very sweet young lady, great listener, willing to answer every question I had and she even gave me her honest opinion on the food, great customer service. Ordered a peanut butter cup smoothie and it tasted like straight up water with a drop of peanut butter I don t think peanut water sounds appealing to anyone. Customer service was alright. The kid we ordered with didn t repeat the order back and was mumbling, so it was difficult to make the order. Because the order wasn t repeated, they missed a smoothie. We tried getting their attention at the window about the missing smoothie, but they straight up ignored us. This location is not recommended .

There is seriously something wrong with this store. There is theft going on with people walking in and grabbing the online orders and walking out of the store. That s happened to multiple orders of mine and my husband s orders right in front of their employees eyes. This happens because customers are literally not acknowledged going in or out of the store, not one hello, thank you or goodbye. One time an employee was extremely rude and gaslighted me about my drink not being made through an online order because I placed the order 3 hours ago and it had to be thrown away when I d just placed it 30 minutes earlier. I once waited 30 minutes for my 1 smoothie be made only to watch the employee hand it to a customer who came after me, so I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for 1 smoothie. I never wait in the drive through because the wait for anything is 30+ minutes. I once watched an employee fake like they were licking the side of my drink while sitting and waiting for eternity in the drive thru for my food; it was absolutely sickening.

I am so excited they opened a Tropical Smoothie, in CC. I found TS while living in Little Rock, then in Missouri. On a recent visit home, I introduced my Mom to Tropical Smoothie: Bahama Mama and Blimey Limey. And it didnt disappoint. Come on people, support this local business, dont let this good thing slip away, like so many, other places do in CC. If you have not tried it, you wont be disappointed.

The food and smoothies are amazing! Just make sure you don t have anything planned for the rest of the day if you order here! I had one of those T-Mobile Tuesday coupons to this place and accidentally forgot to apply it so I asked him if there s anyway I could cancel it then apply the coupon to it then if not, it was ok. They said it wasn t possible and they gave me a couple of coupons And apologized. I told them like I said it s no big deal. I was the one that made the mistake. I waited about 15 minutes before asking them what happened to my order? They said they canceled it and that they couldn t refund me the $50 that I had spent and that s why they gave me the coupons!!!! I never once said I didn t want my order! This is not the first time I ve had an issue with this place! I feel like they don t understand anything that I say like when I said, I wanted it to of the peanut butter sandwiches, and they only rang me up for one, or they ll forget to give me my edible straws, or give me the wrong order entirely! Or leave out things like the Energizer, when I literally paid extra for it!

I really love their smoothies and I finally got to try their chicken pesto flatbread which was delicious! Update: I went again to pick up my free flatbread and ordered the same one as last time. It was made better. I went through the drive thru and from ordering at the speaker to get my sandwich, it took 15 minutes! While waiting, I noticed the same worker from last time running around trying to fill orders from inside and drive thru. I also observed the same big guy working in the back and probably a new female worker coming back and forth to the front counter. The main worker was running circles around the guys. The worker apologized and stated she put a cookie in my bag. An improvement, the store manager needs to take care of the good help they have try to get some if possible. First time visit, I ordered online trying to use a coupon. However, it didn t accept it. I attempted to explain this to the worker who kept going back and forth to the manager. The manager apologized and gave me a VIP card in leu of calling corporate to ask for a refund. I ordered a flatbread chicken, Brie cheese and mango sauce. It tasted good, it only had cubes of chicken, a touch of cheese and a sauce with no mango flavor. I will try this place again, give them a second chance.

Ordered on the app, they had everything ready and waiting. Upon entering employees were behind the counter but no acknowledgement whatsoever, no hi, hello, welcome, nothing. One of the smoothies they overfilled so bad that not even they could get the lid on. It had a big puddle of smoothie underneath it so I had to clean up my cup and drink some smoothie so I could get the lid on. Upon leaving, no goodbye, thank you, have a great day, nothing. I did enjoy the three cheese quesadilla and the roasted tomato salsa but not a whole lot of food for $7. Now to the smoothies....I dont know how the hell you can make a flavorless smoothie but they sure did accomplish it. I ordered two different flavors and no flavor was present. I gave you folks a fair shot but will not be back. Ill stick with my beloved Smoothie King. They are super expensive for what I get but they also offer a superior product. Based on my experience and these other reviews I dont think TSC will be around for long which is sad.

This was my very first time trying this place! I placed a somewhat large order online order for 8:30am and arrived at 8:33am, employee at drive thru window was very nice and my order was ready as soon as i pulled into the drive thru! The last time I was there I got a Mango Magic smoothie and a chicken pesto flatbread, and both were delicious. The customer service I received from Skylar was so great. If you have no better place to be at, this is the best place to go to. The SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!! The first couple of weeks they were open, the workers seemed on top of their business. The service has gone down hill since then...the drive thrus take almost 20 minutes to get your food out. One time I was in the drive thru and the worker on the speaker told me to wait just I moment. Well, I ended up waiting for 30 minutes. The smoothies look like there is NO EFFORT put into making them. The powder put into the lean machine smoothie was not properly blended and I spat out literal white chunks that tasted like medicine. Theyre almost always watery. Another time consisted of my smoothie in literal soup form. I love tropical smoothies food but would also love to see a difference in the staff performance!!

So the first time I went to this location they did really well; it was the first week they opened. Every time after that it has gotten worse and worse. The drive through takes over 30 minutes minimum and I feel like I can t order food and smoothie at the same time; if I order both one of them is messed up and either my smoothie melts or my food gets cold. It s crazy to pay $20+ for 2 propel just to have to have it remade every time I go. Today for example, I ordered a detox, add pomegranate, a kiwi quencher add pomegranate, a flatbread and a Turkey bacon ranch, no ranch. The person who helped was super nice but the detox didn t have any pomegranate added to it, the Turkey bacon ranch had ranch on it and needed to be remade (that usually is the thing that has to be remade because they always put the ranch on it) and by the time I got the new sandwich my wife s smoothie was completely melted so now it s in the freezer at home to try to thicken it back up. I will not be going back here for a while. If this was a one time thing I wouldn t even care but I have had similar things happen every time I have gone here, at least 6 other times.

Went in for a quick lunch, there were several people sitting, waiting for their orders, I looked at the menu and ordered turkey bacon ranch sandwich with a banana and two sunrise sunset smoothies. Went and sat down to wait for the order. While we were waiting guy came in said he had been waiting in the drive-thru for 25 minutes. They quickly made his smoothie and he was on his way. Then one of our sunrise sunset smoothies came a few minutes later. The second one came then about 10 minutes later. One of the other customers that was waiting before we got there got his food. He said hed been waiting 30 minutes just before 30 minutes was up. My sandwich finally came and had to remind them about the banana. Looks like they do a good job on getting the drinks out. They need to work on speed of getting the food out. Also need to work on cleaning the tables and the floor. The smoothie and sandwich were good service and cleanliness needs work

Perhaps the longest drive thru I ve ever experienced. I ve tried it three times now and each time, it takes about 20-25 mins with only two cars in front of me. The third time, I left. Been to plenty of tropical smoothie drive thrus and this is the by far the worst. Food is the usual tropical smoothie but I m not sure why it takes so long to get anything. Every time I come here the place is dirty. The tables have trash on them, the floors aren t swept. They re especially not kept clean behind the counter. Pieces of food all over the floor, empty smoothie containers, lids and straws all under the counter tops. Last time I was here the trash can didn t even have a bag in it. Your shoes feel sticky from the floor as they have clearly not been mopped. I ve yet to see a manager here at any one of my visits. The employees are always talking and running around as if there isn t a set position for them. My food came out before my smoothie did, my last visit, and that s because I had to go and ask for it. It never got done because no one grabbed the sticky note from the order printer. This is an overall review of my several visits. Every time I ve come it s been a poor experience. This visit I didn t even get to order food because they were out of cheese. This place just seems completely chaotic with no apparent management. The young adults are clearly unsupervised.

The first time I went there was around lunch time, the wait was longer than I d like but I am patient and figured this was a lunch rush kind of thing. Today 02/24/23, I went with a group of friends after lunch and went with the mindset that this may take some time and we were okay with it. The smoothies are amazing and staff was nice, but my poor friend waited over an hour (no I m not exaggerating) for a sandwich. We saw no less than 15 cars come and go in the time we were waiting. She brought this to their attention and she was told they d have to remake the sandwich suggesting that they gave it away at drive through and it d be 5 minutes. My other friend got her salad after 45 minutes and it was missing the chicken. I felt horrible for the staff as it seemed they needed help and guidance.

I ordered a flat bread, avocado grilled cheese sandwich and two smoothies. Ordered ahead on the app and chose the option of later instead of ASAP. That didnt matter though because when I went to pick up the order, they informed me they did not have my order and asked me to tell them what it was. Waited an HOUR to get my food. Even telling them what I ordered didnt matter because I got home and they gave me the wrong flatbread and forgot my side to my grilled cheese. I went back to the place to tell them and kept getting cut off with the employees saying im sorry were really busy. I understand being busy because i had worked as a server for quite some time, but what I dont understand is as Im standing there watching them prepare orders there was NO sense of urgency. It was almost like slow motion and when theyd finish one order instead of moving on to the next they waited for the drive thru employee to ask them do you have this? and THEN they would start the next order. Fast forward, I get home and sit down to eat my now cold avocado grilled cheese, just to realize they didnt even make their own sandwich right. There was no tomato spread on it. To top it all off, instead of being offered a refund for all that happened I received a coupon for buy one get one free. So I have to purchase something again in order to be compensated for their mistakes? Thats wild. Whats the point of ordering ahead anymore?

I am a huge fan of TSC and have been frequently using the app at the Rockport location. Never have any issues there, order is always right, they don t forget anything. Even the chicken is perfect. This is the 3rd time I have come here to the new location. My chips were not in the bag, but the biggest concern was the chicken. It was kinda chewy and didn t taste right. I ate halves of each half. Smoothie was fine. Staff were courteous and friendly. I am happy there is a better option for healthier food in Corpus Christi, please don t screw it up for us and get it together.

I ve been eating tropical smoothie for about 20 yrs now as I grew up where it originated, so I m very aware of how it should taste. While the food has the potential to be great, I ve gone 3x and had issues with every order. I always have to ask for extra dressing (which costs extra) in my wraps because there is never enough. Then after asking for extra on the wraps, didn t get any at all and went back to get more. One time, I didn t have sides with my orders and went back in to ask for my sides. Another time my smoothie wasn t made correctly. I know they just opened but you don t need to skimp that much on dressing.
