We visited the Tavern-on-the-Bay for a couple of drinks. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating. The drinks were good, cold, and reasonably priced. Not a large selection of liquors, but the offerings were sufficient. I will return when next in CC.

This place is the absolute best! The food is delicious, the service is great, the location is superb, and they are dog friendly. They even have a dog menu where you can get your dogs lunch or dinner. Either chicken breast or hamburger patty with plain white rice plus pup cups for dessert. Like WHAT? I took my lab and my golden along with my family and we all had the best time. Highly recommended!

We went for dinner. The service was top tier and the drinks were okay. Our waiter Mike was so nice answered all our questions & helped us out. He was so nice that we didnt want to tell him our food wasnt that good. The food presentation was nice but it tasted horrible. The grilled food entrees were extremely dry and had a strong fishy taste and the fried food was over cooked tasted almost burnt but I think they had the oil they fry in for a very long time because you can taste it. Atmosphere was nice, suggestions would be to add more fans because it was extremely hot in certain areas.

Unfortunately, the restaurant does not carry AC inside the establishment, but they do have fans that help during the harsh summer weather. The hospitality they carried for me, my wife, and our 9 month old son was superv. The food was overall amazing!

I loved this place! They don t have AC so be prepared to sit in the outside heat but there are covers over the porch. I thought the food was amazing. The chef counted the wrong number of calamari orders so they brought us a free one and it was sooooo good. Vickie was our server and she was so kind and really made the visit such a memorable one.

I want to rate this restaurant higher, the food was delicious and the drinks were good. The problem is that the bar countertop is sticky. It s beyond horribly sticky. Every time we lift it up our drinks. It would ve ripped the coaster off and there s leftover coaster residue from the people before us. They need to clean this place and reseal the bar. It s disgusting!

I was pretty excited to eat here since they claim to be dog friendly. We took our family pets (shitzu and maltipoo) both small dogs today. They are not used to being out in public, since most restaurants here are not dog friendly. I am not going to lie, they have instances of barking and getting excited while we were there, not continuous. There were only few tables occupied and most of them tried to pet our dogs from afar, hence they get a little excited. We waited to be seated for 45 minutes and again probably another 30 to have our food. As soon as we got our food and started eating, the manager approached us that our dog has been acting aggressive and they ve had 3 complaints and that she could pack our food for us so we can leave. I was shocked. They were barking playfully (probably some people got annoyed and we understand). But we were there for more than an hour, they could have refused service from the very beginning rather than have us wait just to be offered to pack up our food so we can leave with our dogs. It was my birthday celebration meal and was ruined like that. To have my family continue eating and enjoy their food, I left to our vehicle with our dogs.

We arrived on a very hot summer afternoon, ready for our tastebuds to be quenched. We were not disappointed. The Monsoon--tasty mango puree and mix of spirits--was awesome! The Thunderhead Mojito had the perfect balance of rum and mint. Glasses were cloudy with water spots. The mahi was cooked well, but the guacamole sub par. As for staff: Paloma was incredible! extremely saddened by the way my fam and I were treated. When we got there the hostess said that there was a shift change and it may take a while, completely understandable. We got seated eventually (still okay with it) and were seated minimum about 10 minutes, after us two different parties arrived. A few minutes passed and both parties were being helped and even got there beverages. I asked a tall blonde girl what was going on and she legit said oh., they may have forgotten . A few minutes more passed and nothing. I honestly felt embarrassed by it all and thought of so many reasons why my family and I got ignored. I honestly felt overwhelmed and left out. So we got up and Began walking our while the employees just watched and no one stopped us to ask what happened. But that s okay, it gave my fam and i to walk to Landry s and received top shelf service and the food was beyond amazing. Everything was perfection. Thank you to Landry s for hosting us

Drinking by the ocean! They have a handful of taps and a couple interesting beers. One section moves with the water and some folks cant drink here. The bar was uniformly sticky and hot but out of the sun. Views of the city and the water are nice. Parking is weak. Go elsewhere for that sweet air-conditioning. Food was fantastic. People seriously wait in line for 2 hours for this place?! No joke, when I was leaving people were waiting 2hrs to eat here, but at least you can walk along the head even though it is almost all for parking and theres exactly zero shade.

I love this place! Where else can you go during the work week, sit outside on the dock, in the marina, under the cabana, and have lunch in such a happy place? The food is great, the staff is well trained and polite, the atmosphere is festive and relaxed. An essential and convenient stress reliever for anyone who works downtown! Luv, luv, luv, this place! The fact that it was pet friendly was a big + for us! My husband was in town for work and I brought our dog to keep me company and I didnt want to leave him in our hotel room. If you havent seen Claudia Melton perform Harrisons Landing, do yourself a favor and check her out. Amazing voice and stage presence and family friendly. Staff was great and accommodating. Good was on point and the view of Corpus is perfect.
