Ghrist Law Firm has been repeatedly instrumental in handling delinquent loans and foreclosing properties in North Texas. The firm has been very diligent, responsive and had excellent control over the whole process. Im trying to help my brother contract for deed in Texas( Im in Colorado). This one page/ blog about contract for deed in Texas was literally amazing. Ive never wanted to thank a web page before. But this one page gave me almost all the info I needed. It was thorough and smart and technical and not one word was wasted. Its just rare find a website that just does it all the way right.. And didnt charge me. I actually think that if they charged for it.. it would be worth it . Thank you for your excellence. Now I hope to find what to do instead of a contract deed. Cause you guys got your point across

Very disappointed with this firm. Mr. Richard took on my moms case on a foreclosure & hasn t been able to help. My mom has been calling the office to obtain information on the case and his response is always the same. That he hasn t heard back from the association lawyers. This case has been open since July & it s now end of September and still with no answer. He did not try his best at all. His recommendation has been to pay out what the association is asking for, there is a reason why a lawyer was hired and why that money wasn t paid out at the beginning. We where hoping a lawyer could help on a lower payment agreement. My mom did a last call today asking about her case and they said the same thing, my mom asked if he was going to be taking her case seriously or if she needed to go find another lawyer & their response was for her to find another lawyer. What kind of lawyer says that to a client that is on the verge to loosing her home. Him sending emails was not enough. I myself called multiple time to the associations lawyers and they where always willing to release information, but as soon as they realized that the case was being handle by a lawyer they would say he was the only one authorized to call and speak on this. I cannot stress my disappointment enough. I m more broken that my mom might be losing her home and all because this firm couldn t help. We really hope to find a better lawyer. I saw a lot of great reviews when we came here and definitely thought we could be one of those.

My life is forever changed because of this firm and Ian Ghrist. I spent years looking for representation just to be turned away due to financial shortcomings. My home was lost when I got swindled by an investor when facing Forclosure. The investor used multiple contracts and false promises to get my home from me in a sale, leaseback, option agreement pretend sale . When Ian heard my story and knew I had a case and took a leap of faith in helping me as I didn t have the financial means to pay initially. He has changed my life by providing his amazing services to win back my home. 4 years after being made homeless and struggling to survive I am now back in my home. I wish I had met him sooner and I would have been home much sooner as he was able to get my case handled in under two years amid covid which is amazing. He is so intelligent, hard working, skilled, and detailed. He is also a great human with a heart and compassion not seen with most Attorny s. He handeled a lawsuit for me. Got me my fathers home back. Then helped me sell it at a good price. He was very professional , responded quickly, always had what he needed to get the job done and allways delivered. He has good advice too, so listen when he speaks.

Ian has to be one of the most incompetent lawyers I have seen. He has filed several items and not on one had he correctly served a single party. My attorney had to write him to inform him. Lucky, for his client, we were polite and agreed to an extension on temporary restraining order. I will keep everyone updated with more reviews at each hearing. I will also go back to his previous motions and post them with the rules showing his errors.
