I ve been here a handful of times and each one is hit or miss on service. Mostly miss though. I went there last night and after we were seated, we never saw a hostess or waiter again. After waiting 20 min to be noticed, we left and went elsewhere. On the way out, 3 waiters came shuffling out of the bar area giggling and playing grab-ass with each other. Of the times we did get served, the food was okay to good depending on what you got. Most of it seemed to be frozen food rather than fresh, so set your expectations accordingly. For Cajun authenticity, if you know Cajun food you may be disappointed. It s not all bad, but not the first place I d go for authentic Cajun food.

Ahi tuna came out and smelled terrible, tried it and almost got sick at the table from the taste. Sent back and ordered spinach artichoke instead. The chips were cheap bagged chips and the spinach was canned spinach. Not our favorite. We have been two other times and had a decent (not great) experience. The servers are friendly but the food is not worth the stop for us anymore. Hope this place can turn around, great menu, but they don t deliver quality.

We got the alligator bites as our appetizer and they were pretty good. But when I got my chicken fried steak it looked like something straight out of a school cafeteria. The meat was dry and the fried crust fell apart and was too soggy. The meat had no flavor and resembled the food of a school cafeteria. My sweet potato fries had no flavor and felt warm, not hot. Our server seemed in a rush to kick us out because we had been given our receipt before even halfway through our meal.

I m always surprised it keeps open. I have been there more than a few times as it s close and I want it to be in my rotation. Every time it disappoints and gets a 6 month pass. It s a whole package thing too - service, food and atmosphere. Maybe things will change but now after 4+ years I won t be contributing to its persistence.

Gumbo ya no not gumbo salty rice. Rue was way off. Crawfish ok. Fish ok. Nothing to right home about. But in a day when very few people carry cash 2.99 % increase to use a card unacceptable. It is a cost of doing business but saying 2.99% discount when using cash is a lie and not to put it on your receipt really sketchy.

Always looking for a new place to eat when we visit College Station. Since Ive got Louisiana roots, figured Id give this a try. Saturday night around 7 pm isnt too busy in the dining area. Theres a bar that was booming so Ill have to try that next time. Kathryn(?) was a sweet server. She not only kept us informed with any delays but she provided options when what requested wasnt on the menu. The food is pretty good. The house salad is simple, yet tasty. My blackened red snapper with lemon garlic butter and lump crab meat needed more butter and garlic. I still recommend the dish though. I did enjoy a taste of my hubs grilled catfish. That was very tasty. And the calamari with three sauces was a winner. It was so fresh and well cooked! This appetizer paired well with my Swamp Water. I ended the night with the bread pudding that is served with ice cream. I also had a shot of Frangelico to go with. Overall, Im looking forward to another visit. Parking: More than enough parking available. Kid-friendliness: Fairly kid friendly menu with play of options. I went here for the first and last time today! The booth seating was terrible like sitting on bare wood very uncomfortable. I ordered a steak medium the first part of it was fatty and juicy still somewhat pink but when i got to the middle of it was completely overcooked. When I told the server she responded appropriately and took it back. Then immediately came back and informed me the manager said it was half gone so they couldn t do anything. I said well Im not going to eat that it s overcooked at least can you do some sort of courtesy. When the bill came they took $6 dollars of a $43 steak that I only ate half of and they threw the rest away. The server was nice. I asked for the manager. Mind you the fact that my meal was done and i was paying and I had to ask for the manager is absurd to me. The minute that food went back the manager should have been the one to come back to the table and speak with me but she cowardly let the server handle it! When she came to the table she had an attitude like I was trying to get over on the restaurant by complaining that my medium steak was overcooked, which it was and she agreed the meat was overcooked but still she felt justified with her disgusting attitude towards me like I did something to them!! She was so unprofessional clearly terrible at her job and unaware of what a mangers duties are! I explained to her how things should have gone. All the while she never apologized to me for my overcooked food. Charging me full price for food i couldn t even finish because it was severely overcooked! The restaurant also charges a 3% connivence fee to your bill to help them cut down on costs!!! Absolutely ridiculous! So the $6.00 i got off was now $3.00 there s a paper note taped on the front door which Im sure no one reads! This place is basically stealing money from people!! Don t waste your time going here!! What a nightmare! The manager looked like a kid! She clearly has no skill set in the service industry or how to treat people with dignity and respect! Instead she stole my money and insulted my character acting like Im trying to steal from them but its actually them who are doing the stealing with their secret 3% convenience fee added to your bill after your card is processed!! Absolutely disgusting!! Terrible establishment!! Appalling!!

Cant speak to anything other than the lack of service. Stood at the hosts desk for 4 minutes. There was no one there to greet us. A couple came in after me, a waitress walked past me to the new couple seated them, then never returned and went back to serve her tables (rightfully so). After 8 minutes we left never having been greeted with even as much as a well be right with you acknowledgement. They were not busy....just severely understaffed. Food was probably good but Ill never know. Went to Walk-ons; it was was packed, yet we got seated right away and service was superb. Yall should study them.

I haven t been here in a while, as the service has never been good. My daughter convinced me to give it another try, so we went for breakfast. It took over 30 minutes to just get our drinks. Our food order was also incorrect, getting more than we had originally ordered. The toast was literally bread with butter on it; and I had to wave down another server, as our server was nowhere to be found most of the meal. The grits were horrible, but there was no way of telling her, because she never checked to see how everything was. Or to offer refills. The fastest thing she did was bring the check. Overall, the food (breakfast) is mediocre and the service is probably the worst I have ever experienced. We will not be going back there.

First of all, if you ve never eaten Louisiana food this might be okay at best. However, I m from Louisiana and this is NOT it. For starters, the sweet tea was not sweet and it was weak. What we got: Onion Rings: Seasoned with thoughts and prayers, batter fell off, onion was raw. Chicken Stuffed Baked Potato: Two small pieces of chicken, cheese, sour cream, seasoned with air. Blacked Shrimp Alfredo: One word, BLAND. Service: She took our order, brought food and drinks, and the check. She did not check on us but I don t blame her. She was probably ashamed of the unseasoned food. Lastly, if you are from Louisiana or have eaten Louisiana food DO NOT GO! You will be pi$$ to the max. If you want real Louisiana food, look me up Sha! I got you.

Right off the bat, all of our silverware was dirty inside the rolled napkins. I went there to get some boiled crawfish, and they had some really big ones at a decent price but they had no taste or spice, though. My partners Jambalaya was disgusting looking, and it made her feel ill all day yesterday and today. My other companion got the lunch portion grilled shrimp, salad, and dirty rice for $25. The shrimp were super tiny, and she never got her salad till the end of the meal when the waitress finally showed back up. I wont be going back

The Brunch was wonderful! The Cajun Crab Cake Benedict was delicious. I would have never imagined crawfish etouffee would be such a great combination! Beignet fries were a delectable Sunday morning sin! It was quiet this Sunday morning. A must add to your brunch rotation!

I m in town visiting my family from Florida. They brought me here for the crawfish special Tuesday night because I love crawfish (originally from Louisiana) and I don t get to eat it in south Florida. Everything started out great then went down hill fast. We had a party of 10 but we were super easy. All of us drank water and got 3 happy hour beers (all mich ultra). All of us ordered the crawfish special among one person ordering the boiled shrimp. When food came out everything was correct except the boiled shrimp. The server made the mistake and thought they said shrimp poboy (don t now how that could be mistaken if they are suppose to ask about LTO and sides, which she didn t). We never got a refill on waters during the 2.5 hours of being there. I had to give my mom my water since I had a beer for her to have something to drink. We asked for butter and seasoning and never got it until asking another server for it. Our server destiny was only there to take our order and never saw her again. But she was prompt on her other 2 tables behind us and gave them great service. I m assuming she didn t care about us since she was getting an automatic gratuity of 20%. I work in the service industry and I would have never treated my table like this. I don t care if I was serving 1 person or 20. They all get the same service from me. At least give us a pitcher of water to refill our own glasses. Like duh. Work smarter not harder. We wanted to order more crawfish but waited forever to do so and when she finally came back she asked if we re ready for our checks. We said no and assumed we were being rushed out. We got our other order eventually. After waiting another 30 minutes after we were done, Our checks came out messed up. We started to tell her about it and she walked off mid conversation. Another girl had to come and get our stuff corrected, which she had an attitude as well. The service absolutely killed the whole experience. My family dine there a lot and said this isn t the first time the service has been terrible but they enjoy the food. We will be taking our business to OMG for future crawfish cravings. I m giving 3 stars because of the good food but the service deserves negative stars and I wish we could have given the tip to someone else.

I dont know why I waited so long to try this place. Ive been eating at Razoos for my cajun fix but this place is so much better. We started with the Crawfish Queso for an appetizer, it is cheese sauce with bits of crawfish and pickled jalapeno slices served with tortilla chips and it was very good. I had the Crawfish Ettoufee plate, its a very large serving to help justify the $19 price and comes with a slice of garlic bread. Very good flavor, not too spicy (I added some cajun seasoning from the table) maybe coulda used a bit more gravy but I would order it again. My girlfriend had the Jambalaya plate. It comes with sausage, pork and chicken over rice and a slice of garlic bread. The sausage on this was incredible, very smoky and full of flavor. This plate was entirely too much food for my girlfriend and in hindsight she wished she had gotten the smaller sized portion, but left me with a tasty lunch the following day. I cant wait to come back here and try some of the offerings on the extensive menu. Second trip here and I was not disappointed. The appetizer list is incredible, you could make a meal out of a combination of a couple. My goal is to try them all. This trip I had the Blooming Onion and Shrimp wrapped sausage and the Crawfish two ways for my main course, everything was outstanding.

Really good food. Went on a Sunday afternoon and not too busy. The service was ok, but the waitress forgot the salad included red onion, to which Im allergic to. They took the salad back and the one they brought back still had a little red onion in it, they mustve just picked it off. We got their shrimp kabobs as appetizer and they were really flavorful. The grilled catfish was very good. Flavorful and tasted clean and fresh (not muddy). Their side veggies are really good. They grill their veggies which really makes a difference. Their bread pudding is really good too. Will be going back!

Wife and I went there tonight. Sat right away...then waited...waited some more... and waited. Finally the manager comes out and says she thought our waiter was in the restroom. Took our drink order. Wife ordered a bar drink. Then we waited... and waited some more again. Finally a waitress shows up to our table apologized about the wait. She told us our original waiter had a big table and shed help us out. Asked my wife if she wanted a drink. We told her we had already ordered drinks. Told her what was ordered. She said she would check, and said the bar was probably already making it. We ordered our food. Then guess what... yeap waited. She finally comes back and tells us the bar was out of whatever was needed to make the drink. Wife ended up just getting water. Food finally came out. It was ok.. not great. We looked at the app we ordered and it was missing the gator. We informed our waitress, she again apologized, and said she would get us some gator. She returned a few minutes later and told us they were out of gator. Portions were generous. Waitress said kitchen was very backed up. Place wasnt that packed for a Friday night. Very sad bar staff, and kitchen didnt communicate with the wait staff. Waitress was very friendly, but she could only do so much. finaly the check comes out. We pay with CC. When I look at the check what was charged on the card was different than what was on the bill. I asked the Waitress about it. She told me they charge extra for using a CC. We go to leave, and yeap on thier door they had a sign up saying they charge extra for CC due to food cost. Another family who was also leaving commentee on the extra charge. We wont ever go back.

We were excited to try this place and sadly we won t be back. We got sat quickly, and waited for them to bring us a kid s menu. 10 mins pass before we even see our waitress, so we ordered drinks and told her we were waiting on a kid s menu. We get our drinks, still waiting on the kids menu. Another 10 mins and she comes back to ask if we want an appetizer. We order one, ask AGAIN about the menu and get told she s bringing it right away. My husband is probably the most patient man when it comes to restaurants and I am a restaurant manager, so this whole entire experience was unacceptable. I paid for our drinks and we left. Never again will we even attempt going back.

The service was awful. It began with the attitude on the phone before we even went in. From the person seating us to the very rude and unprofessional bartender Madi who actually spent a couple of minutes arguing with us about our drink being made incorrectly - twice. (Mixed drink served as a shot with zero ice) Seems there are other reviews with complaints about this particular server. The manager - rude and unprofessional accused us of being rude for returning the drink to the bar and simply stating that the drink was wrong. Have never encountered such a thing. Food was Ok but definitely not worth enduring the terrible service, and overpriced. Save your money and go somewhere they value their customers. Now on this day January 21st arrived at 10am and didnt get our order until 10:30 am, a thirty minute wait time from being seated. This is very unprofessional for any restaurant. If the waitress from another section hadnt taken our order we would have been waiting for an hour. So this is two thumbs down on service. This was my final trip here. The food has consistently gotten worse. This time I was served far beyond over cooked shrimp. Accompanied by watered down alfredo sauce. This was hands down the absolute worst dining experience. After I sent my food back no management came to see about the problem. Instead the poor server was left to be in the weeds. I had to ask for the manager. That went as dismal as the meal. All in all I will avoid eating here ever again.

I believe our servers name was Sam, but she did an awesome job (by herself) for our party of 10+. I ordered the DAT burger: fried egg (comes runny, but you can request it be cooked well or however you want it), tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, cheese, and mayo. Onions came on the burger, but I asked them to remove them. I would ask for a side of bang bang sauce to try with your burger. We liked that sauce with our fries as well. I substituted regular fries for sweet potato fries. My cousin ordered the cajun catfish ostuffed poboy that came with crawfish etouffee and raved about how good it was. My mom ordered the TADs berry pecan salad and enjoyed that also. I forgot what dressing it comes with, but my mom gets the raspberry vinaigrette and enjoys it. You have the option of adding grilled chicken or grilled shrimp (she added grilled chicken). If you wanted fried meat I wouldnt see them saying no if you asked, but the menu only mentions grilled. We also had a couple of orders of their beignet fries that always come out fresh and are very yummy

This is maybe the 3rd time Ive tried this place. Overall its just okay. Food and service is a hit or miss, the consistency is not there. Today I got the stuffed shrimp as appetizer and the red snapper as my main. The shrimp were big and tasty. The fish was a good decent portion but needed a bit of seasoning. The sweet potato fries were good. The house salad was not good it had a few pieces of wilted brown lettuce and 1 of the 2 tomatoes was bruised and going bad.

TaDs always has delicious food & great service! Today I came early to celebrate a friends birthday and loved the Crawfish Quesadillas and the Stuffed Shrimp. Ive also tried & loved the 1/2 and 1/2 Crawfish Etouffe & Fried Crawfish. Jayla was our waitress today and I cant say enough good things about this efficient, sweet, & friendly young woman! Jayla & the Manager went out of their way to correct a miscommunication over our dessert and we were the lucky recipients of the spectacular Audreys Pralines & Ice Cream!!! I think its the best dessert in town with their signature homemade pralines broken up over vanilla ice cram - just heaven!

Went 21/2 hrs to visit son and take family to eat. Food was horrible. Daughter in law ordered dundee crab legs they were out so git snowcrab less meat and smaller portion was 10.00 more. My blackened snapper didnt seem blackened none of the garlic butter they show and says on top of fish. Kids popcorn shrimp were OK. Appetizers not good. Ordered chocolate molten cake it was like a little Debbie bunt cake no Creamy chocolate inside just scoop of ice cream and chocolate syrup around the plate and cake. I would not recommend anyone to go there!! Cost 194.00 for all waste of money. Dont mind the price if good but not good is ridiculous NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN

This was our first and last visit. Took my son and daughter here. My son loves Cajun food and this place looked promising. Immediately upon entering, it felt wrong to me. The atmosphere felt unkept and it just has an overall uncomfortable feeling. We ordered a couple appetizers and they were very sub par and bland. No dipping sauce for the mushrooms (and trust me they needed it), so I was brought some ranch dressing in to-go cups. Two tables beside us remained un-bussed after an obviously large meal with dirty plates everywhere throughout our entire visit. The final straw was when my son opened his silverware (which were wrapped in cocktail napkins because they ran out of proper napkins) and it had somebody else s salad still attached to it. We decided it was best to stop the orders at this point and go to another Cajun restaurant in town to have a better experience. At first the waitress was charging us for the sides and drinks but after the manager visited, she cleared out whole ticket. She apologized and claimed that their GM had just quit. The employees were nice but the whole atmosphere is very commercialized and has fast food vibes. The furniture is very uncomfortable and the place is dirty. Not coming back.

We live just down the road and have been to Tads probably a dozen times. The food is generally good, a bit overpriced. The batter they fry with is just a bit sweet which can be nauseating if you eat too much. But, the main reason Im writing a review is because of our experience last night. We got there at 9pm and they didnt close until 10pm, so plenty of time for us to eat and be out before they even closed. We sat at the bar and the place was pretty empty for a Saturday night, with only 2 others sitting at the bar. The bartender got our drinks and then gave us a minute to look at the menu. She, then, poured some chemical/ cleaning product and hot water on the floor, and began scrubbing the floors. By the time our appetizer came out the whole space smelled very strongly of this cleaning product, so much so that that is the only thing we could smell and couldnt taste our food without that smell spoiling it. It was so strong, I had to cover my nose and mouth for a few minutes until it started to dissipate. But, then she came back to squeegee the floor and the smell was stronger than ever. I worked in the service industry, as a bartender, for over a decade and that was one of the most disrespectful things Ive seen staff do. First, it doesnt make any sense to me that the floors arent literally the last thing you clean when closing down a bar. But, regardless, they should at least wait until the restaurant is actually closed, as this was at 9:20pm. I never saw a manager to speak to, but we wont be going back there any more. It was such a disappointing experience for $75!!

Food; the gumbo here is where it s at. It is the best gumbo I ve gotten anywhere this side of the Sabine. The beignet fries are more like funnel cake fries, but they are extremely good, especially with the chocolate sauce. The French fries are good as well. Unfortunately that is it. Everything else that we ve had is so mediocre that you can literally pick anywhere else to go. The chicken strips for the kids seem like they d be good, but they have been extremely over cooked every time we ve gone and no one wants to chew on a chicken strip for 5minutes while consuming a glass of water. But as previously stated, if you want gumbo this is the place to go, hands down. The service is amazing. Those girls in there work their butts off. If our glass hit 1/2 they were asking if we wanted refills. And they are all very nice. The place is very nice and is very clean.
