Great sports complex. City does well maintaining facilities. Playground: Has a children s playground Toilets: Several restrooms located through out complex Dog-friendliness: Bring the dogs but pick up after them. Leashes required per city ordinance. Picnic area: A couple of Pavilions and bbq stations.

New turf fields are great and we play our company soccer team here with the city league. We quite enjoy playing the park. Lots of walking area and is peaceful or great for large groups to have a fun time or join a pick-up game and make new friends. Playground: They have a couple playgrounds that parents can chill while their little ones burn all that energy. Toilets: They have good restrooms throughout the park Dog-friendliness: Many people bring their pets here to walk. Even saw a lady walking her chicken.

Has turf and grass fields. There are pickup games most days when the leagues are not scheduled. Great place to walk around, practice sports, or just have outdoor fun. Playground: There are a couple shaded playgrounds. Toilets: Several restrooms across the area. Dog-friendliness: We bring our dogs here for training as there is lots of open spaces.

They have big turf and grass fields to do activities and a big gazebo with picnic tables. I have come here many times to play on the soccer fields or an open grassy field. There are often soccer leagues on Saturdays for kids so it can get busy and fields are often reserved.

This was recently rated the best city sports park in Texas. It is massive. Parking is busy but available. There are amenities in and around the park for visitors. You will not be disappointed if you have a multi-day activity here just remember you have to create your own shade.

Great ball fields! These fields handle rain like a dream. The City of College Station grounds crew kept every field in perfect condition all weekend, while 60+ teams played there for 4 days. Bathrooms were always clean and stocked too. Great job, College Station!

Great turf soccer fields for competition and practice. Phenomenal pavilion with free wifi. Three small playgrounds. Softball complex with 5 fields. Lots of greenery on the footpath. Public bathrooms at each park, pavilion, and the soccer and softball fields. Open nearly every day from dusk to dawn. There are a few geocaches here, if you arent a muggle.

My husband and I visited Veterans Park the afternoon of April 29, 2023 to view The Wall That Heals and pay our respects. It is a replica of the Vietnam Memorial and a mobile education center. It will be available until Sunday, April 30, 2023 until 2:00 pm. After viewing the memorial we walked the trail through the park and viewed the permanent memorials. Some of the restrooms were open and they had portapotties meat the travel memorial.

We are at Veterans atleast 3 times a week and like it. Only complaint is coming out of Veterans can be little tricky and gets backed up. Perhaps a traffic light can help.

I really used to underestimate this park. However, I learned that it is a great place to play soccer and other sports. Therr are several really nice playgrounds and covered areas. The park and the grass cover is well maintained and taken care of. Playground: Multiple playgrounds and they are all great! Toilets: There are some.

5 years ago, I found myself driving around in search of wisdom, purpose, direction.... Something to motivate these dry bones and tired muscles. I was extremely overweight and unmoved at the thought of ever being anything more then I already was.... My vehicle drifted into the parking lot of Veterans and the curiosity of what lay on the other side of that tree line seem to call out. So I parked and began an evening stroll.... There, I was reminded of all the lives that had gone before me to protect and secure a future of hope. As I sat in front of the WWII memorial my heart spoke, this....this right here. If you need purpose to better yourself, do it for them. Do it for the one whose heart was full of dreams yet cut short while sacrificing for freedom, for hope... you owe it to them to strive daily to live your best life. With tears in my eyes, I stood up and made a declaration. To myself and to those who have gone before me. I will strive to live my best life physically, mentally, and spiritually. Understanding and always remembering that it came with a price. I encourage anyone to stop by Veterans and ask yourself as you walk through time and ask yourself, are you living your best life?

Here for a sponsered soccer tournament. Beautiful multi-use athletic fields and Veteran Memorial Park. Only one food truck, very limited selection. The reason that prompted the review is to highlight the appalling lack of handicap parking. You would think being a memorial park for veterans, they would have seen to more parking for the disabled. Toilets: Dirty and out of toilet paper by 11 a.m.

What a wonderful day I spent in this park! Beautiful place to visit: full of amenities like a lot of different courts to play and the walking on the park is an amazing experience,full of history, clean and beautiful. After my visit I went to C&J barbecue for lunch time and I really recommend this place as well, very close to the park! The food is delicious! The brisket is out of the world!

Beautiful park and kept clean by the city. However, low on signage when trying to locate soccer fields upon entering the park from either direction. And not all the bathrooms are unlocked when soccer practice and games are in play!! Very frustrating when you have small children and grandparents that come to watch! Unlock all of the bathrooms when in soccer season!

I was walking my dog, and it began to rain, and while walking back to my vehicle, I slipped down on the metal part on the sidewalk, due to it got slipper due to the rain. So, fellow veterans and park goers be very careful; it could be a slip and fall hazar. Some warnings notification should be placed on those metal grates that attach to the sidewalks, especially by the pavilion area.

One of my favorite places to run. Lots of space and you can even learn some history reading the memorials and the sidewalk!! I love playing pokemon Go and this park has all the poke stops and gyms anyone can ask for. And theyre spread lit throughout the whole park so you get a really good walk.
