When this park opened up it was a nice place to visit. Very sad coming back. Scummy pond, dead trees. Looks completely forgotten.

Travelled 55 miles to try this course. T boxes not numbered. Baskets not numbered. Impossible to play without guidance. Very few people playing on a Saturday morning... not a good sign. Played 7 baskets (-2) couldnt figure out where to go from there. T-box 8 (one of few marked) had no apparent basket and the empty t-post seemed to be leading toward the road. Finally found someone who let me join him and his dog for a round. Turns out to be a fun course. Toilets: Didnt see a restroom Dog-friendliness: My guides dog took the lead most of the course. Fun, smart Black Lab.

My #1 favorite spot at tamu! Living in Texas felt like living in the extreme desert but riding my bike down the paths of this park felt so liberating.

Nice outdoor area: its usually not very crowded, has lots of space with some walking paths, ponds, and small rapids. Downside of being so close to campus is that you hear plenty of machinery. Could benefit from some park benches and tables as well, theres pretty much nowhere to sit without a picnic blanket.

Dogs off leash chasing ducks and people. Students swimming and fishing in the lake and none of this is allowed. Used to be a quiet nice park but not now. Follow the rules people! Signs posted no fishing or swimming and dogs are required to be on a leash at ALL times!

I included a picture of some snakes! Be aware! The course is nice but has a few drawbacks. Signage is practically non-existent. Download a map and follow that. There are lots if water hazards - one member if our group lost 3 disks. On the positive side each hole has long tee boxes and short tee boxes. Enjoy!

Only 18 hole disc golf course in town. A fairly challenging course with lots of water hazard. The disc golf course is very frequently used but neglected by TAMU maintenance. The park itself is scenic and has mnny ducks, turtles, fish, and even very elusive beavers. Again the park isnt well cared for but still a very nice quiet place for a walk. Many people allow their dogs off leash here so beware.

FINALLY found this place. Not unlike some others whove left reviews, pure grass and cement is all we could find when we tried a month ago. Found theres another Google page to find the map/park more precisely, but those using this one, when turning off Raymond Stotzer Hwy (60) onto Research, immediately on the right, theres brick signage Smart Park, and immediately following, turn right and voila, arrived. Such a gracious expanse to stroll, run and play with pups, play disc golf, watch crane and mallards wonder if weve brought food (please know, bread is really not good for them) and enjoy the scenery. So very grateful for the ample trash receptacles. Pups are trained to pick up trash, and certainty appreciated I could toss it in just a few feet. Not to say the place is loaded with trash, by no means, the A&M crew were busy even on a holiday weekend, getting what they could see. Definitely glad we eventually found this place, pups had the best time since moving to BCS 2 months ago
