We ordered from the category traditional Chinese food . The eggplant and tofu: nice! I liked it best. The spicy beef: nice! But portion is relatively small. The beef noodles: Big NO NO! Tasted weird. Will come again and try more dishes.

Great place to eat, amazing food, sometimes stellar service, sometimes not, there seem to be certain servers that rush the guests out, once closing time is approaching, and do a lot strange actions such as flipping up the tables and chairs around us or even mopping next to us?! Absurd, honestly The experience is great, however, so, long as youre not there at the end of the night 3 stars is all I can give until the Manager gets after the closing servers for this strange behavior of hospitality

Was attended to decently fast, Our drinks were brought out right away. Our food was hot when brought out to us, very flavorful and in a timely manner. Our waitress very attentive and on point with service. I do admit, paying 30$ per person is a bit pricey for dinner, however the COLD drinks and great tasting, hot fresh dinner really made up for it.

About a week ago I reach out on Facebook to find a Chinese restaurant that does a BBQ Pork in the area and massive shout out to Oishi Sushi Asian fusion for responding but also for knocking it out of the park! Literally the best BBQ Pork we ve ever had! Surprisingly the Sushi, Wonton Soup, Chicken Eggrolls & Pot Stickers were also just Amazing. This will be our go to place from now on, prior to this we were a Tjin group but Oishi is the place to be!

Phenomenal place to eat. Quick service, food came out fast and was delicious. I got the honey walnut chicken and the red one is the Szechuan beef. The chicken one was quite unique and tempura-like, sweet and somewhat rich. Worth a try for sure. The menu is daunting, but there really is an option for everyone.

25 years of eating sushi around the world: this place is a gem! If you actually like sushi and delicacies you cant get just anywhere, this is a refreshing sushi bar at the end of a rainbow over an ocean of mediocrity that plaques every city! The bar is where it is at with Xiong (pronounced like Shawn); he nails it every time and will let you personally know when the off menu delicacies come in. Best sushi I have ever had. Have eaten sushi in Japan, California, Singapore , Hong Kong , Toronto and all the Nobu . The one in Toronto was the closest. Mainly as they had live Uni and many types of live clams. My sushi group found this place while we were trying to find our place in College Station to meet every Tuesday. We had gone to all of them and were voting on our place. I was driving home saw the grand opening sign and this has been our place ever since. Why. Because this place serves sushi you cannot get anywhere. Abalone, Fresh giant clam , tuna from the azores,Aji to die for , the small sweet cold water clams. Update 1/16/2024 - after looking at their reviews, lack of response, and the way people describe being treated, it is surprising in this small town they stay open. From alleged poor food quality, service including insulting customers, adding tips to checks, etc, Horrible way to run a restaurant. I hope they change or find something else to do, but beware, theyre list of exclusions to dining here reads like a contingency injury attorney wrote it, and now we know why. Best of luck, be better! Original post: **When someone asks for shrimp it means shrimp, not chicken, and when they ask for no gluten, it means NO GLUTEN. I understand it was late, and the chicken brought (that was supposed to be shrimp) was previously cooked (as evident by how quickly you brought it out and the texture/taste) but my wife is already having stomach and intestinal reaction due to gluten, whether the ingredients or cross contamination. Removing the price of the meal is a nice gesture, and appreciated, but not at the detriment of my wifes health. For some it may be a diet choice, for others it is an allergen. The dishes were oily but tasted okay. Our waiter is fine. What bothered us is the usherer (a middleaged dark haired lady) who appeared to be passive aggressive. She declined our request to use a booth saying sorry, while these are not yet reserved but they are only for party of 6 on weekends. We had 4 so we accepted the small table. My senior citizen mother went to eat here yesterday. And the food was good. The service was okay at best. This is not why my mother left less then a 10% tip. She only left an 8.5% tip then the waitress had the nerve to ask her is something was wrong with her service. My mom told her is was fine. NOT exceptional, not great but fine. The waitress then smacked the tray with the tip on it and pointed to the $8 and some change said this aint even 10% and walked off mad. My mother was upset 1 because she was approached and embarrassed and 2 because that was all the cash she had on her after losing her wallet that same morning. So I Nor any of my family and friends will be return customers. And my circle is big. I cannot believe the nerve of her to make a scene and ask. All I can say if you depend only on tips then being a server is not the job for you. Tips are not mandatory its an appreciation. And she did appreciate you and would of made good with you on the next visit or myself without having to be called out. We take care of our servers at places we frequent. But you also have to understand 10% shouldnt have to be required for seniors citizens who built this country you now live. So have more respect.

Ive eaten here probably around 10 times and the food and service are always spot on. First time I had the Mongolian Beef (sorry no pics) and it was delicious. This time I had the Hot and Sour Soup to start and then Sizzling Pepper Beef. My girlfriend had Chicken Pad Thai, both were awesome. This is my go-to place to get sushi. They have the freshest sushi grade fish, short of catching it yourself. The staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on their products. If you are looking for high-quality sushi, this is the place for you. The large selection of rolls insurers that you will find something for you. My favorite roll is the Whats Wrong roll. First time here! Yall, good lordt this place is delicious. After getting my hair did (hehe ), I decided to come over and get some sushi for lunch. Such a goooooood decision! Upon entering, I was promptly greeted and seated. After prousing the menu for a few minutes, my server, who was fantastic btw, took my order of one of their lunch specials and some hot sake. Now look, I know its hotter than you know what out there right now, but dang it, I want my sake! Anyways, I got the wonton soup for a starter, it came with the lunch special I ordered. Then the California roll and salmon and tuna sashimi arrived shortly thereafter. Yall, its been a hot minute since I had good sushi...but lemme tell you, this was amazing. Such clean, fresh flavors. After finishing my food, I enjoyed the rest of my sake and called it day. The atmosphere is very nice, great for date night..hint hint. I even had a chance to talk with one of the chefs. Hes been in the sushi business for over 20 years! Hats off to him and his talent. From one chef to another, he did a damn good job. Surprisingly good for a college town sushi restaurant. It isnt up to say Houston standards which pale in comparison to Tokyo for Sushi, but this was quite good. Even had a few good Sake to offer (Dasai 45). So 5 stars for quality relative to the local environment, but dont expect it to rock your world like a great sushi restaurant in a major city. I havent experienced such a rude serving from anywhere. The worst service and RACISM. One of the waitress who served my table was very very terribly rude. She did not say any greetings and anything. When she put our foods ordered, she siad nothing and threw our dishes on the table and gone. Very disappointed that I have to take Oishi off my favorite places to visit. I ate two pieces of the Curry Chicken Katsu, I noticed some of the chicken didn t look right. I kindly notified to waiter and all I was told is that we have sold more questionable looking food on the menu, it s just the chicken part, and there s nothing I can do about that that makes me question the food quality, and doesn t really offer a solution for my problem. He left our table and my friends and I are left looking at the chicken in disbelief that he really thought there was nothing wrong with it. There is clear discoloration, and all he could say is that it was the chicken part I don t know what kind of chicken parts they re using, but that s not normal. Not once did a manager come assess the situation, or anyone be apologetic towards receiving poor quality food. Even the girl that took the plate back looked at it in disgust. They must have realized that there was something wrong, because when they took it back, they agreed not to charge me for it. Our first waiter came back and asked if I wanted something different AND THEN apologized after someone else (that was not a manager) handled the situation. I was very disappointed with the way everything was handled, and I m simply putting this here to warn anyone of their food quality, at least in the chicken. I ve never had any issues with their sushi.

I wanted to share my experience that I had not too long ago. Was going to let it go, but the topic of not so great experiences at restaurants got brought up, and this was the one that came to mind. My girlfriend and I go here a little after noon. We both like sushi and this was one place that came into mind. I love the ambience. We sidown and the waiter grabs our drinks. Order some vegetable tempura to enjoy as an appetizer. My girlfriend orders a roll and I order the sushi dinner combo, with nigiri and the option of ordering either a Philadelphia, California, or a Crunchy Shrimp Roll. I opted for the Shrimp roll. A few minutes later the waiter comes back informing me that the shrimp roll is only for dinner. I ask for the menu, because I was confused, pointing to the Sushi Dinner Combo section saying All Day . He comments along of the lines saying it s weird. I was ok with choosing another roll. When I got my plate, I also noticed that I was missing pieces of nigiri. I looked at the menu and compared it with the lunch combo. That s when I saw it didn t have the Crunchy Shrimp roll, and the number of nigiris that I received. Ok fair, I confirmed with the waiter that I was getting charged for the lunch combo. I did. I began to eat my California roll. I struggle with chopsticks, so I typically focus down on it. Eventually I got to one piece of roll that had something shiny. I pulled out the shiny object and it looked like a hair. My girlfriend said the same thing, and I even asked the waiter for his opinion. He said it was a hair. He took the piece to his manger to report it. Should ve taken a picture for my own reference, but I forgot :( . Don t know what happened from their, but probably my worst restaurant experience.

Hands down best Asian food in town. Traditional Chinese menu is authentic and sushi rolls exceed my expectations too. You might need to wait for 15-30 minutes around dinner time. The portion is regular. My wife and I usually order 3 dishes and wont be able to finish all of them.

I came here for a send off party held for a good friend and the place has very good quality sushi. I like to use tuna to judge how good the sushi is and the taste and flavor of tuna was on point. The fish was flavorful and had the right texture. Had multiple sushi boats costing around $600 but it was well worth it.

I would highly recommend Oishi Sushi. Very affordable prices for sushi and appetisers with good portion sizes. The waiters are friendly and quick with service. The sushi also taste very fresh and the ambients is good for lunch or dinner.

The food is delicious, yet overpriced. But the worst part is the host was horrible. The restaurant refuses to write a phone number down, so everyone has to crowd the host stand or gather outside. There is always a wait and the host was horribly rude.
