The concept is pure genius...scan your QR code at your table and place/pay for your order online is just magnificent to say the least! The atmosphere was cozy and comforting. Service on the other hand, I was not impressed. The bartender seemed to be the server as well My appetizer was served to me without any utensils and it wasnt a finger dish. The baked avocado stuffing was amazing, however, my avocado was hard as a rock, which was disappointing. The cocktails were mediocre at best. But back to the service. I tip according to service. The server was pleasant but not present. It is imperative to read the room and make sure your customer have everything they need to ensure a pleasant dining experience. After dropping off my appetizer she never returned to the table. It was the bartender that bought me my main course and second cocktail. She never circled around to clear the table or ask if I needed anything. I had to get up and request a to-go container after sitting there for a while realizing she was not returning but hey, its ok...maybe she was new is what I was thinking. All in all the food was OK. My shrimp boil couldve stood a little more seasoning but all in all it was tasty and filling

Second time eating here and ordered takeout but ended up just eating in store and the owner/manager in store treated me just like a normal walk-in customer which was great! Ordered the Happy Boil Happy Style which includes a snow crab cluster, 10 HEAD OFF shrimp (~0.5-1lb worth), and your choice of corn, potatoes, sausage, or egg or all of the above and includes some sauce and butter as well for ONLY $36. It was amazing and is now my go to seafood spot in the Austin Area. The shrimp was super plump, the snow crab was delicious, and the seasoning/sauce at the bottom of the tray was perfect to dip into and was full of flavor without relying heavily on salt. Will definitely be back to try some of their sandwiches and/or drinks but definitely an awesome must-try restaurant!!

What i ordered didn t state it was fried but came out so. It was more expensive than the fried meals so I was surprised. Second surprise was the extra crab I added to my plate. Never seen one come out soft shelled like that but that wasn t the issue. They didn t purge it before killing it so it was full of nasty intestinal poop. Was a very greasy meal. I think most people got the boil crawfish which I didn t notice. Also they didn t have a sign to seat yourself.

Food is amazing and fast. Pretty relaxed environment. Ive been going here 2 years about once a week, 2x a week during live crawfish season. Spending $80+ bucks every time, foods worth it. Staff is normally super awesome, friendly and nice, but there was a new women running the front orders this week on my Tuesday lunch visit... not a good experience. I saw her before here on the 11th, in the evening for the first time and her attitude was just not what is normal here. Hope she figures it out. I get being new and all, but a smile... friendly body language and tone can go a long way. Ill consider switching up to Deckhands or Abbys, if I have another bad interaction. I love this place, but when you pay a pretty penny Id rather spend it where people return my kindness.

Wanted to leave a review to say a few things! For starters Carlos is awesome and every time me and my boyfriend dine in he is so friendly and helpful and accommodating, gold star to him! Im from washington state where we have great crab and seafood and I ve also visited Louisiana where they have fantastic seafood and this location still makes my favorite crab and crawfish! If we could rate higher than 5 stars we would! Flavor the pack into the boils is incredible!

I m very surprised the food quality is not what it use to be. I ordered the oyster po boy and the the works with shrimp. The oysters were burnt barely in sauce the fries were cold. The shrimp was cooked to long. I guess it was good while it lasted they must have new cooks because the quality is no longer there. I ate the fries in my car no reason they should have been cold. The oyster po boy was also cold.

10/10 Birds Nest if you THINK about it get it. General taste is like avocado with sushi and sushi sauce. LOVED. Has shredded crabmeat. For $7 you cant beat. 6/10 Asada (Carne Asada) I take stuff off so I didnt have the Pico or sour cream but for me. I personally didnt like the style of fries and the sauce was something with lime juice and together just made it salty. The atmosphere was great. The staff were very helpful. Definitely recommend.

This place is awesome, its a real taste of Louisiana. Ordered the 1-1-1 combo which came with 1lb of crawfish, 1lb of shrimp, and 1lb of crab legs. All of which was perfectly cooked, amazingly well seasoned, and a great portion size for 2 hungry guys. Definitely finger licking good. Also ordered boudin balls, red beans and rice, and gumbo. The Gumbo was more dirty style which was pretty good if youre into that. The red beans were some of the best Ive had. The boudin balls were just ok, Id probably skip them next time as Ive had much better before, but it was still an enjoyable addition to the meal. Overall was a bit on the pricey side for the seafood but was to be expected for good quality Cajun outside Louisiana. Also side note, behind the counter service was amazing. Came here for fathers day with my dad, Im originally from Baton Rouge, and this spot really hit home on just about all levels and was one of my favorites Ive had so far this year. The boiled seafood and sides are absolutely worth a try if youre in the Austin area.

Hands down the best crawfish in Austin - and in the top 3 of crawfish I ve ever had. The signature sauce is beyond tasty. We did their 10lb crawfish special for $88.88 with half in the happy sauce at mild spicy level and the other half with happy sauce at spicy level. Spicy was perfect. The size of the crawfish varied in size but there were some big boys mixed in there. We loved the sauce so much that we ended up getting a side of potato and corn to dip it in the sauce after we finished the crawfish. Really appreciate the staff s recommendations on what to order. He also walked us through the whole menu. We will definitely be back.

Felt it was quickly put together, nothing stook out like its something I could easily make at home. Gosh darn it, yall don it RIGHT! The price is right for the amount of food you serve. Tonight was my fourth time in and there was a mistake with my order. Listen, mistakes happen. Ive always said unless your name is Jesus Christ, youre gonna make a mistake. Its HOW you handle it that matters. They jumped right on it, made it right, gave me a comp ( which was unnecessary but appreciated) ...and all was well. Ill keep going back. They really care about what they are doing. Thanks for *another* great meal! See you next week. Matt If youre not fired with enthusiasm, you WILL be fired with enthusiasm. -Vince Lombardi

Cant recommend this place due to bad customer service. Original review: The crawfish here is Viet Cajun and its one of the best places for it as far as flavor is concerned. The prices are fair and the quality is decent. Note that if you order extra sides like corn and potatoes you only get one corn and a couple potatoes, which werent worth the price in our opinion. I do really like their soft-shell crab too. Update: I ordered 5 lbs of crawfish during the peak of the season and the crawfish size here was very disappointing. By the end there was about a pound of extremely tiny ones that were barely edible and a ton of claws that had broken off other crawfish adding to the weight. This happened twice in a row. I contacted them on Instagram and the representative said they would give me a gift card for half off the next order of 5 lbs. but they never sent it. I havent been in since, but I am hoping if I go back I will have a better experience. I understand that crawfish sizes are variable but adjust the pricing for lower quality batches like a nearby Cajun joint does. Update 2: still have not received any response from the owner and Im dropping it down another star. At least follow through with what you said you were going to do. Bad customer service etiquette.

Title: A Seafood Delight at Happyrito: Crispy, Fresh, and Entertaining Happyrito proved to be a seafood lovers paradise with its impeccably fried shrimp and flounder. Each bite boasted a perfect crispiness, while maintaining a fresh and delicious taste that left me craving more. Despite the bustling crowd, I managed to snag a seat at the bar, where I could witness the impressive teamwork of the understaffed but dedicated front-of-house team. Despite the challenges, the trio running the front of the house went above and beyond to entertain the customers and ensure that everyones food arrived promptly after being cooked. It was a testament to their commitment to excellent service and hospitality. As I savored the delightful flavors of my seafood feast, I couldnt resist indulging in a mango margarita, which proved to be the perfect accompaniment. The drink was not only delicious but also refreshing, with generous pieces of mango adding a delightful twist to each sip. Overall, my experience at Happyrito was nothing short of amazing. From the delectable seafood dishes to the entertaining atmosphere and impeccable service, it was a dining experience to remember. Im already looking forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of their enticing menu offerings.

Im going to preface this review but saying Im from New Orleans and I dont play about my seafood. I first ordered crawfish from here through UberEats last year. It was delicious. The absolutely best crawfish Ive had since Ive been in Texas. Last week I had the Shrimp pasta, fish tacos and crab roll. Everything was seasoned and tasty. The crab rolls are a little pricey but they are really good. The only complaint I have is that the shrimp pasta was salty. I appreciate the shrimp being seasoned along with the sauce and pasta, however it pushed it over the line from perfectly seasoned to overly salted. My husband and I werent able to finish the pasta. The fish tacos were so good. I dont know what type of fish they used but baby it was sea-sonnnnneedddd and fried just right. I cant wait to go back and get down on the crawfish.

Nasty!!! I ordered a shrimp Po Boy from this place. I watched the lady cook wipe her nose multiple times before grabbing my bread with the same hand. The kitchen manager was sitting right outside of the window when this was done. I asked the cashier to cancel the Po Boy. She reported the nose rubbing to the manager but the manager basically smirked and told the cook to stay out of view where she could be seen. The lady made other customers orders after that. Gross! That cook did not wash her hands and was clearly sick with a running nose and the manager thought it was funny instead of apologizing on behalf of the restaurant. Ewww

Happy Boil sauce - spicy or very spicy level. The mild doesn t have as much flavor IMO. The crawfish was very sweet for frozen. Also a great size, I was pleasantly surprised. The soft shell crab were a MUST ORDER. Crispy and juicy. Add some hot sauce in the remoulade and it will be perfect. I recommend the mineral water since the tap tasted weird, but I m from NY so that might be why. If you re use to Texas tap, you should be fine. Customer service was amazing and prices were reasonable. I also love the fitted gloves! Makes it so much easier to peel. DON T miss the mango drink, it was delicious. What a deal at $6. Wish I lived in the area so I could go once a week!

Weve been here several times, and it always satisfies our seafood boil cravings. The previously frozen crawfish are a bit hard to get out of their shells; theyre stubborn. The garlic butter seasoning tastes like the garlic is the canned minced stuff. Not my favorite, personally, but it looks like a lot of other reviewers dont mind. Dietary restrictions: Note for diabetics and keto folk: When we ordered the garlic butter seasoning, it tasted sweet. The sausage is also sweet. Surprises everywhere. The restaurant said the garlic butter shouldnt have had sugar in it . . . I wonder if they got the garlic butter and happy butter mixed up when preparing our boil? My partner thinks the butter might have been popcorn butter, which can be sweet.

The Fried Shrimp Basket was very filling; 8 fried shrimp, parmesean garlic fries, salad, rice, and beans. There are other options for fries (regular and cajan), dipping sauces were between tarter sauce and cocktail sauce, and salad dressing was between ranch, italian, thousand island. The blue crab and snow crab were cooked perfectly, with a side of butter sauce and spicy mayo for dipping. Best of all, the snow crab was covered with minced garlic! The shrimp boil was seasoned perfectly, not too salty with delicious spices. We got the spicy, and it was the perfect amount without creating a fire in your mouth. There is mild available for those who prefer mild. The fried fish was cooked perfect with a thin coating of batter. Melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back!

Beware this is not Authentic Seafood Boil! So called boil come in a basket with seasons on it not marinated in bag! Very misleading! Basically boiled seafood with a sprinkle of whatever seasoning you pick. Better and Authentic Boils in the area! I personally will not return!

Food tasted amazing. Customer service was lacking. I paid for a basket of crab legs which was never received. We told our waitress twice. Once we were done eating we also informed the gentleman handling the orders. He said he spoke to the cooks in the back, who stated they know they made the crab legs bc of their ticket process. We then again, informed him we didn t get them. He then said sorry they said they made them. It s unfortunate to pay for food and never receive it. Our party of 9 in total paid close to $400 in food that evening, and we were treated like we were asking for free food which was not the case.

This place is a must try and with a line out the door on a Sunday night there is good reason to wait . Wife got snow crab boil which was outstanding , seasoned well , shells were snappy and not soft and old . Sausage was spicy and tasty , corn was fresh . I got the soft shell crab basket with a side of fried oysters . Both were excellent . The friend oysters were seasoned so well , almost like a Nashville spicy . Way better than good .

The happy sauce for the crawfish is out of this world. It is my favorite crawfish in Austin. My only complaint is that the catfish portion is small, and the fries that comes with it are not good. They taste like frozen fries and have an aftertaste. They nailed the crawfish, now perfect the sides!

First visit to this Vietnamese /Cajun Seafood restaurant. All ordering is by app from your table. You pick your spice level and flavor. Had the snow crab boil and it was great not as messy as some restaurants of this type. When we visited it was Crawfish season so lots of people were ordering masses of mudbugs. Decent drink and beer selection. Crab was very good, unless you really like spicy food dont go above level 2 on the spice meter

Flavorful & great service. We each got 3 lbs crawfish boil, happy style, spicy for $30. Spicy was a light kick it wasnt overwhelming. Also got shrimp boil, happy style, spicy for $30. It comes with a cup of gumbo, 1 potato, corn, and sausage. We only got 4 pieces of sausage with ours. Its enough shrimp to share though. My friend got fish tacos and really enjoyed them. Lychee tea and Thai Tea was refreshing. They also sell margaritas and have a bar seating area. Its a pretty tiny location. Best part is you can just sit at any table, scan a QR code, and order without waiting in line. Parking: Its in a large plaza in Lake Creek area with plenty of parking and shops nearby.

Great flavor, nice size and very heavy on the garlic (personal favorite). My only complaint was that we called ahead to order but we still ended up waiting over 20 minutes to get the food. It was sitting and waiting on a shelf the whole time because they were too busy to verify ticket orders. Next time I will either Door Dash or sit in when its not as busy.

The male cashier put my order right after many people coming into the restaurant after me. The only reason I can think of is I did not pay a tip for my takeout order. What a bad experience! If you want to pay a lot more tips to get in front of others (not guaranteed since people may pay more), I suggest a try.

We stopped here for crawfish on a weekend trip to Austin. Service was friendly and helpful from all the staff. Casual place with good vibes and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered three pounds of crawfish and takoyaki balls. We did the signature sauce at the spiciest level on the crawfish, which was more of a mild. The takoyaki was good, but couldve had a crispier edge for me. Prices were fair. Id go back.

The wife and I love crawfish and have our normal spot, but wanted to try a new place. Happy Rito was good! The mudbugs were delicious and fresh with the signature happy sauce seasoning. I also had a michelada that paired well with them. A couple of things that warranted the 4-star rating. The minimum 3 lb order only comes with one corn and one potato. Should be at least two or maybe one each per pound. The potato was also underdone. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend trying it out. We left satisfied.

First time here. The food was absolutely amazing, large portions, appetizers were so delicious, and the margaritas were so refreshing. We got the birds nest, potstickers (would of preferred the traditional sauce but their sauce was yummy), crab egg rolls, Snow Crab Boil (happy style/mild (I will probably try traditional next time), Gumbo (i didnt like it but my husband did), Happy Boil (spicy). People complain about the price but we feel its reasonably priced considering what goes into facilitating the seafood transport. Technically we could have split this food 4 ways instead of two so it would of only been $40/person not counting tip.
