Decent sushi but they nickel and dime you for EVERY LITTLE THING and are very inconsistent with their pricing and sizing of the extra add ons . One day sauce or anything extra costs .50 then another day it s $1 in a MUCH SMALLER container. By the end, you will have paid the price of a whole nother sushi roll with their add on prices. Frustrating

We liked the food. The servers were top notch. However the background music was a distraction. They had a local radio station playing hip hop and a lot of commercials. If one likes hip hop with a lot of commercials then theres no problem. We would have liked to hear something else. The manager was unwilling to play something else. Sad...

I ordered the uptown roll today and it was incredibly FISHY! I m a sushi girl and have never complained to be honest, but it was not good. I paid 18$ for that roll and miso soup and it just wasn t good. We also when we went in day they charge .50 extra cents for sauce AND 2$ extra if u order take out and wanna sit in!? EXCUSE ME? lol if I order ur food u will not get my 2$ to sit in ur restaurant. I won t ever give this place my business again which is really unfortunate bc it has potential. Can t say much about the service it was mid they weren t rude but definitely didn t go out of their way to make us feel welcome.

Don t waste your money! The service was slow and the food was terrible. The sushi didn t taste fresh and I ve had better frozen pad Thai. I asked for it to be spicy. They just sent a pile of red pepper flakes and charged me an extra dollar . Overall this place was super disappointing.

Its a shell of what it once was. Ownership has changed and it is in disrepair. The food is lowww quality and nothing is made fresh. My food was out in five minutes.... They seem to no longer have juice on thr menu. Twice I have ordered apple juice to be told they have no juice at all. This time was my last time here. I couldnt find the eel in my eel roll, my daughter noted that her home cooked fried rice tastes better than theirs....shes 10. The service deserves its own dissertation. Abysmal.

The food was good, but I gave a three because my salad that came in the bento box had a long hair in it. I put a pic of my hair to show it was not my hair. The service is not like other restaurants they let you sit knowing that the wait is long and dont offer you a drink. They dont try to get your money rather they give you a refund if you ask not like ask you if your are sure they cant get you free sow soup. They are just slow. The atmosphere could be better just by some again music. The food is great just slow.

This place has the worst Pad Thai we have ever had. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai and the noodles were bad and the shrimp had an after taste. The Spicy Ramen was terrible. It is way over priced and the food it is not good. Unfortunately we had to throw the food away. If I could, I would give 0 stars.

This is my daughter s favorite place to eat so it was no-brainer where we were going for her birthday. We enjoyed our meal as we always do when we come here. The service was great with the exception of when I got a drink from the bar as it wasn t mixed very well. This is why I gave the service 3 stars.

The food is barely mediocre, however pricey. The menus (two of them, for no apparent reason) are one total chaos. They are out of many things so you have to guess your way through them. The staff can be impolite with enforcing a tip on you or cards not working for them. The place doesn t have any climate. Still you won t die if you eat there.

The food here is always excellent! The service most of the time is perfect. However, occasionally you get a new person and theyre usually young and you know how young people can be. But for the most part as I was saying this service is pretty on point. The atmosphere? Its cute! Its kind of homey, inviting, and you feel comfortable sitting in this establishment. I would highly recommend going to this place anytime of the week.

Restaurant is extremely slow and does not start To go orders until you arrive to pick it up causing a 30 to 45 minute wait. The waitresses and cooks kept telling me they were bagging the order to staul me and I ended up waiting about 45 minutes just to never get the order. SMH

I use to love this place, but after todays visit, I wont be returning. Ill start with the biggest issue first. Some lady walks in with a dog and goes behind the bar area and sits the dog on the counter where customers eat and drink and plays with them for a moment. Then she picks the dog up and sits the dog on the back counter by the alcohol and leaves him there. Proof in the pic Im about to post. In addition to this, after serving 1 glass of tea they were out. We waited for more which never came and was offered water instead. Next, we get our food and its accidentally eaten by someone else becauee she didnt properly identify the sushi when it was brought out. Smh...then when my group gets the checks, she tries to hand all the books to us instead of reading off whos ticket is whos, talk about lazy. Wont be back.

Yea... I will never be back here. The fried rice and gyoza were very bland. After counting there were 6 very small, dime sized pieces of beef in the rice. There was more fat than beef and they just threw the meat on top, without being mixed throughout the rice. The gyoza were lacking in flavor. After paying over $30 for my poor meal, I had to pay additional .50 for soy sauce that was not even in the bag. Like come on!!! I could have went to Panda Express and paid less, had more flavor, and COMPLIMENTARY sauce. The price definitely did not match the quality of the food!!!

Sushi - DECENT All the other food- NOT GOOD (Ramen was sweet somehow??? The tonkotsu was flavorless and chewy. Do not waste your money on it. Ill start off with the good. The sushi was pretty good, I got the Da Kraken roll. The spicy ramen was really bad. Ive never had ramen with a hardboiled egg, I definitely prefer soft boiled as its usually prepared for ramen, The pork itself was way way overcooked, it kind of seemed like they boiled the pork, I didnt eat any of it. I was hoping the broth would have some flavor to it, but not really. Ill come back if I just want sushi. Moon sushi in the outside mall down the street is a bit better because the Ramen is pretty solid and the sushi is good too.

The sushi rolls are amazing. I tried the Ahi Tower (pretty standard but well executed), Da Kraken (super spicy but a great flavor profile with some great fresh fish), and the kiki (beautiful and extremely fresh tasting but not very complex in flavor) which is pictured here with the wineglass The place is not very fancy. They play the local radio station... And if you were going by looks alone you might expect to get cheap Chinese here. Service is a little slow and got my drink order wrong, but the people are sweet and polite. I got my drink comped without asking. All and all recommend giving it a shot if anything because they do what matters... Good beautiful food

I use to love eating here . the quality of food has dropped dramatically the sushi doesnt taste the same as of they are using lower quality products. sent the wrong rice and didnt send any Wasabi or ginger. I had to reorder rice I didnt want for some ginger and Wasabi the sushi was too bland to eat without. I called to complain to Holly she didnt apologize but told me it was cost an Xtra $1 for hot sauce . I explained to her due to her error I had to spend an Xtra $10 to get a dasher to bring Wasabi and ginger she failed to put in the bag. HOLLY I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE YOUR BUSINESS! I was really hoping for a great review after they corrected the last mishap. I went back this time to try some other dishes. The spicy Udon noodles would have been 5 stars for me. BUT!!! the portion of food I received was little to none. I barely had any Udon noodles on my plate more mushroom and bell peppers than anything. I mentioned it when I went back because they forgot my other meet selection. Joker roll I give a 1. The roll itself was falling apart, hardly any sauce and no flavor. My ex on the beach roll- 1 was not good at all and also not put together well. Typhoon roll- 4 out of 5 could have used more sauce on top. Uptown roll -was ok I would give it a 3. Paradise roll- still my favorite. Just skimpy on the sauce. My experience from dining in to take out are like night and day!. I wish the chief I met Benny was there today to prepare my food. Right away the lady at the host stand was very quiet and hard to hear, telling us to scan the QR code for the menu. We were given dirty soy sauce dishes plates. We asked for new ones, only to be given new dirty ones. There were flies all around our rolls, which werent good The veggie tempura was served in what looked like a dirty bread basket. Overall fantastic lunch experience here at BN Sushi & Grill in Cedar Hill. My only issues were the slow service and food coming out of the kitchen at such differences that some members of the party were done eating before others could even begin. For their part they did warn that service would be slow with a handmade sign on the door. I would return as this is as excellent Japanese and the value was great. Will add a star when they can sort out staffing and timing issues.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am appalled by the lack of customer service at this establishment. I put my order in over the phone was told an hour wait time and then hand to wait AN ADDITIONAL HOUR IN THE RESTAURANT for my order. My order was not even correct and was poorly made. My son and I wanted a quick sushi lunch before our movie. Big mistake. When we walked in there was a bad odor but I thought maybe it was just from the outside. We sat down and were brought dirty soy sauce dishes and plates and had to clean them with napkins. The shrimp tempura all was okay. The rolls were revolting. We could barely swallow one of each before pushing our plates away. And even though we barely ate, the best they could do was take off 3.75. Never again. How can you mess up a California roll? This place used to be Suzushi s - after the owner passed and they reopened as BN, it is not the same. Not even close. We used to come in often and it was amazing. We recently moved back to the area and came in last Sunday @4:30. I was seriously disappointed, the food was mediocre at best, no more hibachi plates, only sizzling plates. We ordered filet mignon. There is no way the meat they gave us was filet Mignon. Service was decent but the lack of menus and the hard to navigate online menu was aggravating. Today(Jan.4, 2023) I ordered takeout. Ive eaten at BN Sushi, on numerous occasions. My order consisted of two bento boxes. They were happy to extend me credit, or I could get the food. I choose the food. Of course, I had to drive back to the restaurant, to retrieve the food. My gasoline is nearly $5.00 per gallon. As a drive a diseal vehicle. BN was very apologetic as well. When I arrived, I was given the food I didnt initially receive. Youd think, there would have been an extra fried rice, wonton, soup, etc., for their mistake? And my inconvenience, of having to return to their place of business? Well I can tell you, there wasnt any extra food at all. Boy! I tell yall, customer service isnt what it use to be. There are too many restaurants from which to choose from. I will not be returning to BN Sushi. A very disappointed customer!

Went in today and was told they only had one person waiting tables. They were pretty busy and we would have to wait for a booth to be bussed and cleaned. My friend and I enjoy the food here and we decided to wait. The table we were waiting on became available and as we were being seated a family jumped up from their table and the man yelled no to the hostess and told her we could not have the table that they wanted it. These people had already been seated, had their meals and everything and the host looked at us and then let the family move. This was beyond RUDE! How do you allow anyone to take a table from someone else, especially after waiting for sometime and then tell us we would need to wait some more while the RUDE familys dirty table be cleaned for my friend and I...??? I made it clear to the manager just how bad that looked and she apologized with the sincerity of a ... never mind...do not want to be a name caller. After eating there for years since the last owners as Suzushi , we will be going elsewhere.

I absolutely love this place. Staff is very attentive. The only thing I dont like much is that I have to view the menu on my phone, which is pretty inconvenient as I have to navigate between pages when I want to look at different items while I am choosing what I want. Which makes it harder for me.

Decided I wanted sushi for dinner and ordered from this location. When placing the order over the phone, the employee was not helpful when asked questions about their sushi rolls leaving me to quickly decide on the Dragon Roll. The roll itself was not good at all. It was made hastily and fell apart while eating. Coupled along with the terrible customer service (even when picking up the food) I won t return to this sushi restaurant.

Nasty. I have had way better food. I dont see HOW this restaurant got rated the best sushi in Cedar Hill. I guess Cedar Hill needs a lesson on sushi and seafood. I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon Bento Box and my Salmon was burnt on the bottom. The Sushi wasnt fresh, and the salad tasted like it was old. I will never eat there again.

This restaurant does not have paper menus , only a QR code to scan for the menu. I am sorry, but this is a problem for me and other diners. I kept hearing from the waitress, we are trying to get new ones printed with new prices. How hard is that? I can do that for them in one day. The waitress then said she would bring me a paper menu, but what sh3 brought me was torn, and dirty with writing all over it. Gross! If a restaurant cannot take care of fundamentals like a menu, I cannot trust the kitchen. Also, booth seating was worn and torn. Just seems like highly sloppy management and ownership. Will not return.

My wife and I have eaten here several times over the last few years and had good experiences with the food and service. this past experience was not as good. Something had changed. We sat with one side up against a wall, and the seat fabric was torn, exposing the cloth backing. We ordered a sushi sampler with our dinner, to start with, and it came on a plain white plate with no accompaniments, like wasabi paste or pickled ginger, just 4 pieces of semi warm Shushi on a white saucer. I was a little surprised. Our entrees came next, my wife had ordered the pad- thai with chicken and I ordered a Bento box with salmon. Her entrée was very plain, very bland, unremarkable. Mine came in much better with crisp tempura vegetables, steamed white rice, and the salmon which was way overcooked to the point of being charred, almost a piece of jerky. A shame when you cant cook a piece of salmon correctly. I had a dark beer which was a delight. We probably wont be going back here, I know there are other Sushi restaurants to eat at. The service was good, and the food not the servers fault, but either management or ownership should be aware.

Great experience at the restaurant back in March. I really love fish, especially good sashimi. I have eaten at BN Sushi & Grill before with wife, but this time I brought the kids alone on my dinner date with them. I ordered Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box for the kids and Sashimi Sampler for mysel. (Not pictured) Totally loved our food choice as kids devoured the rolls (for them its better version of kimbap) and the salmon. My sashimi sampler was super fresh. I could have two portions like that. Kids had vanilla Ice-cream for desert and we had such sweet service from our lovely waitress. (Hope the lady at the cashier was alright. I still think their food is good but the quality has gone down a bit, idk if they switched management because the name is different, my last two stops there the baked salmon I normally get had chewy bits in it which Ive never exp before. Recently the old school roll still had bones in the fish which Ive never experienced. And the cup that the Thai Tea comes in is drastically smaller than it use to be with the carry out orders. Theyre no long my favorite sushi spot but still top 5. If you didnt go there before management changed you probably wont notice the quality has changed.

Literally the only place I w a n t sushi from. My family enjoys their other non sushi dishes, fried rice. The kids love the noodles and chicken that come with the kids meals. *sigh* I ve been coming to this place for years! 10-11 years to be exact. This past Sunday we came to dine in. We were sat down and we could hear the manager or boss yelling at the host across the room for seating us at the table, not sure why this wasn t done in private, minus the yelling. We felt super uncomfortable. Next our server comes to take our order. Brings out my fiancés soup and salad and forgets to bring me mine. 15 minutes later after my fiancé finished his soup and salad I asked her about my miso and she just says ok and brings it over, never apologizing for forgetting. We sit and wait for the rest of our entrees and notice our waiter is also doing all the takeout orders so we knew she was going to focus all her time doing those to go orders and we were correct. My food comes out, she mistakenly gave me rolls vs the individual sushi I ordered but I didn t say anything since I knew she wouldn t come back any time soon and I was correct. My food sat in front of me for about 25 - 30 minutes. We see countless to go orders being prepped and other tables that came after we did get all their food and finish before we started. My kids and fiancé still haven t gotten their food at this time and we just wanted to leave. I get a chance to flag down our server who seemed so annoyed to be interrupted. She asks if everything came out ok and I let her know they were STILL waiting for their bento box and fried rice. Again, no apology for the long wait and just walks backs and brings our food. I was so close to walking out but didn t want to make a scene. I used to love this place and introduced so many locals to this restaurant. Unfortunately, due to service I will no longer come back. 2 stars for all the great times spent here throughout the years but 0 stars for our last dinner experience here.

The manager was very rude! He didn t greet me with a friendly greeting, nor did he welcome me when I came in. I was coming in to join my family for dinner and I was about to pull up a chair from a vacant table to sit down, he just yelled out you can t do that it s a fire hazard. So we asked if they could pull up another table and he said maybe. But I wanted to leave but my wife insisted that I stay. He never apologized nor did he ask was everything okay with him pulling up the other table. Overall I wasn t pleased at all with their hospitality!!!
